I want to SHOUT OUT a particular person at Midas for his kindness. Chandler deserves 5 stars for the way he treats customers. It s rare these days, yet Chandler goes the extra mile to be professional, friendly, and kind. I am so appreciative for the way he helped solve the problem for The Nature Bus so we could head out on our tour.

Brought my car here for a state inspection and oil change on a Saturday. They gave me a 2 hour time frame and had it done within an hour complete with brake fluid flush. Friendly and courteous people. You won't be disappointed.

Todd, Chris and the guys did a fabulous job! It was hard to get an inspection at my dealership or anywhere else for that matter a few days before the end of the month but they were able to get my oil change and inspection done in record time. Everyone was nice and friendly! Quality work and excellent service, I look forward to coming back!

Friendly staff but I ll never get their service or technical advice again.After getting new discs and rotors in the front and drums in Tenneessee a week earlier, I went to this Midas location in Virginia Beach while on work travel because my car was making a grinding sound when hitting the brakes.They did a full brake inspection for $166. They said back brakes needed adjusted so I said ok good maybe that s what it was. I left and the noise soon returned on the drive home so I call and make another appointment with this location. I get to my appointment a few days later and they refused to look at my car because I couldn t get the car to make the noise (didn t make the noise every time I hit the brakes).. Anyhow, I get to Rhode Island and the noise get way worse. My mechanic here showed me how the front brake pads were flip flopped and the back brake discs that spread open to the drum where flip flopped as well causing a grinding sound. At the end of the day my front and back brakes on a hyndai accent cost me over $800.Point is, I honestly expected this location to catch a simple error like this and would have saved me $200. Instead charged me $166 for a very half-worked brake inspection (I watched most of it from afar). Prob took the kid a total of 10 minutes to adjust the back brakes.

The gentleman that work upfront on October 20th was very warm and welcoming, They were able to get my sons truck inspected right away and even told me the best dmv to go to, since we talked how I was down there picking up his truck to get it registered and take back home with me while my son doesn t need it. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone needing anything they do!! Very clean inside as well.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

Todd was so helpful and made sure to get my oil change and st inspection finished the same day! Great customer service and he was very knowledgeable. Shop was clean and the mechanics were cordial when my car was finished. I need additional work done and was able to get all the quotes and pricing I needed, and I will be coming back. Thanks again MIDAS!

Last year took our truck to get inspected and they busted the wheel speed sensor wouldnt fix it I ended up having to pay $500 to another place then this year broke my brand new rim Midas and that fat guy can suck a fat one I'm done they will get no more of my money

This place doesn t even deserve one star. But I had to put a star so that I can leave this review. I have no idea how this place is still in business. If you look at the reviews, everyone says the same thing they are crooks. We took our car there after calling around and getting quotes. We already knew our rear brakes and rotors needed replaced so that is what we asked pricing for. They told us it would be a reasonable fee. When we get there they do their inspection which was an additional $90 (not included in the quote) and told us that we need new rear brakes and rotors. (Obviously). Then tell us it s it s going to be $500 more dollars then they quoted us for the same services they quoted us before. I could understand if they found something additional that needed fixing but that s ridiculous. They lie to lure people in and hit them while they are helpless and feel they don t have a choice. Midas should be ashamed. And please don t reply with your generic automated message saying sorry and please contact the store to tell us more. The store is the problem. Management is the problem. The proof is in the pudding and the reviews tell the story.

DO NOT GO to this location! They ruined my transmission. I had to get it rebuilt costing me over $3,000 and they refuse to take any accountability for it. I came in for a routine transmission fluid flush and it ended up costing me thousands of dollars to get my car back to the condition it was in when I went there to begin with. I filed a complaint but since each store is independently owned they keep closing out my claim without ever calling me back. The one time someone did call me back he refused to identify himself, said he would get back to me with a resolution, but instead went into the claim and lied about everything we spoke about and closed out the claim again without calling me back as promised. They never offered me any sort of compensation or resolution. I even said I could go half with them! They continued to lie and say my car had pre-existing conditions which is false, and that a lot of time had elapsed before I reported the issue, which is another lie!!! I only wanted the flush done as a routine maintenance, and I was indeed back and forth to their location to try and resolve the issue several times until I had no choice but to take it to a transmission shop, which is what they told me to do! I lost so much money, that to this day I am still trying to get back on my feet from it!

