Terrible mechanic work. Had my steering column and brakes replaced here and the mechanics did a horrible shotty job for both the steering column and the brakes, by giving me faulty brake pads and torquing my lugs so much that I ve bent a tie iron trying to get my flat tire off, as well as stripping the screws entire steering assembly. Terrible place do not recommend for any mechanic work.

Customer for life! I ve gone to this service center a few times for gas and inspections and have always appreciated how clean and friendly everyone is but this week they earned me as a customer for life! On the way to drop my kids off at school, my air suspension went out and my car felt barely drive-able. I rolled into the shop with no appointment but worried my car was unsafe. Jim took a look at it right away and had it up on the lift within minutes. He knew right away what was going on and showed me pictures of the possible problems. I mentioned I had an extended warranty with my dealership but wasn t sure if it would be covered. Jim was able to get my car safe for the short term and encourage me to go to my dealership to have them check it out.The dealership came back with a 6k estimate and I called Jim who gave me a quote which was much cheaper but also gave me questions to ask the dealership. Because of his help, the dealership covered the work under the warranty.I don t know a lot about cars and feel it s an area I ve been taken advantage of before. Jim wasn t there to make a quick buck but to support and find the best solution. He earned our trust and all our future business.

I used to do routine maintenance here many times and this time I visited because of some issues with the bearing system. I told them I suspect it's the right front bearing system and asked them to check. 30 mins later, they told me they checked and there is no problem and charged me 80 bucks saying this is already a discount without charging me the 1h labor fee. I trusted them but I still hear the noise consistently. Then next week I went to another shop reporting same issue. The staff there took 20 mins to test and confirm and another 3 hours to replace with a new bearing. And immediately the noise is gone and problem is completely fixed. I felt I was tricked by this station. I will not come back for sure. To whom cares about her/his time and vehicle, stay away from this shop. Either they are not honest business man or they simply don't have the basic skills to test and fix your car.

First time there which ended to be a pleasant experience with a promising long relation to come. Omar and Jim were professional and repairs were done at the highest standards. Highly recommend this place for your repairs if you re looking for honest mechanic shop which is unfortunately a rare find these days. Appreciate the service guys.

NOTE: I'm only writing this review because Sunoco asked me to.Careful what you wish for! I went to Oakton Sunoco for an oil change, and when I picked up the car, they *recommended* almost $1,400 worth of additional work. Because I'm not an idiot, and because I'm fortunate enough to have a cousin who's in the car business, I didn't let them do any additional work. My cousin looked over the estimate and confirmed that I didn't need ANY of the work suggested, at least not anytime soon. One of the items was to replace the front brake pads and rotors. At my cousin's suggestion, I asked for the brake measurements. Imagine my surprise when my email was ignored.The reason I took my car to a gas station instead of the dealer is because I found out service advisors at dealerships work on commission. My cousin told me this is also true of gas station service advisors. Not sure where I'll go for my next oil change, but I'm certainly not doing any recommended work.

I went in for a safety inspection and they finished it in no time at all. They also did a fast oil change which was way overdue for my car. On a separate day, I went in to inquire about a fuel tank cap for another car, and the boss person was very helpful and kind to direct me. I really appreciate their next door neighbor friendliness and willingness to go beyond.Thank you to the whole team at the Sunuco Oakton!

For 10 years now I've taken our Volvos to Oakton Sunoco for inspections, services, routine maintenance, brakes, and tires. They are always prompt, efficient, and reasonably priced.

I just want to thank the owner Simon for his amazing kindness during my car crisis. I feel so lucky to have brought my car to this service station. I am forever thankful. Also, the service manager Jim was honest and up front about how I should proceed with my car. They have taken a lot of stress and worry away from me. I will always recommend this Oakton Sunoco Service Station to everyone who may encounter any car issues. They are truly some of the best people I have ever met. I have never experienced this kind of quality and care at any other service station. Thank you!!!

