Very happy with the body work I got done here. My car needed two new doors after a vandalism incident. I appreciated their quick email responses and flexibility when setting up the repair, Shannon helped me out quite a bit. The repair itself looks brand new, and was completed in less than the quoted time frame. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful; I wouldn t hesitate to recommend CARSTAR to a friend. Photos show before and after (don t mind the difference in lighting, or the bushes reflected in the after photo- the car was sparkling clean when I picked it up, and the inside came back to me much cleaner than I left it!)

Ballard Collision CARSTAR replaced my 2007 Toyota Sienna's front bumper after a vehicle backed into it. From start to finish, their professionalism carried through every part of the process, from the initial assessment, scheduling, repair, and delivery. Their effort to communicate updates during the work was appreciated, and I am delighted with the results.

Friendly staff, quick work and great attention to detail. Our car looks good as new! Appreciated that they kept us up to date with all the progress as it happened. Hopefully we never get in an accident again, but if we do we ll be coming back here!

Great place to get my sideswipe of a door repaired. Carstar estimated, and met all their promised deadlines with text updates along the way. And bonus I never needed to deal with my insurance company as they did all the behind the scenes billing.

I was very pleased with my experience at Carstar. The employees are courteous, greet you when you come in and best of all we're willing to get my car to me quicker than the original estimate because I had a dental appointment. I would certainly use this collision center again if the need arose. J.H.

I missed my original call to schedule an estimate after sending insurance info. I called them back several times over a week, and left a message, but nobody ever answered or gave me another call. Had to just pick a different shop - it wouldn't be great to have that level of communication if they have my car anyways.

My insurance company called and spoke to Chris to set up a claim. It was all ready to go, but I needed to get a hold of them to finalize the details. I had to call 10 times before they picked up the phone. When a woman did pick up the phone (I believe her name is Shannon) she lied straight to my face and told me that the person that my insurance company talked to (Chris) didn t work there. She told me they were full and they couldn t take my car when my insurance company was just told they had openings. It s sad, because I ve been to this place before and they were great. But whoever the woman in the front answering the phone now (once again, I believe her name is Shannon) is so unprofessional, and I hate to be rude but apparently she s a liar too. Myself and my insurance company were absolutely baffled.Feel free to reach out if you d like to make this right.

Overall this was a terrible experience. Below is an account of our experienceCustomer Service problems - front desk was not customer-focused and rude on several occasions. Several times they lied about getting the manager and just passed the phone to an adjuster. How do I know this; they passed the phone to our adjuster and he tried to pass as the manager. We received several digital updates that were wrong every single time - thus this created confusion throughout the entire process. The original inspection date set by All-State and CarSTAR was incorrect. We were told that that part of the digital process never works and it is always wrong. I asked why do you still use it and they said "well, we just do".The original 2-3 week time frame quoted by the shop was incorrect and there was no communication why it changed. We also kept receiving updates that our car was going to be done (through the digital update system that never works) - it was wrong every time.Repairs ended up taking 41 days, not including the original review of the car. Our original accident was on 4/07 we had an original appointment on 4/14, but was rescheduled to 4/25 and finally took the car in for repairs on 5/19. We finally received the car on 4/29.Service (Car Repair) - The workmanship is poor as well. Our door does not line up correctly (it is not installed correctly; spots that are scratched and not repaired correctly; repaired spots are done poorly. We were told told that the shop guarantees their work, but when I sent an email to them they did not respond to our complaints about the work. Awful experience. I had my car parked on the street and had someone hit the side overnight leaving damage to the door but still driveable. After going through insurance, this place did an initial inspection and then scheduled another dropoff in which they said they would find out the repairs/parts needed and an estimate. After dropping off for a simple side swipe and repaint, it took them over 4 weeks to return my car which is already ridiculous based on the damage (and they won't allow you to keep your perfectly driveable car while they wait for parts). Worse is that their text service told me that my car would be ready when it wasn't. I arrange for my rental to be returned and called to ask what time my car would be ready only for them to tell me that the text service isn't accurate. I had to wait almost two more weeks for my car, had to pay AGAIN for a rental because my job requires it, and at no stage got clear communication nor timely service.I cannot recommend this place less. Avoid at all costs, especially if you aren't super wealthy, need a car for work, and don't have insurance that will cover a rental. The amount of financial hardship I went through for something I thought would be a straightforward repair (just a sideswipe and some paint damage) is unbelievable.

They did great work on the outside of my truck to fix it, but they forgot to paint the inside of the door. They asked me to wait on the survey, and come back and they would fix it and pay for a rental car. They promised to take care of everything 100%. I came back and they did fix it and it looked great but they ended up having my cc charged for the rental. I called them and asked them to fix it, they promised to and did not.

The team at Carstar was efficient and transparent. They sent frequent text updates on the status of my repairs and the end result looks great.2 comments - I had to pay my deductible upon pickup, which insurance assured I would not, because Carstar hadn t actually ever sent the estimate to insurance (so my insurance says). Another note - all the settings in the car have been changed and I m not sure why that is necessary. Just will take some re-configuring.

