If I could give more than 5 stars I would! all the mechanics are good dudes, and they love what they do, the work they do reflects that. Davey is kind, helpful, honest and more than reasonable. Ive been to quite a few shops in the area before I took my car to Winston s, the first time it was to fix what another shop had messed up and tried to charge me $800 to fix a part that didn t need to be replaced, Davey looked at my car for 5 minutes and fixed the sound I was hearing that same day seriously a 10/10 shop.

If you want honest and fair estimates, come to Winston s. Davey will be straight up with you and only do work on your vehicle that is necessary. I ve taken two vehicles that I own to this shop regularly and truly have nothing but great things to say about the service!Thank you guys for everything!

Davey is the most honest and trusting mechanic in the area. My whole family has been taking their cars to him for over a decade. I have recommended him to countless people. If you have a Honda or a Toyota even better. He has always made sure to go over things with me in a very thorough manner. He never suggests doing maintenance that is not necessary. Sometimes being a female its hard to know if someone is taking advantage of you and this is NOT the case with Winston's. I will never take any of our vehicles anywhere else!

Realistic estimates in regards to necessary work... does not upsale additional work not needed... Honesty, integrity and service makes this the best shop around in my opinion...

Davey and his team are always helpful and informative. They have serviced my vehicle a few times over the past couple of years and always do top notch work. Davey will go the extra mile and show you what s going on with your vehicle and talk you through the repair process. Can t recommend Winston Auto Repair enough!

And my car is 16 years old, so it's been plenty.One thing that sets Winston's apart from other auto repair shops is their honesty. They never try to sell me on unnecessary services or products, and always provide transparent and accurate feedback. I feel confident that I am receiving fair and honest recommendations when I bring my vehicle to them.As a woman, I have unfortunately experienced the lack of respect and professionalism that can be prevalent in the automotive industry. Davey was super accommodating and helpful. My repair was more expensive than I had hoped but they told me that up front. And Davey delivered my car back to me personally. Nice touch. :-)Update Sept 2023. Davey and John to the rescue once again. My daughter has recently started driving and so now Winston Auto has another customer. Amazing service! They were able to squeeze me in last minute and replace my front struts for a very affordable price in a timely manner! 10/10 will be coming back for any repairs I may need down the line!

I took my jeep in due to it shimmying when I would brake at times, I asked that they replace the brakes and rotors. After having it a few hours they called and said that my brakes still had about 60% life, so to change out anything would be a waste of my money and that the shimmying isn't a safety issue. When I picked up my car, they didn't charge me for anything... not even the time they took to diagnose! I will be using Winston's going forward, they are professional and honest. So happy to have found them!

I had made arrangements to drop car off. They called after looking at my car, Drivers power seat track had stopped working, they took a look found the problem. A part had come separate from power unit, they reattached it. Charge what I felt was a fair fee for one hour of labor! They had taken the seat off the floor to make the repairs. Called me when completed same day. Very happy as a new part would be hard to find and big money. Thanks for great job Service: Electrical repair

Davy is absolutely amazing. Was able to get my car fixed within the estimated time he gave me as my household shares 1 car, price is great, I feel confident in him and his team's work, and I always get cheered up seeing Davy always so pumped up. Have been here several times now and is my only mechanic going forward :)

I am not one for leaving a review for every single company I do business with - unless the customer service was exceptional and/or the product or work that I received was stellar. Winston Auto Service & Sales in Des Moines, WA checked both of these boxes! My 2015 Honda Civic LX needed the starter replaced and the prices that I was quoted (by other automotive businesses) were over-priced and obviously an attempt to take advantage of my situation. Winston Auto Service completed the work for less than half the cost of some of the quotes I received!!!! Since the work was completed, the car starts smoothly without any problem. The customer service I received from start to finish, was also wonderful. I will definitely come back again should any issues arise with either one of my cars.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I needed to get one of my cars that I use for medical courier service fixed ASAP but wasn't sure if it was the differential or the wheel bearing making the noise and issue. I brought it by at 8am, and the owner was very polite, and assuring that he would diagnose it and give me a call soon. That's exactly what he did. He gave me the price up front and had it fixed within the next hour or so.I picked it up by 2pm the samne day! The price was extremely reasonable. I the qoutes I got from other mechanic �s were 3x the price, and I would have to wait till late next week to get it fixed.The owner is very loyal to his customers, and a great person. Honest, up-front and really takes care of his customers. My family and I will only be coming here in the future for all our mechanical repairs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND COMMEND THE OWNER!

