I love coming here. The building itself is pretty old and dated but the staff is super helpful and friendly. Angie (receptionist) was very kind from my first visit a few years ago. The prices are competitive and they never try to throw anything outrageous on you. When I needed a part ordered I could only get it from Ford. They ordered it for me and I was able to pick it up from Ford the next day since Ford didn't have any drivers and Cavalier put it on first thing in the morning. If you're looking for a local mechanic who will treat you right I highly recommend this place.

This team of mechanics are just great people. Plus it's affordable work and they stand by the labor that they put into fixing your vehicle. I've brought all my vehicles here Mazada CX9, Chrysler Town and Country, my Lincoln ,and the Chrysler 200. The team is quick to get the vehicle into the shop to provide an estimate for repair and notification if it will take longer than expected . Along with bigger repairs this team also does oil changes and inspections . Prices are below dealership costs and they use authentic parts for repair.

Cavalier seems to care about their work and their customers. I took my car to them thinking I needed an expensive repair and they spent some time listening to the car and found that a much cheaper repair would do the trick. Pleasure to work with.

This place is amazing! I've brought my car in several times and I'm always blown away by how quickly I get a diagnosis! They are extremely accommodating and talk you through exactly what is wrong with your vehicle and explain all of the possible solutions. I'm always surprised about how affordable they have been. I will never go anywhere else. Honest, efficient, and great customer service!

Best mechanic in the Lynchburg area by far. Great prices and great work with friendly service. Angie even recognizes your voice and remembers your name when you call to make appointments. Best place in town by far.

First available appointment for brakes and inspection was a few days away. Dropped my car in the morning and it was ready by early afternoon. They had good contact and did great work on my car.

John's is the only shop I put any faith in being able to diagnosis and repair without the usual let's try this and that and bill you for it and then find out it's something else altogether and then bill you some more. I made the mistake of taking one of my vehicles to another reputable shop on recommendation for a specific problem and that's exactly what they did. Huge bill,same problem and they just gave up and said we can't fix it .NEVER AGAIN I'M ONLY GOING TO CAVALIER AUTOServices: Electrical, Engine repair, Brakes

I have been dealing with Cavalier for over a year. They have been great compared to other services I have used in the past. I am not charged nearly as much for the same amount of work, he tells me exactly what needs to be done and why, and always asks before doing anything that was not discussed with me when I bring my car in. I have researched prices on parts I am not charged anymore than competitive prices at the big chains auto parts stores. I feel his labor charges are fair considering he fixes most of my major car issues within the same day (except on time I needed a cylinder replaced and had to wait on the machine shop to send him my head gasket). I am sorry some have not gotten the same experience I have, but I will continue coming here as long as their service remains the way it has for me.

Always take all my vehicle work here. They do a great job and know what they are doing. I have taken multiple vehicles to them over the past seven years. They are always honest, very knowledgeable, and give a fair price. I highly recommend John and his team!

We've been using Cavalier for years for everything from routine oil changes and state inspections to fuel pump, water pump, clutch, etc. They're always a fair price and the work is 1st class. I've never had to bring anything back for rework, in fact the clutch was quite a bit more smooth than the factory clutch. The only problem is that the secret is out and now the shop stays quite busy so I've got to schedule a couple days in advance.

Thank you to John and Cavalier Automotive for taking care of my car! I needed to have several repairs handled so I could pass inspection. John got me in and out in one day and did a great job on the service items. My car is running great and his pricing was very reasonable.

Please stay away from this place. It was referred to from a friend which is why I went here to begin with. Brought my vehicle in for an extensive repair and inspection. After picking it up, the alignment was knocked out during the repair, the lady even said that it happens during this repair and so did the technician when he called me. It was knocked out so far that my steering was at a 45 degree angle to drive straight and was told to bring it back to get it fixed. After dropping $800+ for the parts and service, they charged me for the mis-alignment that was not needed to begin with and chalked it up to me hitting a pothole. Funny thing is, I live right off Forest Road about five minutes from the place, and there are no potholes.Update: My Chevy HHR driver electrical seat would no go back, only forward. Out of convenience I asked if they could replace the switch for the electric seat adjuster (a $25 post on Amazon, but the seat would have to be removed). They told me I had a faulty rail and that the entire system would have to be replaced at the cost of an $800 fix........ So I bought the part myself and replaced it and now the seat works just fine, cost me $25 and an hour. Makes a straight-thinking fella wonder if I was ripped off before?

We have been dealing with Cavalier Automotive for at least three plus years, and they have always been straight with us. Sure there are times when new parts break down, nothing is 100% perfect, but Me and the family have been very satisfied with their work. Our son even drove his truck over from Covington to have Cavalier fix it. I can't speak for anyone else, but I am well pleased with their work!

The BEST repair shop in Lynchburg and surrounding areas. The shop gave me a fair estimate on repairs, and then surprised me with a lower bill because one of the items on the list ended up being only a loose hose. Thanks to these guys I now have my forever auto shop.

Has to be the worst possible place you can go for anything and everything. I would say if you even considered this place, you would be more of an idiot then all of them, but then again that's not possible with this group of morons. I might sound harsh, but they tried to screw me over by lying to my face and telling me that my exhaust system would have to be replaced from the headers back just to pass inspection, a "mere" 250 dollar estimate. I immediately said put a rejection sticker on it i will be there in 10 minutes to pick it up. The owner started stumbling on his words and said let me go look at it because i had one of my boys working on it. He proceeds to call me 10 minutes later, acting all friendly and attempting to put on a good show, saying yeah your good to go bud, i just had to tighten the clamp on the manifold, which cost 8 bucks. Got home, inspected the whole exhaust system and not one bolt or nut was touched, judging by the caked on gravel dust which covered each and every one. Needless to say i wanted to chew them out but when i picked my truck up, the nice lady and the only one that's worth anything, said come back again and my response was, Sorry but you never see me here again. I could tell by the look on her face that was about the 1000th time she had heard that. In saying that, do not go to this garage. I might sound over the top however, that's how my first and most definitely last experience went with this company.

Dropped a work truck off with an ABS light on and an oil leak, after several calls and no response for 2 weeks I went to Cavalier to find out that John had taken a week off and left my truck in his parking lot with NO repairs scheduled or any work done on my truck.
