We had shocks and struts replaced on our 10 year old vehicle. The work was done on time as it always is. We noticed a noise from the rear of the car. We called, they got the car back in quickly and found a defective shock. They replaced it at no charge and followed up to make sure things are going well. Excellent customer service with an innovative approach to repairs. I was quoted between $300-$600 everywhere else in the La Crosse area for the removal of my corroded metal tire caps. Cordell s problem solving approach uncovered the most cost effective solution to my problem with great timeliness, all while keeping me well informed through the process. I will only go to Cordell s going forward.

Extremely professional. Dropped my car off for an oil change and was offered a complimentary shuttle but I didn t need one. My car was ready ahead of schedule. Very thorough inspection of all running components of my car for which I was then given estimates for repairs I should address in the near future. Thankful for their service.

Had the greatest experience at Cordell's in Onalaska. Jeremy and John Dobbs took care of my car care and alignment. They were friendly, professional and a overall great experience. Inexpensive, got me in right away and quality service makes me a customer forever. Thank you Jeremy and John for your knowledge, customer service and quality work.

After reading previous reviews, I ve found out that I m not the only person that this has happened to. I dropped my car off in a state that it was driving just fine besides a few random jolts. However, when I got it back it was no longer safe to drive.Long story:I took my car in for an inspection due to my car jolting randomly. It was frequent enough to where it happened a few times a week & I wanted to get it fixed, to make sure no further damage occured.I took it to Cordell s & they inspected it. They told me the motor mount needed to be replaced & it ll be good to go. So, I approved that & picked my car up the following day.However, not even one mile of driving my car after it was just worked on, it started vibrating uncontrollably, making very loud noises, and jolting constantly - making it very difficult to drive. I called them immediately when I arrived home (multiple times) & they never picked up. So, I tried calling on my boyfriend s phone & they picked up right away. Coincidence? Not sure. All I knew was that I dropped my car off in a driveable manner and it was no longer safe to drive.They told me to drop it off that following Monday because they couldn t get it in to be looked at again.I took it in Monday & they checked it out. They said the spark plugs & coil boots needed to be replaced & that costs over $1.1K. However, researching online & speaking with other auto services shows that the parts only cost about $300 so they were going to charge me over $800 for labor. So, I went back, took my car, & am never going back there again.When I picked up my car for the last time, Ryan (the person at the desk) claimed multiple times that we will always give you an honest answer, a fair price, & you can always trust us . False, false, & false. Then, he proceeded to ask about buying my car from me after they just ruined it.

I hate to have to post a negative review but this is the second time we had the same bad experience in getting tires replaced. My husband asked to drop the vehicle off in the afternoon, but they had us bring it in early morning even though they didn t work on it and finish it until near closing time. We brought a vehicle here before for new tires/tire rotation and when we picked it up the rims were scraped up. I figured it was just an accident, probably didn t happen often. Now it happened with our newer car, our nice rims are scratched up. I took pictures of the rims before taking it in this time in case it were to happen again. They also left grease handprints all over the door and inside. We haven t had these types of problems taking it to Walmart in the past, we expected more from a reputable place.My husband recently took another vehicle for a power steering problem. They didn t even fill the power steering fluid reservoir after replacing the part and had the vehicle sitting there for days before they got to it.Service: Auto tire replacement

Good for easy stuff. I don t trust them when it comes to anything after a diagnosis. You could go in because your tires are sliding and they will try to get you to do 10 other things to try and get you to spend money.

This is by far the best automotive repair service around. They are honest and and trustworthy which is sometimes lacking in other automotive businesses. The repair was done on time and the price was very reasonable. The staff is great and Kyle is the best to work with.Updated Feb 7. Another excellent experience at Cordell's. Erin is so friendly. She took the time to answer my questions and so easy to work with. Every person I have dealt with has been the absolute best. I can't say enough great things about this place. If you're not going there, you need to. They are honest and trustworthy.

I told them the part I needed replaced. They ordered but either recieved wrong gasket or ordered the wrong one. A couple hour job lasted all day. Not sure where the ball was dropped. Workman ship was excellent. They even came in under the estimate. I have used them in the past and will continue to use them.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