Thank you for being honest and working hard on my car !! I searched high now for a good mechanic shop and ended up passing by these guys the other day ..long story short they are HONEST and very hardworking and being a single female new to this state it's not easy finding a place that won't screw you over .. especially your car!! So thank you guys again Lance and the crew !!! Go to this location for fair pricing and above all honesty .Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

This is the worst place I ve ever had car service. James, a so-called manager, is ridiculously rude and lied/contradicted himself numerous times. He got very angry when I called him out on it. He overcharged because he thought I wouldn t know better. Another shop charged me $300 and Midas/James charged $600. TRUTH! He said my friend who was on speaker phone trying to help me, was eavesdropping. I kid you not. He called me trouble when I tried to stand up for myself. My whole experience at Midas was horrible. I reported him to Midas Corporate but nothing has become of it so far because they re a franchise. It s sad Midas can get away with this and stay in business. James needs to be gone or he will eventually ruin the 2 VB locations.

Nobody likes to have their cars repaired, but if it's necessary going somewhere with honest pricing, friendly faces, and a shop that stands behind their work is a must have! This location offers all three! I had a pretty big job done last year and a part failed. Midas stood behind their work and rectified the issue right away. I would recommend this location without hesitation.

I had a appointment for 2 pm today and I called to tell them I didn t realize how far they were from norfolk and I might be a couple minutes late and the guy is so rude on the phone like well we don t have a technician today so I wouldn t be able to see you. You mean to tell me if I didn t call ahead of time I would have drove thirty min to be turned away WITH an appointment. Like how are you not gonna call me to tell me that. Thank heavens I called before hand cus you would of had one mad woman in your lobby

I had concerns about my headlights flickering and my dash lights not working, I took it in for a reasonable price, but the problem had come back about a month later. They did lower the price because some things came up and they spoke with me and talked to the most extent of car knowledge we both could. Definitely like that the owner knows about vehicles. Unfortunately, I couldn t get the time to bring it back to be fixed. I would recommend these guys just make sure you Call ahead so you know the time you ll be pulled in.

Have been bringing our vehicles here for many years for oil changes and inspections primarily and haven't had any issues. Recently needed some additional work done on a very fast tracked schedule and the way they approached the work both from the technical aspect and the customer service aspect was exceptional. Jerry at the front desk has done a great job at accommodating our requests and providing great communication. Would be happy to recommend.

Warning warning warning do not use this business unless your ok with being treated badly and lied to.They failed my brakes at inspection they fixed the brakes a month earlier.So they failed there own work.They will never let you speak to the owner in fact one mechanic pretends to be the owner.If they say you ll get your car back by a certain time don t hold your breath.Services: Brakes, Oil change

Superior service, knowledge and skills of the technicians, especially the welder. After bringing my old 98 Lexus in for major exhaust issue which was louder than any racecar. Form quote to the completion of the service was amazing. They were Upfront about the what the issue was and repair process. Now the car run quieter than when I got it.So stop looking for place based on the cheapest price to do repairs or general maintenance, look at the skill and outstanding customer service and go to this Midas located in Virginia Beach.

Excellent and friendly service. From the mechanics to the 2 young ladies who were working customer service, you could tell these were people who enjoyed what they did. I was extremely satisfied with the service I received today. When we called this morning my fiance was told an hour to an hour and a half wait for inspection. We went and were in and out within 45 minutes. I would recommend this location to everyone looking for honest reliable service.

I took my vehicle in for a few repairs. I told the mechanic what the problems were and he went to work. When he discovered what was causing the problems, he did a great job explaining to me what needed to be done. After that, Midas ordered the parts needed to fix my vehicle. As soon as the parts arrived the mechanic went to work. Unfortunately, shortly after beginning the work he discovered that the parts supplier had sent the wrong part, and it was too late in the day to have them send the correct part. That was a little disheartening because it was a Saturday and the store would be closed until Monday, which meant my vehicle would be in the shop until then. However, this was fine. One of the store's employees gave my wife and me a ride home. When I returned to the store on Monday as soon as the correct part arrived the mechanic went to work. After he had finished, he did an complimentary allignment because of the inconvenience the set back had caused. Overall, my experience was very positive. The work done on my vehicle was very well done, and the staff went above and beyond to provide a superior level of service.

Had a pretty awesome experience here. Ben and his team did an exceptional job on both my 04 Expedition and my 2000 Jeep Wrangler. I've seen the past reviews here but since the management change, these guys are top notch. Trust is always my number 1 concern whenever I take my vehicles in for maintenance and these guys are off to a great start with that. I'm certain we'll have a lasting relationship as long as they keep up their quality customer service and keeping my trucks on the road. Will definitely be back and will strongly recommend to my friends and family.

I took the car to change the power steering hose and ended up paying more than $800 to put a hose !! This is abusive !! More than $500 in Labor for putting up a hose? It is not the first time that they overcharge for a simple service. Never Again!! I'm from New York and I always took my car to Midas and the service and prices there were always excellent. I was wrong to think it would be the same in Virginia Beach
