THE BEST ANYWHERE!!Bringing my wife back south to Bristol from Roanoke Hospital we had a blowout on our Tag Axle for our 1998 Fleetwood Pace Arrow Vision 37A motorhome, 38 foot, on I-81. Happened to see R&C's sign just before the flat Happened. Amanda answered the phone with R&C Towing and Heavy Hauling and helped us out by first suggesting VDOT. Tried the unexperienced VDOT driver John;well NO. Called Amanda back at R&C Towing and Heavy Hauling and she was MORE than willing to send someone to look at changing our spare. She also knew for 5 hours on the shoulder, sickly wife,I'm a US NAVY Veteran who is Disabled; Amanda sent out Edsel in the Service Truck. I'm telling you this business is about caring and helping people and of course, it's a great business.They were not only undescribably pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable but very reasonably priced.Edsel, at R&C Towing and Heavy Hauling, had another issue in that our spare was dry rotted. But we were on rubber again quickly which was a 4th of the time we had sat disabled at the side of the Interstate.God fearing people, Appreciate Veterans, and go out of their way to help you. Nice and professional equipment also. If you're in need,R&C Towing and Heavy Hauling are the perfect people on the planet.

With a broken leaf spring on our 5th wheel, leaving us with sheared off lug nuts, no wheel, and a brake drum that had dragged the asphalt on interstate 77 in Bland, VA, these guys worked miracles and got us back on the road in less than 24 hours. They were knowledgeable and compassionate, and we are back on our way ONLY thanks to finding them, like a needle in a haystack!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Amanda and her husband were extremely helpful as they went out of their way to help as I tried to handle matters in connection with my family member's health predicament.We came to pick up his car from South Carolina and arrived late after the office portion of the company was closed. We didn t have to drive home to come back the next day or get a hotel for the night. They came back to the office after hours to take care of us.Would highly recommend to anyone with towing needs!

Absolute lifesaver! Highly recommend! We were on our way back home from visiting family out of town Thanksgiving night & broke down on I81, 75ish miles from home. The state trooper told us that they contacted several tow companies but none of them would take us out of Wytheville, nor did they have room to transport my family. At this point I thought my husband, our 2 sons, 2 dogs & myself were now stuck along with my truck. R&C came through & saved the day, not only did they have room for all of us but they also drove us all the way to the shop by our house & dropped us off at home! Thank you so much!

I was towed last night and the service was excellent. Amanda did everything in her power to make sure we were taken care of ..... even on the next day. I hope to never breakdown again but if so I know who to call.

I know it s a late response but I m a trucker and in my 1st OTR trip I broke down in the middle of the night. When I say they came got me towed my truck, fixed my truck, and was nice enough to take me to the local hotel for the evening.They provided crazy great service and I m forever thankful.-Tom SandersCincinnati,Ohio

I would give 10 stars if I could! We had wheel failure on our trailer on the way south for vacation and we were mentally prepared for a very delayed vacation due to this issue. R & C Towing and Repair came to us first thing in the morning and repaired the wheel. They were thorough and incredibly kind. We highly recommend them!

Our car broke down tonight on our way home from vacation, 4 hours from home. Our insurance company failed us both times they called a tow service for us. We were stranded for almost 3 hours. We finally called these guys and they picked us up and got us somewhere safe in less than an hour. The nicest guy picked us up and suggested an awesome repair shop we could go. We felt safe with them, and they worked fast. So very thankful and we highly recommend using this company.Service: Car towing

My husband, 1 year old, and myself were traveling from TN to NC today and my car started making some horrible noises and the wheel locked up on Interstate 81. R&C was sent by AAA to tow us and couldn't have been more kind and helpful. My husband called them to ask when to expect them because we were planning to order Uber to take us since we have a carseat. Instead, they let us know they had a 4 door truck they could bring and even called us back to offer help on making sure we could get into the mechanic! The driver (didn't get his name) was efficient and careful and easy to talk to on the drive. Incredibly grateful for R&C - y'all helped save our quick trip to visit family! This review is long overdue. Sunday, September 3, 2014, I had an issue with my vehicle during a move I was making from NY to NC. AAA hooked me up with R & C Towing and Repair. The driver was very friendly and reassuring. He took my car to the shop then drove me to the Red Roof Inn where he made sure I got a special rate reserved for travelers in my situation..Alas, it was Labor Day weekend and so they were closed on Monday. However, Tuesday afternoon my vehicle was ready and back on the road. The issue was fixed and never happened again. The price was very reasonable and everyone associated with R & C was just as friendly and reassuring as the driver was. Same driver even picked me up from the hotel on Tuesday and brought me to the shop.I tell ya, when your car breaks down in what seems like the middle of nowhere, it can be quite alarming. R & C took great care of me and even though it was two years ago, I have not forgotten them, and I probably never will.Thank you R & C Towing and Repair! <3

Stuck on a Sunday on the Highway, never fear R & C will be there. They accommodated me like I was Family.My Semi broke down on Sunday 11 am. They showed up, got me to a garage (RDM Truck Solutions) and even drove me to the Comfort Inn while I waited for the repairs.NOT ONLY THAT!!!! They even grabbed my fully loaded Reefer and delivered my load...On TIME... (Longevity Transport LLC) wants to thank the whole crew from R & C and RDM for saving my load and my Truck...God Bless you all....

