This place is AMAZING! My co-worker recommended them to me with raving reviews. I decided to give them a shot when I first moved to the area. Needless to say, I've been going to them ever since. I have a 2004 Honda Accord that has needed upkeep in service over the years. (New breaks, oil changes, etc.) If I have any questions about my car I call them for advice. Jerry and crew are not only honest mechanics, they know what they are doing and don't try to upsell you. I originally found it difficult to find a good mechanic that I could trust in the city. Not anymore. I highly recommend them. :)

Crown Hill Automotive has provided excellent service when my Honda CRV suddenly wouldn't start. They replaced my starter relay quickly and efficiently which saved me time and money.Later when my catalytic converter was stolen they were of course the first place that I called. Again they provided great service and were very helpful with the navigation of an insurance claim and getting my car taken care of quickly.I have found everyone there to be very professional, helpful and fair. Crown Hill Automotive has become my go to place for auto maintenance and repairs.

Great service, brakes were in desperate need of replacing they set me up with an appointment within a few days of when I called. Service took a few hours while I worked at a coffee shop nearby and brakes feel great now out on the road. Did both my front and rear brakes over the course of two appointments a couple months apart. Brakes are always a spendy fix, but Crown Hill is super affordable and they did both my brake pads and rotors so everything is braking smoothly now!Service: Auto brake repair

Jerry and his team did exactly what they said they would do to my vehicle, on the promised schedule. Even though I added an item or two to the list of repairs, it was done very quickly and professionally. I will definitely be back.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repairServices: Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair

I took my car for routine maintenance and inspection. Scheduling it with the guy at the desk was polite and smooth enough - I dropped by on a Thursday, he said to fill out a form and that they could take in on Tuesday, and my fiance dropped it off on Tuesday morning (I was out of town then). My fiance got a call from them saying that the alternator needed to be replaced and the total cost would be north of $1000. This didn't make much sense since alternators usually don't need to be replaced until a car has seen at least 150,000 miles, my car was at 65,000 miles, and we didn't report any problems with it. To their credit, when I called them back about this, the person at the phone double checked and confirmed the alternator was working alright and didn't need to be replaced but the battery (the original, 10 year old one - what a trooper!) did need to be replaced. They offered to replace the battery while they had the car, but I didn't trust their work at this point and declined. The inspection, oil change, and battery test ran me a little over $200.When my fiance went to pick it up, she discovered the battery had run out (again, we have not experienced nor reported any problems with the battery so far) and needed to be jumped. At best, the experience indicated incompetence (though the other findings of the inspection like the tire wear, the brake wear, and the surface rust were accurate). Thankfully, I knew enough to avoid an unnecessary $1000 repair. I'll probably look elsewhere next time I need maintenance done. (I replaced the battery myself 2 weeks later).Jerry (the owner), this is probably not what you were looking for when you asked for my review, but I wanted to be honest about my experience and reaction.

I blew a tire right outside their shop. Jerry and Todd were so helpful in getting me back on the road after this unplanned snafu. Kindness goes a long way and I will be using their services again. Also, have you seen some of the beautiful MGs they work on? It was a delight to accidentally end up in their shop.

We really appreciated working with Jerry and his team at Crown Hill Automotive. They are a pretty unique shop with an amazing staff - everyone is highly technical and very friendly. I had them do a complete brake overhaul on a Jeep Renegade. They were able to fit us in timely and educated us throughout the process. I've been back to visit since for another very small tire issue and, again, they went out of their way to get us in quickly and resolve the issue. I plan to use them for routine oil changes and their 30-point inspection in the future. Thanks again for a fabulous experience!Services: Tires, Brakes

Crown Hill is always awesome professional and straightforward. I had a problem with my last truck and my original mechanic couldn t figure it out. After three time of taking it to the other guy I finally took it to the guys at Crown Hill auto. They fixed my engine issue first time and I never had a problem with the truck again. That was over 6 years ago, I still go there with any issue or maintenance. Flat out the best mechanics in Seattle.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Brakes, Oil change

I took my beast of a car into these guys knowing it was going to be a tricky fixer upper because the previous mechanic had done less than favorable "repairs" on it previously. My schedule was difficult to work around, but they were able to accommodate to fit me in regardless, which was extremely helpful. They were also really amazing communicating everything that they were able to find, giving an estimate, and quickly ordering the parts to repair it after I gave consent to go through with the them! My car was in and out in just a little over a week and I didn't even realize how bad the damage was before I drove it again after they fixed everything on it. Fantastic work overall, and I couldn't be happier with the friendly and speedy service. Prices are extremely fair, and the customer service is incredible! I can't thank you guys enough for all the hard work! Definitely acquired a new loyal customer!Services: Transmission, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Oil change

A different incompetent mechanic made a silly mistake with my air filter system and Crown Hill quickly identified and fixed the problem. I also had a squeaking wheel that really sounded like a brake problem but turned out to just be the hub cap. The diagnostic costs $130/hr which seems pretty high to me, especially for simple problems like mine. But at least they are competent and careful, unlike the first guys I went to.Overall, the guys here can look intimidating and be a little gruff but they are friendly when they get warmed upServices: Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto engine diagnostic

I welcome this opportunity to praise and recommend the service provided by Crown Hill British Automotive. They (and in particular Jerry , the owner , and Andy, the principal mechanic) have expertise and many years of experience with cars like mine, a 20 year old Jaguar which for over 8 years now they have regularly serviced and whenever necessary repaired to keep it in prime condition and running as well as it did when new -- and that was very well indeed. Also, they are friendly and prompt and they furnish free loaner cars when needed.

