I recently had the pleasure of working with East valley auto rebuild to bring my project car back to life! I am a DIY mechanic and had destroyed my engine racing rallycross during the winter season. I started taking apart the engine and found the typical leaky head gasket on my Subaru ej251 engine. After taking the heads to a machine shop I learned all my valves were leaking and a full top end rebuild would be needed to bring the car to life. While at this stage I decided to go ahead with a bottom end rebuild, but couldn t find a shop to work on my Subaru engine until I found East valley auto rebuild. The team was extremely informative, helpful, and allowed me to do my own install which I appreciated. The engine is running strong now and I am taking my time to break it in following their recommended procedure. Would definitely recommend coming here for a Subaru engine rebuild!

I had a full engine build that needed to be done for my car. After I talked to Mark, I knew my car would be in good hands. I had the pleasure of working with Damon who kept me updated on the tear down of my old engine and progress of my new one. They weren't pushy about their recommendations for upgraded parts and there weren't any surprise charges. I wouldn't go anywhere else and have found my lifelong shop for my future car needs.

Stands alone when it comes to Subaru service. Was given a tour of the shop and very well treated when I dropped off my wrecked Sti. Since then Mark and his team have gone above and beyond expectations even when negotiating with negligent insurance companies. Extremely diligent and Committed group of guys. Will be returning again in the future!

Fantastic place, everyone there is honest and knowledgeable. I brought it in my Subaru Legacy GT here after the headgasket started leaking on it. We decided on rebuilding the entire engine and Mark was very helpful in telling me which parts should be upgraded given the power goals I had for the car. Mark, Damon and the rest of the mechanics working there have a ton of expertise especially when it comes to Subarus. I got my car back in excellent condition and it drives better than ever. The prices are more than fair especially when comparing to dealership costs and in my opinion the mechanics at East Valley are far more knowledgeable than the ones I dealt with at the dealership. Since the engine rebuild I've been coming here for any work my car needs and will continue doing so in the future. Would recommend this shop to anyone that needs their Subaru worked on or upgraded.

Great shop, extremely transparent and Mark is always helpful whenever I have any questions. I just had a complete engine rebuild, and they got it done in less than a month. 5 stars.

The best shop to go to for anything Subaru. I had a blown motor and within a day, they were starting the rebuild. Rebuild in my opinion was quick but according to them it was slow. No problems with the motor and they are very informative with the break-in and anything other issues i would have.

I bought a refurbished Subaru (engine and drive chain) in 2016 that I am still driving. I have put 60 thousand plus miles on it relatively maintenance free and it shows no signs of wearing out.They did a great job on it and Subarus are a good all weather car

Hands down the best auto shop I have ever used. Mark, Damon and the rest of his team helped save my beloved 94 Loyale from going to the junkyard! When every other shop told me to scrap the car, Mark helped me by finding 2 cylinder heads. His shop pulled off an impossible job of, cleaning, machining and mailing them to Alaska and in my hands in 5 days!Seriously, an amazing shop that deserves more than 5 stars.

Family owned and operated for 38 + years as a subaru specialty shop ,working on all makes, this shop shows a vibrant and general warmth that doesn't scare you off ,taking the time and patience to explain how somthing is repaired and why it needs to be, and as far as taking you in the service area under a car and showing the damaged and or worn out parts, this is so unusual. These guy's care. Come see for your self, it's a positive experience, and they are all ex dealer workers happy to be free of the dealership grind, and at 165$ an hr this beats the dealer by a mile.

I had East Valley Auto Rebuild, rebuild, my engine about a year ago on a BRZ. Their work is still holding up to today and the engine is running perfectly. Friendly group of people!I really like Marks energy and enthusiasm!So far, nobody has beat around the bush on my Subaru with the problems she has, but I trust these guys with my baby girl and getting her up to date since I have sadly neglected her and keeping her healthy

Just did a road trip and now have logged more than 7 thousand miles since Mark replaced head gaskets plus replace pistons and rings. Mileage increase to 27 miles to a gallon which is good because they recommended I use premium grade of gas. I'm pleased I went to East Valley Auto Repair. They really know their stuff!! If you have a Subaru and need work done this is the place to go. My Subaru has over 300,000 miles and East Valley Auto Rebuild is the only place I take it. With that many miles you know I wouldn't stick with them if they weren't doing things right. And with that many miles you know I would have long since traded up if they didn't have reasonable prices.Service: General repairs & maintenance

So far so good, Mark(Subaru Guru) has given me an honest opinion that matches 2 other opinions I've been given. So far he has given the best quote for the job and promised the best results for the outcome. It's time to trust the world and what it's given me. I'll give a final outcome when that happens. But for now, this place is legit. I'm still sceptical. First mechanic, I've tried to trust in the Seattle area. Any rebuild is sketchy and pricey.

East Valley was great to work with - I had the Re-Seal done on my Subaru. The only think I would like to see better is an account of what the "re-seal" entailed on the bill. Mark is aptly named the guru for a reason. Took care of me in one day out the other and Ross has treated me like a brother from day one. Been servicing my Subaru needs for some time, have all the tools and certified Subaru techs .. and he beats the pants off the dealer!

I can not say enough about the team here at East Valley Auto Rebuild. I was referred to them originally from a cousin of mine who said they were top notch and trustworthy. I had a pretty unique vehicle that I had exclusively been taking to the dealer I purchased it from for years, and had become unhappy wth thier shddy servce and overpricing. Not only did the team here have better customer service, they had the best prices anywhere for the quality of work they provide.They have found issues with my car that other service providers not only missed, but issues that could have caused damage to me or my vehicale as a result of their oversight and poor workmanship.I am so grateful for the team here, that I have been taking all of my vehicles to them ever since.Not only will I not trust anyone else to even breathe nearby one of my cars, I would never let anyone else touch one to repair it except this team. They have proven time and time again that they can deliver exeptional quality work, in a very efficient timeline, with a smile. THey are caring, loyal, honest and simply the best at what they do.I recccomend this company to anyone needing car services of any ind overall. I went in for an engine tune for my Subaru 05 and it was done. On the way away from the shop check engine light came on and multiple sensors needed replacements. Before I took it to the shop, the check engine lights were off. I am not sure why the light turned on, or what caused it, might be terrible timing. This is my experience. Staff is helpful and the owner is a good guy who's always there to listen. I could not afford $100 to run a diognostic to see why the check engine light turned on after the tune. Not sure what to do from here, but Google asked me to write a review, so here I am.

Got an estimate to have engine rebuilt for $7k. Came to pick up my car and the bill was over $9k. They never informed me that the bill was going up this much but because they had already done the work I had no choice but to pay it. I wouldn't have had them do the work had they told me this price upfront.

Sold me Suburban said it ran and drove good it doesn't shift the transfer case or rear end growl is very bad and the owner said that he would bring the title to my house never showed very disappointed

This place has built some really amazing Subaru project cars, and employs some talented people! They are well worth checking out if you need a shop that can handle engine swaps, custom tuning, wiring harness conversions, turbo builds, and more.

This isn't really a review as it is just general info for any random person searching for a shop to rebuild their motor. This shop, as of now, only deals with Subaru. So, if you've got a Subaru, give this guys a ring. If not, you're gonna wanna go elsewhere.