Our son broke down in Princeton W.Va on his way back to Fort Bragg N.C. Since we are in Ohio trying to find anyone to tow it to .C. was nearly impossible. But I reached out to R&C and they handled it for us on a Sunday morning. My Dad and I were on a road trip to Salem, Virginia when we had a blow out on I-81 Northbound. We tried to swap out the tire ourselves but due to the design of the lugnuts, we couldn't get the tire off no matter what. After a while of calling around, we finally got ahold of this company and they sent this guy named Jeff to assist us. 10/10, 100%, absolutely, positively would recommend this company. If it weren't for Jeff what would've been impossible for us wouldn't have gotten done in a decent amount of time. Thank you so much, Jeff! We appreciate your help more than we can express. Fantastic Service!! Our truck blew a transmission while towing a camper from North Carolina to Dayton Ohio. When I called and spoke with Carla on a Saturday afternoon she was incredibly helpful She quickly dispatched a driver named Jeff who was every bit as helpful. Jeff loaded the truck on a flat bed and hitched the trailer to the back and got us moving in the right direction. He even secured us a very nice hotel room where we could spend the weekend. After a very long day of driving, I was quite upset to find that one of my brand new tires got a flat in the hotel parking lot. Not being familiar with the area, I asked hotel staff if they had any recommendations and they suggested R&C. Someone was dispatched and arrived within 30 minutes. They determined that the valve stem was the culprit, put my spare on, and suggested a place to have it repaired first thing the next morning. They even told me that if I had problems getting it fixed at the recommended shop to call them and they'd find a replacement tire for me. Price was less that I expected and the person dispatched was as nice as could be. Would use again if I ever ended up with car trouble in Wytheville again.Service: Tire change

In needed a water pump put on my car. I was informed that RC towing would do it for me. I called them and they were very polite. Gave me a time to bring my car in. They were done with it when they said they would be and my car runs so smooth now. I give these people a thumbs up. Very polite and professional. I would recommend them to anyone, and the next time I need something done I will be going to them.Thank you so much and may God Bless each and everyone.

Efficient, effective and friendly. Me and my daughter s were traveling from Roanoke and we re 116 miles from our destination in Charlotte, when I noticed a problem with my tire. We made it to Circle K, where I tried air (which the kind clerk offered for free) and Fix it Flat, only to discover the tire was on auto-inflate and we had exceeded the allotted mileage for emergencies.After asking the clerk for recommendations of tow companies. I called the few she recommended, but all were unavailable. I resorted to handy dandy Google, which yielded among many companies, R & C Towing.Upon calling, I was greeted warmly by Ms. Carla, after 10 pm. She was kind, knowledgeable and helpful. She sent Billy, who was efficient, effective and friendly. Before we loaded ourselves in the tow truck, he had the car on the trailer bed and we were on our way to Charlotte.Most GRATEFUL!

We had a wheel bearing fail on our truck while traveling along I-81 with our camper. After we made a call, they were able to see us immediately and we were back on the road in 3 hours. They have a location in Rural Retreat VA that we ended up using because it was closer than the Wytheville location, but for some reason it isn't listed on Google Maps as of 8/1/17. There was plenty of maneuvering room even for a truck towing a 28-foot camper. Reasonable price, great service.

Great experience! My wife locked her keys in the car, while on a road trip with or daughter and 2 grandchildren. R&C came out and got them back on the road quickly and at VERY reasonable rate. I'm sorry she didn't get the gentleman's name, but she said he seemed like a "Good ole' feller" and he still has his 100% success rate on lockouts!

Had 2 blow outs on the same side of my trailer on a Sunday afternoon. With only one spare I needed a tire. They went and got a new tire and wheel from a local store and brought it right out. Service technician was very friendly and helpful. A+ service and the price was fair. Definitely recommend them.

On my way to the mountains of WV for a weekend away camping I ended up shearing off all but one lug bolt and lost a wheel on the interstate. Do to the age and type of vehicle I was driving it was pretty much un-repairable by any of the local garages. I was almost 200 miles away from home but thankfully have a level of AAA that covers me for up to 200 miles. Larry at R & C Towing and Repair Co. was dispatched to tow my vehicle back to my house. To my surprise he was at my location to retrieve my vehicle within 10 minutes and we were on our way back to my house. I was expecting to have a very long ride back; however Larry was one of the most genuine people I have meet in some time and held fantastic conversation the entire time; making the almost 4 hour trip seem to go by much faster.Thank you very much for making my day much more enjoyable than it should have been after losing a day in the mountains due to a stupid mistake!

Horse trailer had axel issues at midnight. It was smoking. Took a while for service over an hour and half. Did not fix it on site. Told us to come to shop where he became a slow talker like he had all nite. Then he Wanted us to come back in am. It was 2 am on receipt. We had 3 horses 4 dogs where were we to go we were 200 miles from camp ground that took horses. We took it to the shop at midnight still wanted us to come back in am Charged us for 450 $. We were out of state traveling thru Virginia. Said he did not have parts? Tho it was bearings and grease isssues. We redid axels ourselves at camp ground did not need any parts besides bearing grease. Drove home safely and still using horse trailer. Very unsatisfied with service and fees charged.

We called our insurance company to arrange for a tow. My three children and I waited for THREE HOURS by the side of the interstate. I finally called R&C. They took me and my kids in the two truck, dropped off the van, and then also got us to a good place to wait while we figured out what to do next. So kind and polite. DEFINITELY call them first. Your insurance company probably has a reimbursement policy like mine does. Ask them about it and call R&C instead of waiting.

Great service very reasonable highly recommended we slipped off the edge of the road with our RV and he was able to get me back on the road without damaging my RV
