I first chose to visit the Safford Brown Mazda Alexandria dealership because of their great selection of vehicles. I ultimately decided to buy from this dealership because of the environment and my salesperson, Moe.The dealership is bright, clean and spacious, with plenty of seating and a luxurious coffee machine. I especially appreciated the semi-private spaces for discussing the fine details of the car purchase. Everyone working there was welcoming and kind. I felt perfectly at ease and comfortable there, which was important for me during the buying process, and I know will also be important when I return for servicing.Most importantly, Moe was spectacular to work with. He was highly personable, making the purchasing experience fun and lighthearted. That being said, Moe took me seriously and truly listened to what I was looking for in a car. He never pushed or pressured. He also never made me feel rushed, which in turn made me feel like I was being prioritized both on a busy Saturday (test drive) and a Sunday evening (purchase). He was well prepared and knowledgeable, and he communicated clearly and transparently. Both the environment and Moe were so above-and-beyond what I was expecting in buying a car.

My experience with the Service Department at Safford Brown exceeded my expectations. Gary, the Service Manager personally took care of scheduling our Mazda Full Circle inspection. Greeted by Ty and Sandra at the Customer Service desk was quick, and pleasant. JP provided transportation to and from the dealership, which was such an unexpected and helpful blessing! Great experience, thanks again.

I used to service my Mazda at this location. Last week on Monday I called service 4 times and the call went to voice mail. The 5th call in the afternoon at the general number I asked if the service department was closed because nobody answers the phone or returns voicemail. I was transferred to the service manager where I left a message. No call back. The same thing on the following day, nobody answers the phone. So I went to Mazda service in Fairfax where they actually care about customers. Not going back to the Alexandria location. I hope somebody at Mazda corporate sees this review. (I had to chuckle on some of these fake 5 star reviews of the service department where employees get mentioned by name yeah right).

The support and service we received when purchasing a used Mazda for my daughter was outstanding. Anthony, and the entire team, went above and beyond to make sure that our questions were answered and our every need was attended to. He even followed up to make sure that my daughter arrived safely back at school with her new car.

I have a 2017 MX-5 and have only ever had it serviced at Mazda dealerships. After my experience with this location, I ended up at a Jiffy Lube.I tried this location three times. The first, everything went fine; it took a while, but they have a nice waiting area and they were communicative.The second time, I pre-scheduled my service and my partner took my car in. They ended up adding on services I hadn't included (my husband didn't know what I had pre-scheduled). When I called to ask why they did the extra work - and charged me for it - they were completely unapologetic and didn't offer any kind of compensation or apology.I tried one last time, thinking I had just had a bad service rep. I schedule for first thing in the morning so I wouldn't have any delays. They said it would take 1.5 hours. When I came back from a walk 1.5 hours later, my car hadn't moved. They were (again) completely unapologetic and said they would try to get me in within the next 1.5 hours. After another 45 minutes of watching my car sit in the line, I canceled my service and left.I will not be giving them a fourth try.

I leased my 2020 Mazda CX-5 in March 2020 when it was still just Brown's Mazda, however since it's become Stafford Brown Mazda, the customer service has become absolutely horrible, especially with the service department. Since I leased my vehicle which I recently purchased, I've only had it serviced at Brown's Mazda. That's 4 years of being a loyal customer and paying several hundreds of dollars for service, but today 2/14/24 will be the very last time I go back there. Sandra in the service department could not have been more rude and condescending. From now on I will bring my business to Passport Mazda and I suggest you do the same.I emailed the general manager Steve on 2/14/24 and explained in detail what happened. I have not heard back from him or Gary, who is the manager of the service department. As far as I'm concerned, your response is to show anyone interested in doing business with Safford Brown Mazda that you're a reasonable dealership. If you really cared about my business, someone in charge would have reached out to me already. Feel free to contact me if you would like, but I won't hold my breath.

In the two days of driving my car they were not only unable to replicate the issue (this part is kind of funny to me because the tech would ve had to have been deaf lol) but they also ruined my alignment on my 700 mile old 2024 Miata. I thought the 45� angle the loaner steering wheel was off from center was a fluke, but obviously that s just how they treat cars. Take your car elsewhere for service

My experience with Safford Brown Mazda Alexandria was extremely disappointing. They misled me about co-signing and co-buying, leading to a lot of unnecessary hassle. Despite multiple reminders, they continuously fail to respect my instructions regarding the designated point of contact. They can't even uphold even the MOST BASIC request. This only added to the frustration of an already unpleasant experience. It was also infuriating that the main phone person would always redirect me to a voicemail line.Despite the positive reviews here, my experience with this dealership has been extremely disappointing. I cannot help but question the authenticity of the good reviews, given how sharply it contrasts the terrible experience I had (and those that also post negative reviews/stories here, as well). Exercise caution, CHECK THE LOWEST REVIEWS. Save yourself the headache and consider going to other reputable dealerships.

