My wife and I had a fantastic experience staying here. Below are our top 3 favorite parts of this hotel1. Location - unbeatable. Wake up and your on the slopes.2. Hot Tub - the place at a hot tub and a pool which was perfect after a long day on the slopes3. Kitchen - (almost) everything that you would need to meal prep was available inside of our hotel room. This helped us save some money while on vacation.Overall, the room was small, but it was clean, in a great location, and had everything that we needed to have a great vacation.I have a few recommendations for things that you should bring on your trip.1. A nice warm blanket. If you look at some of the other reviews, it can get quite cold on the mountain. Bring an extra blanket for chilling on the couch or to sleep with. You won't regret it.2. A cutting board. A fully equipped kitchen was awesome, but our room was missing a cutting board. Chopping up vegetables and meat proved to be a bit of a challenging task.Overall I rate this place 5 Stars, would stay here again.

I don t mind paying for a vacation, but I don t like getting nickel-and-dimed. We stayed at Allegheny Springs for four days and when I asked for more towels at the end of our third day, I was told it would be $25. If someone had even told us that fresh towels are extra when we checked in before we bundled all the towels on the floor to make things easy on the maid it wouldn t have been a big deal. Everything else was great, but that s just a ripoff.

We stay at the Allegheny every year. We nearly always have a two to three bedroom unit and everything is in good order. The staff are absolutely fantastic and while at times it can be tough to sleep because of the noise, it's just part of the ambience. Staying in the village makes it easy to get to classes or out on the slopes at 9:00 a.m., not to mention being close to the vast majority of the restaurants.Thank you Snowshoe staff for a wonderful 12 years and counting.

I believe that each unit is owned individually, but our unit was well kept, clean and with a view of the pool. Concierge service was excellent but some amenities like rollaway beds are not available. The location more than makes up for any lack there - you are right in the Village close to everything!! One note l if you are staying with young children - if there is music or another event that evening, you may have a difficult time getting to them to bed by 8:30. I think most bands stopped by 1030 so it was not an issue for us, and we enjoyed access to the live music!

I have ben coming to snowshoe for almost 8 years now and we have always stayed at allegheny, however this is my second 1 star review for the place. We had reserved a unit through snowshoe, with 2 bedrooms and a living room and kitchen, the bedrooms were 1 king and the other was a 2 queen bed room which we have stayed in before. However upon arriving we were in a unity with two bedrooms and only two beds per room. Now there are enough pull out couches to sleep everyone however it is very upsetting that the rooms you reserve don t match the description upon booking. The unit was also pretty dirty, and look like it was remodeled but not very well, the flooring uneven and squeaks loudly, the kitchen is super outdated, there is a lot of just undies looking painting, doors don t properly close, and if the price reflected all of this I would not be complaining but paying 2,000 dollar for a weekend and getting this quality from a snowshoe property is absolutely ridiculous! (see images and videos for a closer look)Also having young children and a lock out door has been a problem and we have already been locked out once. I hate to say it but we will no longer book through snowshoe and may not book at allegheny again. This is the second time our room has not matched the description or they have moved us to a completely separate hotel. Do Not Book Through Snowshoe!!!!! The price is not worth the stay!!!Rooms: DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH BEDS AS DESCRIBED!!

Update 2024 2 star. The prices continue to rise and more and more amenities are taken away or you're charged more for them. Have to take your own trash out and now you're no longer supplied extra towels for the hot tub and are charged extra for toilet paper! What the heck allegheny springs!? The whole place is due for a remodel and there are several stones broke loose around the pool and hot tubs making it easy to fall in. The elevators are sketchy and continually make a buzzing noise even when not in use. One elevator was shut down for the first part of our stay which made it a nightmare getting our stuff to our room. There are plenty of other things worth complaining about as well with the rooms and other things but really don't want to make this review longer than it already is.2018 5 star review: Nice place right on the slopes in the village. Within walking distance to everything. Has heated pool and hot tub. Rooms are always clean. We always try to stay at Allegheny any time we vacation at snowshoe.

This is not a hotel people, please understand that. ALL condos at the Shoe are owned by a homeowner whom choses to rent via VRBO, Snowshoe Rental Program, Air BnB, CasaGO Etc... Do not expect every room to be the same and unless you've booked via Snowshoe the front desk can do very little to assist you. They are Snowshoe employees. If there is an issue with your unit and you've booked via third party they can not nor should they be expected to help you. Please understand this when booking.

