I was very pleasantly surprised by this Holiday Inn in Cheney WA. It was super clean, nice rooms, comfortable beds, and the breakfast was decent enough. It was closely located to everything. We will definitely stay here again.Rooms: Very clean big rooms. Comfortable beds.

Pros: clean room, good breakfastCons: don t let customer service tell you they can allow you to check in early and then show up expecting them to honor it. Ended up leaving myself and family without anywhere to go basically in the pooring rain because they have no real lobby waiting area. Also the pool was filthy, pics speak for themselves. Weekend manager staff was a bit rude but I m kinda numb to it at this point.

This hotel is a real gem. It is conveniently located in a reasonably safe area a couple miles off the freeway. Parking was plentiful. The room was spacious, well appointed, comfortable and clean. We didn t interact much with staff, but those we had were pleasant.The included breakfast was an excellent value-add. They had eggs, sausage, pancakes, as well as the usual continental breakfast items.We d absolutely stay here again.

Decent hotel, around 4 stars, but...They didn't attach my member number to the reservation, and when I called back afterwards to get it put in, they said they could no longer do that.Other hotels can usually give you reward points after the stay (usually for several months after) so I'm not giving Holiday Inn Express much slack.

**edit**All of my previous review stands. However, life experiences have changed and we now have a family member in a wheelchair. Their "accessible" rooms may be compliant with ADA but they aren't truly accessible. Putting a couple of support bars in the bathroom and a shower seat doesn't make it truly accessible. These rooms aren't large enough to maneuver a wheelchair around the room and there's carpet on the floor which is also difficult to navigate. Really liked staying here before but will reconsider in the future.Perfect for our family. Great breakfast and clean pool. Excellent customer service with a phone call the day before check in to ask us what floor we'd like to be on as well as remind us that the hot tub was out of service. Already booked our next stay!

Our room was gross. We were only there for 2 nights and had a busy schedule so we made it work, but the bathroom was definitely not clean. With all the great reviews, I was really disappointed to see rings in the sink, rings in the toilet bowl, someone else's hair in the shower, mold and yeast on the wall and the soap dish in the shower. The breakfast was fine- standard holiday inn express fare. The staff was pretty bad at communicating- we called twice before we came to let them know we'd be checking in a day later than planned (originally booked 3 nights, ended up only staying for 2) and when we arrived they had no notes about the change. Thankfully the hotel wasn't full so they were able to find us a room, but if they had been fully booked I have no doubt they would have given away our room in spite of our clear communication.

It was good and quiet even for a busy weekend.We requested a king bed and got 2 doubles but it wasn't really a big deal.They rooms were clean but could use a deep clean.

We were visiting Cheney Washington from Colorado for a sad occasion and had to accommodate a lot of family. This location was an amazing experience. Only a few minutes to where we were going. We were met with a smile by Waverly. She was so helpful in booking our rooms as well as helping us make amendments as needed for family. And when we got a flat tire, she suggested a good place to go for repairs. The rooms were neat and clean and the choice of pillows was nice. Breakfast was amazing a hot breakfast bar not just a simple continental breakfast. Susan met us with a smile first thing in the morning while tending to the kitchen and refilling buffet items. It was a really great experience for a very difficult time. Thank you so much!

Excellent stay! Check in with an efficient, friendly fellow. Quick and informative with complimentary bottles of water as reward members. The room was perfectly clean-and I am picky. The bathroom was equipped with all the goods in pump bottles as usual. That includes in the shower: liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner. On the bathroom wall by the sink area: liquid hand soap and lotion. Thank you! Always nice not to have to pack all these things. And my favorite things in the whole room??? 1) Black out shades. They are amazing and I sleep better here than anywhere else in the world. 2) Firm and comfy King bed. Just the best. 3) Choice of pillows, soft or firm. If you look at the edge of each pillow it will tell you what type it is. I prefer firm, hubby prefers soft. They have just what we both want. This property in particular is very well run and kept up. I will definitely stay here again. Go Eagles!

