The manager (Isaac) was pleasant and informed me of their service standards for a brake job and gave me a quote after inspection of my vehicle so I could make an informed decision before any other work began. They followed through and completed the job that I wanted very quickly and the price was very reasonable. Much better than going to a dealership where the cost would have been more than double.

Don't bring your car here, no receptionist to easily get your car in line to get worked on. Then someone who comes in after me gets in before me, due to their race in my Opinion. I'm walking out of this building now. Do better and get a better receptionist.

The manager, Isaac Perry, was pretty busy when we stopped in so he tried other locations for us. We preferred this location so he asked me to come back the next morning around 8am. The who process only too about an hour and a half. There was no pressure to get other work done. I will definitely continue to come to this location, even though it is not tge closest to us. You can tell that management is fully involved with the shop and staff.

Isaac was fantastic!! From my first call to him on the phone to when I walked in the front door to when we shook hands as I was leaving. He got me in and taken care the same day while I waited. If your car needs anything - do yourself a favor and go see Isaac at Big Al s on VB Blvd. Thank you again for your service as a Marine for our great country, Isaac!! God Bless You!!

This shop here is a blessing. I had surgery done, and my car was making a loud noise. Issac was so generous to help me out. I was hungry due to surgery not being able to eat. He offered me a banana a cup of coffee, and the service they did to my car was honest and on point. I thank you sir for making my visit an awesome one. Oh and the seats was comfortable lol

Big Al s on Virginia beach, VA lost a customer after my last experience. I brought a vehicle to them one way, and got it back with other issues. I bring it back to get those issues fixed on the date that they gave me (Reservation) and was basically forced to wait behind all the other jobs for the day. Lack of communication, bits of inaccuracy when they did choose to communicate. I will not put myself through this again. I recommend going other places, theres nothing special going on there.

Had a fantastic experience here! As soon as I walked in, Isaac greeted me with a smile and made pleasant small talk as he filled out the RO. Extremely polite and friendly and happily answered any question I had. Would highly recommend!!

When doing some Google searching I was anticipating (and dreading) my muffler replacement to cost significantly more than I was charged at Big Al's. When they told me the price over the phone I literally jumped for joy. I also got my rear brakes replaced and it still costed less than what I expected just the muffler to cost. Staff were all very friendly and personable as well. Highly recommend this location to anyone needing exhaust or brake work.

I'm the manager of a small car rental company in Charlotte NC and we needed help when a vans brakes starting scrubbing on a customer. Big Al's took the vehicle in and put brakes on it on a Saturday for my customer. They were super helpful and would recommend them to anyone. They did a great job!

Everything was amazing and they explained everything before they did it great place to bring ur car AND LADIES YOU WILL NOT BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF WHEN U COME HERE!! My best friend and i have been bringing are cars here for a little over 4 years before big als it was the shop that was on the corner of witchduck and va bch Blvd what is now 711 so big als its is for most of ur car issues. Watch out for CATILAC CONVERTER FOLKS OUT HERE TAKING THEM GET U A CAT CAGE...Positive vibes and good energy STAY WOKE!!

I took my car here for a diagnostic and everyone was very friendly at first. The gentleman who was handling customers in the front remained friendly throughout, he provided great service. When I heard back from them a day and a half later they told me what was wrong with the car and gave me a quote - I told them I was going to call around and I would call back and let them know how I would proceed. I found 2-3 other shops that could do the same repair for half the price, so I called Big Al s and told them I would pay for the diagnostic but I wanted to take the car elsewhere for repair.My boyfriend and I returned to pick up the car on our lunch break because I figured it would be quick. The gentleman who seems to be the boss (this is who I spoke with on the phone regarding the issue and the quotes) was sitting in the front office having a conversation with someone so we sat down assuming he would get to us in a few minutes, we were the only other people waiting.20 minutes go by and by this point I have heard the entire conversation between the 2 in the front office and it has NOTHING to do with a car repair or service, it was like they were old friends just catching up on life. We wait another 10 minutes and he just continues to ignore us. We stand up thinking ok this is getting ridiculous considering I just needed to pay for the diagnostic and get the keys. We walk towards the office.. continually ignored. Finally we flag down the first guy who initially helped us and tell him that we ve been waiting 30+ min and we both had to get back to work. He goes and talks to the boss guy and he and other guy finally go outside, he still did not even acknowledge us once.The moral of the story is it was made extremely clear that that were happy to help us until we decided we were going somewhere else for the repair.

Crazy markup in parts. I was charged $170.99 for an ignition coil plus labor. All local auto parts stores have them for $79.99. I will never do business at this darken their door again.

My car got a rejection for inspection due to an exhaust issue. Called Big Al s spoke with Michael he did not have any openings but he offered to call around to other locations to see if he could get me in.He called me back in 5 minutes and sent me to another location and there was no wait there!!! All I can say bravo Michael!! Your customer service was excellent! Thank you for loving your job!

Called 6 places to get break pads for a failed VA inspection. They were by far the cheapest of them all, great customer service and used coupon with no problem.. and didn't try to force me into unneeded new rotors.. well return and suggest to others. 100% great experience.
