A+++ Service!!! Took my 2007 RR HSE L322 in for an oil change and coolant check/top off and Rob had my truck scheduled and completed in a timely manner. Rob is experienced and very knowledged in Range Rovers with great techs under his watch to support. Highly recommend for those who need servicing on Range Rovers. Dealer recommended. Trusted mechanic. Will continue my business at Abacus Racing.

Seth is the best machinist in the area. I had them build my 2000 Mustang GT motor and after working through some assembly errors the end result was 450hp to the wheels and a screamer of a motor. Best shop in the area.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

A class act.My Land Rover Defender 90 needed a home in regards to routine maintenance and repairs. This is it.Rob and Chuck are great guys, and 100 percent professional. I'm totally impressed with the way this shop does business, and most importantly, I'm totally impressed with the folks that do all the work behind the scenes.I had a multitude of knick knack repairs, and Abacus tackled each and every one. Defender parts aren't just down the street. You have to have a relationship with the parts companies and get things ordered and shipped. You also understand what part is the right one.I was made fully aware of the work that needed to be done, along with timelines, most importantly, estimated price. Rob and staff was very accommodating, and worked well with my busy schedule. They were friendly, punctual, and went above and beyond the job. I was able to pick my SUV up after hours. I dropped it off to get tires put on, and picked up a freshly cleaned car with all my brake dust wiped away. Would highly recommend! Thank you Abacus!

I dealt with the machine shop on 2 occasions and it has been very professional and the work is second to none. I had my Subaru motor assembled and the heads worked and it was very well done. Call and ask for Chuck, you won't be sorry.

Owners of 1980-1990's "modern classic" Ferraris who reside in or around the Richmond area live is a sort of Ferrari service desert. For no specialized independent shops in Richmond are recommended by the resident Ferrari community, the usual course of action is to take their car for maintenance to the Washington DC area - or beyond. And that's what I was doing too, until I decided to give Rob and the crew at Abacus Racing a try.I am glad I did: the "engine out" maintenance service on my car was done right and at the right price, given the complexity of the job. Not only, but communication was good (it's a busy shop but Rob is always easily reachable) during the entire process and, having driven my car for a full two months now since being serviced I can say that Rob and his crew crossed and the "T"'s and dotted all the "I''s. No issues cropped up following the engine-out service (no mystery noises, no weird or unexpected quirks, etc.) and, among other things, my seat-of-the-pants dyno tells me the engine was timed just right.Thank you Rob, Tim and whoever else worked on this maintenance project for a job well done: I will gladly see you again when the need arises.Services: Engine repair, Motor building, Vehicle maintenance

This race shop does awesome work. My 04 Land Rover runs like new and they never push sales tactics on you. They are upfront with cost and they communicate all possible outcomes and factors when fixing your car and or SUV. I will continue to take my SUV there for any future work.

Chuck does top notch machine work, and both he and Rob provide outstanding work and customer support. I've come to Abacus for machine work and Dyno tuning for years and have always been treated well by them. Very fair pricing as well. Thanks guys!

I've been using Abacus for over 20 years for all of my machine work as well as some restoration work on my Triumph. They do tremendous work and their attention to details is superb. There is no other machine shop locally that I would trust my vehicles with. Simply put, these guys know what they are doing and do it right every time.

Abacus is a great find for your automotive restoration needs. I have a '65 Mustang that needed a new wiring harness after 54 years. Chuck and the team knocked it out in a few weeks, added some modern lights, and made it all look absolutely clean throughout. Their quality is tempting me to buy another restomod project and let the Abacus team have at it.

The people that work here are very nice and reasonable. They try to do the most for your money and not just feed you some garbage. They were super friendly and very respectful and very very knowledgeable. I will be going here again if I have any problems!

Experienced and professional staff, building engines for over 30 years, everything from 1909 to todays state of the art engines. Specialists in antique and custom machining for hi-performance imports. Have spent hours on their chassis dyno and have had nothing but great service and helpful solutions..

Brought my shock in to see if they could press the bolt sleeve back into the rubber bushing, explained to Steve what happened and he took a look at it and said he'd see what he could do. Less than 10 mins later he came back with the job done!

NIGHTMARE SHOP!!! STAY AWAY!!! WARN OTHERS!!!If you would like me to explain how the last YEAR AND A HALF has led me to this day, where instead of re-assembling 1400 dollars of machine work on my irreplaceable, antique engine, I am sitting behind a desk , head in my hands, having built a civil suit against Abacus Racing, message me.I won't mind taking the time to spare anyone the PAIN, suffering, and loss that I have experienced with this circle of liars, and completely incompetent "machinists". Insufferable idiots, and I wouldn't wish this experience upon my worst enemy.Again, without the excruciating details about how they have left my rebuild in shambles, disrepair, ruined parts, trashed, without numbers to accurately back what they've done up (Blueprinting, which is what I paid for) shoot me a message. I won't mind further detailing this NIGHTMARE!!! STAY AWAY!!!
