Outstanding service from start to finish. Doug Becker was my collision consultant and kept me updated on everything throughout the repair process. I had around 16k worth of damage to the rear end of my 6 month old Golf R, and when they were done, you would never know anything had happened to it. They went above and beyond to avoid paint lines from tape (to the point that they repainted the entire roof rather than just the back end that needed repainted).

I got my car fixed in 10/09/2023, the Lifetime Limited Collision Repair Warranty says: do not wax or go through any drive thru car washed for 60 days . The first time I washed my car manually was last weekend, 02/17/2024. I see some scratches from the collision. I m very disappointed, frustrated and upset. I do not recommend their services.Update: they contacted me right away, it means their services feedback is really important. I m sure their services are very professional. The customers are treated very well and all services are done to get excellence.

Fantastic facility, friendly office folks and techs, know what they are doing!! They detailed my baby and when I got her back after rhe accident she looked better than they day I got her. Highly recommended!!

Hmmmm I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the exemplary customer service that I recieved at Checkered Flag Range Rover from Ms. Micah Range. She was both a subject matter expert on the vehicle of my dreams and she made the entire car buying experience so fun that Inwas able to enjoy the fact that I was making such a purchase. Furthermore, her customer service and follow up after the sale made me feel valued and respected as a human being and a customer. I will refer my closest friends to her with complete confidence.

I'll get straight to the point I've had my car's back bumper replaced here back in 2015 and the folks at that time did a great job. Turn around was fast, employees were nice, I had follow up calls.I got into a fender bender this October 2017, where my hood crunched. I went back to this place and scheduled my appointment for the vehicle. After dropping off my car, I waited a week and was curious to why I had no follow up call. I called in to check on the status of my car and it seemed as if no one knew what was happening with my vehicle, they asked to call me back.I get a call back that same day and the folks said that they finally had the insurance folks scheduled to look at my car and it was going to be another week. Fine, no big deal. The following week, I didn't receive any follow up on my car. I called towards the end of the week and after being transferred one too many times, I finally got on the phone with someone and they said, my car had needed x-amount of work done and that it would be done by sometime next week. Again, no big deal as long as I know it is being cared for.Another week rolls by, I still don't hear any follow up. I called on a Thursday because I was told that day would be ideal to check back in I called in and they said it will be another week. By this point, I'm wondering why they haven't bothered to call To at least update me. They explained to me a bunch of items that needed to be done and the insurance company sent me a new bill on new charges.I was carless for about 4 weeks until one day, I decided to personally make a visit to the body shop. Reception folks don't have much of a personality to greet you, as they are more concerned with you getting out of their way. I asked to see my car and the main guy (who I will keep nameless) came out to greet and show me my car. In almost 4 weeks, my car's front end assembly was laying on the floor. I thought to myself, what the hell is going on here? He explained to me everything and pointed a few things to me that somewhat made sense to me, but was clear enough to give me insight what my car needed. The gentlemen who was assembling my vehicle said it would be done before Friday.I wait until the next week and I get a call on Thursday that my car was ready. I show up, receptionist gives me my keys, and goes about her business. Again, the lack of customer service personality just kills the experience.My car is parked and I noticed unusual alignment. Bumper is not flushed neatly to my headlamps, hood is not flushed with my fender, as it shows to be positioned slightly lower in height.Not having a vehicle for nearly 4 weeks, no follow up calls, and then a car that was botched together? No, not acceptable at all. I don't plan to be in an accident again, but if I ever have an issue with my car, I'm never coming back here again. For the folks reading this, just do yourself a huge favor and don't visit these folks. Customer Service lacks terribly and I know this because I used to work at a car dealership, I know how important those calls are.As a token, they vacuumed my car, shined my wheels, and threw on a massive amount of Amor All on my dashboard. worst treatment ever dealing with a dealership? Bought my truck 5 years ago from them. when it came time for some body work I spent 1 day getting an estimate--long waits . Made an appointment to have repairs done. when i tried to drop off car, i was told they could not do repairs without access to an insurance company " in case more was needed beyond esimate I was given"'.Two days pay lost and time spent wasted. will not deal with them again

They don t answer the phone. I had to drive there as they never returned my call. Couldn t even make an appointment to get my repaired. They said I should email the scheduler. I did. No response. I guess they have too much business

Huge thanks to the entire Body Shop team for getting my beloved MINI back and better than it was before my accident!! They are obviously very experienced professionals in restoring vehicles, and they are the only ones I've trusted with any of my cars.

