My family and I were on vacation south of Virginia Beach (and 4 hours from home) when the malfunction indicator lamp on our 2012 Honda Odyssey started flashing. I knew I didn't want to have it towed to a dealer so I searched reviews on the internet and found Tidewater Import Car Service. The reviews were accurate - this is a knowledgeable and honest Honda repair shop. On New Year's Day our van was towed to Tidewater Import and the next day Rob called me to tell me what they found and what needed to be done to fix the van. Today our van made it back home with no issues. Thank you to the staff of Tidewater Import Car Service!

I have a 2003 Honda Accord EX with over 213,000 miles, and I have been bringing my car to Tidewater Import Car Service for the last seven years, and I HIGHLY recommend them to anybody driving a Honda or Acura. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and they are willing to work with you through out all of your service and repair needs. Plus, the service girl drives a nice jacked up truck

Rob and his mechanics are always able to handle anything I throw at them. Most recently, I got a siphon hose stuck in the filler spout of the gas tank of my Honda CR-V. It seemed like an impossible problem to solve. Their mechanic got it out in about 30 seconds!

I trust Tidewater Import Car to do all scheduled maintenance on my new Honda even though the dealership (where I bought the new car) has free oil changes and Honda pays for the first 2 years of service. Rob has taken care of all my previous Hondas, and I trust his shop more than I trust a dealership.

These guys are the best! I have been going to this shop for the last three years. They are incredibly professional, personable, and knowledgeable about their business.My AC in my Honda Accord stopped working just as the season started getting hot and I have my two year old child in the car with me everywhere I go. The day I called they worked me in and I was able to pick up my car that afternoon.Thank you guys so much for the help! Would recommend their service for anyone who owns a Honda or Acura vehicle. Their work is always great and they are honest folks.

My mom and I have been going here for years for car maintenance and I cannot recommend them more highly. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I feel like they genuinely care. Best place around hands down.

I own a faithful donkey Honda Element that has been little used. But, I needed it to be brought up to snuff. I told them to do EVERYTHING that might need doing. Instead of taking advantage of the open ticket, Rob Torrisi (the owner), did what needed to be done and nothing more. He even arranged to take my car to a muffler shop and to have it returned without my doing anything. I was lucky to get this shop recommended to me.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The service is great! I can ask questions and get reliable answers. If people think it is an expensive repair shop you are wrong. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Being able to trust that your vehicle is well taken care of is well worth the prices. I like and trust that they are doing what they say they are doing. My vehicle continues to run great regardless of its age. Great job guys!

Update1: Rob and staff are the best. Sorry to hear Felix went on to other things. Wish him go luck. New staff seem friendly and capable.Update: Still the best around. I always know ahead of time what's needed.I've been going here for almost 30 years and I have never had one issue. They are the only I trust with my car and are the main reason I buy Hondas.

I have been using Tidewater imports for my 3 Honda now for the last 2 years, only bad thing is it took me 15 years to find them!! They are by far the best shop ( including dealer shops) that I have ever dealt with. Rob and his team are knowledgeable, trustworthy and provide a top quality service at a very fair cost. I will continue to highly reccomend to anyone.

I was referred to this business by a trusted friend, who s friend also works at this establishment (Felix). Even though I did not get to meet Felix; Rob handled all my needs & questions. I needed two rear rear braking pads & 2 new tires. They got my car in quickly, while I waited an hour in their waiting room. I was also quoted a great price & I greatly appreciated that! It s hard to find a trustworthy & honest mechanic. I ll definitely be bringing my Hondas for maintenance here on out.Services: Tires, Brakes

I've been a customer of Tidewater Import since 1986 when I had a 1980 Honda Civic. Several Hondas later I still trust them and know that they will give me a fair price.

I received 2 new tires from this company. The owner told me that the TPMS sensor was going to stay on unless I bought 4 tires instead of 2. This didn't make sense to me.I spoke to the Honda Dealership and they told me that it wasn't true. They told me that this company should have reset the TPMS sensor when they put on the new tires. Then Honda told me how I could reset it myself. I went into my car and it took 2 seconds. The light has been permanently off since then.Tidewater Imports purposely misled me. This company should not be trusted.Service: Tires

If you are looking for a reputable place to take your Honda for repairs, look no further! Rob and his team are honest, knowledgeable, well trained and treat you like family. I have a 2000 Accord and 2002 Odyssey and Tidewater Import Auto Service is the reason they are still on the road and will be for a long time to come. I have been coming here for nearly 10 years and Rob has never steered me wrong. His prices are very reasonable (much less than the dealer) and he is very accommodating in setting appointments. On more than one occasion I was told by other businesses (including a Honda dealer) that expensive repairs were needed. Rob tells what should be done now and what can wait and I appreciate that as I don't always have the funds available for costly repairs. Rob always lets you know how much things will cost so you are never surprised; and if he finds any other issues while they are doing the service you requested, he always calls and lets you know. If you are not a mechanic you can trust the expertise of Rob and his team.

