I don't write reviews often, but I have to give Parker's Automotive and Service a HUGE shout out!! Brian, the owner, fixed an annoying sound my car was making FOR MONTHS right on the spot. Then he refused to charge me because the solution was quick and simple once he realized what it was. I was stunned. In addition to such quick and expert service, I was also floored by how clean and quaint (yep, quaint) the waiting area was! Brian was quick to credit and compliment his wife and partner for her interior design and organization skills. She has managed to make this uniquely nostalgic repair shop a pleasant and immaculate place to wait. Brian's ability to communicate so well was very noticeable as I observed his interaction with two other customers happily waiting by my side. They raved to me about how they have relied on Parkers for years and how Brian fit in one of them that day in a pinch. They sounded just like my dad's rave reviews, ha and that's saying something because he owned an RV service shop. Nothing is perfect (particularly after a pandemic), but Parkers Automotive is darn close. They went way above and beyond to provide me with amazing service, communication, and kindness I will never forget.

I have depended on Brian at Parkers Automotive to service my car ever since I moved to Gig Harbor. Brian is one of the best car mechanics I have ever known. His company is family operated. They are honest, reliable, and give outstanding service. I am a senior and many times Brian has come to my house, picked up my car, serviced it, and then returned it to me. Gig Harbor is lucky to have Parkers Automotive. I highly recommend it for all car services and needs.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Parker's Automotive and Services and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with their expertise and professionalism. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and excellent customer service. The staff at Parker's Automotive went above and beyond to ensure that my car was taken care of efficiently and effectively. They clearly communicated the issues with my vehicle and provided me with detailed explanations and options for repair. The mechanics were knowledgeable and skilled, and I felt confident that my car was in good hands. Additionally, the pricing was fair and transparent, without any hidden fees or unnecessary upselling. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick turnaround time and the quality of work done on my car. After feeling stressed due to brake, rotor, tires, and apparently my cars wheels in general I went to this quaint shop and found a very comfortable small business that communicated all aspects of my vehicles issues in detail and how we could go about fixing the issue. If you are anything like me clear communication is key because I m a lost cause when it comes to all the nooks and crannies of my vehicle. My experience was almost like seeing my doctor. Their team diagnosed my problems, created a treatment plan and executed with minimal downtime. I ll never go back to those big box shops again. I felt welcomed and appreciated from start to finish. I wish all my experiences were this seemless. A big 5 stars for these life savers.

This is the only automotive shop that I'll go to. I can always trust that the work will be done correctly. I have been going to Parker's Automotive for years but, what really stood out to me this time is that I had no idea that I needed to do some 100,000 mile maintenance on my car. I had just brought it in for an oil change but Brian noticed that my car had just gone over the 100k mile mark. Brian is very knowledgeable and professional when it comes to cars so I know I can trust his word. He informed me that I should change the spark plugs and do a couple other things to keep my car running optimally. I care about my car a lot so it made me very happy to know that they care about my car as much as I do.

As soon as I walked in I was treated like family. Brian is a master mechanic and the only one that I can trust to work on my vehicles. I had an issue with the catalytic converter and o2 sensor and they fixed the problem. At first, I took my car into the dealership. After being quoted an astronomical price I went elsewhere. I took it to another automotive shop, but they weren't able to fix it. Instead, I spent money to not have it fixed. So I took it to Parkers Automotive. Brian diagnosed my car and found out what the problem was. After getting my car back from Parkers Automotive, no more check engine light! I don't know about you, but I hate having lights on my dashboard. If you need a trustworthy mechanic to get the job done right, look no further!

Everyone at Parkers is so friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and goes out of their way to help. They are honest and their prices are fair. I won't trust anyone else with my car.

