Took my 2018 mini cooper in today and was extremely pleased! They went above and beyond to help me, and for that I owe them a HUGE THANK YOU!!! They are more than fair and the customer service was the best I've ever seen! They have picked up a new customer for sure, and I definitely recommend them!!! Wonderful business, and great peeps!!! Keep it up guys!!!

I had some bad luck today on my way home from picking up my niece, car started smoking pretty intensely after I had just got gas so I turn into the next place I saw and low and behold it happened to be Walt s point s. I immediately park and my niece and I head over to ask if someone could take a look. Got the issue resolved extremely fast, called in around town for a heater core inlet hose and bam, within an hour, maybe two, they had it done and fixed and ready to drive. I can t thank the team enough for being as attentive and fast as they were. Highly recommend going to Walt s point s in Yelm. If I have car troubles, first place I m going too!

Very over priced for the simple job of putting new tires on cost me $460 ish and it took them all day to do it I dropped my truck off at 8:30am and walked to work luckily had a coworker drive me to my house on my lunch at 12 and my truck was just sitting in the bay with half the tires done and didn t get a call telling me they were done until about 5:45. BTW i just had tires installed on my car for only $245 at les Schwab feel like they took advantage of me because of my age being 18 at the time (only pro imho is that they actually at least installed the new valve stems)

Walts Point S is amazing! I took my vehicle in today to get air in 1 of my tires and they found a nail in it! They took it out and patched it up free of charge! I am so grateful for them. Always so kind and eager to actually help you get back on the road safely!Thank you guys so much!!

My vehicle needed a rear axle replacement according to (firstone) they did not sound confident when explaining this. So, I decided I needed a 2nd opinion, I called Walt because it's close to home, and I try to help local businesses.The reviews seemed to check out.When I called, Vonn said they can change the rear axle, or simply do a alignment,but they have to put it on the lift first. I brought paperwork from firestone, it stated the rear axle needed to be replaced that alignment adjustments cannot be made. I was clear on letting her know. Turns out, firestone was right, she said, I do need a new rear axle, she said that she could not find or order that part according to her dealers/system. It's funny how employees will smile and be nice in the beginning, but when your a unsatisfied customer their attitude and faces change. They were not rude, but not happy and smiling anymore. They tried to charge 140 I ended up paying 72. Maybe rear axles just aren't their thing.For those reasons 1 star.

Called and asked for a quote they said they would get back to me but it s been two days and they still don t even have an answer. If that s how they treat their customers I would not take my business there and don t recommend it to anybody.

Love Walt s! Loyal customer for years. Always great customer service and with a smile. Yet again today, went in with a flat tire, they got me in right away. Not only fixed & changed my tire, they put the spare & everything associated with it back where it belongs- a little thing , but not everyone does that. They always make me feel welcome!! Never will I go anywhere else.

Best auto repair experience I ve ever had. I got a flat tire and didn t want to drive all the way to the Toyota Dealership on my spare. I m so glad I chose to get it done locally and support a local business. I called and explained and they said to come by anytime. I pulled up and they said it would be about ten minutes to get the tire patched and put back on. While waiting the staff was so friendly and just a really relaxed and nice environment. You don t get that everywhere now days. On top of the short and successful repair process and friendly staff they did it free of charge! It really turned my day around is definitely a place we will be returning to for any other car issues we have. If you are in the Yelm area or even if you re not Walt s is more than worth the trip. 1000% would recommend to anyone! Thank you Walt s Point!

We walked in about 4:15 pm on 8/9/22 place was kaotic with people and cars swarming everywhere. We were mostly greeted warmly. I explained to the lady that we had purchased our truck 3 months ago from NW chevrolete and they'd brought it to them to replace all the tires at time of sale and since Les Schwab was too busy, i decided to come to them. We asked if they had time to investigate why one of my trucks new tires (that THEY had installed just less then three montha ago) was going low on air; the lady had to check with I guess her boss and returned to tell me that they were closing up shop in about 5 minutes for a meeting but that I could come back tomarrow or another time. Ooookkkk... They wouldn't even give me an appt time for tire repair job. So we took our truck to Costco. They verified it was the Valve stem that was leaking pretty badly but they didnt have those type for that size vehicle. And advised us to take it back to who instslled it OR Les Schwab._ they informed us that IF they (Walts) had replaced the valve stems 3 months ago when tires were changed_like suppose to be done when changing tires; no way should the valve stems be leaking already!!! Obviously Walts didnt change out the valve stems when they did the tires! We called back to Walts two days later to refresh and ask about them replacing the valve stems finally. They informed us that we would have to pay $15//each for valve stems and that they do not offer any guarantee or warranty on there service or items sold onto vehicles. We were flabbergasted and actually stunned; we Even went as far as to ask them IF this is SO; then just WHY would I give you my business then??. They didn't even have an answer!!! Now we know why Les Schwab stays in business.Another note. These guys must NOT understand the correct placement of wheels on a dually vehicle because they placed BOTH valve stems for the rear wheels at the SAME spoke wheel point, which makes it extremly difficult if not impossible to correctly get to the valve stems for the dually rear wheels. (You are SUPPOSE to place the valve stems 180 degrees from each other.)

