Been bringing my vehicle there for 15+ yrs. Owner Mark McGovern has passed. Mark was always willing to help. Now his son Allan took it over. The service is still as usual as Allan was a mechanic for his Dad and learned from the Best. I recommend this place a million times. Great workers

Great shop and fair pricing! I had taken my car to 2 different shops 4 times total with no solution. I bring it here once and they had everything fixed and my car drives great now. Great auto repair & service shop! I like how they take time to explain everything so you can actually understand. It's nice to not feel pressured & rushed like i've experienced at other repair shops. My mom & I have been loyal customers for many years. Highly recommend!

McGovern has been great after an oil change. I was having some fluid leakage that started after it and they took a look within an hour of me bringing it by without notice, inspected it, showed me around under the vehicle, and took my thoughts seriously. They also didn't even consider charging me since it was potentially related to that oil change. Very happy with the experience, and from my couple of stops in I've seen a lot of trust from their clientele. Thank you for your help!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

After being ripped off by other auto shops in town, even one with good reviews. A friend of mine recommended his friends family auto shop. After being ripped off with bad service from other shops, I said at this point, it couldn't hurt to give them a try. And I'm sure glad I did. The other auto shop gave me wrong service for the issues with my car. This shop here, finally fixed the issue. And they was even wondering why other shop were telling me the wrong info after I showed them what service I got from the other shop, the one on Jackson St across the gun store. McGovern fixed it right the first time, and was actually cheaper then the first few shops. And since then I have always taken my car into McGovern. I had to take my old Taurus in for just a regular tune up, and the staff there was very attentive, they wanted me to be interactive with them and let me know everything that was going on. At I'll tell ya this, they were very affordable. They were honest, and they even let me go and buy the parts outright to save a little on overhead. It's not a well known place, but simply by reputation and word-of-mouth do they have good business.I can tell you, I will be taking our cars there for service, tune-ups, repairs, etc.from now on.

Four years ago, my wife was driving our van when it developed a mechanical problem. Two men stopped to help push it out of the road. Both of the men worked for McGovern's Auto Repair and we took the van there to be fixed. Ever since that first time their employees stopped to help, we've been loyal customers. It's a good feeling knowing that you can trust your mechanic! I would recommend McGovern's to anyone needing car repairs at a fair price.

I'd recommend anyone to go here who needs their car to be fixed. They are honest, hard workers and fix your car the right way. They don't lie or try to bull**** you into fixing something that doesn't need fixing. Definitely recommend this place.

They did work on a couple of my cars back 10+ years ago when I lived in Oshkosh. They were really reliable and the owner is trustworthy. I'd take my vehicles back there if I was still in the area.

This is my family s go to friendly honest repair shop. They always give 100% effort and speed to fix what is wrong and Me and my dad trust McGovern s. Thanks Mark and your team for what you guys do! Recommend If you live in the Oshkosh area.

Tried to call several times to try to schedual a fix for my car. Rang for over a minute then started beeping, never went to voicemail. Jad heard good things. Just disappointed the phone was never picked up. Had to go elsewhere

Saved 600 dollars going to Mcgoverns on a transmission/clutch install. will always be a customer. Got me decent/affordable brand name tires.Thanks Mark!

I am new to Oshkosh and needed a trusted mechanic. I surveyed about 5-6 places and asked the same question and got different responses. McGovern's answered my questions well and even gave me a tour!McGovern's impressed me from the begining and have done a great job for my wife and I over the past 2 years.Regarding the Aug. 14, 2010 review, I can't trust a review that doesn't give detail and types that many exclimation points.

I can never get through to schedule appointment. Pretty sure phone is put off the hook alot of the times. It's convenient to go there, but not if I can't get through. Guess I have to go elsewhere
