My experience with Cordell s has been absolutely wonderful. I was frustrated from the lack of care taken with my car other places and was at the end of my rope when I brought my car to Cordell s. They assured me they would fix my car and they went above and beyond to take care of it. I now have peace of mind knowing my car is fixed, and I have somewhere I can go and know I can trust them absolutely! They were super efficient, knowledgeable, skilled, and caring. They didn t overcharge me either, as their prices are very fair! Thanks Cordell s!

Solid work, issues fixed pretty quickly. Inspection is dope and you can check what you want done and what you don t. They tell ya what can wait and what probably needs attention soon. Overall good customer service and even provide transportation if you need a ride. Quality of work is definitely worth the price for sure!

Experienced a broken exhaust while driving home on Easter Sunday. Made an appointment online with Cordell's as they were very close and I did not want to drive the car a long distance any longer. Was very impressed with Shane who took my first call as well as the rest of the staff. Communication was clear and timely and I could not be happier with the results of the repair work. Would highly recommend and will be a returning customer.

When we moved to La Crosse, we wanted to find a reliable, trustworthy mechanic. We ve been burned by dishonest and shoddy mechanics in the past and wanted to avoid making that mistake again. We started with Cordell s because of their reputation, and we aren t looking back. We are so grateful for their honesty and quality work. Most especially, when some unexpected car troubles came up at a difficult time, they were extremely helpful in getting what we needed done. Further, they went above and beyond to help us keep it affordable. Every time we go to Cordell s- whether for regular oil changes, tires, or larger repairs- they make sure we are aware of issues without pushing unnecessary or extra fixes. They have honored their word every step of the way and they get work done in a timely manner. These are truly PROFESSIONALS who are focused on providing service that will bring their customers back. It shows in their work. If you need a mechanic you can trust, please give Cordell s a try.

I have been going here for the past 4-5 years. They are extremely nice and very knowledgeable. The customer service is just amazing. After you drop your car off and tell them the issue, they will do a multipoint inspection including a drive test. They then send you a very detailed report of the cause of the problem and what needs to be done. I call them up and they explain the the issue in more detail. My most recent issue was with my trailblazer in which the passenger window fell off the track. They found and fixed that issue, while at the same time reminded me that my ball joints had a lot of movement and sway bar link was broken. I had been putting the ball joint issue off for a while, so I got that and the sway bar link fixed. Rides so much better! Thanks!

Cordell's automotive is the most friendly, flexible, efficient, and intuitive Mechanic in the area. They are on top of everything, their prices are fair, and they are in depth with what they do. As a COLLEGE student, I would not go anywhere else. They fit me in for oil and work recently for my bug and made it work with my tight schedule and their shuttle service. I will continue to go to them as long as I live in the La Crosse area. Highly recommend to all AND specifically to college kids!

I was very pleased with the friendliness and professionalism by the staff. Since I had dropped my car off, they kept me informed as to the progress of the work as well as updates to the cost estimates. When I arrived to pick up my car, the facility was clean and we'll maintained. The bill was explained and any questions I had were answered. I highly recommended Cordell Automotive of Holmen.

These guys were great from the second I talked to them. They tried their best to accommodate me and my cars needs. It's been a long road but Cordell's was honest and respectful. After finding out my engine was blown and very costly, they got in contact with me. They gave me some information for some routes to go. Contacting my dealership. Asking about recalls and warranties. Come to find out my engine was under an extended warranty Iknew nothing about. Jeremy called me daily to see how it was going and if i had got any new information on my behicle.AWESOME!! Thank you so much for your time and patience with me!! I think you have a new lifetime customer.

I have been doing business with Cordell's for a few years now. I am always happy with the staff and service! I don't ever feel like I am being pressured into repairs that aren't necessary and I never have to return with issues that were not properly taken care of the first time around. AWESOME STAFF!! As a resident of La Crosse for nearly 40 years I've never been more impressed with the an auto repair service than Cordell's. I decided to give them a try after reading the reviews about their customer service and award winning Master Tech Dave Schreier. Boy was I not disappointed! They were very professional and helpful from start to finish. Dave made my SUV ride like new, I could not be more pleased. If you are looking for an auto repair shop with exceptional customer service, incredibly reasonable pricing and knowledgeable techs this is the place for you. I've had many shops over the years try to nickel and dime me for things I may or may not need. That was not the case here. Thank you Dave and the Cordell's team you have made a customer for life!

When we moved to La Crosse area three years ago, we were looking for somewhere to take our vehicles and we found Cordell s on Mormon Coulee. We have since been bringing our 3 vehicles here for service. They are always thorough, communicate the concerns to us, make us feel valued, never push repairs onto us, and always have the vehicles back to us better than when we brought them. When our 16 year old started driving and we got her a vehicle it was a no brainer to have Cordell s look over the vehicle to make sure her vehicle was safe and reliable. I also love that they have multiple technicians on staff that have been voted and have won best of La Crosse. I highly recommend anyone to bring their vehicle here for service. Thank you Cordell s!