ETA my 2019 car now LEAKS because they did not put it back together correctly. I am paying $5k out of pocket to have my repairs redone, because they refused to make good on their guarantee .ETA I was expecting to consult with a service advisor when I first dropped off and do a walk around of my vehicle. I got totally sidetracked by the receptionist issue that it didn t even occur to me that it never happened at drop off. The manager is claiming that the dings in my hood paint and the cut on my door must be pre existing, but he can t prove it because they didn t do a walk around with me. The whole premise of me doing all repairs through them instead of using my own PDR technician was so they could restore my vehicle to its pre-hail glory. They assured me if the paint was disturbed by the PDR process they would fix it and my vehicle wouldn t have evidence of the hail storm.Giving 1 star because when I went to pick up my car there were small round chips in the hood and also a deep cut in my door that looked like it was done with a knife/tool or something. My car was damaged by huge hail-100s of dents. Really bad storm near Pooler GA a few weeks ago. They had the audacity to tell me those small round chips were pre-existing stone chips and that is why they were not repaired. Why do they look incredibly fresh with no flaking or rust around them, you can still see bright white where the primer coat was recently exposed. I am pretty sure it was from the PDR process removing the dents, but even if it wasn t, isn t hail literal rocks of ice falling from the sky? I must have a really dumb looking face to get this treatment.I have always found beauty and admired cars and have a passion for sports cars, body design, and worked as a claims adjuster. I am the type to pick the furthest spot in the parking lot to minimize the chance of people dinging up my car. I feel like they think I know nothing about a car and physical damage to a car and they can fool me and rush me out of the door with incomplete repairs and whatever that knife mark is in my car door. I am not sure what my car did to them to make them want to shank it.They already knew I was upset about the receptionist and you would think they would cross their T s and dot their I s on my repair.I had 2 terrible experiences with the receptionist. Don t have it back yet. Really bummed that my first interaction was so sour with that receptionist. I don t know why they can t find someone to work with reception who understands that if a customer needs help and can t find where you are it is not a personal attack that requires you to immediately have an attitude, and all you have to do is come grab them from the customer lobby. She also wouldn t let me talk to a service advisor to try to schedule an appointment the week prior, told me I had to have everything from my claims adjuster before I could talk to anyone. This led to my claims adjuster telling me how things are *usually* done for hail damage, which is NOT how Checkered Flag does it.I did waste an afternoon and the afternoon of a dent removal technician who gave me a quote, because I was not allowed to talk to a Checkered Flag advisor by the same receptionist who was very rude and defensive when I showed up to drop off my vehicle. Could have been avoided.The manager let it slip that the receptionist is dealing with something in her personal life, but that is no excuse for her taking out her issues on customers at 8am when the day hasn t even started yet. Composure is so important in the job role she has. Maybe there are other jobs out there for someone who flips out on customers when they are having problems outside of work.Overall the experience has been subpar, and watch out if their receptionist is in a bad mood.Service: Body & Trim

Awesome stuff. Doug and Bryan are excellent consultants. They are very understanding and easy to talk to. They fix the problem on my car quick and easy. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks Doug and Bryan for everything.

The customer service for the collision side of this body shop is the worst!!! Checkered Flag had my vehicle for over a month and gave me the run around about completion. I am not sure if they had a back log of vehicles, or if they just mismanaged their time on vehicles, but manner at which they handled my claim was unacceptable. I had to return my rental car after 30 days and Checkered Flag did not assist with a solution for my vehicle needs. I was unable to get a straight answer on the status of the work daily and every time I called it would be another 2-3 days. I finally received my vehicle after the timeless calls and visits for status. I hope to not have to use these services in the future, but if so I hope that Checkered Flag has a better communication flow between customers and employees.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I was in a collision and decided to get the repair done at Checkered Flag Body Shop since I had purchased my vehicle from Checkered Flag Toyota but I highly do not recommend it! The list of problems I ve encountered will take over a page long. To keep it short, I was encountering one issue after another with the repair. The repair to the body of the car looks great but the problems is internal such as dashboard lights coming on or ac issues. If you continually reach out, your voicemails and emails will be ignored. I ve reached out to my insurance stating my concerns and there s nothing they can do about it since they have already paid the body shop. There are plenty of other body shops. My advice is go somewhere else for repairsServices: Painting, Electrical, Body & Trim