Our old Honda needed some extra care to make it run smoothly. Jim kept us informed on the things he found needed to be done. He didn t try to add on unnecessary repairs or price gouge us. The repairs were finished promptly. We are pleased with the results and the experience.

These folks are great! Like how a trustworthy mechanic should be, there for you and resolves the issue. They fixed a difficult problem in my older car surrounding the suspension and when we had an emergency related to a flat, they absolutely addressed it for our family during a crisis. They have earned our business and loyalty!

The friendly folks at the Oakton Sunoco Gas Station inspected two of my cars and performed routine maintenance on my Tacoma truck. They did a great job at a reasonable price. The mechanics, manager, and clerk were very responsive and courteous.

Oakton Sunoco is excellent. Every time I contact them, they register me; fully evaluate my car and always do whatever is necessary for maintenance/repair. It is always perfect and properly priced at swift timing.

Excellent service and reasonably priced repairs. I got 4 estimates and Jim at Sunoco beat them all. Jim was knowledgeable , professional and courteous. They even gave me a loaner car to use while my vehicle was being fixed. I highly recommend Oakton Sunoco.

My dad always said find an honest mechanic and pay them what they charge. Even if pricey you ll save money in the end and your vehicle will be better for it. The prices are fair. The shop isn t big or fancy looking but they have always done excellent work, explained what was needed and why, and what was optional now (and when it wouldn t be). I really recommend them. They are good folks who do good work.

We have consistently received honest, courteous and professional service at this location. We have been a customer for years. We really appreciate Jim s honesty, knowledge and thoroughness. He often goes above and beyond to make sure our vehicles are safe and running properly. We wouldn t think of going anywhere else!

This gas station gradually won me over with honest assessment of issues and fair price. So much so that I stopped going to a mechanic I was going to for a long time. However, with the new head mechanic, the trust is completely gone. Each time, they tried to manufacture problems and overcharge. These are the examples: 1) my wife broke passenger side mirror. They said the entire assembly is broken and will cost $ 500. I looked over the mirror and could not see anything broken. I bought a replacement mirror for $ 80 and replaced it myself. 2) I took my daughter's car for check engine light, instead, they said the brakes need a complete replacement - $ 1200. I took the car to a dealer and they fixed the check engine light issue and said the breaks were fine. 3) I took my car in for oil change and they said I have a leaking coolant. I knew this to be a lie as there is no evidence of coolant leak. Its a shame.

I don't usually write reviews but when you come across EXCELLENT service - I just had too. The mechanics, the manager (Jim) and the owner (Simon) of Oakton Sunoco could not have been nicer and more professional. I had a problem(s) with my old van that was tricky to diagnosis and repair. It ended up taking a several days to resolve. They gave me a loaner car and kept me informed at every step in the process. My final bill was extremely reasonable given all the issues. They have a customer for life!

Thank God for this Auto Service Center. My car was making a loud noise with a diming of the internal lights. They were able to take me at short notice and fix my car within a few hours. They are worth every penny. The one thing that stood out to me more than the service was how personable and professional the staff is at this center. I will certainly continue to give them my business and refer everyone. Thank you Mr. Jim!

The assistant manager spent 30 minutes with me after work talking to me about dealerships vs private mechanic shops. It shows how much they are about their craft. Awesome stuff . I have experienced these guys to be honest and great people in my experience with them. They have great knowledge too, are skilled at what they do, and always solve the problem

We recently had our Tacoma truck worked on here and we were so impressed by the quality of work and quick response and communication from Jim and his team! In this day and age when you always feel like you re getting ripped off by mechanics, you should come here for honest work at a fair price!

He went above and beyond to help me get my car get squared away and it's running better than ever! The work (oil change) was completed exactly in the time window promised. What impressed me the most however is when I went to pay, three kids were picking up some snacks and one of them didn t have enough money for what he wanted. So the manager told him not to worry about it and took care of it. The manager then told me that he will get that dollar back many times over. The world needs more people like that. I will definitely be back!
