Visited this dealership with straightforward expectations and a no-haggle approach, hoping for a smooth transaction. Unfortunately, while some promises were kept, others were not, leading to a longer-than-expected process. While the staff was generally polite, the overall experience was average, reflecting the typical frustrations of car buying. Not the worst, but far from the best. An epitome of the standard car dealership experience. Stay tuned for a modification of this review based on the performance of the service department.

Talked to these people but went to Hyundai of Everett as I had bought two new cars from them. I wanted to trade my 2018 Dodge Challenger on a more economical car. They said they would give me $28,000 for my Challenger. I got a new Sonata and got a $7500 check. Best thing is I bought the Challenger from Hertz with 15,000 miles on it for $20,000.

I went into this store looking into a lease for the first time in September. I was told that with the rebates that were available, if I leased the vehicle and realized I didn't need it in a few months, they would buy out the lease and we could even make a profit. Fast forward five months, I confirmed I didn't need the lease anymore so I went in to see about terminating. First of all, the people there were asking me all the details about the vehicle, and I'm like didn't you just lease me this a few months ago? Why don't you have the details? Then they came back and basically said the car was only worth $30K now, which is lower than the buy out value in 3 years, and so I'd basically have to buy out the whole lease to get out of it. I will not go to this store again.

want to give a huge shout out to Joe and his amazing customer service!! He IS a very patient and thoughtful and no pressure sales man which you don't see to many of these days. It took me 3 days in a row of coming back for me to decide to sign papers on the cx-9 I really wanted. He was patient with me as I never got the feeling he was put out by that. He had hospitality to help keep my kids entertained during this process. I was able to think for as long as I wanted without being pushed or persuaded. Huge praises for this dealership!

Kept asking for numbers for a vehicle I am interested in purchasing have yet to see them even though my credit was hard pulled .. at this point im pretty much ghosted.. noel was just not very helpful.. after we drove the car we found out the panoramic roof was broken , when we told him he told us we didnt know how to use it. I made him get in it and prove we were wrong turns out we werent... While they offered to fix it and some other stuff ive yet to receive those numbers on the vehicle. Called jerry smith Chevrolet which has the same vehicle advertised they were able to give me numbers within 30 mins.. just all in all an unprofessional bad experience thus far which sucks, because we really were interested in purchasing said car from there

Wow. Smith Kia is great, but this branch is amazing. They have always been ready to help me. They seem to have more availability in service appointments, The staff there is so friendly. The place was very clean and the bathrooms smell great, which isn't very common in a lot of automotive industry establishments. It kind of reminded me of the Lemay Museum? Vance was incredible. He's very personable and kind. We had a lot to talk about and he took interest in the things I had to say. You know the "sleazy car salesman" stereotype, Vance is none of that. He had great vibes, good energy, and was engaging. He talked to me about hiking, motorcycles(specifically ruckuses), music, puppies, and the Gambler 500. He's a pretty dang cool guy and it was exciting to see him light up talking about his family and his adventures. He made the process so much pre enjoyable. He took me seriously, he didn't make me feel like I was dumb, he even complemented my credit and the effort I've put into my financial success. I tried to trade my car once to Bellingham Smith Kia and it felt like they did not take me seriously for a second, but Vance took the time and energy to entertain me and talk to me like a real person and I'm glad I chose to try Smith Kia in Burlington. He redeemed J.Smith Kia.

Came here after experiencing mark ups, dishonesty, and other typical car buying experiences. David and the team at Jerry Smith Kia were amazing from start to finish. They had the car ready for me when I pulled up, let us take a test drive independently, and made the negotiation and buying process easy to understand and get through. I also received a follow up call to make sure everything with the car was good and that I was satisfied with my purchase. I would recommend this dealer and our salesman David to anyone! It was worth the drive from Olympia!

I had to take my daughters car in to have an engine replaced. Avery and her team in the service department made a potentially horrible experience into probably the best experience I have ever had dealing with a dealership service department. She not only kept me in the loop as to what was going on but also had the car back on the road with a new engine within a few days. I cannot express how pleased I was with their exceptional professionalism and customer care. Thank you for being so great.

Dave and the entire team were absolutely outstanding. My family and I drove up from Thurston County last weekend after a terrible experience at a different dealership. There was no pressure at any time. Dave was extremely personable, compassionate, and understanding. As a first time buyer, I felt super comfortable the entire time. Dave made sure I got insurance, and stayed late to help me get on the road. Highly recommend this dealership, and it was well worth the drive. When the time comes to buy again, it s well worth it to me to come back.