My car repair took longer than expected. Victoria and Don reserved a vehicle for me at no cost since my rental maxed out with my insurance company until my car repairs were completed. Once I got my vehicle back I noticed some adhesive still left over and called them. Victoria asked me to bring the vehicle back so they could take a look turns out it was just adhesive residue and Don took his time to clean the area and even removed plastic that was still in the dash from when I originally purchased the vehicle. I really appreciate them they went above and beyond service. I would recommend them to anyone.Service: Body & Trim

This is a follow-up to the review I posted previously. After learning of my experience through the review I gave of the poor service, I was contacted by Bryan Dana. Bryan apologized although he was not the individual I was working with and assured me he would take care of the situation. I was skeptical initially; however, Bryan followed through with his promise. Bryan called with updates almost daily; he ordered the rear tail light and it was received in a matter of days! Within a week, Bryan ordered and received the tail light and replaced the damaged one on my vehicle! I truly appreciate all of his efforts in correcting a problem he did not create. Thank you, Bryan Dana, for exhibiting exceptional customer service and professionalism!This by far is the ABSOLUTE WORST body shop I have EVER dealt with! I was the victim of a hit & run in October 2021 & this body shop had my vehicle until February 2022 and I am STILL trying to get my vehicle fully repaired! Their communication is horrible! After several messages without a call back I went there and was given the manager as my point of contact. Initially he kept me informed of what was going on, but since February 28th I have been waiting on a tail light for my 2019 Genesis G80 Sport and a trunk release button casing. I ve tried to reach the manager, Don Kuhlmey, after he told me in April the tail light is on back order with no ETA, but have not been able to reach him. So yet again, I had to take time from my work day to go to the shop to get an update just to be told 1. Don isn t available 2. Nothing is noted in the system in regards to a tail light, so I had to recap everything to the technician because no one has any information on it. 3. It doesn t appear the tail light was ever ordered! I am BEYOND livid, this is the worst service I ve EVER experienced. This was my first & last time using Checkered Flag Body shop!! The only bright spot is my experience with the sales & service department at Checkered Flag on Sentara Way has been amazing, but the body shop is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLEServices: Painting, Body & Trim, Welding

I would not recommend this service facility for collision repairs. We had our Sienna towed in after an accident thinking that it is a Toyota authorized facility, and that they'd do a good job repairing our vehicle. The repairs took longer than expected due to a wrong initial assessment, and even some wrong parts installed on my vehicle from a different model year - front grille. Upon weeks of waiting, I was finally called in to pick up my vehicle. further inspection revealed that there were multiple plastic clips missing and the front bumper misaligned. Had to leave the vehicle overnight again for them to apparently correct the problem. Now a little over 6 months later, I went to change the oil and noticed even more clips missing from the bottom partial engine cover- unacceptable. Since I'm not the primary driver of the vehicle, I didn't even notice until the other day that the windshield washers don't work. Upon further inspection, it looks like the nozzles were damaged during hood repaint/ repair. Went on to inspect the rest of the repair and found wiring behind the bumper not attached and secured, the bumper cover loose on one side.Bottom line is, I can't recommend this repair facility as their team does not appear to take pride in what they do, nor do they appear to want to restore your vehicle to it's original condition.I wonder how many people don't look underneath their vehicle and how many parts and fasteners are missing.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I just picked my car up from having body work completed after an accident. While I was a bit apprehensive based on reviews I had read, I decided to give this shop a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The level of attention and service I received was excellent. From start to finish Don and his team kept me informed and answered my many questions with patience. The quality of the work done to my car was also impressive. Overall, I am one satisfied customer based on quality work, the team s depth of knowledge, and great customer service.

Extremely dissatisfied.Delayed multiple times and lack of professionalism.I dropped the car on a Monday and it was supposed to be ready on a Friday.It was delayed to mid next week.After that ended up being on the Friday.After that it was supposed to be ready on Tuesday, then Thursday and after harsh call it ended up being ready on Friday of third week.I tried to talk to the manager to understand what was going on. No success in multiple tentatives.Instead I ended up with a super rude call from the agent asking me why I calling his manager !?!Total lack of professionalism.I strongly do NOT recommend it!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I was recently in a fender bender and was referred to checkered body shop by my car dealership since it was pretty much a new model. I had to walk in though to make an appointment just for the estimates since it was really hard to get the lady in charge on the phone but I was able to get an estimate super fast to get to my insurance and turn around for ordering parts and repairs was about two weeks. The actual car was only in the shop for 5 days. However they gave me daily updates and pictures on my car, and even made the adjustments with my insurance when they found more damage, and they even clean my car for me inside and out which is fantastic! Overall I had a fairly awesome experience for a situation that already cause a headache and I would definitely recommend and use them again. It just requires some patience.