The folks there were friendly, explained the process clearly, kept me up dated, via text, nearly daily and finished the job 2 days ahead of the projected finish date. The vehicle was nicely cleaned and all repairs and charges were explained when I picked up the car. I would recommend this car repair shop to anyone that needed collision repair work done on their vehicle.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair

It took a while because of parts but after a couple days with my car back I can honestly say they did an awesome job. The car drives straight and true as if nothing ever happened. Thank you carstar !

Communication was absolutely horrendous. I called 3 weeks ago to get scheduled for an estimate that I can send to my insurance for my car that someone hit while parked and ran. The person on the phone said that they have appointments in early October but the scheduler was out and would call me back in a couple days. They then hung up on me and didn t take any of my information. I assumed they maybe had caller ID and would have my information to call me back that way. A week goes by I haven t heard from them so I called and no one answered and I left a message with my information. Another week went by and I called again (during business hours each time) and left another voicemail with my information and let them know that I had been trying to get in touch with them for 2 weeks. Their voicemail even says leave your name and number and they will give you a call back. Again no one called to get in touch with me. I called again this morning and finally someone picked up but informs me that they are now only taking appointments for early November but they will not take my information until I send over an assignment from my insurance. Which is something that the person on the phone I was speaking to 3 weeks ago never informed me of. I will not be bringing my car into here and I wouldn t recommend them to anyone. I m actually recommending to my insurance company that they take them off the list of places they suggest to people in the Seattle area.

The work was satisfactory. However, when the car was returned1. The cover plate for the electronics in the hood was not in place.2. There was no air in the tires. When I brought it up, the immediate reaction was to say that the tire lights were on during the intake. Upon checking it was found not to be the case and Lauren took care of it.3. Many settings in the car has been altered. For example the speedometer now reads in km/hr instead of miles/hr. I still don t know how to change this. I am wondering what this has to do with repairing the body of the car.Overall, somewhat disappointing given that they did not pay attention to such details. I trust the body repair was done more carefully than how the car was returned to me.Happy to answer any questions. Having an older car can be a nightmare to repair. Many of the small pieces needed to hold body parts on can t be found easily. Lauren went above and beyond to hunt down the unobtainium needed to finish the job.Thanks for taking on the challenge. Many body shops wouldn t even give me an estimate.

Poor communication is embedded in their business model. I just wish if they were too busy to provide proper service, they'd let me know instead of wasting time.Overall, an unimpressive set of interactions led me to go to a different body shop. I initially selected an open appointment slot for an estimate via my insurance company's web portal. I received a call later that day from Ballard Collision that all appointments were full for a couple of weeks, so they moved my appointment back 3 weeks. minor inconvenience since the info wasnt consistent between insurance and repair company, but certainly not the end of the world.on the day of appointment, I arrived about 15min early. when i walked in to the office, i was treated as if was in the wrong for being early. it wasnt a friendly "oh, you're early". it was a chastizing tone. strange, but not a surprise when the basics of customer service seem to be lacking everywhere.the estimate took less than 10min and i was on my way. i was told i'd have the 2 requested repair estimates on Monday. however, a week went by and neither I nor my insurance company had received the info. I called 10 days after the estimate and was told it wasnt ready, but would be once the employee got to work that day. Later that morning I received the first estimate. I emailed back, asking for the additonal estimate. A week later I have not received that estimate, despite the employee saying "Still working on it. As soon as I m done I can get that to you."Service: Body & Trim

Very kind staff, willing to accommodate my poor understanding of how insurance works, haha. Cleaned the drivers seat even though that was not where repairs were, since they were using that part of the car to move it around.

The work was excellent. Staff efficient and friendly. Facility clean.The time frame to find a hood for me was 3 weeks. Then a week to prepare it.Suggest temporary schedule, possible reschedule if products still not available. That way I would still have a car to use until products come in.

I was given an appointment at this company after being in a collision, they waited until I got there to tell me they don't do estimates, when I made the appt. I specified that it was for an estimate only, this was their way to coerce me into getting the work done ....didn't happen,,, very shadyy Tactics

Wanted to inspect and complete all repairs before any estimate. Confirmed multiple times over the phone that they would refuse to give me an estimate before making full repairs. When clarifying this policy of obligating customers to pay for repairs without consent, they cancelled my appointment.I hope you all have the day you deserve :)

Hands down some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Knowing that my car was in good hands made my unfortunate situation more bearable. The team is passionate, compassionate, and understanding. I would HIGHLY recommend bringing your vehicle to this shop. Julia is a great front desk attendant that was always providing great customer service. Every time I called she was more than willing to give me in depth detailed responses about my car and the timeframe. The team took time out of their day to meet with me when I went to pick up my vehicle and showed me what exactly they did.
