Negative Experience: Express Auto Electric! The map lights were out on my used Honda Accord, and my alarm was going off at odd hours, so I scheduled a consultation at Express Auto Electric. At first, they said it was an easy repair, and recommended replacing the dome light switch and hood latch. This consultation alone without repairs totaled $156.12. They sent me home, claimed they had detached the hood switch, but did not and the alarm went off at 1:30am.I kept calling back to see if the parts were in and got different stories. I dropped my car off for the repair, left it all day, and around 4:30pm they said it wasn t that issue: I needed a new multiplex, which can cost $440-$1,000. At this point, why wasn t this determined when I paid them $156.12? The front desk hummed and hawed without a true reply. They said they found a refurbished part for $440 and would not charge me labor, given the hassle. I kept calling to see when the part came in and could schedule the repair.Several weeks later, I bring the car in, they take the full day to install the part, they say the total is $1,060.02! I replied that they told me they were not charging me labor, only $440 for the part, so the associate takes off only $70.25, saying there was a $500 programming fee! I was appalled why wasn t this fee ever mentioned?!My regular mechanic, Shawn and his team at Knight s Service Center NEVER do things like this! The price they say is what you pay. Unfortunately, they do not do electric repairs, so I was left to find a shop that does and had the misfortune of landing on this terrible, unskilled, unethical mechanic. Learn from my experience and never go to this mechanic EVER!

They took my $65.42 and instead of putting my car up to do a diagnostic speedometer calibration, instead they used a GPS speedometer calibration; meaning one of the guys drove my car; I watched as he went down the street but I am thinking they have another garage. The guy gets back with my car after driving it. Then the manager has the audacity to tell me afterwards that my speedometer is spot on accurate but it was not assessed properly. Little do they know that I already was told how a speedometer calibration takes places and what happens. It s outrageous that if you are a woman like me because they will tell you anything to get your money. I would not recommend this company at all. Lesson learned.

These folks were awesome! They were personable, highly competent, and very understanding with my needs/concerns when they worked on an electrical project with my truck. They sorted it very quickly and at a reasonable price (nearby competitor wanted literally double for the same job). This place inspected my vehicle one year ago. When the most recent inspection was due, I took it to another facility. These are the major issues which were found: Wheel Bearing, Upper Lateral Arm, and Piston on Caliber Torn. In addition the brake pads and rotors were bad one month after Express Auto Electric inspection last year. Yet, somehow with all these issues the vehicle passed inspection last year. How was that possible? So, when I took the vehicle for its inspection this year all those issues were found. It cost me $2,000.00 to have all those issues addressed. I can accept that wear and tear occurred on a couple things, but not everything. I believe they passed the vehicle inspection knowing that some of these issues existed. Why did they do it? I believe they did it to help a certain dealership put the car on the lot for resale value. Tip: Make sure if you are purchasing a used vehicle you be allowed to take it to the INSPECTION STATION OF YOUR CHOICE FOR A SECOND OPINION. Just because a vehicle has an updated inspection sticker on the windshield DO NOT ASSUME everything is okay with it. The vehicle should not have passed inspection last year. The mechanic who performed the inspection this year stated this. He stated he believes Express Auto Electric let some of the issues "S- L- I -D- E".Service: Vehicle safety inspection

When I was younger, the gentleman took my card from my hand and charged me twice. He said "I forgot to charge you and extra $30 the last time you were here." That is a memory I will never forget. Don't come here. Especially if you are a woman.

After initially having a very poor experience with the servicing of my 335i Bob the owner did even he could to make me a happy customer. Even with hiccups he maintained his professionalism and care for his business. Doc is one of master techs there and is very knowledgeable. Best advice is if you can speak with the tech who will be servicing your vehicle or Bob DIRECTLY to voice your concerns to ensure their are no miscommunications. Miscommunications cost me quite a bit. I had an electrical issue that caused other issues and Doc got me sorted. Reasonably priced if you know what you want done and there is no guesswork.Service: General repairs & maintenance

AVOID THIS PLACE!They charged me 780 dollars just have a fuel pump put in.AND MY VEHICLE STILL HAS THE SAME ISSUES!YES I HAVE THE CORRECT PLACE. This was over 2 years ago for a 2003 Alero Oldsmobile and this review will never be removed.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. If I had more than 2 thumbs, I'd give more than 2 thumbs up. The folks at Express Auto Electric are honorable people and choose the path of doing the right thing, the right way. I was informed that the mechanic stayed past closing time to finish up and check the systems to ensure the fix was complete. I had constant communication with Bill from the time I left my truck to the call to say it was ready to go. They now have a customer for life and will get my recommendation anytime someone asks. Excellent service! Working with Sarah to get my car fixed was easy, when something was potentially changing, I was contacted immediately prior to anything being done. Great communication, I had a complicated issue so it was a relief that they have a diverse staff and were able to figure out the issue. Reasonably priced and not the headache you'd expect getting your car fixed!! Thanks again!

