Clinton, the lead mechanic was super easy to talk to and got my headlights looking brand new! The headlight cleaning service doesn t take long at all and they look amazing. Thanks Clinton for making this experience easy and smooth! This pep boys location has great service and knowledgeable staff

Edit: I was told I would be able to pick up my car this weekend to which was changed to this week. It is now midweek and I cannot receive a straight answer on which day I can get my car back. It has officially been over month and still have NO answers.This was my main shop since I had a car and never had an issue with customer service and timeliness until now.I have been waiting on my car for about a month now. I was told a part had to come in, and there s not transparency with this company. I was told I could get my car this weekend, now I m being told a week. They are unable to provide definitive dates. This place is very unprofessional and lacks communication. I have been inconvenienced multiple times by this shop. Very frustrating and awful experience.

I would not recommend going here. The first time I came, check engine light came on and they were right beside the auto zone i got it checked so i said cool. they fixed the car supposedly. 4 days later my check engine light came on AGAIN. i went to get it checked at auto zone and the problem still read the same. I came in the store to talk to the the technician who worked on my car to see what was going on, and he had an attitude. whatever. they end up not charging me because my visit was so recent which i appreciated. however, my check engine light came on again 3 days later! i called frustrated because i didn t understand and my check engine light has never came on this frequently, especially in the course of 3 weeks! they proceeded to tell me my 2016 kia soul is old! gaslighting at its finest! my car has never had this many issues until i took it to them. i would not recommend coming here. they don t even fix the issue and now i have to take my car to another shop and spend more money when all the problems should have been resolved the first time.

I always get worried taking my car to the shop because of cost wise. But I took my F150 in and got an oil change for only $88. I normally pay a bit more than that. So cheapest oil change I ve gotten. Super nice workers. Barbara was so helpful with figuring out a good time for an appointment to fix any issues with the truck. Great experience overall. Definitely will be going to them for any future vehicle work!

Do not go! Blatant price gouging!If you need any part, expect $363.25 for Outside Purchase .. which requires walking to the Auto Zone CONNECTED to Pep Boys. The part cost $117. And a second "Outside Purchase" of $19 for a $19 air filter.Pep Boys has been overcharging for years with litigation in NC, NJ, and several other states. This business is historically criminal. Save your money.

Wonderful service for what seemed like a minor job, replacing a blinker light bulb, and ended up to be a more complicated process due to how my car is designed. Everyone was great from front desk to mechanic.

Pep Boys is the best! I use the Pep Boys in Virginia Beach, and everyone there is amazing and honest. I have been going for years and so happy with service to my autos and all of employees are fantastic, particularly Sarah! Thank you!We have also had to use Pep Boys in Prescott, AZ and Albuquerque, NM while traveling. Thanks to both of those stores as well. Great places !

Just had 4 new tires installed and was very impressed with my overall service. I worked directly with Sarah and her customer service and follow up was excellent. I ve always had great service with Pep Boys, but this was exceptional.

I needed a battery for a 2010 GMC Sierra. I looked online and PepBoys had it in stock at a reasonable price and I was able to make a same-day appointment. Got there at the appointed time and was out the door in less than 30 minutes.

Took my truck in for a tire installation that was efficient and offered a military discount. Pep Boys was more than $100 cheaper than the quote from the Exxon on Shore Drive and Old Great Neck. Awesome service.

Brought my vehicle in for state inspection. It needed a few things done to pass as expected seeing as my check engine light was on. Was a bit expensive but I was expecting quick and quality work for the price seeing as this is a large organization. Unfortunately one day later after everything was all said and done my engine light came back on and my car started stuttering on the road. Somehow, the mechanic managed to crack one of the tubes in my engine while doing the other repairs. Which made things in my car even worse, and now I'm stuck waiting for the new part for another 4 days and having to bother my managers for rides and take ubers just to get to work. Take my advice. If you get work done. Have them inspect it before you take the car back.

I was dumb enough to wait til the end of the month to get an inspection but was thankfully able to bring my truck here on a Saturday. The folks behind the counter are very friendly. I appreciate that they give you an inspection report so you can see what s good and what work needs to be done. The technician (I believe his name is Chris) did a great job on my vehicle. They do honest work for fair prices.

This place has really went downhill since they downsized. And I solely mean the quality of work. They have some of the laziest record keeping I've ever seen in my life. I use to could come in and they could tell me everything that was done the last time I was in there even if it was over a year ago. Now if you go in and schedule an appointment for the very next week they have no record of you or why your there. So I took my vehicle there for a check engine light and a ould change light. They did they oil change and told me the check engine light was because of evap pump and vapor can. Which they would replace for a total $1483. Upon completion of the work I told them I have to go out of town the next day the tech informed me that the check engine light did not go off and the part they put in works but is still faulty but I shouldn't have any issues driving. He told me to bring it back when I came back get back in town now while out of town on 64 I hit a pothole and the check engine light when off and it would intermittently flash. When I came back and I had to explain everything(even why I brought it in the very first time) and they said they have no clue of what I was talking about. Barbara at the front had the worse attitude and acted like I was completely bothering and interrupting her by being in there even tho they never seem to have a customer in there. So after scheduling an appointment for the following week and coming in to explain to them AGAIN why I brought my car in they looked at it and said it's no issue other than some outstanding code that they couldn't fix and I would have to take it to the dealership to fix. Now this is the first time they've mentioned these codes. They completely left it at that with the only answer to any of my questions being "we don't recall" or "we don't remember any of that". I highly recommend against going to this location.

Dropped my car off 30min before closing the day before 4th of July, and the estimated time it was to be completed was 5pm the next day. i needed a state inspection and there were a few things wrong so they called and told me the price to fix everything. They were quick it was completed and ready for pick up by 2pm. Thank you everything looks great.

I highly recommend this store. I needed a tire for my suv which they promptly ordered and it arrived the very next day. I was in and out on my lunch break for the install. It couldn t have been easier. Thank you!

On March 12, 2023 around 9:45AM, I went to Pep Boys at 321 Hutton Lane, Virginia Beach, VA 23454, for a left rear tire repair. I showed the service manager, Sarah, the screw in the middle of the tire. Sarah was nice and professional throughout this whole situation. My car was ready at around 11:05AM and I thanked her for taking care of it so quickly. However, when I got home, I noticed that there were no signs that the tire was ever dismounted from the wheel. There was no residual tire bead lube or bead sealer. Then, I found a sticky plug was used instead of a complete rubber patch/plug combo. Those sticky plugs are for temporary use only and I could have done that myself but I wanted it repaired correctly. The tire repair plug and patch combo has been recognized by the USTMA and the TIA as the safest and correct way to repair a tire. I m a mechanic too and know exactly what s going on here. Sarah corrected the problem but this issue should never have happened. My invoice shows Jason H. as the mechanic. I put all blame on Jason as this person tried to save time by cutting corners, probably thinking I wouldn t notice but Jason also put my safety at risk by doing this. Imagine how many tires Jason fixed incorrectly. I wonder if my tire was even rebalanced after the repair. This was my first time getting service from Pep Boys and will be my last.

This morning, 11/26/22, I came in for a car inspection and it all started there. I met Steve@the front desk, after he opened the store. Great customer service from the time I arrived, to the time I left. Very professional, understanding and communicated with me through it all. Good atmosphere all around and I will be back for all my car services and let others know, what a great place to take your vehicle. Thanks again.

About as unfriendly service advisor as I ve ever encountered.Spent more time arguing with me than resolving a problem.I could get a much better price online than what she quoted, then got mad because I found it on the PepBoys website.At least they were quick.
