Typical awesome experience!!Great service and communication!I usually drop my car off the night before service but couldn t this time. My appointment was at 10 am . Got there a few minutes late no problem! Told me that it could be up to 11/2 hours. Inspection was completed in an hour!!! Emailed a complete (very thorough) report! Will recommend to family and friends!

First Landing is, the best shop aroundFirst, I never called them, they called me to let me know exactly what was going on with my car, every step of the way. I had my car at another shop, it wouldn't start. 5 days and 800 dollars they said the couldn't fix. Towed it to First Landing, pulled it in the shop, 2 hours later got notified problem found part on order. For less than half the price of the other shop. Friendly and very courteous great shop. If you want professional, First Landing is your spot

My experiences with First Landing Auto have taken a lot of stress out of getting my car serviced. I don't have to arrange a ride back home and can relax knowing that I have a ride to pick up my car. I had my headlights cleaned and what a difference it made. I did not feel pressured to get additional work done at that time. I was given a list and we discussed a plan to get the needed work completed. I highly recommend them.

So happy with the service and work that was done on my car. Needed to replace a hybrid battery, pricing, service and efficiency was top notch. Will definitely be a return customer. Ohhh and ended up spending day with office staff who made the day easy and enjoyable.

Great people to work with . I had to have a tire replaced on my 2023 Subaru due to a construction screw in my sidewall of the tire.Brain was helpful, he gave my wife and I a ride home and when they were finished they brought my car back to my house.That is great costumer service .

My car began to overheat on my way to Virginia Beach where I work. Coming from Hampton, I was in a pretty sticky situation. I work just across the street from their Thoroughgood location. I gave them a call to see if they would have any availability in the near future. I spoke with a gentleman named Brian who listened to my situation and told me to bring it over so they could open her up and see what the problem was. Chris, the mechanic, did an amazing inspection over my whole car, down to the light bulbs. Communication was amazing throughout the day, prices were fair, and they even stayed late to make sure I was back on the road to home after my shift.I ONE HUNDRED percent recommend this team and will definitely be going to them for ALL my future automotive needs!

Friendly and professional service. I would definitely go to them again!I brought a vw jetta to them that had some sensor issues and other things I don t really understand . They figured it out and fixed it. My only gripe is that modern cars have way too much technology and extra bells and whistles but that s the way it is.First Landing also found other things that needed work like brakes and ball joints and I figured I might as well have all of that done too while it s there. Thanks!

I went there for state inspection, I called for an appointment and it was very easy. My car was done within 1.5 hours, they send me an email and called me to go over the inspection. Very nice people.

Update: Mark, thanks for your reply.Brake issues aside, why would you charge $400 for a bulb replacement that retails for $25? Does that lightbulb come with a life time warranty? I also didn't "shop around" for any mechanic to pass my vehicle, I took it to base and I wouldn't refer to the car center on base as "unscrupulous", especially when they charged 1/4 the price for the low beam.Original review:The staff got back to my inquiry quick and got me an appointment fast and were friendly and professional. They did an extremely thorough inspection; however they would not pass the car without $1200 worth of work. $400 of which was quoted for a single light bulb, and the other $800 was for a break pad. The car passed inspection in May out of state. I took my car to base and they passed the car and changed the bulb for $100.I get that there will be a different opinion for every mechanic you see but the first landing mechanics have very expensive opinions. The quotes for the work they suggested were 2-3x higher than other local shops. The crew at first landing also recommended $5k worth of work was needed on my 2020 vehicle. Would recommend you stay away unless money is not an issue.

Awesome service! I was in need of a state inspection really bad and every where I went was either booked up or walk in only. First Landing was kind enough to get me in. The service was impeccable! Although they don t have a waiting room they have an escort service to take you home if you need to leave your car for services. I m definitely going back for oil changes, and other services. The staff were wonderful. I was able to get my car in within a few days. Got a surprise bag(candy) when I entered my car. I will start to go to First Landing Auto Care when I need my vehicle fixed. I dropped my vehicle off last minute to get a state inspection. They sent an extremely detailed inspection report outlining levels of repairs required to pass state inspection, and items in need of attention. Once I approved the repairs, the entire repair process was flawless.

I took my Prius in to replace the battery and to check the brakes. The battery was replaced at what I ll call an exorbitant price. The battery, the air filter (and cabin air filter) was replaced for a total of $988.40! Part of this total was a $188.82 hybrid driveablility concern . I was told that my brake pads and rotors needed replacing, but the pads would be free! I knew this was not the case, as I have monitored the brakes carefully. I got my brakes done at another service center and it cost me $280.00. As I expected, I did not need rotors. Gouging?Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto battery replacement

I've only had my car worked on twice with First Landing Auto Care, but I plan on only bringing my car here going forward. The team members that I've interacted with have been nothing but helpful and explained any and everything about what services were being performed on my car. The state inspection report that I received was very detailed and included photos of the problem areas, and even categorized additional work in order of importance

Be prepared to spend money. They are open about not trying to compete on price. Parts and supplies cost is double the market. Labor is about 40% higher. They charge $170 diagnostic fee for every mechanical and $190 for every electrical issue you point out. My guess is that often people take their cars somewhere else after getting total cost of repair hence the need for the diagnostic fee. They do a comprehensive free inspection regardless if you ask for it or not. Of course, the cost of it is built into overall cost. Bottom line, your car will get fixed but it will cost you.Service: Electrical repair

My spouse & I love all of the great people who work at this location! It s conveniently right down the road from our house. They re always informative & their communication is great. I love having the vehicle inspection sent to my phone so I can see it. We highly recommend this place to all of our friends or anyone asking for a reference! Great staff. Repairs are fast, accurate and my vehicle is always returned when promised. If there are delays or issues they are proactively in touch Prices are fair and in my opinion a good value for the quality of workmanship.

I just read in the reviews that military discount was offered. I have dropped off my car in my uniform multiple times, it was never mentioned to me. I also asked for a ride, but after an hour I had to call back and ask if there was anyone available to pick me up, but Necole said they're short staffed. I get it they're busy, but this information would have save me some time rather than waiting for a response. The service was professional, but I don't see myself coming back. I just feel wronged for being charged almost 400 dollars for an oil change and some filter changes.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tire rotations, Oil change

This shop performed my inspection the day I called. All employees were incredibly friendly and patient. I really appreciate the civilty; I won't go to a shop if I am not treated well. They passed my vehicle for state inspection the same day I called, as they should have. They spent considerable extra time inspecting the vehicle for potential issues. They were transparent in that they included over thirty photos of the suggested issues. They gave me a ride to and from home. Their 4.5 star rating very accurately reflects their consistent high performance and effort. I am grateful. I will be back. Thank you.The shop later performed a complicated diagnosis and repair for me. I am satisfied with both, as well as the respectful attitudes of the employees.

I m not going to get into extreme details but I will give my honest feedback. The workers here are professional and friendly. They know what they re talking about and they know how to perform the work correctly. They do offer military discount and I appreciated that. However, my only disagreement with this business is their prices. Although I did agree to have them perform work on my vehicle, I believe their prices are very high including their diagnostic fee. Not everyone just has +$1,000 s saved up. Unfortunately, I had to use a credit card but that s not their fault and I understand that. But if I went else where it would have only costed me about $500-$600. In the end, their prices here are almost double in price the average cost for most reasonable mechanic shops. Other family members have also gotten work done here and are also in disagreement with their high prices as well. Recommendation: Lower your prices to a reasonable profitable cost especially your diagnostic fee and when offering military discount, offer 10% of the entire bill like most businesses instead of a flat $50.