My window wouldn't roll down. Another shop diagnosed and said bad fuse box. It wasn't that. EAC found the problem and repaired for reasonable price. Now I don't have to sell my truck. Thx a million!

Wonderful experience here last week for car inspection. Previous year I was bushwhacked at Bucky' s down the road. Sarah and her crew took care of things quick and easy, no extras. Felt taken care of and at home and at ease the entire time. I got my truck back in a couple hours after a few minor tweaks. I totally recommend them. I am a woman, I liked that a woman was there to greet me and get to know me, and take care of all my business.

Refreshing to work with honest auto repair business. Brought in a trailer for inspection and brake replacement quote. I fully expected to have to replace the brakes as part of the inspection, and even told them that. I was very happy and surprised to receive a call from them that my brakes were fine and did not need replacing. They could have easily duped me into an unnecessary brake job. Great customer service, will definitely be using them for all car repair issues going forward.

So glad I took my car here today to be repaired. They were courteous, explained the issue, kept me regularly updated, and even apologized when the repair took a little longer than expected due to the extent of work needed. Plus, they are more affordable and had better service than a previous repair shop that was recommended that not only would've charged me way more, but take twice as long for the same repair.

Took my car in for inspection after a recommendation from a friend Great experience, wasn't given any unnecessary fixes. Just a couple minor things they fixed on the spot, and I enjoyed chatting with Sarah while I waited. Will continue to use them while I live in the area.

I have a car that is pretty proprietary for parts & service. I dislike dealing with the dealership, especially as there is only one in this area that will service my car. I am so glad that Auto Electric will service my car!!! Always with a smile, reasonable prices, no long waits to get it in or for repairs to be completed. So refreshing to deal with a local business. Thank you, Auto Electric, for taking care of my "fun little car"!

I received excellent and professional experience with this company. I did not have a long wait for my state inspection or need to come several hours before opening in order to ensure receiving a inspection. I will definitely be using them for other mechanical services on my vehicle.

This place is awesome and they are honest!! They did an inspection on my wife's Mercedes and made the necessary repairs at more than half the cost than what Pep Boys were trying to charge. They also ran a test on the electrical components that were draining the battery which showed a low charge. We were scheduled to have the Mercedes dealership change out the instrument cluster the next day but after speaking with the owner at Express, he convinced us that the instrument cluster wasnt the problem, it was the low battery charge. Thanks Express for saving us $2000.00 from the Mercedes dealership and $700.00 from Pep Boys! We will be bring our vehicles here from now on!

I cannot express how happy i am with the service here at Auto Express! After going in for a state inspection that did not pass due to a problem that i had "fixed" a few years back that seems to have only been a patch up job, anywho i was greated like i was appreciated by Sarah at the desk and Bob the owner is always very pleasant to deal with inside or outside his business, they took great care of me and my vehicle and i will definitely bring my vehicles in for any work! Highly recommended! I would give more stars if i could. Thank you everybody at Express Auto!!

Very poor customer service ! So annoyed I went to get my car inspected and they said I needed a rear marker bulb replaced, the next day both my tail light/signal light aren t working at alI. I came in and told the lady at the front desk and she immediately said that my bulb must have blown and it wasn t the technicians fault. She didn t even take it back to have somebody look at it and make sure, she just kept saying that the fuses were completely seperate from each other and that she couldn t help that the bulb blew after I left. So, I took my car to pep boys and I was going to have to get all the lights on my left side replaced because they were burned out or so I thought turns out the guy from Express Auto Electric hadn t connected the fuses correctly ! So if the rude lady at the counter would have at least taken the car back to be checked out I wouldn t have had to gone to 2 different places.LONG STORY SHORT: go to pep boys.Side note: there was nothing wrong with my lights when I went to get the inspection and now I have a problem which would tell anybody that if they were the last people to service my vehicle they could have at least taken a look to see what the problem was.It was such an easy fix, I can t believe how poor the customer service was.

