I got a quote and tried to set up an appointment for close to a month. I was upfront with the fact that I'm a disabled vet and I'd be using a third party vet's association to pay for the replacement. I could never get them to give me a firm time or date on when they'd make an appointment. I could hardly get them to return my phone calls or texts.Last week I was supposed to have the appointment, but there was some discourse with the business and my third party. They changed the appointment to the next day. I never got a time for either day. At the end of the day, I finally got a text saying they weren't doing it that day and they'd switch to Monday morning, fine. I asked what time, I got "you're the second job". I texted at 9 saying I had a quick errand and would be back. Nothing. I called. Nothing. I called my third party and we discussed the issue. Apparently they'd spoken to my third party, but not myself, the plan had been for the third party to arrive while the glass was being installed, but the owner wanted the check before starting the job. The owner alluded to my third party that if the job wasn't paid for, he'd get the lien on my car. Never once have we not said we wouldn't pay him, just that the job had to be done before the association could pay for it.I finally get a call from the owner and he said he'll be coming to do the job in roughly two hours, he just needs to hear from my third party. I tell my third party this, he calls, and then the owner gets upset, says they don't take checks, and hangs up. I still have not received a call notifying me of these changes. The secretary did texted me at one point saying her phone had died, and that we'd reschedule for tomorrow, but that was before my third party spoke with the owner.I'm sure he's good at installing glass. Heck, I picked them because he seemed like an honest and good man on the phone. To me, it seems that either of these people are too old to understand newer technology and things that are slightly different than what they're used to. Sure did teach me a valuable lesson about strictly shopping local.

Mike came out super short notice when I had limited availability and took care of some windshield chips. Efficient, kind, professional. Always happy to support non-corporate small business owners who do a great job.

I had them set up to install the glass on my 68 cutlass, and they only do classic cars on Friday, and had the last 4 Friday's scheduled, and canceled every time, and told me after the 3 cancelation that he only will do it if he has time his other customers come first, and it was my falt for giving him another chance, and he canceled again. And when I told him I would have to find another place to do the windows he just hung up on me.

They replaced my glass with factory original glass. That glass cracked 3 months later. Called them up and Mike came out, inspected the glass and took photos to submit for a warranty claim as it wasn t caused by a rock. Months went by and I didn t hear from them. I started calling them and it went to voicemail every time. I suspected I was being screened so I asked a friend to call from a different number and they answered right away. I am still waiting for a call regarding my warranty claim, it s been 3 months. Don t walk, run from this company!Update: I was ghosted! Dependable would not respond to me in any way. I had my windshield replaced by another company and the owner/installer said my windshield had been installed incorrectly. I could have filed in Small Claims but the cost in lost work didn t make it worth it. I have since spoken with two other glass companies in the area and they were aware that Mike at Dependable was as shady as they come.

Heather and Mike are great! Heather is super friendly and so helpful. It kept raining when we would schedule my installation, and Heather followed up to find another time that worked for me. They worked with my schedule and traveled all the way from Oregon to Baraboo--so helpful! The best part? WAY cheaper than anywhere else that I looked! I actually ended up forgetting about my appointment, and Mike came to my work while I had left for lunch. They both called me, and were still so nice and understandings. I came back to my work so Mike could replace my windshield, and he was equally as helpful as Heather! He explained the whole process to me, and let me know what was going on and what to expect. I really hope that I don't need another windshield here soon, but if I do, I know where I'm going. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Thank you both again!

Not only did Dependable Auto Glass come to me (in a neighboring city), but they charged significantly LESS for replacing my windshield than the other five places I called for quotes. Had a chip in my front windshield. Called & Heather was the most professional person. Made the appointment & the next day the owner came to my place, very nice, down to earth kinda guy & it only took about ten minutes! Didn't even break the bank lol!

First of all, they had the best prices out of everywhere in the Madison area. Very reasonable. They came to where my car was parked at work and replaced my windshield seal in less than 30 minutes. The new seal solved the problem I had been having and it has been holding up great. The flexible scheduling, friendly receptionist, all around excellent service and quality workmanship will have me coming back again! I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

Mike (sole installer) came out and was very nice and installed my windshield initially. I later realized that he installed it incorrectly and had to call multiple times to schedule an appointment for him to fix it. I scheduled two separate appointments where both were no call and no shows. I finally got a hold of them via email after many attempts and they rudely responded saying they had already come out and they hadn't seen my car in the parking lot where it was initially installed so they left. Why would you not call the customer? They specifically said they would call when they are close and of course did not. They said that they would come out one more time but that I had to leave my car in a public parking lot with the car unlocked and refused to call me to give me a heads up as to when they were coming. I even offered to meet them somewhere that was more convenient. To any person leaving your car unlocked in a public parking lot is not the best idea. STAY AWAY. They are very shady and do not stand by their work.

I had them replace a broken side view mirror. They were friendly and helpful on the phone, got me an estimate quickly, and were able to schedule the work for the next day. The actual work was done early in the morning at my home, took less than 30 mins., and I was able to get on the road to work right after. I'd definitely reach out to them again if I'm ever in need of auto glass or mirror work.

My experience with Mike at Dependable Auto Glass was great when in came to scheduling the job. I had a good feeling that he was going to do quality work. After the windshield was replaced I contacted his office with a few concerns. There were some spots on the inside of the windshield that I couldn't remove myself (looked like glue or adhesive), the molding was tucked under in 3 areas, and there was excess glue/adhesive in one corner (sloppy workmanship). It took several calls to get Mike to come and fix the problems, and his demeanor was very defensive'rude. At one point he said "but I used genuine Subaru parts from the dealership." When he finally did come to fix the issues, the work was not completed. There is still one spot on the windshield (I told him there were 9, and he only removed 8), the molding is still somewhat tucked under in 2 of the 3 places, and the excess glue is not completely removed. David Gordon's review (below) outlines several things that I experienced also with regards to not calling before arrival, not being willing to meet to discuss the problems, etc. I am very unhappy with the outcome of this windshield replacement, and would not recommend Dependable Auto Glass.

The reception was very kind. Windshield replaced on time, at my place of work, and good value, but had issue with air leakage. Called to set an appointment to fix. First time did not completely fix the problem. A few issues in communication, but eventually problem was resolved.

Spoke with Heather over phone who was extremely professional, polite, and helpful. Went out of her way to find information for me, and explain entire process. We tried to use this company they called and cancelled on us the first time never verified they were coming the second time and moved onto next job because I was driving and didn't answer after I made it clear I may not be home or able to answer depending on time because of work but someone would be home with the vehicle . Called him back 10 mins after he called he didn't answer then called me back a half hour later saying he moved on and probably would have to reschedule because he went onto the next job and they don't work after 5. Said he would call when done with that hob never showed up or called back never got a response from the office either will never try to use them again or recommend them we will gladly be paying more to actually get the job done after being put off for 2 weeks.
