I called and he told me that he will check the car for free wich make think so anyway I went there he asked me turn on the car lights press the brake so I did.Somebody tray to fix it the he said that only to know the problem [IMPECT DE CAR] with the back light he will charge $150.00 then he will give me a diagnosis.This is the 3rd mechanic I ask the others wanten for inspetion $100.00 but this one want $50 more?????...why IDK.FIRST HE SAID $100 THEN HE ASKED FOR $150...It is not easy being a senior Hispanics woman in Virginia.

Normally I go to a dealership, but when the dealership could not fit me in for two weeks I decided to try Route 1 Auto Care. Here they fit me in the next day (as I had called at the end of a workday) and they were able to fix my trunk and windshield wiper issues quickly and the price was less than I would have paid at my regular dealership. I recommend giving them a try. They did a good, efficient job with my SUV and I am very happy.

Ray has been my mechanic for years. He has saved me many times on my Accord and has kept it running, even at over 360k miles! He always gives great advice and goes out of his way to ensure the work is done without breaking the bank. Even after moving to southern Maryland I bring this car to him so that it keeps on moving!! Small shop so you don t want to sit and wait to get the work done, but if you need an honest mechanic to get it done without hassle, I fully recommend. (I never write reviews but felt this was worth a shout out!)

Ray is a competent and honest mechanic. I was looking around for good reviewed mechanic shops and found him. Sure enough it exceeded my expectations and will be back here for years to come. Prices are very fair and reasonable. Highly recommended

Ray is very professional and trustworthy. We took our car to him and not only he fixed our brakes he fixed the AC knob without us asking for free. It was bothering us for so long and it's just so wonderful to have a mechanic that goes above and beyond.My husband and I will go to him for all our car problems. We recommend him 100%.

Probably the only time I ll ever give a review but I have to for these guys. They are truly honest about the work that they do and the servicing your car needs. I found them after reading their reviews and came with a long print out of stuff a chain auto place said I needed done. Kid you not, over 98% of what was on that list was BS. They saved me over $1k in repairs once and they are great to work with. If you re new to the area, go to them. I ve left Alexandria but I drive over 40 min just to have them look at my car. They re worth it.

This is the best shop in the DMV! My husband and I only take our cars here and have for the last 8 years! Ray is honest, personable, super knowledgeable and has fair pricing! Route 1 Auto Care is awesome! I quit using the dealership and go here for all of my car needs. Ray is always professional and completely honest with what work needs to be done. It s so nice to be able to go to a place where I won t be pressured into doing things that are not truly needed. Give them a try I promise you will thank me later.

Came in this morning and car was test driven and taking into the garage to be worked on. I had a bad front wheel bearing which caused a humming noise at certain speeds. Now i can enjoy silence. Employee Ray had good vibes and was very fair when it came to pricing and i plan on continuing business with this place. Don t let this small place turn you around from a good deal .

The best and most honest & reasonably priced mechanic we have ever met! My boyfriend and I were traveling to Florida from NJ and as we reached Virginia our brakes started locking up and were starting to smoke. We were looking for a gas station and stumbled upon this Mobil station that luckily had an auto service center (Route 1 Auto Care). The guys came out immediately to look at the truck ... the tires were reading 700 degrees and if we had driven a little bit longer the car could have caught on fire! Ray Vafaei (the owner) and his brother Armin and the rest of his mechanics went over and above to not only fix the truck s whole brake system (new brake pads, rotors, calipers, and master cylinder) for a very, very reasonable price but they also gave us rides back and forth to our hotel the 2 days that we had to wait for the work to be done. Next time we are passing through Virginia we will make it a point to stop by to visit Ray and his brother and take them out to dinner! We are extremely grateful to them and appreciate all their hospitality and friendship while we were at their shop and for the follow up phone calls we received hours later after we were on our way to make sure everything was operating properly. If you are in the area and need your car serviced, you must take it to Route 1 Auto Care and tell Ray (the owner) Anna & Doug from Florida recommended you!!

Ray is the best guy around. Only went to him for years till I moved which is a sad day. Hard worker will not stop till he knows whats wrong and how he can fix it. Be nice and he'll be the best friend you could ask for. Also loves taco bell tacos as a tip.

This is our go to shop for all our auto needs. Ray is great and will be honest about what we need or don t. They are fast at figuring out what s wrong and fixing it. New to the area, and of course like all, just wanted to find a fair, trustworthy mechanic.The manager and workers were all friendly and easy to talk with.However, like most mechanics, they take advantage of your lack of mechanic knowledge. What I went in for was a brake pad & rotor change. Later he informed me I d need a new caliper , I was forced to say yes obviously.. to where I later see he charged me $99 for the part. Lastly, he said I needed the lines bled & that normally cost $75.After the job and paying - I realized calipers could easily be purchased (high end) for $70 or so (low end in the $20 s). And learning what labor is done to bleed the lines, $75 is ridiculous to charge. (Taking advantage of customers who know nothing & have no choice when you have their car already)As a business guy - be more honest with your customers. Why take a profit for you on parts? Be honest. And give the customer a chance to say whether he/she wants a high end or low end part before you chose for them. And add to make a profit.

This shop is the best, I will always bring my cars here. Ray always takes good care of me and my car. Not to mention my wallet. He does great work for an even better price. No other shop for me and my cars.

I took my car there for a break flush, they charged me for the flush but only changed the fluid in the reservoir tank, very deceiving. Please do not be deceived by the positive reviews, they will only be fair the first time, once you take your vehicle there regularly, they will take advantage of you.

I don t live in Virginia but I needed a mechanic to check it a used car before I bought it. Ray was the best and was super honest with me. Strongly recommend this place.

They went out of their way to help me when I walked in after my car battery died across the street. Extremely friendly service and gave me a cheap bill at the end. Made the whole day feel pretty good despite the problems.

One float tire charged me 35 a small 5 minutes work he
