Jim and the crew at Shenandoah Valley Diesel were willing to work with me when things didn't go as planned with my Ford E 3500 Diesel Bus. They did good work, and worked with me graciously to figure out how to have things meet my budget. I could be more thankful for both their work and their attitude towards their customers. SVD was wonderful to work with when we were traveling and our Ram truck had the dreaded hard fault DEF system error where it shuts you down. We were able to limp to the shop and rented a car from Enterprise (also very good to work with) who picked us up. SVD diagnosed the exact problem, sourced a part quickly and finished ahead of estimated time. They were very fair in the pricing and did not try to gouge someone traveling and in a tight spot. I believe they work on all cars and trucks, not just diesel. I would go back there in a heartbeat!

I had trouble with my diesel van on Dec 12. These guys were great. They understood my situation and got me up and running in a short time. I m very thankful to them. The part that they put on my van is working good. They even called the next day to check on how the van was doing! If ever I m in need for my van to be fixed again and I m in the area I wouldn t hesitate to take it back to them! Great knowledgeable guys there!

My truck broke down on I-81 on a Sunday morning. I called The nearest truck repair shop which (fortunately)was Shenandoah Valley Diesel. Although they were closed Jim answered my phone call. He arranged a tow and Monday morning got to work on my truck. He and his crew quickly diagnosed and got my truck running great at a very reasonable price. It was a blessing. I live in N.H. but will use S.V.D for all my maintenance and repairs when I can. I have owned my own service station and I was treated how I would treat my customers, honestly and professionally. I would give Jim more than a 5 star rating if I could.Service: Engine repair

Jim was great in doing regular maintenance and then taking the time to also investigate a computer code my Sprinter van was throwing. I definitely will use them again for routine maintenance or if issues arise.And, when the hill was a solid sheet of ice, he offered to drive the van out to Middlebrook Avenue where it was dry. That was going above and beyond!

I must admit there's hope in the trucking industry. My clutch went out about 20 miles from delivery in Harrisonburg Va. My trk was towed to Freightliner dealership and was told it would be six days before they could look at it. As an new o/o I couldn't fathom that thought and called other shops. I spoke to Jim and they were busy as well but he understood my frustration and said let him check and he will call me back. Jim called back with a plan and got my trk towed to their's, repair my truck and back rolling in 1 1/2 days from initial phone call. Thanks Jim! Rodney

Got caught with turbo problems while going through Virginia from Texas. Found a part at the Ford place but they couldn't check out the truck. Found Jim through the internet. He was great!! Checked out the problem, put on the part and was so nice. God sent us to the right man for our fix. We were blessed by it greatly. Would recommend them to anyone!

Shenandoah Valley Diesel helped us get our truck fixed and back on the road quickly. Our truck broke down early in the morning and SVD got it fixed and our driver back on the road by lunchtime that same day. The price they charged us was very fair for it being an "emergency service".

Fast service, probably the most experienced mechanic in town, get it fixed the first time, instead of bringing it to Jim to repair some else's mistake.
