This place has been around for as long as I can remember. I've had inspections here over the years. A bit out of the way but worth it if you don't like to wait forever in a line.

This man is a local gem. I brought my car for an inspection and he was friendly and accommodating, while also being thorough. I'll definitely return when I need my vehicles inspected.

I drive out to Sedley every year so Mr. Barton can inspect my car. He's the only place I can take it to and not have to worry about being taken advantage of because I am female. Most shops would fail me just so they can make money on repairs but there's no worry of that with Mr. Barton! Thanks for staying open for us and for being great at what you do!!

I'm not sure if it's because I was a new customer to him or because most of his customers are older but I got a kind of dismissed vibe. I had called to ensure I was able to do a walk in inspection and to make sure he wasn't too busy and when I got there I was hardly acknowledged and was given very little information like where to park or pull up or anything. I got his information from two fellow coworkers and they've had good things to say but again they are regulars and older while I'm not even 30 yet. But again I think it's because I'm a new person to him. Either way try him for yourself and post a review that may be a bit more helpful than me. Also go to him if you know your car will pass because a 2 min fix was too much for him to handle to get my car to pass so I purchased the bulb I needed and installed it myself. I'll be heading to my regular body shop to get reinspected. But

Went to this place for inspection, before he inspected the vehicle he said my ditch lights needed a cover over them, I told he they were wired to a switch and unlit, even pulled up the va code that states that I can have clear lens ditch lights unlit, he proceeds to tell me he been inspecting for 45 years and I said that doesn't mean laws don't change. Then I went to talk to a state trooper and he concurred and said they are legal and that he was going to talk to him. State trooper even suggested another place for me to go for inspection, he was a great guy. Be careful going here he is not up to date on new laws.

It's a great little country shop. Always fun to go there and look at the cool things he has inside his shop. Not to mention the coldest can sodas ever. I never leave there without buying at least 1 Pepsi. Ask him for a rock that his wife writes on. He has them in a little box and u can pick your own rock. Mine says "Jesus loves me." I highly recommend Barton's.

Get my car's inspection here love it the 20min wait time is worth it you get to talk to different people about the lord also the place is very clean and the owner is very nice

Friendly . Knows what he doing . I went there twice n no problem with him or vehicles to get inspected. I would recommend that everyone go there for inspection .
