I don't recall when I first brought my car here, but I do know I've made multiple visits over the last decade or so. Look, car repairs are expensive, but these guys are VERY transparent and fair. They're honest and helpful to a fault. I'm never going anywhere else, unless I move an unreasonable distance away. I even got their help on a potential recent car purchase that was INVALUABLE! I highly recommend!

We were on our way home to Bellingham on a Saturday evening when our minivan failed to start. We had it towed to the garage on Monday and Dan said they would try to work it into their schedule as time permitted. By Tuesday afternoon Daniel called and said they had discovered a vacuum hose had become disconnected and were able to make a quick repair. They also did a thorough inspection of our vehicle and made recommendations for other work that will need some attention soon. We really appreciate the professionalism of the staff their great customer service. We would highly recommend The Garage to anyone who lives near Renton.

I m originally from out of state and was hesitant on finding a good shop to work on my car. First off, The Garage is very clean and the customer service at The Garage is outstanding. The mechanics got the work done in a timely manner. Daniel was very personable and was perfect in updates along the way. Definitely found the shop you can trust.

Professional. Honesty. Transparent.I took my 2009 Subaru Outback to The Garage in Renton for some regular maintenance + power steering repair. I found the shop via other reviews (Google + Yelp). I called several other shops in the area to get other opinions/estimates for the work as it was a substantial amount of money I needed to spend.I can t speak highly enough of my experience with The Garage in Renton. Daniel was incredibly professional. The amount of work I needed to have done on my Subaru - I knew it would not be a small bill. Daniel spent ample time with me walking through all my options, never once trying to sell me on a repair or service. Instead he educated me on what needed to be done and why. He allowed me to ask questions and sort out all my options. It truly felt like he had my interest in mind. Although car repairs are not something any of us like to do - I can t say enough how much I appreciated my experience at The Garage in Renton. I take my truck here for repairs and they're transparent, efficient, knowledgeable, and get the job done. There's no upselling, they simply tell you what your vehicle needs now, and what it may need in the future. There's no pressure from them. I just found them very honest which is what I'm looking for in a mechanic.Cost of service is in line with or better than other competition. Very pleased.

I had some repairs needed on my Jeep and The Garage came recommended. The whole experience was great! They even had a loaner car I borrowed for the few days my car was in the shop. The crew are very helpful and thorough in explaining what was done and what was needed.

Update- still using the Garage. They contain to let me know the best options and let me choose best paths forward. I think I ve used their services for about 6/7 big car issues over the years and still giving 5 stars. They do a good job and communicate very well. So appreciate having folks I can trust!Such great service at the Garage in Renton. It s my go to auto shop for great service. They have kept all my cars running in good shape. I appreciate their honesty and helping us save money when we don t need to fix something right away. Thank you Dan and Daniel and all at the Garage in Renton!

Team was friendly and super helpful and informative. Was able to figure out with minimal fuss that my car was a goner and didn't complain too hard when it took a week to get it towed out of the way. Will definitely be bringing future cars to them!

Excellent experience! Recently had some HVAC/Electrical work done on my older model Escape that proved to be extra difficult as the replacement part is no longer made. Daniel was with me the whole way, remembered who I was when I would call/check-in, and when the part was finally located, it was installed next day. I ll be going back for any future work. Thanks guys!

Could not recommend enough! Daniel was so personable and kind over the phone. He was able to fit me in within the hour, where Tony helped fix my gas tank cover. They were both so kind and helpful in a stressful situation. Will definitely be taking any car troubles to them in the future!