Air pressure warning light came on in my car during this last frigid week. Called the La Crosse shop and was told to bring it in. All 4 tires were low on air, they added air and sent me on my way with no charge! So accommodating and pleasant to someone they never met. Will recommend them to everyone. Thank you!

Took my truck in to get a valve stem replaced. I new it had a misfire but it would otherwise run reliably. Thought about getting a quote and told them the engine would need a rebuild.They swapped around coil packs to see if it was the coil packs (which it wasn t and were told it wasn t). After leaving got a warning for having low engine pressure mid commute and I had to drive 20 miles down I-90 at 15 mph.Took it to a dealership which identified wires being left unhooked and other components just not put back into place properly. Surprisingly, the upper portion of the engine needed a rebuild. It s extremely upsetting as my dad owned his own auto shop and I worked on cars for 8 years with him as well. I would have done my own work but sold off my tools when I changed jobs.I have seen other mechanics do shady work like this to force customers to pay out for really expensive work. Otherwise this is complete incompetence. Either way I will never go back.Services: Tires, Auto engine diagnostic

We ve been going here since it was Courtesy Car Care but will be in search of a new mechanic going forward. We ran into some issues with our Volkswagen last year and brought it into Cordell s a few times to be looked at with an eventual costly fix coming. Shortly after the repair, the CEL came back on but we were told to disregard as it was likely carbon build up. Months later, the engine ran much worse and we brought it back it with the diagnosis being a new engine replacement. We took it to the dealership for a second opinion where they were insistent that there was not a carbon buildup issue and that an engine replacement was not necessary. Our trust in what Cordell s was telling us made us unwilling to have the dealership invest a bunch of time into diagnostics on their side which was a mistake on our part. After months of back and fourth, we decided to walk away from the vehicle instead of investing more money into it due to neither party being able to agree on what the issue was. We eventually sold the VW as is to a mechanic out of town that was willing to try fixing with the sale price being a fraction of the value of the vehicle due to the mechanic issues. With no more than 15 mins of looking at the vehicle the buyer stated an engine replacement would be an extreme measure from what he saw. Within 48 hours of the buyer purchasing, he sent us an update that the roller rockers had failed which damaged the camshaft. He repaired/replaced this and the car was running great again and was taking a trip down to Florida with it. During the repair, he also noted a lot of things damaged from previous work and recommended we find a new mechanic based on the damage he saw from previous work.I don t think Cordell s intentionally tried to push us into a new engine but there s a similar review to mine here with an Audi where they recommended an engine replacement only to take it to the dealer with a fix at the fraction of the cost. This maybe suggests there may not be the expertise in euro vehicles leading to issues like mine. Unfortunately for us, this cost us thousands of dollars in repairs and even more in loss of value when we sold the VW.

Monday I brought my car in and told them the problems, Tuesday they called me, I called them back and they said they would work on the estimate and get back to me. I hear nothing from them till Friday when I get a text asking if I wanted to pick up my car. Nothing was done and I was still charged 221.73 for them to look at the car. I told them after this experience I will not be back. Really bad communication, I would not go here.

Great experience with their staff and service getting new tires put on my SUV. They suggested a Toyo Celsius All Weather tire and they did great in the recent snow. Will continue to bring my car back.

So called locations like this are useless. Don t advertise service that you can t deliver. Shops are LaCross, WI are useless. Including this one. If you have battery needs. Avoid this shop

I told them that i needed a wheel bearing replaced in the front of my car and all they did was spent all day diagnosing my car telling me other problems and that they needed another day to get the wheel bearing and to fix it and wanted to charge me $606 for one wheel bearing. So i spent the whole day wasting my time for them to tell me what i already knew was wrong with my car I would fix it myself if i had the time and a warm place to do the work they were nice people and i appreciate the shuttle service but I will never take my car there again huge shout out to mark murphy and murphy frame and axle for giving me a courtsey vehicle and for the repair work for way less like more than $300 less

I had previously given this place a positive review, but after my last experience, I will never be returning. I don't know if they are crooks or incompetent, but either way, they lost my business. I had my car in a few months back due to a small coolant leak. They looked at it and came back saying I would need to replace the entire engine. They quoted me for over $10K. Obviously I was going to get a second opinion, so I called the dealership. They told me on the phone that this assessment was wrong, that this is just an issue that does not happen in these vehicles. I brought it to the dealership to diagnose, and they found it was the thermostat housing, and I was out the door with a bill around $1K, 10% of what Cordell's quoted. I drive an Audi, so I understand if the tech may just not be familiar with these cars, but I don't see how someone can quote a full engine replacement without knowing for sure that it is necessary to remedy the issue. Definitely will not be coming back even though it is the most convenient shop for me. I would rather drive to the other side of town, than ever let this company touch another one of my vehicles.

I have a classic car that was having issues. Cordell s went above & beyond to ensure everything was properly cleaned & repaired.
