Edit: Chris is a new owner!!!! Working on fixing the problem and helping with what he can. I will update after I get my car back. Never in my life have I had a worse experience than this place. My car was slipping gears with no check engine light. They determined it was the transmission after initially being told nothing was wrong because no lights were on. I had the transmission replaced after three months of it being in the shop to pick it up with the exact same problem. John stated he could not figure out the issue and would have a specialist take a look. Told us once again it was fixed and ready to go. We picked it up a third time same problem. After four months we find another place to take it in. Upon pick up the car was smoking so bad we could hardly see around us, the car had trouble starting and felt like it would shut off at any moment. I explained to John I had a newborn and what was I supposed to do. He response was "not my fault they sent us a bad part". It was the EXACT same problem since day one now with much more problems and he was blaming the new parts. Worst professionalism I've ever come across. Just kept going back to blaming the new parts. If I could give them less stars I would. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! Take money from people to do more damage.

Couple months ago when I sent them my transmission for a tear down it was 280. No worries but when they did the diagnosis they told me I needed a complete rebuild costing 4,000 dollars, but I rebuilt it for 700. Almost all of the parts they said were ruined weren t bad, I mean it runs fine now, they pushed me to basically get a new one though them instead of buying one myself and putting it in for way cheaper. Then when I had a family member pick up my parts in boxes they kept my torque converter for 2 weeks! My fault for not checking but when we called they said we were in their call back list and must have slipped through or fingers . How do you forget that or misplace it, and be rude when youre called out on it, then black list out number for trying to call you while im putting it back together and im missing parts that they took apart . Please don t take your vehicle or transmission there unless its changed.

I figured, John and the techs at the Francis road Aamco had a challenge in front of them when I brought them my high mileage vehicle that had transmission problems, but they fixed it right up. And at a great price! I'd highly recommend them. Thx guys

I've got to say this great man knows his stuff. If ever you need transmission work done this is the place to check out..I know it's hard to entrust the lives of your family with strangers, at least for me it is. However they do great work here. Not just transmissions but other stuff to.. You ever hear the saying I KNOW A GUY.. This is the guy. Check this place out if ever in need. Honest, hard working, priced fair more important they have pride in the work they do.. They know thier work is important. Thank you to the hard workers at Aamco.

John at Aamco was great to deal with! They did the transmission in my older 2500 Silverado and it has never run so good! He helped me obtain the financing I needed to do the job now rather than having to wait. I will definitely be recommending this shop, and using it again!!

They love to waste your time, I took my car in for a second opinion as I had hit a deer back in June and thought that was the issue. John called an said he didn t think it was from hitting the deer, he claimed it was from lack of maintence.. ok fine so I told him I would come pick it up as I didn t have insurance coverage for that. Conviently he mentioned he had other parts cheaper he could use I said no I am on social security I can t afford to fix it so I will come pick it up. His exact words were no leave it here let me see if I can get this covered for you my insurance calls me today and John had told them the oil was pitch black, leaking etc etc and he didn t think it was from hitting the deer so why waste my time when I flat out said I would pick it up last week?? Then he makes a smart comment of I can t lie to them nobody asked you to EVER lie to them John, clearly you re looking for brownie points so insurances will use your shop. I never once asked or expected him to lie to them that s why I said I would come pick it up a week ago when he claimed it wasn t from hitting the deer. I cannot in good faith recommend them. If he knew it wasn t from hitting the deer then why did he tell me to leave it there last week when he was told my insurance doesn t cover maintence. I could have just picked it up when I said I would and saved the claim on my insurance. Thanks John.

I should have came here first!!! These guys fixed my car problem in just a couple of hours! Honest and reasonably priced! Really great customer service from John. I had been trying to get my AC fan fixed for over a month. I was getting the run around with the other auto shops I went to. I brought it to AAMCO and they had it fixed with no problem!!! I took my 04 Silverado here to get the diagnosis on my transmission problem and John Hedger the manager and his team gave me an all around diagnosis not only on the transmission but other sensors that were bad on the motor. Needless to say they fixed the whole truck at an affordable price while maintaining the utmost professionalism when ever I called to check on the progress and updates on the new transmission. John was so good to work with and I would recommend his shop to anyone. I have been driving my truck long distance for work the past couple days before this review and it runs and drives like new. Kuddos to his awesome crew. If you re reading this review, I hope it makes up your mind to not pass up on this good all around vehicle service center. They don t just do transmissions. Brought my truck in for a scheduled appointment for one issue and they addressed all of the other issues as well. They completed the maintenance and gave me a price I couldn t say no to! I ll use this shop before any other when I need my vehicles worked on.1988 Ford Ranger