I literally went in, in a panic and upset someone had scratched my car. First the young man who greeted me was incredibly kind, and patient with me explaining what happened. He was very punctual and was able to quickly get the assistance I needed. Secondly the young lady that he had to come and assist me with the estimate I needed was awesome! She was first super friendly and made sure she could see everything I was showing her. She absolutely did everything she could and the team blessed me like no other! The work was absolutely amazing my car came back and it was like what scratch . It made my day completely! Will definitely be recommending to all my friends here! Along with anything else I would ever need done this is the place for me! Thank y all!

go there they had to paint rh quarter and blend the paint to the rh rear door. the car two months old with perfect door . went to pick up and the door is now wavy paint and has fish eyes in the paint. new with no damage to wavy paint and fish eyes in paint.

I've had my old, 330ci in this body shop twice in the past 18 months for dents & paint work. Both times, my visits were relatively small (~$1000) and not backed by an insurance provider. The manager, Donald, helped me both times with a fair price and ensured that the work met my expectations. All the work was completed on time and I even took advantage of their convenient shuttle service on one visit.The prices I paid substantially beat the other quotes I received. The office was so chaotic at Charles Barker on Cleveland that I couldn't even get a quote when I dropped by. I was raised to avoid dealerships; but thanks to the great experiences Donald provided, I'm going to explore getting my BMWs serviced at Checkered Flag now.

While the actual repairs to my car were very good, the service and staff were not. Called several (5) times when my car was not ready as promised and was told each time that manager would call me back. I never received any call backs. When I finally went to get my car, the receptionist (who is the one that keep promising me call backs) handed me my paperwork and said car should be out front somewhere. Never again.

Took my car there to have an estimate,they set my appointment a week before Christmas,and they had it done in 3 days. It looked brand new. Great job great customer service and i will highly recommend them to anyone. Doug was great.

I went through the riptide car wash on little creek and the blowers at the end of the car wash partially detached the exterior roof moulding on my 2018 Toyota Tacoma sport. Very frustrated as I didn t think that should have happened, I came to Checkered Flag Toyota body shop to see if it might be a quick or easy fix. Luckily, Victoria was up front. Without hesitation she asked me for the keys and drove it back to the body shop. David was able to adjust the clip and got it on there securely. She brought it back up, didn t charge me a thing, and even suggested I bring it back if it gives me any more trouble. Great service! Thank you thank you!!!

Took my Car in for an estimate on scratch damages and Bryan (hope I spelled it correctly) was able to buff out the scratches on the spot! I was so impressed because I thought the damages were worse than him just being able to buff it out on the spot. The other damage he explained parts and the steps it would take to fix it in order for me to make an informed decision. Thanks so much!!! I would definitely recommend Bryan and Checkered Flag Body Shop!

The process was very simple and everyone I dealt with was courteous and well versed in their specific job. The work took a little longer than anticipated but that was due to them having to wait for parts to be shipped. Over I was very pleased with the work and the service.

I hate to do this because I have never written a bad review, but I also don't want someone else to go through what I did. I had to get a new bumper, and get some wires fixed after I was in an accident. Doesn't seem like it would take that long right? WRONG.They had my car for 24 days. I was told 3 different times I would get it back on so and so day, but it was always being pushed back. I was also told I would get phone calls for updates, but no I always had to call. They would also put me on hold and hang up on me, or put me on hold and transfer me without a heads up.They kept trying to blame it on my insurance, but State Farm was amazing and did an estimate within 2 days of it being there.Needless to say I will never take my car back there.

2 day job for a small scratch took 2 weeks. Went over insurance limit because of 2 weeks had to pay the shop money and rental car money with insurance claim. Also found a piece of plastic fallen off under passenger seat dashboard, it wasn't broken but the principal of it. Also did not get car back with full gas where I left it. Also when you call there number you will be transferred to body shop and the people at the front desk cannot see anything about your car, no type of status and when they transfer you to the person who can help you, they don't answer 9/10 times, they only answered when I blew up their phone 5 times a day. Don't bring anything here.
