Working with Mason was such an enjoyable experience. It was my first time buying a car on my own so he knew I was nervous and could relate to how I felt since he said he had an awful experience with his first time buying a car. He made sure that my experience wasn t like that, and he delivered. He made sure to be transparent about all the numbers with the breakdowns and total cost of everything when it came to negotiation. He met me at a number that I was comfortable with and had idealized in order to purchase the car - and I got a killer deal! It was so refreshing to have a car salesman be so real and relatable in the experience and not feel like they re simply pushing you to buy something, even though I know it s their job to do so. He stayed 3 hours past the dealership hours, along with other staff, in order to make sure that I could ride home with the car that night, even though I didn t pay until the next day! All the other staff was super nice and accommodating as well, and it just felt like a nice environment to be in. Everyone there makes you feel welcome and are very willing to help. I m so glad that I purchased my car from this particular dealership and that I will be getting all my service done here because everyone is great. I would definitely recommend my friends or anyone to see Mason if you decide to buy a Subaru.

I ve purchased three Subarus from this dealership over the last 10 years and sold one as a trade in. This dealership (from sales to service) is top notch. They are family owned and you can tell. No creepy aggressive sales tactics or inflated prices. I bought my first Subaru here as a single woman and never once felt taken advantage of. It s the reason why I ve returned and bought two more and why I always have my cars serviced here. They are very responsive and easy to get ahold of whether you prefer calls or texts. And they also have a service portal now where you can track your car in live time as it s being worked on. I seriously don t have one negative thing to say about this dealership!

I am impressed with this place. First of all, the service department is amazingly professional. I worked with Will on my old outback, which, unfortunately needed a new engine that cost more than the car was worth. But Will in the service department was patient and gave great advice, even giving me a loaner car for a week.I also chose to purchase a vehicle here, and we worked with Mason, who also just went above and beyond to be helpful. Mason kept in contact via text, but was never pushy. He was helpful, kind, and we re very happy with the car we ended up purchasing.Huge, thanks to Mason and Will!

I ve had SUCH a positive experience getting a new Crosstrek from Carter Ballard Subaru. Craig S has gone above and beyond to help me get the exact car I want, and he even helped me out after the sale when I got a scratch on the side. I am so happy to have chosen Carter to get my new car and look forward to getting all regular maintenance done thru them as well. 10/10 would recommend.

Ask for Mason! When our 2010 forester was having issues we knew to go right back to where we bought it 14 years ago, Carter Subaru of Ballard! Mason was awesome to work with, and within just a couple days he set us up with a 2-year old sweet Outback Onyx! This car is a serious upgrade from our last Carter car, full of great features, and a 3,500 towing capacity for all our outdoor excursions! And they did a really nice job on the detailing, looked brand new! Thanks Mason!

I had a really positive experience buying my car at Carter Ballard. I was actually referred to Steven M. by two friends; he was super easygoing and transparent about pricing during the sale. I didn't feel manipulated or mistreated, which went a long way for me. I also got to work with Craig S. on the salesfloor. He was super nice, taught me a ton about the car, and was full of useful tips and tricks. Finally, I met with Matt S. in financing and I have to say, he made an often difficult process so much better than I was expecting. He was warm and welcoming and I could tell he really wanted me to leave feeling I got the deal that best suited my needs. I would absolutely recommend these three guys at Carter Ballard. Thank you!

Great staff! We had a really positive experience buying from them last week. Every single person we dealt with (Mason was our sales rep, John was sales manager, Nelson in F&I, and Ryan as general manager) treated us like we were priority customers. It was far from the typical car dealership experience. We ll definitely buy here again!

Mason was incredibly courteous and nice. He was knowledgeable and gladly answered any questions I had when trying to decide which car I wanted. He also helped make sure that I knew was I was buying and that I was getting a good deal. I would gladly buy a car from here again in the future.

I had a really pleasant experience purchasing a car from Carter Subaru Ballard. I set up and went for a test drive at first. I met with Craig S., who has been super helpful and super knowledgeable about the car. I was still exploring options at the time, and I did not feel pressured at all while I was test driving there. I was impressed with the car's performance and the information I got while I was test driving so I made the decision soon after. We completed the purchase with Craig; the whole process was very smooth and very professional.