I had taken my 89 Cadillac to the dealership for an oil leak repair and, within 2 hours diagnosis, they wanted $3000 to fix it. Ya, no. I ve heard good things about crown hill automotive from a friend who has a 1952 MG so I went there. They found exactly where the leak was and were very clear about exactly what I needed at less than half the cost. I love my old cars and want to keep them alive. These guys have the most cool array of cars at their shop and really know what they re doing. After my appointment I drove from seattle to Reno and back without any issues. Thank you Crown Hill Automotive! I will definitely be back.Services: Engine repair, Oil change

Everyone who works here is a car fanatic I often see older restored show quality cars here so you know they are trustworthy and know what they are doing! My family has been taking our cars here for years. They work on all makes and models, foreign and domestic. They are very friendly family guys. Another perk is if they need to keep your car overnight they will give you a loaner car which is very convenient.

Guys did pretty well. Had a front end alignment on my van. Only three stars as they crashed my roof vent on the overhead door, and didn't get the steering wheel straight. The shims were put on the wrong side of the convex spacer, but that was easy to fix.

I've taken my classic Chevy truck to Crown Hill twice now. Both times I received excellent service and got my truck back in perfect working order. I would strongly recommend Crown Hill if you have a classic or collector vehicle and you're looking for a shop that really knows their stuff.

They were professional and courteous. Charged me what they said they would charge, showed me the results of my alignment and gave me a copy of the report. They also got the job done in the time they promised. It was my birthday weekend and I was going to the Oregon Coast directly after the service was performed. It worked out great and I am happy!

I'm fairly happy with the work I had done. Before having them work on my vehicle I regularly walked by the shop while doing errands and always saw them working on many classic cars. I have an old Jeep CJ7 and my previous go to shop, "The Shop" in Ballard wouldn't work on it so I figured I give Crown Hill a try. It hadn't run for four years and thirty minutes after having it towed to them they had it going. I can't say they're perfect but my Jeep had such an extensive list of problems to fix that I never expected them to iron everything out my first visit. Although I had to initially schedule an appointment two weeks out, since then when a minor issue pops up, they tell me to bring it by whenever and they quickly take care of it. All in all I'd recommend them to everyone with a classic car.

I have trusted Crown Hill Automotive with my 04 Jag for almost a decade. Now that I have moved out of the area, I am continuing to bring my car to them because I know they will take really good care of it for me. Jerry, Todd and Ray are part of my cars family. They took care of my Jag even before I bought it so they know the soul of my Jag. There is no one else I can trust with my car but Crown Hill Auromotive.

I've dealt with Jerry and Crown Hill for many years. All types of vehicles from 60's classics to late model BMW's and have always been satisfied. It's hard to find people in any business you can trust, but Crown Hill is first rate. You won't do better.

I have been going to Crown Hill for over a decade. Not only are the folks at Crown Hill just nice to chat with, they're deadly serious about cars--all cars. I am **almost** glad to give them my money as it is a great exchange of service and value for my hard-earned cash.

I have a 1973 Jensen Healey sports car, which I have had since 1983, so 34 years now. When the time came to restore my baby I brought it to Crown Hill and asked them to not only restore it but to rebuild it as a totally custom car. They did a terrific job. My car has a custom engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, dash, instruments, body work, paint, electrical system, wheels, etc. This is a completely custom car with a lot of little details that Jerry and his crew had to build from scratch. Anything that Jerry and his crew did not build themselves they referred me to first class contractors and suppliers for things like paint, upholstery, convertible top, etc. I am ecstatic with the car. Seriously, I could afford a Ferrari and my wife can't understand why I love this car so much, but I do and it is thanks to Jerry and Crown Hill. Very knowledgeable and great people to work with. My intention was to build a combination street/track day car and I can't wait to take it down to Pacific Raceways and wring it out.

I have been an extremely happy patron of Crown Hill Automotive for over ten years. I have appreciated Jerry and team's knowledge, skills, really quick turn arounds, creative solutions to fixes, concern about cost (and checking before all work is done), great customer relations and just general all around good business practices. I drive a classic 1996 Vanden Plas "JagNoir". It's my sentimental ride and I appreciate that Jerry and his team take great care of the car and me. Thank you! I highly recommend this local business.Service: Oil change