EDIT 2/6/2024: To respond to the owner... I would have never given a 1 star review had you actually offered the price reduction and I would have gotten my car fixed at your shop- I stood there and waited for the offer to go back down to the original price.. This is a flat out lie. This offer was not presented to me on the phone nor in person.I see the 4.7 stars and I am like man I wish I had that experience. My chiropractor recomended this shop to me so I gave them a go. All in all my experience wasnt HORRIFIC but I am severly dissapointed in the lack of customer service and accountability this shop provided. I called the week of jan 22nd to schedule an appt for the following week (Tuesday 1/30/2024). the price was set at $85 for a full inspection - great lets schedule it. Everything went smoothly when dropping it off and there was no additional information given by myself or the receptionist Megan. Wednesday (1/31/2024) I get the call that the inspection has been completed and we go over the list of needs for my vehicle. Ok great I will be by in a bit to pick it up and schedule the work - I had decided I was going to leave the vehicle there to get work done so I had called back and to get everything started. I ask if the $85 is included in the price or if its a seperate charge (some auto shops do that where if you start the work than the inspection fee is waived - so I asked just to get my ducks in a row) the answer I got was "Oh sorry its not actually $85 our prices changed and its actually $123.18".. uhm excuse me? when did they change? when did you realize you made a mistake? its at this point that I now feel a lack of trust and decide I am going to pick somewhere else because the vibe around the entire situation and how it was brought about was shady. I explained the reasoning and told them I would be by to pick up my car to take it somewhere else.. When I arrived the receptionist was nowhere to be seen and the owner(?) Brian was in her place to hand me my keys. Come to find out the prices changed "months ago" and "she made a mistake" - I was not ocmbative and explained the situation as this is now a $38 difference that I had not expected. I am dissapointed in the way this business was conducted and handled. I will not be returning. I suggest that you get all of their prices in writing no matter what otheriwse their prices might magically "change" again.. If your employees are making mistakes like this months after the prices change then she needs to be double checking EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. that the prices are accurate. When did she find out that my price was messed up? and why didnt I get a call with the option of just coming to get my vehicle instead of "oh oops we just wasted hours of your time that you spent making this money - good luck though we are still taking the whole charge even though it was our mess up". Gross. Do better.

We had a problem with our daughter s car. We were afraid it was the transmission. Took it to Brian and he drove it and recognized the problem right away. Thank goodness not the transmission. He was able to install two new front end bearings right away which alleviated the problem. My daughter uses the car for her business and needed the car. So it was a great relief. Good service. Friendly people. Would highly recommend them.Service: Steering & suspension repair

They had a problem properly diagnosing the problem with my A/C system but had no problem throwing parts at it and charging me for it. I was told that they were pretty sure it was the AC switch but It didn t change a thing. I now have a car in the same condition I dropped it off in but my wallets lighter. Not a good feeling. I was planning on taking our classic Oldsmobile 442 to them but the search for a good mechanic still continues. They may do a good job for you but just be aware.Service: A/C installation & repair

Only shop in Gig Harbor that is willing to look at Tesla cars. Great & friendly staff. Currently in the process of having them fix a problem with my suspension on my Tesla. As of right now, no complaints.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I had a car emergency and my vehicle was down in the harbor. I called Parkers and they were willing to squeeze me in to evaluate my vehicle. Brian came right over, he was friendly and professional. After diagnosing, he drove up the hill to NAPA for parts, came back promptly and replaced. My vehicle was good to go. First class service, came through in the clutch. I've never had a better experience with an auto shop. My mother-in-law referred me to this shop as she has come here in the past, and I'm so thankful she did. Both times my vehicle needed to be repaired, Brian was able to get it fixed and ready within 24 hours. He was able to help talk to me about my options and offer advice and expertise. He has always been available to speak to me on the phone to explain what work he was doing, and give me updates on estimated time of completion. Megan in the office was an absolute pleasure to speak with, always very caring, communicative, and professional. Would never go to another auto shop and don't know why anyone else would. Thank you guys!

This is a family owned business that really knows how to care for their customers and make you feel valued and welcome. The work done on my Honda pilot was quick and completed well. They gave me peace of mind with the work they did. They have very fair prices and know what they're doing. We'll be going back for our future needs!

