They totally messed up my car. Had it 4 months tore it apart. Stole the cool air intake and battery. Don't stay in communication. They let my car sit out in a field to get molded. I had to go have it towed from them. My car is definitely in worse condition then when I took it to them. And I read they sell people's cars while their on deployment. I am pursuing legal action.

Seeking a second opinion with J&H service saved me thousands on car repairs. They ran engine block tests and found no evidence of a need for head gasket repair like I was told from a previous local mechanic shop. Not only did they save me on unnecessary repairs, the shop finished the work in a couple hours going beyond my expectations despite being busy.I was more than pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and I am never going anywhere else for my repairs.

FANTASTIC service! I have been to more than a few auto mechanic shops in the Olympia area, but Troy Auto Service is THE ONLY SHOP I take my rig to now, and THE FIRST SHOP I recommend to anyone looking for an honest, reliable, experienced mechanic. John and his crew of skilled professionals will quickly diagnose the issues, explain the solutions and provide an accurate cost estimate, then get you back on the road ASAP with a fix you can trust. Glad I found finally Troy Auto, and only wish I had found them sooner.

I would never bring any of my vehicles to this place.A friend of mine took her car there. Was told it would be in the A.M. time on said day.Called back around noon and was told early afternoon.Called back at 3 and was still told early afternoon.It is afternoon and its now late afternoon.Car not done.Wont be ready untill tomorrow morning.No cuatomer service skills at all.He was super rude and disrespectful.No good.

After, going to Rainier Dodge to fix our air conditioner in our 2016 Chrysler Town and Country and hundreds of dollars without it being fixed. We were referred to John. Oh one more thing, we were quoted $4k to replace parts and fix it. I took it to John and he not only found what truly was wrong but also did a tune up for just over $700. Uh, $700 or $4,000. No brainer!

If you are looking for them to service on ur car we're looking for estimate the require you to pay or give money down before they can tell you if anything is wrong with your vehicle my vehicle been there for a month and so far they had told me nothing but they want me to go and give them money without having an estimate given to me

John is a very hon r st kind person.. the prices are fair and make sense. He doesn't make up extra stuff and lie. The work is usually done the same dsy!I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else!

Please read the update as well as the original. I learned from this experience....So far I am not happy but I think that is because I am upset at myself for going here after my intuition told me that you had to be a good ol boy or been going here for years or not be a person with my skin to get good service here! Not sure why a veteran and good American has to do these days to just get what I pay for or folks to hold up their side of business without discrimination and unfair treatment but it is scary at times. And this was very difficult for me to post but I really feel that I am being treated differently. I called and was told to have my car there to get looked at...over the phone. I get in the morning after n I waited for to be spoken to...more than I thought needed. Then attitude and I am a very patient person. Also felt like he regretted telling me to bring car in now that I was actually there...I really am hoping that I am wrong and I can update this with something nice... Update....had a great conversation with him and I have clarity on things as well as expectations.n. From what I gather, somethings take an amount of patience when you want them done the way that works! Also it's how you communicate with each other. As we always say... can't rush Greatness!

I took my truck in about 3 months ago John was helpful turned out my drive line was too short and wreaked havoc on rear differential he had it fixed and running top notch9/19/2023 - having issues with my transmission so I've taken it back to troys where I believe the quality of the work speaks for itself yeah it's an older truck and I knew I was gonna have issues just glad I have a shop I can trust to do the work properly Update-9/21/23 John and his son had my truck transmission swapped and a full day earlier than he anticipated as well as $600 cheaper than his original quote talk about service his dedication to the work and the respect is mutual.....I don't understand why some people have an issue with John I just started going to him as he was close by and am happy with the quality and care I've received from him and his team 5 'sAnyone needing quality work done this is the place you need to come to

John should not be in business.... After a poor engine install ( zip ties on coil packs ect) and 2 months of my truck being there ( unlocked outside btw) he threw a temper tantrum like a little girl. He demanded I come get my truck ( after he tore my new engine apart). He sabotaged my truck. A real repair shop is currently undergoing diagnostic and documentation of the damages are being kept for police report/ civil action against troy auto fraud services...... DO NOT EXPECT ANYTHING FROM THEM. I PAID THAT CHUMP 4 GRAND CASH......UPDATEI got my f150 into a REAL PROFESSIONAL AUTO REPAIR COMPANY.... Apparently troy auto did the following damage to my truck. Sabotaged the electrical wiring harness, put holes in my valve covers and radiator...... See you in court and hope you like this review John you big baby... I paid 4 grand cash and ripped off by this low life thief.......ALL THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE FAKE....BBB " JOHN HAS AN ANGER PROBLEM ".....

Just like Douglas Gardner who asked (after a month) John when our vehicle would be ready? He threw a temper tantrum stating " I needed to come get my F150".. Of course after he tore my new engine down and disassembled it..... I have pictures of how after I paid 4100 to have engine installed, they gave it back with zip ties holding the coil packs to the engine. Update..... he sabotaged my f150 before giving it back....

Been doing business with him for more than 10 years. Takes good care of me and my family. He works hard and so does his team. Very skilled and dependable. Had my Ford Explorer experience an electrical failure, got it fixed quickly and it runs great.