I'm very disappointed about the service we received. Let me share both great and horrible service we received. We brought our van for inspection last year. It failed inspection due to ball joints needing to be replaced. What the heck is a ball joint? Well we found out quickly. We were given a cost that was too expensive for us so we took our vehicle to a family friend. Saved us $250 but wasn't done properly. We enter back for inspection. Failed again. We planned to travel within the week for a family funeral so it was a requirement to be completed. The mechanic showed us what was wrong and warned us how if we drove we could crash terribly. He suggested we buy the piece needed and repaired another mechanics error for about $100. It was a painful cost but required. After that experience we swore to only go to a shop and we thought we found it since they seemed so honest.A year later (September 2017) we took our car for inspection again. We failed due to brakes only. The previous breaks done were by a family friend and we paid $100. Due to our unfortunate problem before, we choose just to tllet the shop do the breaks. We brought the can in it did not squeak nor did we notice any issues with pushing the breaks. However, they said they were bad so we trusted them. They charged us around $300 for replacing our breaks. Painful for a family of five but necessary to pass inspection so we scheduled and got it done. My husband was told he was paying for the best brakes. He specifically asked about the a lifetime of breaks and was told if you purchase the a better breaks they last longer. Great! We normally go cheap so this should last right? Passed inspection. A few days later we notice squeaking. Waited a few days and brought the van in. The mechanic said it's normal for NEWER breaks to squeak for a short period due to air but should pass after driving for some time.After googling that some breaks do squeak but should stop after a few hundred miles we brought the car back yesterday. A month and a 700 mile trip later. We were told to bring it back in the morning and speak with the owner. This morning we called first. The lady who told us to bring the car back today informed us that the owner said we knew the break type we got and it would squeak. I'm sorry who agrees to spend $300 on squeaking breaks??? No ma'am we did not when can we meet the owner? So were asked to come in at 11. My husband rescheduled his orientation to come back. He got there a little after 11 but showed up. He is not greeted by any words other than asking for the keys so they I can check the car. They check the car, put some glaze on it and say they don't hear any more squeaking. They tell my husband they are not replacing the breaks because again he knew that we were paying for the cheapest breaks and that they would squeak. My husband drives the car away thinking well the squeak is gone...light at witchduck and we are still squeaking.The owner never said one word to my husband today. And let me tell you for a fact my husband called me several times when the breaks were being out on. I specifically asked him to ask the mechanic are we getting better quality breaks for the price they were charging and the mechanic told my husband yes. Today he was told we paid for cheap breaks. We are a family of five! We could've paid someone $100 bucks to place cheap breaks and they not squeak. In over 20 years we have never had breaks squeak until we brought them to this shop. We are disappointed that we thought we found a trustworthy shop to bring our van to gave us false information about the quality of the breaks we were receiving. But most disappointed that the owner himself sat there and didn't even come over to talk. A simple I'm sorry about the mix up but this is what we can do. No we didn't have to get brand new breaks put back on that's a loss to his shop. But even say hey we can keep them glazed and when you need the replaced again we can take of a % for the inconvenience. We will be taking our van elsewhere going forward and suggest you do the same.

I have been a customer since 2013 and have had nothing but great experiences each time my vehicle has been serviced. I use this facility for all my vehicle needs including tires. I own a Lexus and prefer using this shop over the dealership and will continue to do.

Just wanted to thank the team at EXPRESS AUTO for taking time to not only fix my car, but give me a plan of action to keep it running for many years to come. Just being able to know what is needed now and what can be done in the near future for most people is awesome. Dealerships tend to make everything seem at the top of the list. When I come to pick my car up, you guys walk me through what I need to tackle next and in order of importance. This to me is invaluable. Super! They were fast and gave me estimates on time and stayed true to the estimates and did a great job on my sons 2004 Prius!! and while we were there, the owner noticed that my sons auto key wasn't working. He took the key a part, and took a battery from his own key and put it in my sons to make it work again, all for no charge!! Will definitely use these guys again! Thank you!!

Bob at Express Auto runs a stand-up operation. I went in for an inspection, and Bob was able to show me each step of the process, pointing out areas off concern. I legitimately saw the tire tread and brake wear as measured by the tool. Bob was able to get me a great deal on a couple new tires and install brake pads the same day. Highly recommended for professional, friendly, trustworthy, and quick auto service.