I have taken different cars in for repair and they always do a great job and stand by their work! I have been told I needed a complete transmission and they diagnosed the problem and fixed it, ps it can still be an expensive repair but not the transmission but still good to get the correct diagnosis and repair. 10 years ago i would have most likely done this job my self but with the limited movement i have now a shop was needed. They got me a appointment just a few days out and did a full safety check while i was there. They found the same things i did but made me feel much better about the other items. Work was done with good parts in a timely manor and for a fair price. I will be going back for other services.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Really good experience. ETA was off by a bit due to shipping issues but John was great and the price was comparable to other local shops but this transmission replacement came with a nationwide 3 year transferable warranty. Happy with my experience here on my son's 2005 Dodge Durango.

Great experience. Arrived to the area, not knowing a soul, and within 4 hours my car broke down! John was amazing. He gave me car drop off instructions and information, including rental locations. I sent my 2001 dually, 1 ton in because I had been having some issues while towing my horse trailer. The tech took it out 3 times and couldn't make it misbehave. It wasn't running any codes. I had been told by a different mechanic that my fluids all needed to be replaced, they said they were fine, and that I don't need to spend the $$! AAMCO is top notch in customer service. My experience is a little different, as they were not able to fix my car and stay in my budget, but they kept me updated every step of the way, and I always felt like they wanted what was best for me, not what would make them the most money. Took my vehicle in for a tune up; made the reservation online. I received a phone call the same day to confirm the appointment and to notify me of the timing.I was always kept informed of progress, price, and was given estimates for future work. Took my suv in to have the transmission looked at, they took a look and it turned out to be low on transmission fluid, they topped it off for me and charged me their normal diagnostic fee. My Honda 2002 just gave up and we knew we needed a transmission. Of course we wanted a good warranty and good price so we had to go to Spokane to get it since our little town did not offer this great deal. John Hedger CS Manager helped us with all the questions we had and gave us a great deal on job and warranty! John is knowledgeable and his CS was refreshing. When I went for a transmission flush, I knew I had other issues. I came back to a new dash light only to be told it would go off, it was from the car being in the air. Then cruise control wouldn't work. When I called to see all to someone, I was berated by the man who answered the phone and told that they didn't do anything wrong, that there was already stuff wrong. I know what's wrong with my car. That wasn't it. Cruise control not working, since I took it in. Worked fine before. So mad and discouraged, don't even want to deal with them. Do not go hereService: Transmission

If I could give a 10 start I would...! i have a family mechanic who had plugged his scan tool into the vehicle but was not able to find the problem. So We took my 2017 car with 44k miles on it to multiple mechanics for shifting problems. after 2 months of just fighting to get appointments with a mechanic, the first one (mechanics pride) did and charged us 200 for a trany fluid flush and the other mechanic(ulricks somthing..) used the same scan tool as my mechanic and a test drive, and got the same awsners as my mechanic...nothing. so they decided to guess a diagnosis...! quoting us 2k and if that guess didn't work, then quoted us 4k for just a whole new transmission.... ! Relizing it was obvious no one was capable of diagnosing the trouble we began calling around for quotes on new /rebuilt transmissions. Well John at ammco quoted us for one but was not willing to go straight to that without diagnosing the problem first. We explain to him what we went through and john explained to us how they ACCTUALLY diagnose the problem. Satisfied to finally have found a mechanic who knew what they were doing he said we could bring it in whenever convient for us. John remeberd us and gave us a couple days for him to work with it. Well the very next day, not even 24hrs after we dropped of the car we received a call with a diagnosis and we picked it up that same day! We had a crack in the cover that mechanic pride should have seen when they did the "flush" and all it needed was a simple.... FLUSH! A flush we just paid 200 for at the last mechanic!... turned out they only drained and filled it... saved us thousands of dollars and if the problem is still happening any money we already spent is taken off the bill for continued work if that is needed! I'm shocked the extent of the scamming and living to people that mechanics have built their careers around... and ammco treated me like a acctualy person.. not like a dumb girl, and truly knows what they are doing! It sounds just like the commercials but its true! I will never take my car to a nether mechanic again besides ammco!Service: Transmission