I had a bad tick in my 2012 F-350. Brought it to three different places including the Ford dealership in Olympia. They all told me they can t or won t diagnose or repair my truck. I heard about Troy s from the Goodyear in Lacey. I went in and explained the noise. He said yes just leave it with us and I ll get back to you within 48hrs with a quote. He called explained what he needed to do to fix it. I said do it. My truck hasn t run this awesome in years. Troy s is the only place from now on that I will bring my vehicles to.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I have been going here for over 12 years! I now call the owner John, "Uncle John" because he treats me like family. No matter the problem, and bringing him multiple cars over the years, he has helped me and fixed them. He goes above and beyond. He has come to rescue me on the road when my car has broke down so I can still make it to work on time and even had his crew take me to my ultrasound appointment while my car was being worked on. It is hard to find an honest mechanic, but I am so happy I found this one.Services: Transmission, Auto battery replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement, Auto A/C recharge, Tire rotations, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Oil change

They have had my girlfriends car for two months. We were in the area so we stopped by to check the status of the car and get an estimate timeframe of when the work will be done. John was the most unprofessional person I've ever encountered; cussing us out for simply inquiring about our car. So far in two months they have not touched the car. They said they found parts at a junk yard, but they could not say when they were going to get the parts. I offered to go to the junkyard myself and bring the parts down to the shop to save time, and John yelled some more profanities before asking us to leave.Do not take your car here, they will take advantage of youEdit: just got home and John called and said they are now refusing to do any work, and to come pick up the car

I was recommended to go to John years ago and he instantly won me over. He knew I was deploying and he handed my wife his business card and said to her no matter what time if you need assistance call me, if you have to have your vehicle towed have them bring it here and we'll figure out how to pay for it later. He has been honest and stands by his work. If something his shop does isn't quite right he makes it right. I appreciate everything he has done for my family and will continue to bring our vehicles to him. Want to give a shout out to Scott as well - John has been an awesome mentor to him and I have the same respect for him as well.

After being told by 3 Ford Dealerships and 3 independents that even though I was traveling from the other side of the state there was no way I could be seen within the next 2-3 weeks. John from Troys told me to bring the truck right in and he would see to it ASAP. The AC was repaired w/in 3 hours and is blowing nice cold air. I cannot recommend John and his staff enough. Fast and very professional.Service: Air conditioning

I have brought both my vehicles to J and H several times, I kept coming back because they seem to do good work and their prices are great, lower than anywhere else I have been. They won't raise the price on you if it ends up they had to do more than they estimated. They do seem to care about their customers and don't rip you off. The reason I am giving 4 stars and not 5 is they are somewhat unorganized. They don't do appointments so your car can sit there for a couple days or a week before getting work done and they don't always call back when they say they will. If that doesn't bother you then I would recommend them, can't beat their prices.

Best Mechanic/Shop Ever!I have lived in 7 different states over the last several decades, so I have had my cars serviced at many different places. J & H Auto is the best, with service that is top of the line, fair pricing, honest estimates, and I am always given options. Every time I have had my car serviced I drive away knowing my car had been serviced/repaired by the best mechanics, I have been charged a fair price, and I have been treated with respect. I have never once had a problem and I always recommend J&H Auto Shop to anyone who needs a mechanic.

This crew seem competent, but we've had to make multiple visits with vehicles to actually have a repair completed satisfactorily. Final straw: at the last oil change, the drain plug was over-tightened, stripping the threads in the pan. After weeks of oil on the driveway, we had another mechanic take a look, and identify the issue. Cost us hundreds of $$ to rectify. We will not be back, and do not recommend this shop to anyone, unless you have limitless resources and don't really need your vehicle to function properly.

Just bought a car that needed a little work done on it. Needed my top intake manifold off and there was two bolts on the back side near the firewall that i could not get. Took in to have them get the nuts off so i could do some simple maintenence on it. Took them 15 minutes to get them off and for a very reasonable price. I would recommend to anyone that needs any work done on there vehicle.Unlike most places there worried about your satisfaction than the money from what i have observed on several occasions.

It's always hard to find a good honest mechanic. I can honestly say that I have found the one. John is honest & will let you know exactly what is wrong & will fix it . I'm so happy to have found a great mechanic. Then he checks up with you to make sure your car is running good & there is no problems. I will definitely recommend J & H auto to everyone I know. Thanks John for the great service.

I have been taking both our family cars to J&H for about 10 years (when it was called Bucky's.) John is always honest, friendly, and helpful. He does a great job at very reasonable prices. He often tells me ways to have the car fixed for less cost. He goes out of his way to be helpful and work with us. The only down-side is that since they are so good, they are always busy, but they still manage to squeeze me in whenever I need a repair. I had bad experiences with other auto shops in town, but never with J&H. Highly recommended.

Great people! My vehicle broke down and the tow truck driver recommended Troy's, saying that they did good work and were usually able to get the work done quickly. Given that I was in a bind I was really hoping that he was right. He was and I am very pleased with the work and impressed as well. Thank you, John and the rest of the crew!

John has refreshingly honest and expert advice the 1st time you ask, He has been always been fair when I'm in a jam with my car and truck. He even got me a great value on HID lights for my Jeep. This is the kind of small business you feel welcome and happy going back to.I recommend him 100% and you should feel comfortable getting the same great service.