This review is long, but it's worth the read if you're considering getting repairs done here.I called and made an appointment for 6/8 to have my A/C fixed. The plan was to drop it off then and get the repairs needed while I was on vacation and get my car back when I got back from vacation on 6/15. I received a call the evening of 6/11 telling me what was wrong and getting permission to fix the issues, as well as to pay 50% of the cost. I told them I had a warranty and wanted to check with my warranty to see if it was covered, as it was a nearly $1800 repair. The lady assured me that the warranty would not cover it, and she said Brian was sure of it. I didn't have the information to contact the warranty on hand, as I was out of town, so I trusted them and said to just go on ahead and do the work because I wanted my car back when I got home. I paid the 50%, and she said they would get to work on it. Fast forward to 6/16, the day AFTER I got home from vacation, I still hadn't heard anything from them. My husband called to check on my car. Turns out, they hadn't even started working on it. This was extremely frustrating since they were told when I made the appointment, as well on the the off sheet that I needed it back on 6/15. They had an ENTIRE WEEK to do the work. Anyways, since they hadn't done the work yet and we were home, we decided to check out the warranty paperwork and turns out my warranty did cover the services so on 6/16, we let Parkers know we actually wanted to use the warranty. They told us that they would contact them and begin work once they got the OK from the warranty company. The rest of the week goes by and we don't hear anything from Parkers. At the end of the week, we decided to call them again to follow up and they claimed they hadn't heard anything back from Alpha Warranty. Fast forward to the next week, we still hadn't heard anything from them. By the evening of 6/23, I was extremely frustrated due to not hearing any updates, so I decided to call Alpha Warranty myself. Turns out they had approved the warranty on 6/22, and Parkers never called to let us know. We called Parkers and they still hadn't begun working on my car but were told they had been busy and would be starting it the next day. Of course the next day goes by and we hadn't heard from them. On the morning of Friday 6/25, I called to see when my car would be done. Turns out they didn't even have the parts yet, so I had to go another weekend without my car as well. While on the phone, all I heard was excuses. It is absolutely inexcusable to have my car as long as they had it. Finally today, 6/29, after THREE WEEKS of them having my car, I finally got it back.While the A/C works, the customer service at Parkers is absolutely terrible. They do not communicate with you and fail to admit when they are in the wrong. I have used them in the past and thought highly of them, but after the service I have had and their lack of willingness to even make things right, I cannot recommend against them enough. This car is my way to work. My husband had to leave his own job each day to take me 20 minutes to and from work, while crossing the bridge each time. The amount of money they have cost us is insane and inexcusable. If you want your repairs done efficiently do NOT go here.Service: Air conditioning

I have been dealing with Parker's Service for years and have always been satisfied with the service. They get to the root of the issue and fix things right the first time. They make suggestions on things I may want to have done to my vehicle but always tell me it it is critical or if it can wait. I have never felt that I have been sold parts or services that I did not need. I have recommended Parker's Service to other friends and family members and will continue to do so in the future. Great service at reasonable prices.

These people are very friendly and honest to work with and have provided us with excellent service for years. From a transmission replacement on my truck, to solving anti skid problems, and most recently I have a newly purchased Prius that had a VSC light on steady. It took them only a few minutes to find the problem and re program the stability feature and I was one my way and the car has been running perfect ever since. Highly recommended.

The Owners, Brian and Jessica, are genuine people with great repair service and honesty.I locked myself out of my vehicle in the parking lot of the old Rexall Drug Store parking lot. I walked down and told Brian what I had done and he had me back in my vehicle within minutes. I was told by my dealership that I needed quite a lot of work on my vehicle and Brian said "No he was sure he had done that 2 years prior". I went through my receipts and yes he had. He fixed another vehicle in my immediate family and as always did a great job. Thanks Brian!

I have been a customer here for over ten years, the new owners are absolutely amazing people! very kind and very knowledgeable. My cars have always run so well under their care without burning a hole in my pocket. I would highly recommend them!

They book up, so call for an appointment. But they live up to their reputation for honesty and perhaps undercharging for the value they provide. I'm definitely going back next time I need service.