EDIT: I wasn't going to write this but I consciously can't let people have there vehicles neglected by this place like mine and my finances vehicle has been neglected the last year and a half.To keep it simple, the new bunch of mechanics overlook issues on your vehicle, basically lie about there inspections. Lied to me about completing about $3,000 worth of repairs on my fiance's vehicle, didn't replace all the parts that needed to be leaving her with a serve pull to the left in her alignment that I happened to notice 4 months later when I drove her vehicle for the first time since repairs. On my vehicle, they overlooked a thermostat that had nasty crustiness around it. Checking the thermostat is part of their larger inspection they do on your vehicle. I used to trust taking my vehicle there. Not any more. What's really interesting is I noticed the good mechanics that worked there were moved to other shops. I don't know what's going on at that shop, but it's not what it used to be...Unbelievable customer service!! I can't believe how well I was taken care of. I came in with a minor issue vehicle wise, a coolant hose clamp was overlooked from a previous repair done on the vehicle at a different shop. Me and Dan discussed the problem and what he did for me will forever stand out. I was put in a courtesy car until they could look at it, which wasn't until the next day. Wjwnu received a call from them about my vehicle, nothing major really became of the loose clamp and I was charged ZERO, ZILCH NADA!!! Yeah, sounds unreal, but I promise it isn't. Go there for yourself and experience fair, and honest work on your vehicle. Thanks again to Dan and Cordells!

very polite staff! easy and efficient appointment and communication! had my engine light sensor read at a chain and then called with the code to book my service appointment. got the estimate in my email and could accept or decline each part they recommend replacing, along with a timeline when i could pick my vehicle up. would definitely use cordell s again for future service!!Services: Battery service, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Battery, Oil change

I have used Cordell s in Onalaska for about the last six months for any car issue we have had. I drive about a hour to come here because they are very honest and service it great! I have 3 older cars that are in excellent running condition now. Highly recommend!I am editing to add that I love the fact that they have a texting feature.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning, Local hauling, Oil change

1/11/23 Edit... didn't see a spot to add another review so I will edit and existing one! Would have to give another 5 star for this edit. I had started for my work and heard a strange rattle from the front passenger side when went over larger bumps. I called about 20 minutes before the Onalaska location closes to see if I could still stop.. they said yes! So I got there just a couple minutes before closing and they were able to take a quick look and fix a couple loose nuts on tie rod linkage. Was back on the road after just less than 20 minutes. Thanks to the great team they have and taking me in so close and over the normal closing time!!Good place, that I have been to many times over the years! Normally just basic maintenance..but they can fix/repair it all. One of the few shops that will put tires on if you didn't buy them there or already had previously. They will show you actual pictures of things they find that will need to be addressed in the future. I haven't felt like I was ever up-sold for something I didn't need. Will continue to go there!

Excellent service.My brakes borked up on my way out of my driveway; Cordell's was my 3rd call (the first 2 calls to other local service centers that I've been to before) and they were able to get me in sooner than anyone else in town, so we took a first time chance and I'm happy to day that I'm so glad we did! They provided me with a detailed assessment of the disrepair of my Camry (including pictures) and sent me a text so I could electronically pick which items I approved for work (brakes & hoses, shocks & struts, air filter, oil change) and which to deny (spark plugs & timing belt (they listed that it was recommended due to the age of my car - cool!)); that was so awesome and liberating!! They were able to get my car done a bit earlier than expected, even.A couple days after I got my car back there was a clunking in the driver's side front when I went over any bumps in the road; called them up & they were able to get me in the next morning to take a look. Half an hour after dropping off the car they called me back - just needed to tighten up the sway bar from doing the shocks. Easy peasy and a fairly common adjustment on that kind of replace/repair. Cool. So cool I'm writing a 5-star review because I'm really happy with how they treated me and my car.Thank you, Cordell's. You deserve your excellent local reputation.

Best Auto Repair shop I have ever been to, this even includes one I used to work for. Extremely friendly, observant, knowledgeable and considerate. We had a vehicle in for repairs and had. Set budget we could work with at the time. I took everything into consideration, noted and fixed the priorities and what could be put off till later. Wish I knew of them when I 1st moved to the area 10 years ago. Definitely will recommend and will be back.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

I had to edit my post. While the initial visit was good. the rest of my experience was not satisfactory at all. I had ordered additional parts to be installed. Once installed, the vehicle was in worse shape than when I dropped it off. I was then told that I would need additional parts installed. I had it checked by another establishment and was told that I did not need those parts and that an alignment was not done after the parts were installed. I have sent two emails to the Shop Manager with no response.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment

I was recommended to Cordell s by a friend. Dan & his crew are amazing! Very knowledgeable & experienced in the auto repair field. They are all very friendly & I love the fact that they have text updates about your vehicle, it s estimates & the text/pictures of the diagnostics test of what needs to be worked on & what doesn t need to be worked on so you can see for yourself. I ve had my vehicle in there a few times now & they get the job done right each time! Reasonable priced too! My battery died on a Sunday night and they were able to get me in for replacement by Tuesday. Also got my oil changed two days later. When they did an inspection, it was great to see a detailed list of what was checked (with pictures) online, and also to approve any maintenance that was needed including maintenance that wasn't initially considered. Pricing was decent for what service was provided. Would recommend!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Battery, Oil change

Very knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous! They were able to order my tires and get me in quickly when other places couldn't for two weeks, did a free safety inspection, had a complete estimate for future work I need done, and even drove me home and back while they working on my car!