If you want an expert in Hondas, THIS is the place! You also won't pay dealership prices. I love that I go to a specialist in my car's make. I want someone who knows what they are doing and Rob and his team are experts. They are trustworthy and do not tell you that you need unnecessary repairs. The staff is extremely polite and they have gotten all of my past repairs done in a day....seamless! They have also checked my car in preparation for a long trip. Who does such a nice gesture? Tidewater Import Car Services does! I am so glad that they were recommended to me and I have recommended them to every Honda owner that I know. Thumbs up all the way around!

I cannot express how incredible Rob and his team are! My car wouldn't start this morning, I had it jumped and drove straight to Rob's shop. He was already slammed but he was able to work me in and get all I needed done before the work day was over! He is fair, honest and really cares about the customers he helps. Not to mention the top notch customer service they have! Follow up phone calls after the service is completed! They are the best and no matter what I will buy Honda or Acura forever just to know I can continue to take our cars there! Thanks again Rob, your kindness and outstanding service does NOT go unnoticed!

We highly recommend using Tidewater Import Car Services to service your car!We've been going to them for about 13 years and have been very happy with the service we have received. Rob and his team are dependable, conscientious,trustworthy, knowledgeable, and friendly. They have kept our cars running smoothly for many years. We owned a 1998 Honda Civic with over 200,000 miles on it, for 11 years and only sold it because my Mom gave me her car when she was no longer able to drive.Visit Tidewater import Car Services, you will be glad you did!

Great company, great owner. I've known and been going to this company since around 1990. My car was always taken care of and I felt like they were honest, had integrity, and did great work on Honda cars. I would definitely recommend this company, Tidewater Import Car Service, for any work to be done on Honda vehicles.

After a trip to the dealership that left me with needing to replace the brakes in my car, I found myself at Tidewater Import and I have not one negative thing to say about this company! I trust them 100% to not only fix everything but to recommend NEEDED fixes, instead of recommending unnecessary things for a ridiculous amount of money (looking at you Honda dealership). After trying many, many places I have finally found a safe place at Tidewater Import! Very highly recommend!Service- ExcellentCare- Very thoroughPricing- Great!

NOT disappointed. Our 2005 Honda CRV would not start while visiting here. When we Googled Honda Service near us, we found Tidewater Import Car Service. When I saw Rob had over 60 5-star reviews (and no others) I was sold. So, we called. Rob was very upfront with us that there were no guarantees on timing or cost. But he did not disappoint. He and his staff checked the car by the end of the day, could not find anything definitive and asked if we wanted to go ahead and replace the starter. We agreed to do that and we received another call the next day with a firm price. AND the car was repaired and back in our hands by the end of the day, saving us car rental fees. Thank you to Rob & staff for running a very professional business.

Rob and his team did a great job in repairing my car. Being new to this area, it is great to find a place which you can trust. They also have a great customer service.The only thing i feel can be added in their service is some sort of shuttle service for people who are dropping the car there. But rest assured, great place to go for Honda repair.

I was recommended to Tidewater Import Car Service by THREE different people, and the shop certainly lived up to its name. In regards to my initial phone consultation they were friendly and accommodating. I was told (by another garage) that I needed ALL new rotors and brakes. Tidewater Import Car Service informed me that all I needed was front rotors and brakes and offered to send me a notice for when the rear brakes and rotors need replacing. The price was perfect and the turn around was ideal (6 hours start to finish!). Just look at the reviews below if you need further reassurance all 3/3 s! Thank you Tidewater Import Car Service! I ve found my new mechanic!

i had planned on having our new Honda Pilot serviced at a local dealership when we relocated it here but I found it difficult just getting an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. Tidewater Import was recommended through a friend and I was scheduled for an appointment the next business day (of a busy holiday week no less) i left with the feeling our Honda will be in better hands here than at one of the local dealerships. This is a first class operation that places your vehicles care as a top priority and that is exactly what i was looking for in a repair shop. To rate Tidewater Imports in my book is simple, it is hands down 5 stars.Rob L.

Being new to the area, finding a fair and trustworthy mechanic is tough. I am very adamant about keeping up my car (2005 Acura TL). After calling around to near-by Acura and Honda dealerships in the Hampton Roads area i was prepared to pay the price, until i found Rob's shop. Being as busy as his shop his, he took the time to price out my work and all his prices were very fair (100-200 dollars less than what the dealers were going to charge me). They use all Honda Products and did an awesome job on my car yesterday. They also do courtesy checks and recommend what services you should be on the lookout for. Great guys, great service, great quality! Will definitely be back for future services!

I've never experienced such great, friendly customer service! Beyond affordable prices and a very knowledgeable staff will keep me coming back. I even received a Christmas card from Tidewater Import Car Service where each employee hand signed their own signature! Talk about a personal touch! I highly recommend them for any car need! Glad I was referred here!

Excellent and timely service! It was recommended by a friend, and Tidewater Import Car Services did not disappoint. I called on a Tuesday afternoon and took my car in the next morning. A couple hours later, it was ready to be picked up. I can rest easy knowing my MDX will be safe to drive to my family's house for Thanksgiving. Thank you Rob and the rest of the crew! I will definitely be back!

Rob and his crew do a great job keeping you on the road! When expensive repairs are necessary they give you information in advance so you can plan for it. We exclusively purchase Honda cars so we have a trustworthy mechanic! Hard to find anywhere else.
