You can't beat the conscientiousness of a locally owned shop and the guys at Westview take their work very seriously. We've been taking our cars to them for many years and have never been disappointed. They take pride in their work and I'm convinced that they can fix anything. I've thrown easy and extremely challenging issues their way and they've correctly diagnosed and repaired them all. They are a very busy shop so be patient if something needs a little more time - it's worth the wait. Their prices are very fair as well. Great work, Westview! Y'all are awesome.

Took friend to have a check engine light code assessed & was told since the exhaust leak was very small, it should be ok to hold off on the repair for now. We were grateful for the honest opinion given & thanked the service manager/owner.

I've been a Westview Auto customer for over 15 years. The folks there have always treated me with care and respect. They're people of faith, fair and honest. Whenever I need auto repair work, I bring my vehicles to Westview. My husband and I are so pleased with West View Auto. I d been having an issue with my Ford Fusion, off and on for almost a year. Had already taken it to the dealership TWICE, but since they couldn t replicate what it had been doing for me, they couldn t fix anything. What a waste of my time!Well, Not even an hour at WestView, and their experienced mechanic found what was causing the issue. They completed this repair, along with an oil change and state inspection we were having done . All in less than 3 hours. And their fees were very reasonable. We will most definitely be going back to WestView for any future auto repairs/service.

We are VERY thankful for the integrity of this business. We took our car to another business near our home for our state inspection. When my husband got a phone call letting him know what was found we were SHOCKED that there was a $4000 quote of things that needed to be done to pass inspection. Yes, it is a 20 year old car, but we have kept up with maintenance. We decided to get a second opinion on the state inspection and brought it to West View Auto. We gave him the list of things from the other business that was quoted to us. West View looked over our car and found only TWO things out of the HUGE list we were given that need to be fixed. He quoted us $230, but when we got there our bill was $190!! He informed me that the other business would have charged us $1100 for what he did based on the quote sheet we were given. We are thankful that friends recommended West View to us and there are still honest people out there who don t take advantage of you!

I came to them through Facebook suggestions. I was originally quoted $758 through a different garage for the replacement of my power steering pump. The original garage also told me my brakes and rotors needed replacement, and quoted me $800+.When I asked for a quote from West View, for the power steering pump, it was $240 less, so I went ahead and scheduled. Soon after dropping the car off, the kind folk of West View called me to tell me that the power steering pump was fine. They also looked at my brakes and rotors and informed me those, too, had some time left in them.I paid them $37 dollars for tightening my alternator belt. Best money I've ever spent. They have a loyal customer in me.

Simply put I don't take my vehicles anywhere else for mechanical reviews or maintenance. West View is the best in the business. they are always honest, told me I could save money replacing the rotors myself since I know want I'm doing. That's a trustworthy mechanic.

Van and Kenny and the mechanics have been taking care of our cars for 20+ years. They are always friendly, honest and fair in their pricing. Several times we have had to have cars towed to them and they work us into the schedule, no matter how busy they are. Highly recommend.

This is hands down the best auto shop I've ever dealt with. My husband and I have been bringing our cars here for 8 years now and have had zero issues, only good experiences. Kenny is friendly, knowledgeable and honest - a rare gem in the auto mechanic world. Their prices are fair and they do good work. We always take our cars here for inspections because we know they'll only flag the car if there's actually a problem. This is a very busy shop but it's worth it to bring your car here.

My entire family has been going here for ages with probably 10 different cars over the years all make and models and ages of cars. they have always helped us out, if they cant do it they ll send you to a good place that can. No frills. Real, honest group of folks. They were also understanding of needing to prioritize things, so if your car needs 5 repairs and you can afford 2 they ll tell you look this one you probably have time on and its not a safety issue, but this other one you really need to have done today and such like. They re also across from dunkin donuts so thats nice to walk to for longer waits.Unlike other places, Ive never had to take my car back because they didn t fix it right or forgot a cap or whatever. Its a small operation so it may take some time, only downside.

