We're from Alabama my husband loves riding the ferry over to Surry. We stopped and got gas and purchased so of the best bbq I've had away from home. Thank you for being so nice to everyone employees and customers. Such a kind and friendly place.

the store had some really good eats they made inside;however there was a customer that thought having a Glock 9mm with and extended clip, with no holster, hanging loose; well I think there might be some issues. not going back to this town;

Bacon's Castle country store as you probably have guessed is a very small old country store it's very popular. It sits on route 10 just a little bit past rushmere Virginia. well organized and they really have good food. they have fish sandwiches, cheese burgers, sausage biscuits etc. it can be sometimes a little bit crowded because they do have good food , and because they have gas pumps, and are situated pretty much in the middle of nowhere so I think they do very good business.The people who work in the store are very very cordial and extremely friendly. So if you in Bacon's Castle area or passing through, you may want to stop in and check them out.

Great place to stop while riding motorcycles, this store has hot foods, cold drinks and several snacks, Special thanks to the manager today who allowed me to leave my bike there due to motor problems and he would keep an eye on it until I return and that he did, again thanks a lot to him for being honorable and helping a motorcycle rider. Will stop by again.

We make a bi weekly travel through here and when we stop for lunch. The food is always delicious fried and baked chicken, mac,collard greens and apple or sweet potato pie when lucky. The staff are some the friendliest folk around.

The staff here are God sent. We stopped in to use the bathroom due to my nana having an accident. Every staff member we approached for help went way above and beyond helping us. The food smelled delicious and if we hadn't just had dinner we most certainly would have ordered something! The gas prices here were also very cheap! Make sure to stop in to fuel your body and car!

I like this gas station only complaint I have is it's only 4 gas pumps and the inconsiderate people who are NOT getting gas pulls to the pumps and hangs out and takes their time causing a line to form for the gas pumps. Did I mention that on both sides of the building have plenty of spaces to park?! They need to put out signs or get on the people who do that since it seems they are locals. Their food smells wonder although never have eaten from here bc it's always a line waiting or people talking and not worried about anything but themselves.

I just ran in for a breakfast sandwich. They make the best breakfast to go in Surry. And customer service is always on point.

Great home cooked food thats hard to beat. Gas prices equal and often the lowest around. Good folks work there.