Working with Macy was a total dream! It s the first time I ve ever walked away from buying a car not feeling ill. Macy was patient, communicative, honest, and easy to talk to! This is our second time buying from Carter (this time we even chose to drive from Bellevue to Ballard) and both times have been so great but working with Macy felt so easy! I m sure everyone else is great too. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience buying our car from Carter Subaru Ballard. Our rep, Lynette was an absolute joy to work with! We ordered our car in September last year, and picked it up in early January. She was extremely knowledgeable, communicative, considerate, patient and most importantly she was a great advocate to help us find the right car, at the right price/rate. The Carter Subaru team was transparent, fair and accommodating throughout the process we applaud them for their customer-centric candor and approach.I d also like to especially call out that Lynette and Pete (finance) stayed much later after closing time to answer our questions, sort out all our paperwork and help us leave the dealership with our brand new car (especially noting that we had waited 4 months for this car to be delivered after special order).I highly recommend buying from Carter Subaru Ballard (especially if it s your first car) and asking for Lynette!

I had a very good experience with both the sales and service sides of the business. When we were looking to buy, we got a very competitive quote for a 2024, but Carter did not have the exact model we wanted in stock. They found what we wanted and kindly referred us to the other dealer so we could buy it right away.After a very short time, a problem developed with our car and it needed a new transmission! We took it to Carter for warranty work, and they were great working with Subaru of America. I am more than satisfied and the people at Carter were very friendly and responsive in what was a stressful situation for us.The Ballard operation is very busy with people like us who like a dealership right in the city. But space is very tight given the neighborhood, although it appears Carter is attempting to expand. But they are extremely busy, so I would suggest just remembering that and knowing that they are a good bunch there and they will take care of you as quickly as they can. They really seem to want to develop and maintain long term relationships. So I am a happy customer.

Mason was my dealer and he was so incredibly helpful. I would send all my friends and family to buy a car from him! He was so personable, kind and safe. I didn't feel like he was manipulating or using me at all, he was trustworthy and made sure that I felt really comfortable and sure through every step in the process. He went above and beyond to provide me with all of the information and details I needed. 10/10 recommend Ballard location and looking for Mason.

I haven't bought a car in over twenty years but Carter made it easy. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. I was initially working with Bill online, and he'd been incredibly helpful and responsive. He was also kind enough to call out sick when I was scheduled to come in for a test drive and likely purchase the vehicle, which I appreciate.Riley smoothly stepped in and handled everything from there, helping me out with the test drive and sharing information on the Washington area (I'm new to the state). He was already up to speed on what we'd discussed and extremely helpful and friendly.

Wanted to shout out both service and sales teams here. I bought my new vehicle in May and it was a super smooth and enjoyable experience, short but thorough. I recently had an issue with some miscommunication in the service department where I felt I was overcharged and they promptly apologized and refunded the requested amount. I understand when folks are not trusting of dealerships, especially service-wise, but that is not a worry I have with Carter. Thank you guys.

I didn't end up buying a car from here but would like to give kudos to the excellent customer service of the sales team. Dan took me on a bunch of test drives to figure out which SUV feels the best to me and was so kind and patient to explain everything to me, as a first time car buyer or even my first time to walk into a dealership store. I didn't like any of the Subaru SUVs very much but will refer people to this place if they ever wanna shop for Subaru.

I only looked at the star rating which is for the dealership as a whole. The service department reviews show a different picture. I was asked to provide feedback after my service which I did and no one has reached out. This was my email and my experience Just left your location on my first ever visit. I noticed an oil leak in my 2021 outback 52k miles. Initialed your inspection report and left with the loaner. Was called later and they discovered a crush washer issue with the oil drain plug. Remedy was an oil change , they also noted a cabin air filter. Called service and they quoted me 128 for oil and 60 for cabin. When I arrived to pickup I figured the inspection fee would be waived with such an easy diagnoses as a drain plug. No it was not. So my visit was over $350 for what was an oil change plus a filter. If the diagnoses required a bit of scoping it work I would understand but not for what was done. Feel very cheated. The location had great difficulty getting my car out since there were so many stacked up pickups.

I just leased my second Subaru from Carter Subaru and want to sing high praise for Mason Calmettes, the sales professional who guided me through the process. Mason is an excellent communicator, listened to my needs, and stayed in touch to let me know about specific opportunities for me to get the car I wanted. Which I did. He was efficient and friendly, and really went the extra mile to ensure I had a great experience and got a good deal. He took the time to explain details thoughtfully and never pressured me. I worked with Riley to purchase a Volkswagen Tiguan yesterday. Riley was extremely easy to talk to, he did not put any pressure on us, and he was super helpful and accommodating with all of our requests. Riley gave us personable advice and kept things clear for us throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend asking to set up an appointment with Riley if you are interested in purchasing a car, he will make your experience a 10/10.
