This is an update edit on my original review. After the first visit, we were less than pleased, communicated with the shop, and got the most AMAZING response! They invited us back the next day to look at the car again, especially in the light of our specific concerns. The technician walked my kid through every test and result. Discussed our concern, looked at that issue, did find some problems (but almost assuredly NOT the cause of the primary issue), cleaned the throttle body by hand, and gave us specific answers on what to look for moving forward. The car is running very well, and this AAA shop has earned our repeat business.

We went to get our international Driver's licenses for an upcoming trip. It's a well run location, with lots of travel info and a lot of travel gear. Even picked up a nice Samsonite suitcase at a great price!

Took my car here because it was making a noise technician told me he could do a band aid fix to prolong usage. Picked my car up the next day and it was significantly worse and I haven t been able to drive it since then. I wouldn t have paid over $500 if he explained the actual problem better.

robert @ simply towing is the ABSOLUTE best. He has towed 2 of our vehicles recently. he is always on time (or early) and such a knowledgeable and likable guy! he kept us informed with what was going on with our vehicles, i cannot say enough good things!! thanks robert!!

The facility is very neat and clean. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though my vehicle was rejected it was still a pleasant transaction. All in all it was a good experience.

Wow! Big shout out to Justin and Shawn - after several years and multiple headlight lens cleanings, I decided to get pricing on new headlight assemblies for my 2004 Toyota Highlander. After searching for best pricing the cost came in much more than I was planning on spending.Justin and Shawn came out to the car and looked and agreed that they thought they could get the lens to look much better...so I agreed and left the car.The next day we came back to pick up the car and was shocked as can be seen in the photo...my wife said "I thought you decided against buying new headlights" ...they have not looked this good in years.Many thanks for your willingness to help, your patience and time - looking forward to having you and your team take care of this car. Best wishes for a great start to this new AAA Auto Care and Insurance location.

My wife made an appointment here to get an oil change and inspection. When I arrived for the appointment, they claimed that their technician was too busy to do the inspection despite the claim by phone earlier that it would be no problem to get it done. I was also told the oil change would take less than an hour, but ended up taking closer to two hours. This caused me to be late for another appointment.

I will be updating this with photos here shortly. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless they are going here for just a tire or oil change or basic maintenance. Went here bc I had an axle snap and AAA recommended it when I was getting it towed. They mentioned they replaced the axles but the only thing unsafe was the tire. Long story short take it to my normal mechanic and my whole front subframe is rusted out. And I mean rusted in half so it was a ticking time bomb and I could hear the clunking when turning. The car was definitely not safe to drive in any way shape or form. But mind you they did mention it was rust, but didn't take the time to actually diagnose or look into it. Extremely unhappy and extremely angry that I risked my safety and car by listening to them.Update: emailed the automated message they replied with. Said they'd forward it to the local manager. No response. Absolutely ridiculous. Posted pictures of my car being "safe to drive" with my engine ready to hit the ground.

This is the first time I have brought my vehicles to AAA. I found it to be more personable than the dealership I usually go to. I was able to talk to the mechanic, not just the service writer. Both were professional and delighted I was here. I also picked the right time of the month to bring my vehicles in for the yearly inspection. Loo

CROOKS! I called AAA and spoke to Kevin about an oil change. He said with my membership it would be $45 which is a bit cheaper than what I usually get it for so I came in. However, of course the price increased to $80. This is truly unprofessional and disrespectful of people s time and money. I have way better mechanic recommendations if you re in need just save yourself the trip and money. HE WANTED TO PUT THE WRONG OIL IN MY CAR.

Do Not Use This Mechanic For Repairs! They are dishonest and will steal from you.Hit a curb while avoiding a collision and blew out front tire and dented the rim. AAA towed the vehicle to this nearby AAA Car Care center in Chesterfield. They quoted repairs over $3,000 and sent a report. There is no visible damage in the pictures provided by their technician to the "wheel bearing, lower ball joint, strut, outer tie rod" as they claimed, so we decided to take it to a shop we know and trust. They checked every component mentioned above and more, and found that the car simply needs a new wheel and alignment for around $500.The AAA service advisor is named Carolyn Compton and the inspection was performed by "Technician A," Francisco Espinal. I am thankful to have multiple mechanics in Richmond that we can trust, but I am so livid at the scam this AAA Chesterfield Car Care center has likely run on countless people.

Scheduled an appointment online for car care, and wrote state vehicle inspection in the notes section. I guess no one reviews the appointments that are made online, because I showed up and was told they don t do inspections on Saturday and that they don t do appointments for inspections (I guess they re walk-ins?). Would have been nice to know this ahead of time so I didn t waste my Saturday morning. The associates who spoke to me were nice (hence the 2 stars rather than 1), but there needs to be more transparency about the services (or lack thereof) that are offered here.