I shopped for quotes. Most places were about the same in cost so I decided to go to a place that has great reviews.I was greeted, the appointment that I had made was remembered, the estimate for my brakes and rotors was a very honest and fare price vs. any dealership.They got me in on my day off and got my car finished in a decent time. Daniel also explained the procedure of why changing the rotors was important as well as noticing my license plate bulb needed to be changed. They also photographed a few concerns that I ll be back to fix or since it s under warranty have the dealership do even though I know the garage would actually do a better job. For once, I feel as I won t be pushed around at a mechanic. These guys are honest and I ll be back for sure!Service: Brakes

A++ Great service, friendly employees, and extremely clean shop! Made an appointment for my car and was reminded (via text) to make sure I was prompt throughout the week. I dropped it off in the morning and by noon I was alerted (via text again) when my car was ready to be picked up. Paid with contactless payment and chatted with a very helpful and friendly Daniel Brakus. I will definitely recommend to all my friends for any auto repairs, needs, and services! Thanks again.

Daniel and the technician s open communication was a great surprise! Getting multiple phone calls on updates, asking meaningful questions, and keeping me informed every step of the way was reassuring. So impressed with this business! They did a complementary inspection of my car for a 60,000 mile service. They emailed me an explanation of the things that needed to be done and highlighted the most important. They sent pictures of parts that needed replacement to show wear. They gave me all pricing for parts and labor ahead of time.I was very happy with their work and professionalism and felt Daniel treated me like family. My VW was losing a lot of coolant, and had just fallen out of warranty. The Garage did an excellent job of the repairs, asked questions to make sure they weren't going to charge me for something that could've been covered by OEM warranty, and communicated status very clearly and effectively. They have absolutely earned my business next time I have a problem with my car.

I m so happy to have found my car people. After my car was stolen and vandalized, they got me in ASAP when other shops were projecting it would take weeks or months to get the parts. They helped advocate for a fair payout for me with my insurance company. Can t recommend them highly enough, I ll for sure be back for routine maintenance.

Fantastic group of talented auto technicians, intelligent, professional and sensitive to customer needs. They were able to coordinate repairs with my extended vehicle warranty insurance company without any difficulty whatsoever, great service and communication, no pressure, just friendly and knowledgeable suggestions regarding potential maintenance issues. Absolutely the best in the business, i strongly encourage you to take your vehicle to them for service. They cared for my 2010 Challenger like a family member, this is a very reassuring and trustworthy automotive repair enterprise.UPDATE: After this positive experience, I brought my 2010 Challenger in with what I thought was a battery problem, based on the dashboard battery charge warning. They looked it over and said the battery was fine, but afterwards the car died at work in Seattle. Fortunately, I was able to have AAA give me a jump and tell me the battery was okay. I called Apex Automotive Repair in Renton and described the scenario, and they said it was an alternator. So, I purchased an alternator from O Reilly s and installed it myself, with the help of YouTube videos. I thought the attentiveness to customer needs and quality of service should improve, based on this disappointing experience. Also, I asked The Garage to replace the fluids in the transmission and transaxle with the appropriate high-grade lubricant for these crucial mechanisms, and based on the alternator diagnosis failure, I m concerned that the technician used ordinary Brand X gear oil. Additionally, this marginal service at around $300, was overpriced. I was able to troubleshoot the dead alternator with a multimeter, which is much more effort than the pricey mechanic put in. I have little faith in The Garage after this mediocre performance and I would only use them in an emergency if I couldn t standby or limp to another repair facility. I have learned that sole proprietor repair shops like Apex Automotive Repair or Los Poblanos do a better job because the owner is the technician, and they give a rip about what happens with the customer experience and quality of repair work. After visiting The Garage, I felt like I had asked the dippy lube techs at Valvoline Instant Oil Change what they thought was wrong with my vehicle. Not a very reassuring user experience. The only less competent repair facility in Renton that I am aware of would be Auto Pro, which is owned and operated by Ken Wright and his criminal family.Service: General repairs & maintenance

They did have my car for about a week, but it was understandable due to a part needing to be shipped. Other than that my experience was excellent. Daniel, the manager, stayed in constant communication with me about my car. Can t say enough great things about the shop. Daniel handles most of the customer service and he was a joy to be around. I brought my car in to get an aftermarket product put on my 4 runner and Tony, the owner, actually took care of me. They all were so humble and kind and did excellent work.
