AMAZING! I brought my car in because my brakes were squeaking and rubbing. They fixed my car in 3 hours (!!!) and had very fair pricing. As a college student, getting your car back this quickly is incredible (I was expecting to get it back in 2-3 days.) They were all super friendly and helped explain what was exactly wrong with my car. Loved how thorough and friendly they were. Will be bringing my car back here for future repairs!!

Took my car to Is cook's automotive May 2,2022. Gave him $3000 up front to get a motor replaced in my 2000 Jaguar XK8. I showed tony cook the motor I wanted to buy off ebay for $2700 with 67,000 miles. I trusted him. I told him I wanted to sell the car to raise money for missions. He said he would charge me 1200 for labor and I told him it would be more I.Would give him $2000 for labor Because I knew it would be some extra things involved. He bought a motor somewhere for $1100 and charge me$2200 for it . The motor he put in my car had 127,000 miles on it. He said he would work on it in two weeks. A month later I went back. He said he had not got started on it But I was next in line so I gave him another $1000 because I trusted him. I finally got my car back in October 2022 And he asked for another $1700. It shocked me. When I drove the car There was power steering fluid leaking and antifreeze leaking and an exhaust leak. I took the car back to him four times and he never corrected the problems. I don't recommend him to anyone. Every mechanic that I mentioned his name to called him a crook or said he was no good. $5700 and two years later my car is still out of commission.

A truly fair, honest and caring family shop. Took my car there for an alignment without an appointment. Had my car back by the end of the day and a true dialed in alignment! The employees here take pride in their work here and it s noticeable! Definitely will be recommending them to any family or friends.

I took my car to Cook's and was told he couldn't get to my car for 2 weeks. Well let's just say I got my car back the same day. The guys there were really nice and customer service was A1. Will definitely be taking my car back if have any other issues.

I took my car here after I hit a animal and tore the underside of my car and busted my radiator they are the most wonderful people to work with very friendly, and would call if a part wasn t in on time if they find more things that was wrong, they would call you. I am well pleased with him. I have taken my other car there and my son has taken his car there

There is honestly no better place to take your car to in Lynchburg than to Cook s Automotive if you want some great work done. Seriously. I just picked up my Celica GT4 after getting some rust repairs and brake lines done. Since my car is imported, it had to stay at their shop for a while until parts came in from Japan. Not only was the quality of work top tier, the techs gave me frequent phone calls and updates during the whole process. You can tell the guys really take pride in their work and what they do. This isn t one of those places where you pay a certain amount of money and hope it turns out okay, you know the work will be quality as soon as you turn your keys in. Will definitely be back again for sure! Thank you guys. (Oh, and pricing is reasonable as well! The cost to quality of work ratio is 1:1. You definitely get what you pay for!)

The most kind and caring man I've ever met, unfortunately I had to meet him because someone done me wrong while fixing my car and Tony is going to make it right. If you want honest and hard working and such a beautiful family this is where you need to go. I cant ever thank tony enough for what hes done for me and my family, if you want and honest business, this is your man. Tell him Brenda the mustang lady sent you, he will get you taken care of!

First and foremost, these are good people! Great mechanics with reasonable prices, but equally important, they truly care about their customers. They performed and engine swap on my Ram 2500, did a great job and stood behind their work.

Took for alignment after rebuilding my front end. This was the second shop I took it to after the first tried to upscale the work by removing and replacing everything. Cooks auto got me in with no appointment and took their time working my alignment back in. Very affordable too even offered to pick me up since I lived near by. Great service highly recommended.

My Dad told me about this place and would rave about how great they are. I figured if my Dad trusted them that much, they must be good. Every interaction I've had with them has been wonderful. Tony and Joe are fabulous, and do a great job. You can tell they really love cars and they treat their customers well. They are honest and really seem to know their stuff, and I haven't yet found anyone who can beat their prices.

Tony did a great job on my car (Ford Expedition). I had problems with my idle rounds at the traffic light. I drove there during my lunch break and he checked the car. I didn't expect he could fix it right away but he did!!! It was a 30min wait until everything worked again. Great job and awesome customer service. I highly recommend it!

