Long was very helpful with replacing my clutch and prices were better than other places I checked. He also was very honest about everything he did and wanted to show me everything before he performed any additional maintenance. He noticed my brakes and rotors needed replacement when he took the front wheels off and gave me a very good deal. I respect a mechanic s time and will pay for it, but I also appreciate one who doesn t price gouge. Even though it s a bit of a drive for me, I definitely will come back to him for repairs on both my car and my wife s car.Service: Transmission

Long is the single most reliable and reasonable mechanic I have ever met. He is honest about the cost of everything and refuses to overcharge the customer. I've been going to him for almost 3 years now for my 98 crv and every interaction is filled with information on what needs to be done and what could be gotten away with for a bit longer with the thought of the customers pocket in mind. He replaced my entire engine last Christmas and when it was having some issues, almost at warranty expiration date, he fixed them free of charge and then went above and beyond and did a full tune up. Long is my life mechanic. I highly highly suggest him over any other mechanic out there. You won't be put through the wringer with him.

I had visited yesterday to have my front brake pads of my lexus changed Lexus of Bellevue quoted me $700 to have them replaced insane! Luckily, I came across this auto shop. He gave me the most reasonable prices compared to other shops I have called. He finished in less than an hour! Talk about being fast and efficient! Tran Auto repair will definitely be my go-to place from here on out.Service: Brakes

I really hate leaving this review since it will be harder to get my car repaired if Tran's gets flooded with business. I have only been to Tran's once but everything about the business is 5 star from the customer service to the repairs. I felt like I was talking to a friend who was a mechanic. There was no upsell and Long worked with me to determine what routine maintenance would be best based on the mileage of my car. I ended up getting a valve adjustment, timing belt, water pump replacement and a transmission fluid change on my 2000 Honda Civic with 80k miles. The total cost was extremely competitive and it was obvious Long was invested in my satisfaction. I had to call ahead to schedule an appointment about 1 week out but that's the way it goes when you are dealing with a popular and well-run business. I have had a hard time finding an honest, cost effective mechanic up until now. I will be back. Highly recommend

The most friendly and honest mechanic in town that I've ever known. My car made rattling sound out of nowhere and was diagnosed to have defective AC compressor by some other mechanics, which would cost around $800 to fix. I came to Tran hoping for a cheaper price. The truth was that the engine oil was too low that somehow caused the problem. All I need was a $20 oil refill and it has been running fine since then. I been referring everyone i know to this shop and they all saved a lot of money because Tran always suggests the cheapest yet best solution for them.

I hesitated to take my car to Tran Auto Repair after seeing the first review with a score of 0. I took a chance, and I am so happy I did. Best experience ever. My car did not pass inspection. Another place asked for $150. Still a different place did plenty of work, at decent price, and did not clear up the CO scores. So I brought the car to Long at Tran Auto Repair. Within a minute, Long identified a break in a hose, which he fixed in just a few more minutes. Car passed inspection on the third trial, thanks to Long's first attempt. Then, I asked Long about another problem that another shop said it would be quite expensive to fix, related to the transmission. Without even looking, Long asked me about 3 other related symptoms, because Long suspected the malfunction of a switch with 4 functions. He was right on, then he gave me the choice between a new part and a used one at great discount. Long is amazingly competent, courteous, and reasonable in cost. This is going to be the shop for all my cars now.

Great mechanic. He knows his stuff without a doubt. He was quicker than he estimated. The best part about him is his business ethics. He even laid the old valve cover gasket on then ground to show us. To me this shows a lot about his character. He charges a lot less then the big names and does the same quality work as them. Other places wanted upwards of $200 while he charged half of that cost. I would recommend him to anyone.

I am a recent college graduate from WSU and I was just so happy that I was able to connect with this mechanic. I went in with no appointment and he immediately knew it was a water pump issue. He was able to work on it in that moment and fixed it within 3 hours. I appreciated him and couldn't thank him enough. It's fixed and I will 10 out of 10 come back again! I have one more issue that I plan on coming in for and I feel confident about this place. Great fixes at a REASONABLE price for sure.

Mr. Tran works by himself and had shared that he likes it that way so he can have a good handle on quality control. My oil change experience here was a positive one and would definitely return.

Sadly as someone that's newly disabled, I didn't get a chance to drive the car after about $3,000 worth of work to my exhaust system. I tried driving the car about 3 months after getting it fixed and there is now exhaust coming through my passenger air vents. Very dangerous. So I wasted my money because to fix now is another 2-3k. This was my Dad's last car that he passed down to me :( Sorry Dad

Poor service. Tried to pay for a jump. Car was about 200 ft. away. Only solution was to sell me a battery for $168. I just put an alternator in my wife's car. She's in her 8 1/2 months pregnate. Good looking out.