The service, room, and occasion was great. I cannot talk about the pool and hot tub. Comfortable beds, room was spacious for a double queen.The breakfast buffet was good, crowded room, the tables were emptying faster than the staff could clean them. The staff were working as fast as they could; refilling food trays, coffee and hot water urns, and cleaning tables.

Chose this location on my cross country road trip because it was $100 cheaper than staying in Spokane. Room was really small but clean. There was a girls basketball team staying at the hotel which made for a very loud stay. Doors were being slammed at all hours throughout the night. At one point I woke up to shouting outside at 1am. 2 guys were standing outside by the lobby, smoking, free style rapping, yelling at other people in the parking lot and laughing like they were getting paid to. Front desk didn't seem to care.

Amazing hotel! Hot tub was great pool was great. Gym was very nice. The breakfast served every morning was fantastic! Nice and hot and fresh each morning. The staff was awesome and always so kind and helpful. If you go to Cheney wa and looking for a place to stay this is perfect!

This hotel has recently gone way down in service. Since the new management took over the staff is way less friendly and attentive. Our las two visits have been very underwhelming. We used to stay here monthly, they knew us by name and were always so happy to see us. They had a great return customer rewards program. They changed all of that in the last 6 months or so and recently after our last visit where I tried to speak to the manager on 3 seperate occassions and could not get a response we have decided to stay at another hotel in Spokane. Also their spa has been broken for over 2 months. It's too bad, we used to love stayig at this hotel in Cheney and I recommended it to family and friends but I would no longer recommend it.

Great staff. Pleasant on the phone and really nice and helpful in person. They make you feel like they are happy to have you. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were the best. Very nice interior design, I love the soft lights in the headboard. They have a good variety of snacks and sodas at the front. Only thing missing was chocolate milk at breakfast. There is also a super cute coffee shop in the parking lot with great flavored coffee.

Stayed here at The Holiday Inn Express in Cheney May 11-14 2023. Visiting friends and family in Spokane, Kendrick, Idaho and in Cheney. Always a great, comfortable stay while I can visit many friends. I will be back the end of July, the first weekend in August and again in September!

Beautiful hotel! The rooms were excellent and very clean. Love the bathroom, I wanted to take the shower home with me. I really enjoyed the breakfast. That sweet woman showed me my options, pointed things out and was just so friendly. Holiday Inns out here are very consistently well designed and functional.

Kimmie made sure our stay was excellent, very clean room, we had a wonderful time. She was super sweet, and made sure everything was to our liking during our stay! We couldn t have asked for a better house keeper! Anytime we needed anything she was sure to bring it VERY quickly! I don t think this place would be the same without this sweet girl!

This is the second Holiday Inn Express we've stayed at, and, while we really liked the one in Bellingham, we were even more impressed with this one. Granted, some of this may be attributable to being newer (and we're not "fancy/expensive" people when it comes to hotel stays), but this place has a luxurious feel to it. The room is beautifully furnished and appointed with comfortable beds, a mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig, safe, and stately bathroom. Even the quality of "smaller" (not so small to us) items like modern heater/AC/thermostat system and uber light-blocking shades were the best we've seen. Add in a large, visible, friendly, and helpful staff in all facets (custodial, housekeeping, front desk and management), an excellent/tasty continental breakfast system, and convenient location within Cheney (particularly for EWU families like ours) and we couldn't have been more pleased!

This is my second time staying here in Cheney and it has been consistently great. It is very welcoming, warm and has small town touches that are endearing to where it is located.Breakfast is great, all the staff are professional and pleasant. The rooms and common areas are clean and warm.

This hotels employment office is garbage. They offered a full time job to my friend and she spent money so she could accommodate to their policies. After offering the job they proceeded to not contact her whatsoever whilst she adamantly called them (over 5 times) until eventually they answered and told her they weren t giving her the job. This was over the course of a few days. So my friend left them a one star review, and the manager called her and told her to take her review down. That is stupid. Not good at all.

Very cozy, comfortable beds. We came in late and used the hot tub. Hot tub and pool area were very clean, and water temperature was perfect. I love hotels with bath tubs. After being on the road for 9 hours a nice hot bath felt amazing. Would definitely come back again!
