It's amazing that I was able to find an honest car care shop today, but that's exactly what I found here at the Meineke on Holland Rd. in Virginia Beach. My truck was having a check engine light with a code for the evap. valve. After making sure what was not causing the problem they did a smoke test which revealed that there was no leak. The next step was supposed to be a reset of the computer. That has a price of around $500 bucks. They could have done that work and when that didn't fix the problem, they could have told me that the next thing was what it ended up being. Instead they investigated further and found that it was a part, that with labor came to around $240. They could have taken advantage, but they didn't. The entire staff was awesome. Thank Guys

I felt like they listened to my concerns and addressed them well. I came away from the inspection with a better understanding than with any other shop, and I'm really happy with the work they did. I feel like they went above and beyond what I expected. Definitely our new go-to shop.

Brought my car there for a shift cable issue and waited to hear back. After the initial inspection, they quoted me a price. Then comes the day to get my car and they told me a higher price than before. I asked them about it and they lowered the price back down and brushed it off. Never received an invoice or breakdown of the finals costs by email or anything. Just seemed shady

I took my car here to get an annual inspection done and was able to get it accomplished without an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. The staff was very nice and respectful.

I had an appointment at 10:30am for annual inspection. When I arrived I was told that there were two cars ahead of me. They didn't take my car back for the first hour of my wait. I waited 3 hours for my services to be completed for annual inspection. I gave 4 stars because the staff were very kind and the mechanics did a good job. It just took forever.

Did not get serviced because the State Inspector refused so service me. I was offered service from another local auto mechanic shop (not Meineke). The service and communication was a lot better at the other shop, and I got the State Inspection that was needed. It helps to have auto services to communicate the issue to help resolve problems to keep service.

Provided detailed inspection report, provided a complimentary loaner vehicle and the customer service was top notch. However, the tech quoted me over $3,000 for a rear brake job and caliper replacement, went a half mile down the road and received the same service for less than $1,000.

I made an 1p appt online prior. Got there 30 mins early and was told the mechanics were on another order, there'll be a wait. So I left and came back at 1. Although I figured it would be a wait (hopefully a small one) I was informed that it would an 1.5 hour, possibly two, at the soonest to get to my car. Smh. What's the point of making an appt?! I left. And will never go back again.

I came here the year previously to get my inspection and had no issues. Left my car and before I could get settled at home my car was ready for pick up. This time I waited 4 hours for my inspection, I had an appointment at 12pm that I made almost a month in advance. Very disappointed in my wait, the only positive I had is that the young man at the front kept me updated and offered me a car if I wanted to leave. Overall, not sure if I will be returning to this location after my experience.

Although the customer service from Ryan and Jeremy was impeccable, my issue is with the company itself. The prices that they charge for parts is ridiculous and there s absolutely so reason that an individual with an extended warranty should have to pay an additional $249 out of pocket with their warranty. If you re tight on funds, single parent etc, don t go to Meineke and if you have a warranty, go to the dealership. Price gouging in 2024 is lame

I needed a state inspection on my vehicle but the Meineke location I usually patronize was unable to schedule this service for several days. I checked other locations and found this one. I was able to make an appointment for the following day. The online booking process only allowed one service to be scheduled so I called the store and spoke with John who added the oil change service I also desired. John was very upbeat and pleasant on the phone.I arrived at my scheduled appointment time and was promptly greeted upon entering the store. I was impressed by the size and cleanliness of this location. The waiting area is very spacious and comfortable. There are five service bays to take care of appointments and walk-ins. My services were completed in a timely manner. John The Problem Solver and the rest of the crew took good care of me and my vehicle. They were very thorough with the inspection and texted lots of pictures with corresponding services recommended.I am glad to have discovered this Meineke location. I will be a repeat customer due to the professional and friendly customer service, the efficiency and quality of service and competitive prices.Services: Tire rotations, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance, Oil change

The staff was professional and thorough. My car is back to running smooth after a muffler repair. Even though I had additional issues found, they were not pushy with securing the work and discussed each issue, and the priority of them.