I went to get my 45000 mile maintenance. They have fair prices and the service is nice and pretty quick. You have to make an appointment bc they stay busy.

I have been taking my car there for about 5 years now for regular tune ups and repairs. They are always very honest and beat the competition price wise most of the time. Once another business told me I needed to have certain repairs done and Westview told me I could stand to wait. I appreciated that they were frank about needing the repair, but gave me a more accurate timeline.They are often very busy, because they are well trusted. If you know you need repairs don't wait until the last minute. The guys try to work with you to fit you in, but you also have to be patient. To me their friendly, relational, reliable service is worth the wait.

I stopped by for October 27, 2016 to verify the noise coming from the rear of my car. When I walked in I was greeted by the nicest guys you could ask for. They let me ramble about what I was hearing. The gentleman took my car to check it out and verified that it was the strut. The guy at the front joked with me about singing or turning up my radio loud to avoid hearing the noise. They assured me that it was nothing wrong and to keep on driving. No charge just a Thank you. Very honest and trustworthy. The great reviews are 100 accurate. Please go there.

I have nothing but the best to say about Westview. They're in-depth knowledge, friendly service, and all around quality work puts them at the top of their trade. They know just about everyone who walks through the door and if they don't know ya, they will! These guys are great and are great at what they do. They really make you feel like family, you feel like you are well taken care of. It's not all about the money. I'll always come back.

Honest and helpful! I was on a road trip from central New York and my brake caliper started coming off. I tried tightening the bolt and had them check everything out and tighten it. Not only did I get a great chat, they tightened up my bolts quick the same day and had me on the road safe again.Thanks for easing my mind on vacation m80s. Wish more people were this friendly!

I've been going here for nearly 14 years now. They are fantastic. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Virgina Beach for any reason. When my car was towed there overnight after a sever accident, they recognized it and called to check on me the that morning. This a great place, run by great people.

Kind and caring staff that are genuine, trasparent, and kind. They explain the work that they are going to do on your car and do not charge expensive prices. The best mechanic I have been to in the area!

My husband and I started bringing our cars here last year following recommendations from a friend that Westview staff were trustworthy. We got to test the mettle of this statement when a wheel bearing we'd had Westview replace in October suddenly failed us. Although the manufacturer only warrantied the part for 90 days, Westview stood by their service and their product and not only replaced the wheel bearing for us at no cost for the part, but they also didn't charge us for the labor (significant savings to us). To top it off, they had it all taken care of the same day that we reported the problem to them and didn't even make us feel like an inconvenience. Great customer service, folks! We appreciate having reliable, honest mechanics in the area. We will continue to send business your way.

The men are super funny and nice, very sweet and smiling. They always do their best to take care of us whenever we need them. I wanna buy them a bigger lot, they deserve it! Honest and they don't try to do work your car doesn't need. Def give them a try.

The staff at West View are the friendliest people in Kempsville and offer the best service for my money. In 11 years of doing business with them (through a half-dozen cars), I've never felt like any of the advice or service they gave us was anything less than the best.

I've heard a lot of good things about Westview, but did not have a similar experience. After my engine was stalling out, I called them to explain the issue, and had it towed there. I didn't hear from them in two days, so I called them and was told it was fixed, but that I would have to call back later if I wanted to know what they did. When I went in to pick up my car, I found out that they simply replaced the battery and hadn't even looked at the engine. When I tried driving away, my car stalled out again. They called the next day and told me they replaced a sensor, but when I asked how much it would cost, I was told they still had to "figure it out". $400 later, I had a new sensor that fixed the stalling out, and a new battery that I still don't think I needed. Never going there again.

Great place filled with knowledgeable staff. Kenny Oakey is the manager and has been for a while and always tries to work around needed schedules. I trust this shop to work on all the vehicles my family and I own and the rate is very affordable.
