This last experience with Checkered Flag Toyota was absolutely horrible. So let me explain in detail. We dropped the car off on Friday afternoon at 3:30pm for a 7:30am Saturday appointment. We needed oil change and state inspection. We were not informed that state inspection was 1st come 1st served at that time. So the next morning at approx. 8am, we received a text explaing that we didn't need an oil change but a tire rotation. I replied to go ahead with the tire rotation and state inspection. So 4 hours later, we haven't heard a peep from service. We called, was then told that it was 1st come 1st serve for state inspections and that we were way down on the list because, wait for it, they were still doing vehicles left over from Friday. So who was the service manager that made that decision to still allow cars to be dropped off Saturday morning for state inspections, when you had leftovers from the previous day? Then on top of that, you had customers with scheduled appointments that were then placed in line for the state inspections, left there, without doing any of the other scheduled maintenance for the appointment? Seriously, what manager made that ignorant decision? Oh I know, the one that puts money over customer service, that's who. The one who is afraid to make the call to stop taking state inspections until they are caught up, that guy. So if a so called manager cannot make a simple decision like that, to make sure that customers are taken care of in a timely manner, then what else are they lacking? We have bought from them for over 20+ years, but that will change with the next purchase for there are plenty of other Toyota dealerships in the HR area.

I went here to inquire about getting a master key for my Scion made. I only needed it to get remote start installed by another installation company. Well the young lady at the service ounter was outstanding. I believe her name was Kelly but I could be wrong. She took me to Stephanie who was not just beautiful but very professional, tactful and she took a personal interest in resolving my problem whether I was going to buy my $500.00 key and get it and my computer reprogrammed or not. She even called Steve who used his diagnostic computer to check to see if my valet key had the same program or not. They didn't have to do that. They just made a custom out of me. That's where I want to buy my next Toyota from!

Bought a Hybrid Grand Highlander from Checked Flag in VA Beach last week. The sales people were friendly and I felt appreciated. It is definitely a learning experience driving a Hybrid if you never have!

At the beginning of the year, I was interested in buying Tundra. I was picking up some Chinese food and I saw a lady driving a new Sequoia. She was very nice and friendly and shared the good information about her vehicle. Who would have known that the young lady was Shannon the Sales and Finance Manager at Checkered Flag Toyota. She gave me her card and I sent her an e-mail of my vehicle desires. She e-mailed me back and asked me to come in to the dealership. The next day I went to the dealership, met Shannon again and she introduced me to Marc. I test drove the Hybrid Tundra and I absolutely loved it. I was very transparent about my credit and income and they were transparent with what they can do. I got approved at an AWESOME rate and my dream truck is out of my mind and in my driveway. I am truly thankful to Shannon, Marc and the Checkered Flag Toyota team for making my goals a reality.

The dealership certainly offered the best experience that I ve had in years. I especially want to give my appreciation to my product specialist, Daryl, for his open honesty and fair dealings. He helped me find the car I want at a great price!I have never had a no haggle car purchase before and he handled it very well. I negotiated the payment I wanted on a truck that was still in production and held it with a $500 deposit. When the truck came in, I had to fight to get the original terms honored. (They made it work with some creative math.) Now two weeks later I find out that the car we traded in hasn t been paid off yet. Management was less than supportive when we called to resolve the payment issue.Long story short: The vehicle is great, but the purchase experience isn t.

Alex and Peter were great to work with. No high pressure sales tactics were used by either. Peter explained all paperwork which took a minimal amount of time. He explained features of the car and made himself available for me to come back with questions.

It took 20min to be checked in for my appointment, for which my service provider was not prepared with my vehicle history. My car was not serviced or inspected for another six hours, and by 4:30 when the results were sent to me, it was far too late for me to consider accepting any of the recommended services. My service provider confused me for three different people via phone call, text, and in person throughout the day.

I was told that I needed an alignment with a 1 year old vehicle with 20k miles. I ended saying yes even though all I thought I signed up for was an oil change. After waiting 90 minutes past my scheduled appointment in the waiting area, my car had not been brought back. I asked to have the alignment taken off and she wouldn t budge. She said that it would be another 2-3 hours from then before my car would be ready. I had to call my husband to come pick me up and he got her to take the alignment off.

I had a truly honest, transparent and high value new vehicle purchase experience at Checkered Flag Toyota on 11/30/2023. Sales team members Alex Aguilar and Sam Orton provided needed information and other relevant insights that made the purchase process all-around easy. I would also like to recognize General Sales Manager Arron Hall for taking his time to share stories, work with us and clearly prioritize that a fair deal is core to how business is done at Checkered Flag Toyota. Moreover, General Manager Bryan Lane recognizes that managing onsite inventory far excides setting vehicle prices and does his part to ensure the customer experience is as close to perfect as the circumstances will allow. Having purchased several Lexus vehicles in the past, the sales and management team at Checkered Flag Toyota are spot on when it comes to providing a customer experience one would have with purchasing a new Lexus.

Outstanding customer service. Have taken my vehicles to them for service since 1993. They are always very good and stand behind their work. I have delt with another local Toyota dealer as well as the compnay that bought them out. Was never impressed with either one. I highly recommend Checkered Flag Toyota. Checkered Flag Toyota- Worst Dealership ever!! I had my SUV towed bc it was damaged by a business nd inoperable. I explained to the advisor what happened nd that i needed a detailed diagnosis to submit a claim for the damage. approximately four days later they sent a basic diagnosis only stating that they found a worn/weak part that they believe needs to be replaced- nd suggested to start there . WHAT DOES THAT MEAN??? are they guessing? was that related to the damage? needless to say, my claim was denied due to lack of explanation of the damage. I took it to this Toyota Dealership to to get an expert Toyota diagnosis but was told by the service manager that it would be unethical to say the other business caused it. I did not ask them to finger point at anyone- just to detail the problem but they were totally focused on up-selling me three pages of recommended services- FOR AN INOPERABLE VEHICLE!!! totally unbelievable, I had it towed out of there.

I had an AC problem with my Rav 4 I purchased elsewhere. My first visit no error message- & air was blowing cold. It was an intermittent problem. We can no longer call our advisor, and they no longer call us. We can't get through to them, we can't text them, we have absolutely no freaking way to contact them until they decide to text us. How very unprofessional, how very uncaring and thoughtless you have become. If we have a problem we have to go through a very impersonal, rigid, non customer friendly call center. My situation was one where due to damage to one of my tires and the mileage on the truck at the time, I decided to replace all 4 tires. Having obtained outside estimates for the tires I wanted I came to Toyota to see what they could do. To my surprise, in an apples to apples comparison, Toyota beat the estimates of 2 national discount tire chains- and had the tires in stock- facilitating the repairs the same day. Worst service in the world ....Do not buy your vehicle from here... Alyssa has no clue what she is doing and the service team management should be there to fill in gaps and pick up the slack for there service advisors but decided not to do that today and the customer was completely inconvenienced because of it.

Dallas was my service representative and did a great job. He was very friendly, answered all of my questions, and had my vehicle completed in the estimated time he gave me. He even took the time to ask the mechanics about the type of oil they used in my vehicle. Erin provides great customer service. Jacob is very knowledgeable on tires and has good recommendations. I ended buying 2 sets of tires for my car and my dad s truck and am highly satisfied with the purchases. Together, they both gave me a good experience.