I was looking online and submitted my information. Mohammed called me and was so dismissive of me. basically I wasn't going to have the money for another week or two I'm talking about putting $10,000 down. so I went back online looked again saw that there was a Passport Mazda across the bridge. I submitted my information they called me back. I went over everything. They listened to me and I brought my brand new Mazda 2024 carbon edition from Passport Mazda . You guys really need to work on your customer service and making your customer feel welcomed I'm very happy that I did not go in because I can only imagine how I would've been treated. About a week later after submitting my information someone else called me from the dealership I explained to them the situation they seemed to care, but they were more focused on me submitting a credit check so they could try to give me a lower interest rate then Passport Mazda so I would get the car from them. I was already turned off by Mohammed being so dismissive of me.

I was recently in the market for a new car after having issues with my previously owned BMW. I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for but the great service I was given at this dealership made my decision quick and easy. I ended up landing on a Mazda 3 Hatchback with the help of my amazing salesperson Alex who walked me through everything. The process went smoothly and along with Alex, Chad (the general sales manager) and Yahya (who guided me through financing) made this a great experience. I highly recommend.

The perfect place to go to get your Mazda truck or car that you are having issues with for assistance information or questions you may have concerning your vehicle. They will help you get your vehicle back on the road. The customer service is fantastic I've been going there for years with my CX-9 truck. I couldn't ask for better customer service to get in and out in a timely manner.

Bruno Chavez was very helpful and knowledgeable and was an excellent sales associate. Everyone in the office was friendly and the office is beautiful and welcoming. I did not feel rushed and all my questions were answered. I would absolutely recommend Bruno and Safford to any friends or family looking for a Mazda. It was also very convenient that Safford could have my car driven to DC for me. I m so happy to be leasing my new CX-30 :)

Our experience was primarily shaped by our interactions with our salesman, Moe. From the moment that we arrived until our last interaction, he showed a high level of professionalism. This made us feel comfortable and welcomed as customers, and ultimately influenced our purchasing decision. The sales team at Safford Brown is great! After having my 2024 CX-5 CE delayed in delivery, Chad the manager was able to find one at a nearby dealership and get it delivered same day, for pickup the next. Alex the salesman and Yahya in finance were great and personable and gave me a easy experience. Highly recommend!

What a great bunch of people and staff. We were recently in the market for a larger vehicle. We had owned Mazda's before but hadn't given much though. When looking around, most dealerships either didn't have any vehicles on their lots or there was the "standard" market adjustment.We were very please to find out that not only did Safford Brown have vehicles on the lot but there were no market adjustments! Anthony came right out and met us and was very accommodating from the start. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.Chad came over and introduced himself and was very nice and helpful. Yayha was great too. He didn't push any addons and actually saved us a couple hundred in monthly payments.Anthony walked us around the dealership and explained the service department and had our car ready and waiting in no time.Overall, great experience and I'll probably be taking my other family members here for their cars!

It's wise to request an estimate beforehand to avoid potential overcharges from unexpected fees and rates. For instance, I recently paid $107 for a simple bulb replacement, a task estimated to take 40 minutes of labor. However, it could have been completed in just 10 minutes by an average person.

I bought my Mazda 3 back in early 2021. Despite telling them I did not want any add on s multiple times, the finance department somehow fit in a $1200 tire and oil change warranty. I was really mad when I found out, but there was nothing I could do after the fact. I m now getting my second flat tire fixed and the third party warranty isn t even covering the whole cost of the tire. All to say, I feel like they slipped something into my contract at the end of the process in a super sly way that I do not at all appreciate and having that warranty. It s the stereotype of a car dealership being super friendly then lowering your guard to slip something in. I ve loved my Mazda, but please be aware that they will try this.

Aimal Khan was a new salesman when we bought our CX-30, but he was very knowledgeable and not pushy at all! Rob Zaher, the finance manager, was super helpful and patient while we were asking what must have been one hundred questions. The experience was great and we absolutely love our new car!!!

I went there to check out the cars, the sales associate that helped me was Anthony Canales. When he first approached me he did it very friendly and that me comfortable, he showed me around and he seemed very well educated on the cars that he was showing me, all that while being friendly and courteous. Although I didn't buy a car today, I'll make sure to come back to them if I want a car in the future.

I want to update my experience now coming for sometime. I didn t have the best experience on January 12th. They were going to charge me $1300 for a hose leak for my brake fluid and said I needed a caliber. I called my mechanic and he came up there. Long story short. All I need was a bolt screw and the parts in my car were fine. They were about to arrange a loaner for me and all and charge me all that money plus charge me $180 for a diagnostic cost to check the brake inspection issue, considered it a suspension. The dealership is out here robbing people with these prices because we all need our cars to get where we need to be so people will pay these high way robbery prices.In and out service to get my car inspected. An hour wait. Sandra was amazing and professional.

I'm done with Brown's. I took my car in for service and they wanted me to pay $600 for a tensioner. I took my car for a 2nd opinion and they assured me there was nothing wrong with the belts or tensioners. I called the service manager who refused to call me back.