I took my car there a few months ago for a second oil changed because they advised me previously, it was necessary for me to have it done every 5000 miles. However, I drive a Lexus and Lexus recommends every 10,000 miles. Long story short, I took the car to Lexus because it s still under warranty to check out some service things, and they brought to my attention (photographic evidence) that my oil was overfilled and need to be drained, etc. Meaning having too much oil and whoever worked on the car last did not connect everything back together. So I called the location on Holland Road and expressed what happened. Again, I also had pictures because one thing about Lexus, they take pictures and provide proof of the information they re telling you. The gentleman on the phone told me he apologized and he could offer me three vouchers for my next three oil changes. For obvious reasons, I decline because if you have been misleading and advising me that I needed oil changes every 5000 miles just to make additional money why in the world would I allow you to give me something free? I advised him I had to pay $150 to Lexus to correct their mess. So, no thank you on the vouchers!! But to top it off, they told me they looked up the person who did my service previously and they apologized but he was no longer there for similar reasons. I asked if I could get a refund and they said they don t do refunds. Wow!! It s not about the money for me, it s all about the service so keep it! You got me twice on the oil changes. So please beware of this place. From my experience here, I recommend always checking with the dealer for their recommendations of their vehicles. I will utilize their services to avoid being misinformed. I m confident Lexus can back up their work with accountability if something happens, although they may be more expensive this was a lesson learned.

Dropped off a fleet vehicle to be looked at for an oil leak. Received an email the next morning stating repair was done.When tech picked up the vehicle on 2/12/2024, the location stated they did not handle National lease plan repairs. Prior to picking this location, I had verified with both the location, 2663, and our lease plan provider that Meineke was in network.

This was my first time at this location. Customer service was outstanding. The establishment was very clean inside and out. Not only was the price affordable and cheaper than Take5 and Jiffy Lube. They also gave me and overall assessment of additional services needed to my vehicle. I highly recommend this location for an oil change, customer service and performance.

I appreciate Meineke s process and transparency throughout the service experience. They do a thorough check even if you just want an oil change and give you a report and leave it up to you if the repairs should be made or not. This Holland road location has also been good at maintaining a timely schedule and helped me with my time constraints.

Jordan and the rest of the staff were very kind with helping me get a state inspection for my car. I had been going to different places in the area for two weeks and no one would help or let me schedule an appointment. i went to Meineke on Friday evening and Jordan got me scheduled for an appointment on Saturday. I am so happy that I went there. The service is great and fast.

I had an oil change performed, here, at Meineke. I used some of my reward points to pay for it. But, I still was still charged $5.59. I had enough reward points to cover the entire oil change price. In fact, I was told, by the manager that, I had enough reward points remaining to cover the cost of another oil change. I feel like I shouldn t have been charged anything.

The first appointment I made for a state inspection they canceled an hour before my appointment. The second appointment I made I explained I would be waiting and not dropping off my car and still I waited 2.5 hours to get my car back. I asked for new windshield wipers which were not put on properly and had to go back the next day. They suggested I replace the air filter which had been replaced several months earlier and when I got in my car the fan and filter were making a horrible low growling noise and I was told to come back later for the filter replacement after which he failed my inspection.

I left all the car problems for my husband to explain. I was just the "money" person and they fixed the car-sure there are a lot more things that can be fixed later- at a cheaper price than I expected. They explained what need to be done in "wife" language(none mechanical).

I went there for a state safety inspections and the service was amazing. They walked me through the process and discussed what is actually needed to pass the inspection and why. I recommend everyone to come to this Meineke branch at holland.

Guys are always professional and do a great job with keeping me up to date on what needs replacing now, in a month, and the next few months. Don t trust our cars to anyone else. They also don t rip you off with needless extras. All factory scheduled maintenance is better quality than any dealer I ve dealt with.

Took the car in for state inspection. Upon picking the car up after they failed it for a worn tie rod (wanted $450 to replace it, but figured I save a little and do it myself), when I started it up there was a high pitched whining noise that was not there when I dropped it off this morning. They took no responsibility and did not offer to take a look at it.