I took my car in to get an assesment done. I needed a new drivers side bearing and cv driveline. So we made arrangements for them to replace those parts. A few hours later they called me and said my car was done and to come get it. I came and paid my bill of 740.00 dollars. Half of that was for the new parts. But they never put new parts on my car. Charged me for them over 300.00 for new parts.

Last Tuesday was my first service since Walt and Sherri passed the baton to Jennifer and Gilbert......and as I have been accustomed to since moving to the area in the late 90s, customer service was on point from start to finish.I just sat in the waiting area working on my laptop while the team worked their magic.They had me back on the road win "no time" and the overall experience had me driving away with a smile on my face, while listening to some of my favorite music.Thank you!

I got a flat tire last week and had to change out to the donut. I got a hold of Jennifer at Walt's Point S and she was able to get me a whole new set of tires ordered and put on very quickly. The price was fair and I was treated like my time was valuable. 5/5 recommend Walt's for all of your tire needs.

Highly recommend Walt's for your oil change and tire needs. Every customer is greeted cheerfully and genuinely. The customer service goes above and beyond and the work is reliable. Communication is great throughout the whole process and they crew listens to your concerns and does their best to find the right solution.

I have lived and worked in Yelm for over 30 Years and Walt's has been steadfast in service and quality of workmanship as a local business owner I know what it takes to be consistent over time & have witness Walt's tire evolve to Walt's S Point the family owned business and now it's transition to the next generation. I read previous posts and they are so accurate. I went to Walts for a tractor wheel repair. This after false claims by others in effort to sell new tires or rims. Their answer was sure we can and they did

The staff there was amazing they got me in-and-out of there got an oil change even though there was super swamp done busy we're able to get me. In-and-out of there with under an hour very nice great price we'll be going back to them again.

We have taken all our vehicles to Walt's for many years and will continue to as long as we live in the area. The staff are always friendly and most important, trustworthy. UPDATE - My prior review stands, even with new ownership (still in the family) I will continue to take my vehicles to Walt's Point S for my vehicle maintenance. 11/7/22-Still no complaints, will keep allowing Walt's to handle all my vehicle maintenance needs.

Exceptional service! Took my Econoline Van in because it wasn't starting. The next day they called at gave me an update saying they couldn't fix it because it was beyond what they do. So they recommended another place with great reviews. I went to pick up the Van today and it started perfectly. I drove it home and it shifted better than ever. I was expecting to pick it up and have to have Triple AAA pick it up. Nope! Plus they didn't charge me anything. THEY HAVE MY BUSINESS AND FAMILIES BIZ FOR LIFE. This is how you do business. I'll be back in soon to get new tires! Thanks!

I am at a loss for words theses guys are super nice and friendly! Zac the alignment specialist helped me today and he was great! He explained everything to me and was very considerate. My car has been acting up and he helped me with my car. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone! I would come here all the time if I didn t go to school over the pass.

I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years. Walt's style of business is about the customer and the development of a friendship. Walt's style of business is about integrity and honest work. Walt's crew is amazing and always professional in their job. If they cannot fix it, or know of another business that may be able to do a better job, they make that information available. Walt' staff has always taken care of me when I needed a ride home due to the time needed to take care of my car. Walt's is what all businesses should be like. Honest, friendly, and the sincere desire to take care of the community. You will be very happy you chose Walt's over a big box style business.

Love to support local businesses because I own one myself but I brought in my wheels and old tires to have my new tires (which I purchased elsewhere) installed and I was quoted $350 which I thought was absurd. Unfortunately I was forced to go to Schwab, a job they did promptly for $125 less.

I recently got into an accident and after searching I found Walt's came highly recommended. I took my car in and explained what I needed the lady at the desk tried sending me to another shop but the gentleman there I believe he might have been the owner knew what I wanted and needed done to my car. He explained everything and immediately got to work on it for me. Maybe an hour later they called me with an update on my car and had it completely done in two hours. When I picked up my car the gentleman thanked me for bringing my car in. I was blown away and felt like they really cared about the customer. I'll be taking my vehicles here from now on for tire and other needs from now on.Daniel

I recently moved to Washington so I had no clue what mechanics were trustworthy and reliable, after searching around I saw that Walt s had a good reputation so I called them to let them know I would like to have my car towed there and explained the issues. Every time I called in the men were extremely nice on the phone and told me exactly where to leave my car and my keys. The day after I dropped it off they called to explain what they thought and I had them keep it over night to check it tomorrow since it had broke down on me twice prior. They called me the following day and explained again what they think the issue could be and asked what I would like to do in regards of having it fixed. I appreciate that they always called me prior to doing any work so I could give them the okay, they then called me when it was finished and gave me a run down of what they did and how much it cost which was extremely price friendly! The work and customer service was exceptional and they had it done within 2 days! Would have been one if I didn t ask to leave it over night but it was such fast and great service. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area, especially military who are new here and don t know where to go like I was! I ll definitely return in the future if I have any future car issues and thanks again for the amazing service!