I went in for an oil change and left with a long list of other work they suggested I needed. Over $2000 which included spark plugs and tune up I had just had done elsewhere. Also said my tires were dryrotted, but only one needed replacing?!? No one said a word to me about it. Just had me sign a paper saying I declined suggested work. I have always thought highly of AAA, but this has put a bad taste in my mouth.Service: Oil change

Excellent service experience for my car. It was very easy to schedule an appointment over the phone and they performed the tire change very professionally and even ahead of schedule. I got an extra 10% off labor cost for being a AA member.Honestly, I don't see a reason to go elsewhere! I, do the majority of my own work however any auto repair job I can't do myself I will be more than happy to entrust at AAA.

Beware, AAA changes $200 for a $100 car battery. I have had a AAA battery for approximately 6 weeks and had to have battery jumped twice! The second time I called it took over 5 hours for AAA to respond.Please note, I was told that the car must be started every two days or the battery would lost all power.Service: Battery

I thi k the representative should have been more knowledgeable about my trip area. I've used AAA many years and never had this experience of not knowing about Yellowstone national park.AAA sent me a reply and asked for info. I sent it and never heard back.Typical of a company who wants to look like they care but really doesn't.

I was there looking to buy an EZ Pass.Darrel Killebrew was fantastic he answered all my questions and explained everything perfectly. To those who have never had AAA or perhaps had it, he's the guy with the answers.

Brought in my newly purchased 06 E-450 for inspection and oil change. I told them I had just purchased it and wanted to know what it may need in addition to anything state inspection required (something I would NEVER say if I didn t trust the shop lol- but they were recommended to me by a good friend.) Gotta say, this crew is top notch! They quoted only what was needed, explained it well, and the price was fair. I drove away knowing my vehicle was safe and ready to enjoy. Will definitely be back. Love it there! It was a beautiful welcoming atmosphere accompanied by great service. I had the pleasure of dealing with Chasity, she was very friendly, had a great product knowledge and took care of everything I need it in literally 10 minutes which only felt like 2 mins because she was such a pleasure to speak with.

Don t go to this facility they are not honest. I took my car in as I had a nail in my tire. I was told I had two two nails one was leaking and they might be able to plug the leak. They told me it was to close to the side and it couldn t be plugged and I needed a new tire. Decided to go to my Volkswagen dealer and they plugged the hole with no problem. I called the facility back on Friday to speak with the manager got the same person who told me I needed a new tire. Claimed it was all a miscommunication. I wonder how many people he has scammed. I am cancelling membership

It seems they change their hours depending on what they feel at the time. The website states they close at 5pm on Saturday, the door showed hours til 5pm and "come in we're open" sign and I walked in a few minutes before 3pm and the employee said she can't help me because they're about to close. They also said they were busy with another customer yet other employees were just sitting at desks doing nothing. Another customer went in after me and they said the same thing to her. The one customer they were "busy with" was already done and walking out by the time I was getting back in my car. Most businesses are supposed to help customers up until the exact time they close and this was 2 HOURS before. Don't waste your time.

Had a bad experience with the CSR's.I stopped by the office to give report and they gave me a phone number to call. Had a very nice experience after sitting on side of the road for over 3 hours waiting for service. I was told it would be there in 40 minutes when I first called. This is not typical of AAA and I hope nobody will have to endure this.

Brought in a car with a nail in the tire to AAA expecting it to be a simple case of a plug and patch. The tech said that the nail was too close to the wall to be patched, despite the nail being near the center of the tread. Worse still, when he priced out a new tire, he put two different road hazard policies on the bill. Glad to say that it was safely patched elsewhere. After having good experiences with AAA elsewhere, it was disappointing to see this location did not live up to those standards, and I would not recommend anyone come to this location for tire service.

I always have a great experience here. They have the friendliest auto shop staff I've ever met and they get work done quickly. Excellent as always. Oil change for AAA members just $30. Free wifi and Keurig coffee while you wait. And the mall is right across the street if you don't want to wait at AAA.

Terrible service ref 100278 spoke with Andrea richmond supervisor who cant help me. This company left me on highway overnight. Use your insurance. Aaa has no tow trucks to pick up vehicles after 7pm. BEWARE BEWARE

Needed a flat tire replaced. The service department price was fair and the manage communicated all timing and repair information to me. They did some extra work that I didn't request or authorize, so they didn't charge me for it.

Just left this location and the representative at the front, Chasity, was not very friendly and not helpful at all. We came in around 6:15pm looking to discuss travel agency arrangements and all we received from Chasity was a unpleasant response advising they had no travel agent available and they closed at 7. Then at this point, they should change their signs to closing at 6:15pm. As someone working in customer service, we don t care if someone comes in at 6:58 pm...the customer comes first and we make sure they have a pleasant experience and their concerns resolved. I will be sure to never come back to this location again and let everyone else know my experience in the future about this place. Chasity needs some customer service classes ASAP!