I had my battery replaced by one of those services that come to your home since I couldn t get it out of the drive. The mechanic told me the brakes were at the end of their life. Having normally taken my old car to Davey at Winston I called and asked him to take a look. Turns out the front brakes still have 80% left and the rear have 70%! And he didn t charge me a penny to tell me that! This is why you always take your car to a mechanic you trust and I trust Davey.Service: Brakes

Davy was highly recommended to me by others and I can see why. He is very personable and professional, provided great service at a great price, and got me out and done in lickety split. He is there pretty much by himself but still makes time to answer phones and return phone calls. I am recommending him to all my friends and will come back here if I ever need to (but hopefully I won t as I want my car to run forever lol) anyways 5 stars service!!

My Mom Elizabeth Duell took her 88 Honda in for repairs and they did a fantastic job. The car runs like a top and the engine bay is all cleaned up it looks like a whole new car. Those of you who know Davy, no more needs said. Those of you who don't...his skill, expertise, community support are over the top.Davy and his team are very thorough AND nice. He will diagnose and repair at very very reasonable costs.My personal and shop vehicles all go to his shop... unfortunately Davy is not allowed to retire! HA!!!

I have been taking my cars here for 10+ years and I trust this place fully. Davey will take me back to see my car and actually show me what the problem is and teach me about it. They have performed multiple pre-buy inspections for me at no cost since I am a long time customer. You can trust Winston with your car!

Winston Auto Repair is a rare find. An excellent mechanic/owner, fair, honest and a great guy.The handle of our oil dipstick broke off, and we couldn't get it out, so we needed help. The reviews on line for Winston's were great, and when we called, the owner offered to take a look right away. He spent at least a half hour working on it and fixed the problem. He declined to take any payment. Extraordinary! We will never go to another mechanic again. He said he helped people in a jam, because he wanted to give mechanics a better name.How about that!

I can't say enough wonderful things about these guys! They have gone above and beyond for me and my vehicle. I honestly would be s*#"t outta luck if not for them ! I brought in a car I was still paying for from Carcraft auto sales in Lynnwood( don't ever buy from them, they are ripp offs) that had the completely wrong engine in it! It had problem after problem after problem . Anyone else would've washed their hands of it as soon as they found out it was the wrong engine but not these guys ! They stuck with me and that car ! Believe it or not my car , with the wrong engine in it is running just fine! Needless to say I love these guys they are amazing mechanics and amazing people!

I have got to Winston Auto for a few different issues. We have a '99 ford ranger. The price was always fair. And the quality of work is only outmatched by GREAT customer service and friendly environment. I would recommend Winston Auto to anyone because they are very fair and never try to sell anything you don't need! Thank you Winston!

I just had a great experience and how often can you say that about a mechanic's shop?! Took my Rav4 in for 100000 mile check up, and he said it all looked great and just charged me for the LOF. My little car is happy, and so am I!

I am glad I trusted Winston's to take care of my car. My truck overheated on the way home from work and I had found one of my radiator hoses had broke. That was no big deal, went to an auto parts store and replaced it on the side of the road. But when I filled up to radiator with coolant and it was still overheating, I started to worry. Thinking that my water pump was bad, I limped it along to Winston's. They were just about to close on a Friday and they were able to squeeze me into an already overbooked day on Saturday. Turns out that I just didn't get enough coolant back in, and they gave me a tip on filling it in a way that I wouldn't have that problem in the future. They are that old time company that has service with a smile. They had a great attitude and helped me out in a tight spot with a great price.
