Yelm Auto Center is really incompetent. Both with customer service and ability to get you in and out within a reasonable period of time. Even if you show up right when they open at 7am, it still takes over 2 hours to complete a simple rotate and balance of your tires. I drove all the way from Olympia at 5 pm rush hour traffic once only to have them tell me they had no time to do it, and yet they weren't closing until 7pm.

Took almost 2 hours to put on four tires. I was the only car in the shop first thing in the morning and it was the only one in there for the first 20 minutes. Finally asked how long it was going to be and was told 10 minutes. 30 minutes later after that it was finally finished. 2 hours to put on four tires in a shop that wasn't even that busy?!

Went to swap summer tires for winter tires, they broke the bead on 1 summer tire when removing. Techs stated they were unaware I wanted to keep the tires and weren't careful when unmounting the summer tires. Techs stated communication between people at register and what techs in shop get is often poor. Asked how to fix the situation, service manager (Robert) actually made it seem like it was my fault for expecting them to not mess up. This was a 31/10.5r15 on a 15x8 wheel for reference. A simple "sorry" would have sufficed and would have liked something along the lines of "take a cheap Chinese AT tire the same size, we will write it off" or "let me refund you the $100 you just spend for mount/balance since we messed up" or "have a free oil change". The techs are all nice/polite people and have never had any issues previously. I believe each of the techs I spoke with today to be more competent than the service manager (Robert).Service: Tires

Brought truck in, and since I just bought the truck, I made sure they checked the battery and all that so I would know if it needed to be replaced. They assured me they checked all this stuff with any lube service. When done and paid, I realized the report said battery good and all lights and break lights good. Which is strange since I knew the back break light, blinker, and reverse light was out. I went back in to see if they actually checked the battery because they clearly lied about checking the light. They said 2 out of 3 times the battery tested good but unsure because their battery tester is not working that good. Why offer that service if you can't be sure and how am I supposed to trust that the oil change was done when they lied about the other services. Makes me question the integrity of this business.

I understand that it takes very little to no skill at all to work at Walmart. But come one people.....I brought my own tires in for a simple mount and dismount. Should take about an hour. As I sat waiting for an hour and half (no big deal), I saw several customers come to the counter and stand there for 10-15 minutes and nobody bothered to come to the counter. I even called the Tire Center desk in hopes of getting someone to come to the desk and nope. Eventually all customers left. Finally when an employee (John) came to the desk it appeared that he had no clue of what he was doing. Fumbling around and couldn't stick with 1 customer. Kept going back and forth. I truly do not understand how people can have ZERO training to do such a unskilled job.Service: Tires

I came in with a tire puncture. They were able to find it and told me it was too close to the side wall and they could not patch it. They had the tire size I needed and got it done in a timely manner. But more than that. These fine people came into work on new years day. On really cramps road conditions. They had a lot of customers since everyone else that does tires was closed. Well done Walmart auto center and well done to all the staff that works there

Not impressed with this team. We just wanted to purchase two tires (without warranty). The large corporate weight seems to be heavy, killing individual motivation to get after answers for customers standing at the desk. Scheduling and material available was not clear and took an extra 30 min to talk to management in order to determine level of service.

Just called the Yelm tire center, both people I talked to were very friendly, and the man I talked to was very knowledgeable, letting me know exactly what was needed for my 1 ton dually truck with a heavy camper, when to come in, how long it would take. Can't wait to find out how the job goes.Services: Tires, Auto tire replacementServices: Tires, Auto tire replacement

One of the absolute worst experiences I ve had with tire service. Bought a set of cooper at2s with a road hazard warranty. The tires are no longer carried by Walmart they only carry at3s. After a long talk with management finally got the upgrade at a heavy mark up. Made multiple trips in to see if the tire had came in yet because no one answers the phones. Came in this morning to find out the tire had been here for days but never checked in. Now at two hours waiting on one tire to be replaced with only a few cars in front of me.Service: Tires

Super rude. Had a roadside emergency.. someone had a box of some sort, fall out of there car in the middle of the road . It ended up taking a huge chunk out of my tire. Threads were showing and it went even deeper. It had already expanded on my trip to Walmart. Mind you google says there store is open till seven. I show up limping at 6:35. I'm meet with sorry we are not open. There are people standing out there, people behind me at the counter. And she says, "well im just not taking any new customers.""So your closed""Well no, I'm just not taking customers"Maybe it was how I looked or klmaybe it's cause she is too lazy to squeeze in my car and have them put on a tire so I don't cause an accident on the way out of here and all because she wanted to get home and watch the Friends citcom reunion show. Good0 selection Wal Mart. I'm sure that's in the hand book. I felt worthless as a customer but no care and concern for another human. This is why I believe you deserve 1 star

