I have been taking my cars to Broad strokes family of shops for years. They have dealerships service without having to deal with the dealership. It s a friendly clean environment, with knowledgeable people that care.The thorough mechanics have definitely saved me time and money by finding small problems before they turn into big problems. The best part is the car was only in there for an oil change! I really appreciate the safety check.I highly recommend you take your vehicle to Broad Stroke!

Broad Stroke Japanese is a life saver. I had a dead battery due to a failing starter. I called Broad Stroke because my brother-in-law who is mechanic in California recommended this shop to me. I am so glad that I did. Broad Stroke got my Subaru Crosstrek in the same day and went out of their way to get a starter for me so that my car would be up and running by the end of the day. They also did my 60,000 mile service the same day. They were up front about costs for services and gave me a detailed report on what they did and what they would recommend in the future. They use high quality parts, better than the dealer, and made the right recommendations for service based on my mileage. The front desk person Juliana was also super sweet, helpful, and very communicative through the process, keeping me updated on the status. I truly appreciate this shop, will be using them from now on, and highly recommend them to other Subaru owners.

I had a very good experience with Broad Strokes for my car service. I have been going there with my Honda CRV for a number of years. I find the team to be friendly and courteous and the work on my car to be thorough. Additionally, they communicate well regarding the needed work. I was also pleasantly surprised that there had been a decent vacuuming of my car.

Broad Stroke Seattle has been so welcoming replacing my headlights and brake fluid. Anastasiya was so understanding, helpful and patient, thank you to the mechanics who worked on my Acura as well! I will definetly be coming in for future services, they have been kind and I do trust them with my Acura Tl-s.Waffles says thank you!

Anastasia and her associates were great to work with. Recently brought my 02 Sequoia in for some routine maintenance when the original radiator finally gave out. My wallet is still crying but they had a new radiator and hoses in by the end of the next day. All oem too, which is a bonus.They gave me a detail breakdown of their pricing and I'd say it was more than reasonable for the quality of the work they do. If you're looking for a new shop and don't want to pay dealership prices, I highly recommend checking these guys out.

One of the few places left that you can trust. I brought my car in for what was a suspected issue, and they could have easily done the work and charged me hundreds, but they instead told me my car was just fine. The trust that they have established is what brings me back each time. Exceptional customer service...Jeff was so helpful. So glad they put their customers first, and most of all, are transparent and honest.

A friend recommended this shop almost four years ago. That first visit made me decide to make Specialty Motors my to go shop.The service is great and the intake personnel have laways been courteous, responsive and truthful. I have told several people about this shop. Only one has needed its service and she was very pleased with it. The new ownership seems to be set on maintaining the same level of professionalism. I recently took my car to have the water pump changed, it was handled very well. I strongly recommend Specialty Motors to anyone that owns a Toyota like i do.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I trusted the team with my car when I was on vacation, and they took the best care of her, replacing my clutch and oil pan gasket effortlessly. I also had them perform my major vehicle inspection, and they were very thorough and made sure I understood what was going on. Superb service!

I truly can't recommend this place enough!! I've gone for a couple different issues and the service has always been beyond incredible. They're so fast and always so upfront about pricing. Dustin takes the time to explain what needs to be fixed, what can wait, and what's not a concern at all.I left LA last year and finding a new mechanic seemed daunting. We've been using Specialty Motors for a few years now and they are fantastic. It's so great to have a mechanic shop we can trust. Dustin runs the place and is a straight shooter. He keeps us informed and only does what we ask without trying to hussle us into additional unneeded work. They are prompt, honest, reliable and give me a vacuumed car back! They have long term customers right here!

I have been going to Specialty Motors since 2011 for my Honda Civic, and I am so grateful to have a shop that I can 100% trust. They have taken great care of my car, and look for ways to save me money. Their staff is highly competent, working quickly and I have never had to take my car back for a misdiagnosed problem. I have left the Seattle area, but I still take my car to Specialty Motors for any tune-ups or fixes I have.

There are very few places that you go to and know immediately that you are being treated fairly and honestly. You get this when you choose Specialty Motors. Dustin is the best in every way. Honest, ethical and fair and his work is meticulous. He makes sure every car leaves his shop in great shape and as a customer, I have the confidence that the work was done with absolute perfection. There is no place better to send your cars.

Great shop, great people. in 2015, we completed a trouble-free 10,000 mile road trip in our 1986 VW van that was gone through by Dean and his crew first in 2008 (~6,000 mile road trip that year) and has gone to them for routine maintenance ever since. I've since moved a couple hours away from Seattle but in 2017 had to make a trip there for other reasons so I took my camper in again after a not-so-great experience with a Portland shop.They have always been upfront with me about what my cars needed (or didn't need) and never pressured me into spending money that did not need to be spent.Started with them after interviewing a number of shops for major work on our VW camper. Chose Dean and his team and do not regret it one bit. Now we take both cars there for routine stuff or whatever. They do not make unnecessary repairs, back up their work to the max, and believe in customer service.

Zero stars from me. I had an appointment two weeks in advanced for 8 am oil change today. Brought it in and was told one of his guys didn't come in, so he couldn't do it. No problem. We negotiated that I would come back at 4 pm, not a minute later, and he would do it. I was downtown for an appointment and I rushed back uptown to be there even before 4. He refused to do it because of bad interaction in the morning. He was right about that! He was so aggressive and hostile in the am when I was there, I didn't really want to come back. I was tired from a 2 day cross country trip and was fasting for blood tests, so I probably wasn't as sharp as I should have been, but instead of treating me like a new, potentially valued customer, he shouted at me, acted like I was dumb (you should drive your car more, hybrids need that; I just smiled and shrugged and said, ?well, I drive as much as I drive!" -- he got hostile, said he was just trying to help me . . . . . There were other exchanges like that). I don't think I would have liked this guy even on his good days, but boy, he cut me off, was hostile, completely unpleasant. Then when I broke my neck to get back uptown on time, he refuses to serve me. Probably decided to close early because of the weekend, and maybe his guy never showed up. Who knows. But gentle souls should STAY AWAY.

This was a recommended spot by my friend, and they deserve less than 1 star. I dropped my car off Thursday for an inspection, Dustin tells me he'd get back to me later today, and it'll probably be a couple hundred. I call him later and he tells me he needs until tomorrow to do a full inspection. Okay cool.I wait all day Friday, call the owner Dean to see what's going on with my car. Turns out Dustin went skiing and decided not to notify me my car is in worse shape than they thought, so he can't give me an estimate till MONDAY. So not only do I not have my car 5 days -- but the mechanic didn't even bother to tell me my estimate until Monday. I exhbit budhist like patience and say "Ok. I will wait until Monday" because they have such great reviews.So it's Monday. Not only did I have to call in again, but this guy Dustin quotes me from "a couple hundred" to $1000 for replacing nox filters, to which he assures me is a "big job". Look I understand the job is more than they expected, I get that. But this company wasted my time and money without appology. I was without a car for 5 days because their mechanic went skiing, I had to cancel my OWN plans because of that. I am livid. At this point I just hope someone sees this review and excercises caution before trusting these guys like I did.

Great shop and even better people. Been taking all my family s cars there for years and will never go anywhere else. Honest and well priced. Never charge you for anything more than what you need.

These guys are great - very thorough - they went thru my Honda Odyssey and found lots of little issues and got them fixed up well. Great local mechanic shop in North Seattle.

Very helpful, not rushing to the most expensive option. Dustin followed up with email and phone. Was not fixed the first go around but other inexpensive option s suggested and the most expensive will be the final choice.