I spent four days and three nights at Allegheny Springs and absolutely loved it. It is located in the heart of the snowshoe Mountain Village with beautiful views in all directions. The staff is very helpful and check in was very easy the pool was beautiful and I felt very secure there. I was able to keep my mountain bike locked up in the ski locker room which was great. My room was fantastic I had a fireplace beautiful balcony for kitchen nice bathroom everything was very clean I highly recommend this and will be back.

We paid quite a good amount to stay at this hotel because I was hoping for a great experience. Our hotel lost heat when it was -16 out. I told the front desk, all he said was ok. Nothing about we are fixing it or any apologies. I asked for a blanket while I sat in the lobby next to the only fireplace for heat and he said let me see what I can do. And hour later I was still sitting there without a blanket. This staff could care less that people were freezing. The hotel did nothing to make this right. Spend less money on snow machines and more on maintenance and accommodations for your guest. I will never return.

I stayed at this resort on March 3 for a birthday/anniversary ski trip. One week later I receive a charge for $500 to my credit card from SS Lodging. I called the front desk and they said they could not tell me anything. I talked to a manager and they said they could not help me. I was transferred to home owner services who then told me they have no idea why I was transferred to them. They transferred me to guest services who had no idea why I was transferred to them. They then told me to call home owner services or supervisor of the resort. So I called supervisor and they said I had to talk to one very specific woman who is on vacation. Long story short, I was transferred multiple times, still no answers as to why I was charged $500, nor proof, a week after my stay. The place was nice, but unfortunately would not recommend it to anyone after this. I was there less than 24 hours and charged $500 with no proof of damage.

Went to a music festival on the Resort. The Resort itself was nice. Resort staff was amazing and helpful. Found it easy to get around, although I did not venture too far from Allegheny and Rimfire lodges.Rooms: Stayed in a one-bedroom villa. Perfect size for a three day stay. Great kitchen area for cooking meals in the room with a great amount of utensils & accessories. Balcony was nice to sit out on - great view (when it wasn't rainy or foggy!)

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here for our wedding anniversary. The first year was in 2018. We could tell then that the hotel was worn and needed an update. We had an issue with the hot water in our room that was not resolved until the next day. This year, we decided to try it again. We were on the 3rd floor over looking the pool area. The bedding was DISGUSTING. It was dirty, had literal dirt and stains on it, blood on one of the pillow cases and paint on the bed skirt. The kitchen was also dirty, hand prints and smudges everywhere. There was a handwritten note on the DVD player stating that it didn't work, lol. We had to have the pilot light on the fireplace relit twice while there as well. There was no one ever available at the valet to get your car. The night of our anniversary we went to the lobby 25 minutes before our reservation 5 minutes up the road and we got to the restaurant right at 6 bc we had to wait so long for someone to show up to get our car.The whole place needs on overhaul. Unfortunately, I can't say we will stay here again.

Rooms are very small. Stayed 3 nights. No-one refilled soap, coffee etc. Bathroom floor had not been cleaned----had a long black hair on floor--mine is dyed blonde--hubby's white!!?? Go figure! Never saw a cleaning person! We got locked out of our room because of a battery in system! Overpriced for the quality especially when one adds all the extra fees were in excess of $125. We did not use pool or any amenities! And the back entrance wrought iron gate closed on my husband's arm causing a skin break in his arm and profuse bleeding! Is very close to the lift and the village but most of the village was closed and we didn't do the lift either! We attended a wedding in Snowshoe.

The. rooms have paper thing walls and floors so you will hear every little step of every single person walking down the hall on the floor above. It only stopped around 1:00 am which is when we were able to sleep (this was al ALLEGHENY SPRINGS). Don't go to this awful resort. It's boring and terrible for families. Also the bed was very hard, like a rock. You will not be able to sleep unless you are able to fall asleep on a hard surface.

Loved the location and ski in/ski out options. The room was a bit small (which we expected) and the bed wasn't the most comfortable, but overall we had a very nice time. Heated pool and hot tubs we're a nice way to shake off the body aches.

Great location and the staff was friendly. However, the room was extremely dated; holes, stains and rips in carpet, The air conditioner didn't work and I reported it on Monday and when I left Thursday it still had not been serviced. The units we rented were 115 and 117 They rent as a two bedroom. The air in 115 worked some but would have to be turned off once a day to thaw out the outside unit. I attend a conference here every year. Over the past 5 years I have noticed more and more disrepair. This is not a hotel so do not expect a daily cleaning service. Unless you pay $10.00 a day parking expect a five minute walk from the free parking to your room. All restaurants on the mountain are fairly good food but a little pricey.