I ve been getting my oil changed here for a while without issue. Needed new tires on my Honda van, they were offering a lower price on a better quality tire so I went there. After spending 1.5 hours in the store I find out they never did the tires because they didn t have a key for my lug nuts. I had to leave and have the locking nuts removed and come back. They then didn t have replacement non locking lug nuts, so I had to go buy replacements at a parts store. The best part is when they gave me my van back they broke my power sliding drivers seat. Snapped a bracket clean in half!!!! As I pulled out my seat started moving around dangerously on acceleration and deceleration. I had to pull over in the snow and figure out what was wrong. Honda is quoting me $500 in PARTS ALONE. Labor will be hundreds more. The manager didn t accept any blame, was very flippant about it and told me to just pay for it all at Honda and give her a reciept and she d send it into their claims company. I should have paid the extra few hundred for tires elsewhere and saved myself a huge repair on my seat.

Horrible experience. Quoted us a 5 to 7 hour wait on our truck and the lady (Beth) behind the counter was lieing to a customer about tires (we know so because my husband owns a tire shop). So we left, drove by later and decided to have our 2013 Hyundai Sonotas oil changed because they were dead. They did it, but we got out to the car and our battery was dead. The test strip we found on the floor of our vehicle said it needed to be replaced. No one told us it needed a new battery while we were paying or that they even left a test strip. Disappointed and will not be back. The lack of customer service, I called before and they were rude on the phone telling me to get there as soon as possible and that an oil change would take 30 to 45 minutes and they wouldn't be open late even though our oil change only took 20. when we asked for help concerning our dead battery they said they were closed (it was 6:54... they close at 7). Thankfully someone did come jump us. But, what the heck.

I've brought in various vehicles to the Yelm Auto Care Center and have yet to be disappointed. Everyone warned me not to bring my vehicles to Walmart because "you can be the first person in line and still have to wait 4 hours!" But that has never happened to me, regardless of if I am first in line or not.The people working the counter have always been friendly and are happy to answer my questions. The prices are also very good.My most recent purchase was a set of tires from them. The whole process took about 45 minutes.

Good price, but they rolled down my back windows of my car for no known reason, left them down unattended and acted like it was no big deal to leave my unlocked (yes unlocked - they didn't even lock my car back up) vehicle with everything exposed! I will not return!

Called at 6:45pm to confirm their tire center was open, and was told they would be open until 8pm. We drove from Olympia in Friday night traffic, and arrived by 7:40pm. We pulled up and all the doors were locked but we managed to get a guy's attention. When he finally came out, he told us they weren't open. His explanation was that because they had not had any business for the last 4 hours, they were closing early. We only wanted to buy a single tire, a fairly quick transaction, but the guy told us sorry, come back tomorrow, we open at 9. Seriously? I just drove an hour through crummy yelm traffic (after calling & confirming they would be open) only to be told nah, we don't feel like doing that right now, try again tomorrow. No thanks, I'll make a longer drive and go somewhere else. Very, very disappointed in the way this store communicates with customers.

Came in to get a tire patched. Unfortunately it didn't have enough tread left on it to be safely patched. They showed me the tire and it was indeed toast. They slapped on four new tires and I was on my way.Very happy with the service! Second time I've bought tires from here.

Went to Walmart the other day for an oil change got home and found this oil on my drive. The automotive guy said that the oil filter had blown oil all over the frame and that the system was fine. Didn't say nothing to me but pointed out on the receipt that the oil had spilled. If it spills on the frame you clean the frame. Don't just let the customer take off with a mess. Clean your mess and make the car that same as when you received it.

First come first serve. Had some tires mounted and balanced. Prices weren't much/ if any cheaper than anywhere else and they don't offer alignments. So I had to go to a different tire shop anyways

They always manage to make a simple job hard. They have messed up my honda from a bad oil change destroying my engine and now just replacing a popped tire they took one of my good tires. These people are scum do not trust them with your car.

Wal-Mart has a reputation of being inexpensive, relatively cheap products and quality. Wal-Marts service center does not meet that reputation. They are inexpensive, but the several times I have gone there, they are surprisingly thorough. My mother had to actually go there to resolve an issue that occurred at a "professional" auto repair shop, something that the Wal-Mart tech was able to fix the problem. Sure wish I could remember his name. All I remember is he calls push pin rivets, "Christmas trees". Guy needs recognition for his above average willingness to assist customers.

Completely horrible service. They will have you driving out from wherever you're from and then tell you that they dont have time for you... Even though you called to make sure. It's horrible and then they try to make jokes with you, its sickening.

They are closed now because of being short staffed? They closed when the pandemic started? Just shows Walmart doesn't care about certain departments! Alot of people in this community rely on getting oil services there for affordable prices and now can't yet again!

Good prices for an oil change, pretty quick depending on how busy they are. My only complaint was they didn t reset my oil percentage which took a couple seconds but not the end of the world