Absolutely love this Team of People! Noel is an exceptional salesman who we ve purchased 3 cars from now to the service department who have on-time changes while I wait!We go back because this is definitely a Hassle-Free experience! All other dealerships make you feel as if you must make OZ Behind the Curtain HaPpY! I ve had my Kia for many years and love it no problem there. Sales was very helpful to me when I got my Sportage back in 2017.The service department however horrible. This is not my first issue with them but this is the biggest. My motor went out the day before the 4th of July (a recall issue) and immediately we got it into the service department to be seen as they had time. I understand that there s lots of other people having the same issue and they ve been backed up with work.We were told different timelines over and over again through July and August and finally we were told it would go in the 7th of this month (September) after being told multiple other dates.My husband drives by everyday to work and yet my Sportage is in the same spot it s been since July not in the shop. Our calls are ignored and never returned (this has been going on for weeks now after they told us it d go in on the 7th last month we never heard another word) and there s no one to help me get a loaner car.While we managed to get through in the beginning, they would take our message to report to whoever is in charge of these things and that person NEVER returned a single call. Now they just ignore us all together.They ve had my car for months and even if things were backed up, I wish they would communicate that to me instead of ignoring me about a problem I did nothing to cause. This recall is Kia s mistake, not my own. I m tired of not being able to drive and struggling to get to work every day and wish I could have an honest timeline at the very least. A loaner would be even better but I don t see that happening since they can t call me back. This entire situation is causing problems with my job and I can t afford to lose it. They should be helpful while fixing this mistake and this entire experience has been awful. I need my car back or to be given a loaner since they seem to be planning on keeping my car forever.

Highly recommend this team and Noel in particular! Noel worked with us consistently for a few weeks while we waited for the right car to become available. We really appreciated being able to do all our negotiating over phone/text so that everything could move super smoothly when we came into the dealership.

Second time receiving service here and both times have been absolutely AMAZING! Warning: If you buy a car from them, DON'T EXPECT THEM TO HONOR ANY WARRANTIES should something go wrong with your car. Their service department has gone way down hill since the first time I bought a car from them. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I would highly recommend JSK..Ryan is amazing and so not pushy at all. We are happy...our first brand new car and Ryan and the finaciers made it possible! The man who did our paperwork was great too! We were there what felt like all day, but an all around wonderful experience!

Went in because we got a flyer stating at the very least we d won a $25 preloaded gift card. We are genuinely interested in a new vehicle and thought why not go see? We spoke to the car salesperson, and we were offered a car at $8000 above MSRP. We said no thanks and found out that the $25 preloaded gift card is credit for the Service Department at the dealership. This marketing technique to get us in worked, but I m afraid it backfired. We won t be going back to this dealership when we do make the decision to purchase. In our minds it s a complete bait and switch. This may work for some people, but for us it was very off putting.

This dealership has very unethical advertising practices. They send out misleading flyers for a Walmart Gift Card Giveaway that has a winning scratch off number for a cash prize. Of course, the fine print then states this isn t actually the case and you have to go into the dealership for a drawing. A complete scam designed to get people into the dealership. I wouldn t recommend giving your business to a place like this.

The service I have received at Jerry Smith Kia has been simply amazing. Recently they went way above and beyond to get me on the road for a trip. I so very much appreciate that, not only did they find the part, do the service but also the contact by their staff was just incredible. They kept me informed every step of the way. Worst. Experience. Ever. I bought a new 2022 Kia Sorrento here. It is an absolute lemon. They do nothing to make it right. I just got my car back for a warranty issue after 6 months in their shop! I asked about the lemon law and they were very unhelpful. They Gave me a one 800 number- I called and was on the phone literally for two hours with no response. I told them I wanted to get out of this car. They offered to buy it back For like $12,000 less than I paid for it.I have owned my car for 9 months and have only been able to drive it for 2 1/2. They have Very little communication. I Called and left messages Many times and was just ghosted. I have purchased dozens and dozens of cars in my life personally, and for my business, and I have never had anything close to this experience. Do yourself a HUGE favor and go somewhere else.** update, just got in the car and the check engine Light is on, and it smells like burning oil, ughCheck my other reviews and you will see a one star rating is very rare for me. So it has to be pretty bad for me to give a one star.