I was moving my son into College and after a 10 hour drive my car broke down and needed a repair. We went first thing in the morning and got right in and it took no time at all. Very fast and extremely friendly service. From being out of town I figured we wouldn t get the best service or price. On the contrary we were treated with the up most respect and courtesy 10/10 recommend. Our son will be using there services in the future.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Tony and Joe best tag team partners! Honest and straight to the point whatever situation you have in your vehicle! I can tell they are very reasonable when it comes to pricing, so even though it gets a little bit pricey for example, it's gonna be worth it for whatever service they do to your car, not to rip you off like those overpriced dealerships!

The integrity of this place is second to none. We are from MN and were moving my daughter to college in Lynchburg when we had car problems. Tony worked us in and helped us quickly. To have a mechanic who is trustworthy is priceless. That is what you'll have here. My daughter will take her car here ONLY and is telling all her college friends. I wish I lived close by so I could have a trustworthy mechanic! Cook's Automotive is the BEST!

Tony at Cook's automotive has worked on my cars for the last 7 years. I never have to worry that he's trying to pull a "fast one" on me. He's always been right up front and honest.His staff is always willing to help and go over and above what's expected of them.I would highly recommend this garage for any and all of your car needs.

If I could rate them higher, I would. These men are the kindest, most considerate mechanics I've ever met. Tony is passionate about helping you understand the decisions you're making about your car, even if you have zero mechanical knowledge. They give lots of updates, explanations, and choices as to how much you're ready to spend. I won't be going anywhere else.

I went to Billy craft Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram here in Lynchburg, Va. they wanted to charge me 800$ for a repair which included a clock spring, and inspection. Cooks Automotive saved me money by "Tony" the owner's honesty. He made me aware that it might be less expensive to buy the whole steering column for my 2011 jeep wrangler which would solve the fix of the needed clock spring, plus it would improve my steering of my jeep because my old steering column had a lot of play in it. I was able also to get a six qt. oil change, and alignment for less than four hundred bucks. Since then i have used tony for a oil change, and another fix, he gets you right into his shop when time for you is crucial, thus he flexes himself to suit the needs of the customer, he is very honest, does good work, his crew is very efficient, and tony is a fair man to work with. plus they have a military discount. I would highly recommend this business for your auto service needs. 5 stars!!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

First time using this shop. Tony & Joe were amazing from beginning to end for my Ford 150 Extended Cab. Axle had broken but also cut me a break on labor & fixed my passenger side window for much less expensive than dealership. Kept me informed multiple times a day & went out of the way to give great service. Will DEFINITELY use again for repair needs

My a/c started blowing hot and I thought it might need a new compressor. Quotes at the dealer were $2000+. Took it to Cook's Automotive and he fixed the problem (wiring) which saved me literally thousands. I absolutely LOVE the way Cook s Automotive treats their customers. I ve been with them for YEARS, bc they are trustworthy and affordable. Joe is usually the one at the front desk managing the flow of info between customer and mechanic. He does such a professional job! Tony REBUILT my van engine several years ago, so I KNOW they do EXCELLENT work for a fair price, and they stand behind their work. As a single woman, it is a rare thing to feel safe when I need to bring my dilapidated old cars to a mechanic. But at Cook s, I can depend on Tony to treat me with courtesy and respect, while taking the time to help me cover all the bases of car maintenance.

My Truck needed alot of work, n Tony was GREAT @ Explaining to Me what all needed to be done, and the Price. He never made Me feel like My Concerns Weren't Listened to or Cared about. I Highly recommend Cook's Automotive 100%... Love there Work. Its the Only Shop I will Take My Truck to again.

We took our 2002 car into Cooks Automotive. We had a large oil leak and he lifted the car up and showed us where he believed the leak was coming from and gave us a really low estimate for replacing the fuel pump. I had already agreed to replace the whole thing, but when I came back in he only ended up having to replace a gasket which save me hundreds of dollars. He could have easily just gone ahead and replace the whole pump and I would have never known the difference, but he was honest and tried to save me as much money as possible.