Decent spot although checkin was miserable. When I first got there my room wasnt ready (I was a bit early), but when I went back after the designated check-in time, i had to wait i line for 30 minutes. This is the 21st century, you'd think they would have an express check in.Otherwise, the hotel was clean and you cant beat the convenient location.

We had no hot water for past two days, power was off for 5 hours. And they take advantage of people like us, who were stuck here during winter storm and charge you double price! Extremely poor customer service. And yes ,if you want to rest after long day of skiing, avoid staying at first floor units. The traffic of people is insane here

Great location and the staff was friendly. However, the room was extremely dated; holes and rips in carpet; bath tub/sink, bathroom floor, coffee maker and tables were dirty. It took me over 3 hours to wash/dry laundry due to the dryers not functioning properly. The worst thing was the old bed/mattress, because of which I only had a total of a few hours of sleep for the night. I was also told that this was the only room available, which is hard to believe given that there is hardly anyone in the village. Very disappointed.

Great accommodations for the Snowshoe village. Rooms are not huge, but big enough. Convenient to the slopes and the village. One elevator was frequently broken, but was tolerable considering we were on the second floor. Hopefully they get it fixed for those on higher floors though. Bath tub drain plug did not work, which made baths difficult. Gas fireplace was nice.

We rented 2 suites and 1 standard room. The pull out sofa mattress in 441 was very thin and extremely uncomfortable. We stayed for 3 nights, but they require a 4 night stay in order to have trash removed from the room. I left a few items in a drawer, and it took 2 weeks to have housekeeping return my call after leaving multiple voicemails each day. When they finally sent me my things at my expense, as it was my fault, I was missing 2 items. The best thing about Allegheny Springs is the location.

We had visited Snowshoe years ago and stayed at a different condo near Allegheny Springs. From the moment I saw it those many years ago, blanketed in a fresh, white snow, I thought it was beautiful and knew that the next time I visited Snowshoe, I would stay at A.S. I can tell you I was not disappointed. From the stunning facade (especially covered in snow), to the inviting foyer I promise you, you won't be sorry that you chose A.S. for your vacation stay. Our condo was small but all we needed for our party size. It was updated nicely with lovely cabinetry and granite countertops. The master bed was comfortable and the view from our balcony was unmatched. The valet service was well worth $15 a day. The valets were kind, thrifty, and beyond accommodating. Each time they brought me our vehicle they would brush off the snow, start the heat in the seats, steering wheel, and in the vehicle. They de-iced my windshield one day because my wipers were frozen to the windshield. I did tip extra for that. It was the least I could do.Because A.S. is located in The Village, it is in very close walking proximity to nearly everything, but a short drive up or down the mountain will give you access to the rest of the amenities and attractions of Snowshoe. Finally, if you stay at A.S. be sure to check out Cheat Mountain Pizza located on the bottom floor of A.S.A word of "caution" Cheat Mtn is currently not filling take-out orders, so it's a dine-in only.

Great location for ski in/out and to do all the village has to offer. Clean well cared for rooms and properrty. Well priced. What we didn t like was hearing screaming kids in the pool from our fourth floor room at 10pm at night. Not that an idiot parent is the hotels fault but they didn t respond when they said they would quiet it down. A sound proof door could have resolved it as well. Not exactly a relaxing way to unwind with your wife after a full day on the slopes.

Allegheny Springs is a terrific place to stay at Snowshoe. Situated directly adjacent to the top of the main mountain, this hotel makes transitioning from skiing to relaxing very quick and accessible. The pizza restaurant in the basement, Cheat Mountain, serves excellent food, and is open until 11pm. The rooms are high quality and affordable, also with great views. And the hot tub and heated pool available for Allegheny guests makes this the place to be for all snowshoe vacationers. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time on the mountain.

After a long drive we were greeted by an amazing bell hop service who unloaded our car and brought everything to the room. One of few resorts at Snowshoe village with a 24-hour customer service front desk.We had the one bedroom with full kitchen (game changer to be able to cook your own meals, homemade, just bring your own groceries). Kitchen has everything! (Like pots, pans, wooden spoon, kettle, standard size refrigerator, stove, even stemware).Outdoor whirlpools and heated outdoor pool.We go to Snowshoe every year and by far this one is the best! It's so awesome that the front is often featured in pictures, making Snowshoe village look so charming. It's the one with the clock tower right in the center of the village and walking distance, with your ski boots on. We will definitely stay here again.