Been trying to start a warranty claim for over 2 months with no progress other than "we can't prove it wasn't caused by you". They've basically ghosted me, will never answer my calls or return them, and really just wasted hours of my time and got me nowhere in my effort to get my car fixed. They had me drive there (40 minutes away) to just take a picture, only to forget said picture 2 weeks later and have me send them one when I called them back (after hearing nothing for 2 weeks). I have a 100% valid warranty claim and this is the worst experience I've ever had.Dealership: if you're seeing this, you can see my name. I'm in your system. 2020 Kia Niro.Update: got a call back over two weeks later again saying my claim was denied. Called Kia, they said dealership inspected it and the broken button looks to be scratched and caused by me even though I clearly stated nobody even touched the button and it's fully cracked. However, the dealership forgot they even looked at my car because I had to send a picture to them myself.

The staff at Jerry Smith is truly unmatched. We went in over Labor Day weekend and worked with Joe Carson. Took a few days to think things over and in the mean time Joe stayed in contact to answer any questions or concerns we had without being pushy and suffocating. So kind, so personable and open to negotiating the price of the vehicle I fell in love with down to a more manageable amount. Financing worked their magic and got us in below where we wanted to be for monthly payments with a great interest rate and got us an additional rebate to boot. Everyone was such a joy to work with and I cannot recommend them enough!

A 1 star rating is too good for Jerry Smith Kia of Burlington. I told the sales rep that I would not qualify for a new car. Backing up my statement to the call I made on Wednesday. However the sales rep ignored me and lied to me too. I did some basic research and Hyundais and Kias are vulnerable to theft. Kias made between 2010 and 2021 are popular with criminals. According to my research, as of May 9, 2023 the "fix" Kia has created is not working. The sales rep was only concerned about a sale. His insistence on seeing if I qualified caused a hurt on my credit. Never will I ever set foot in a Kia Dealership again. Tearing up the useless service "gift" card.

We were fortunate enough to meet and work with Vance and our experience was 10/10! From the moment we started walking around the lot, Vance was helping me navigate through what exactly I need/want in a vehicle. After only a few minutes of walking the lot, we went inside to look at a particular car he had in mind that was located at another Kia dealership. The second he pulled up the car, I was sold. Vance intently listened to everything I said and quickly (and accurately) figured out what car best suited my needs. Vance is friendly, honest, and knowledgeable what more could you ask for in a salesman?! I would recommend him to anyone I know! Thank you, Vance for helping me find the perfect car!!!

I appreciate the effort made by the Smith Kia staff to improve the dealership s credibility and reputation. My experience was mostly positive the moment I walked through the door. Team members were kind and curious. This is a drastic level up from my previous visits. I never felt like I was being rushed or wasting staff member time.The only negative was the cleanliness of the Men s restroom. It could have been cleaner.

My driver side window became stuck in the down position this morning. It's still under warranty and I called the Burlington dealership to get my 2017 Kia in for service. The person who answered the phone said the first available appointment would be October 1st. So, I asked to speak to someone in management. She sent me over to Scott in the service department who just mimicked what the first person stated and wasn't willing to consider any other options to help get the window up prior to the October 1st scheduled service appointment.Update: Since speaking with Scott, who definitely should not be in a customer service position due to his snarky personality and lack of understanding how to provide solutions, Andy the Service Manager was in contact with us regarding the down window. He quickly assured us it was a top priority to at least get the window in the up position. Was able to take the car in this morning and have the window raised. Will go back to have the motor replaced once the ordered part arrives.Hats off to Andy in finding the time to get the car in as the priority it should have been when speaking with Scott. The customer service and follow up since has been excellent. Thank you, Andy!

I had a good experience driving up from Seattle to buy a new electric vehicle. Joe was a pleasure to work with. After some quick and honest negotiations by phone we arrived at a good price, he made it a quick and easy from there and I was driving home in my new var a few hours later!

This was the easiest car buying experience that I have ever had! Vance listened to what I needed to have in my new-to-me vehicle, and delivered EXACTLY what I had asked for. As a matter of fact, he took the time to check the inventory of the entire company and found me the same model with half of the miles of the one that I was originally looking at! Who does that? Talk about customer service! I will be buying my next car from Vance and Jerry Smith!
