Reasonable pricing for a suspension diagnostic $90. I waited in the very comfortable lobby. They have private rooms if you need to get work done. Almost a full kitchen set up with coffee and tea.After about 1 hour, I was out the door with the diagnostic and detailed quote for repairs. The specific noise I heard was a simple loose bolt they tightened for me, and now it's gone! Yay, thanks so much, guys!

Bring your Audi here and they know how to care it! They done EXCELLENT WORK, EXCELLENT SERVICE!! I came here for the oil change, Adrian done a smooth and excellent job, and they also washed the car which surprised me! Definitely will come back for every other service!

Bring your European car here! Aaron and the crew know what customer service means, in every sense of the word! Had the transfer case replaced on my BMW X5 at a more reasonable cost than what the dealership was asking. Experienced mechanics and wonderful staff.

They did a pre-purchase inspection for an Audi. Very thorough, and a wealth of patience and knowledge. Their pride in skill and knowledge was evident. I especially appreciated the opportunity for follow up questions, and the lack of attitude I've found at other shops.

You get what you pay for, applies here. Being an aircraft technician i have extremely high standards when getting maintenance done to my car.Got my timing chain and front suspension done on my 2012 VW GLI and my car feels new again. Even my engine rpm are down, used to be 2500 at 70mph now its 2100 at 70mph. Meaning the engine timing and components improved. And with the suspension vibrations are gone and the car feel smooth.If I was still living in Alexandria I would only rely on them for my maintenance.

Went in for a code that was causing my BMW not to start, Gio was able to help me out quickly. He diagnosed the issue got his team on it and resolved it quickly. Everyone there is friendly and responsive. They made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process, providing me a space to work and water. Highly recommended, as I will only be doing business here!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

My experience here was not the best, there were some misunderstandings over billing with one employee, but after talking with the manager we were able to reach an amicable agreement. They did a good job with the brakes and did their best to resolve our disagreement, they clearly care about quality and transparency. My experience seems to be far from the norm and they ll probably make it right if any misunderstandings do arise.Service: Brakes

DON'T CHOOSE THIS SHOP!!!! This shop is scummy. I received a verbal estimate for a job and told it'd take 3 hours to complete. I waited for the service and they completed the job in 2 hours and 45 minutes. They charged me for 4 hours of labor and told me that I had agreed to the total job completion price instead of the cost to repair. If they hadn't held my keys I would've left on the spot. They charged me for labor that NEVER HAPPENED. This was my first and last time using this shop. This shop is out to take advantage of people! You've been warned.Service: Engine repair

Up to this point, I ve taken my Mercedes CLA to the dealership for everything. Well I decided to try someone different when they quoted the cost for Schedule B service. Am I m so glad I did. I called this morning and got same day appointment and my car was on complete within a couple of hours for more than half the cost! Do yourself a favor and give them a call. Customer service is impeccable and prices are reasonable! Shout out to Adrian-super impressed with overall experience. Def will be back!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Such a great experience from my service advisor Giorgio Hernandez and his team at German Auto. Very professional and sense of urgency towards customers is phenomenal. I ve come here 2-3 times and I ve been extremely happy with how they ve treated me and I ve felt they ve given me an honest opinion. I m writing this review as I sit here waiting for my car to be washed and I know I ll be back for my other car care needs. I came today to have my brake pads replaced as I get shuttering when hard braking and while it was back in the shop, they called me and told me that my brake pads still has 80% brake pads left and 50% on my rear ones. I was very impressed because they could have easily lied to me but that wasn t the case.l, instead they advised me that I had some rust and that with a little more driving it should go away on its own, along with uneven brake pad wear. Adrian was my advisor and I hope to get him again. Thanks again folks for being honest.

Extremely polite people! From my phone call to my arrival and throughout the process of having my Mercedes service A completed, everyone I came into contact with was extremely profane polite. They have a very clean and comfortable waiting area, Wi-Fi, and private office/work space for clients to use while their cars are being worked on. Free coffee and bottle water are another addition that make German Auto Group stand out-but above all-their extreme politeness and honesty is what made my appointment stand out and created a new repeat client!

I was looking to buy a car from out of town and talked to Aaron about having someone bring it in and do a full inspection. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They did a great job doing diagnostics and giving the car a full, very detailed, inspection all the while keeping in good communication with me. I appreciate all the help and would use them again!

Great experience with this auto repair and service shop! The treatment here is top notch and they are true professionals you can trust. We are new to the area and needed to find an auto shop for our vehicle service. Took in our Mercedes GL450 and they cared for it like we do. So happy to find an auto service shop with trustworthy and friendly professionals. Highly recommend this great team and we will be using them for all of our auto service needs!

Today I stopped in for an oil change. I had spoken to Geo on the phone.After having some extremely AWFUL experience in the past, with two previous service centers, I was hesitant! I.e. My vehicle and I were ABUSED by scammer service centers. Cost me a lot financially and I kinda park my Ava "2004 bmw X3". Anyhow, I decided to get the oil change here, NERVOUSLY!! Waiting to hear the myriad of things they'd find needing to be fixed & the upselling of recommended services.I was pleasantly surprised. It was smooth sailing from start to finish, first, Joe who checked me in was pleasant, although he was in the midst of a business call, he was very responsive and welcoming .The oil was changed, along with a car wash. They didn't come back and tell me a myriad of things needed to be done. Mind you, I had topped up the oil, spilling some, German auto crew knew it was a spill, not a leak. They didn't turn their noses up because my vehicle was an older model. I've spent big bucks elsewhere with mechanics who said the age of the vehicle caused XYZ, only to find out I was scammed.i.e. they created issue that never existed.I felt relieved and decided I will be spending my money here! Any concerns I have about my vehicle I will be calling Geo :) or who ever is on the answering end of my call to this service center.My vehicle use to idle extremely QUIET! With a smooth quiet ride. You may even restart it to make sure it's on. Mechanics tampered with it and ruined that, so I almost discard it, as a result. However, today gave me hope that there are still honest service centers. I believe the mechanics here will do honest work based on how they handled this visit. If anything changes, I will update this post, but as it stands I am 100% HAPPY to have found this place...and HIGHLY recommend it.

Excellent customer service! Do yourself a favor and let them handle any of your car issues. My car inconveniently died in my work parking lot and wouldn t respond to a jump. I called here and explained my situation and spoke to a gentleman working there. He kindly went out of his way to come meet me at my work parking lot and attempt to jump my car using a jumper box. Although the jumper box didn t do the trick, he very kindly walked me through the next steps of the situation and gave me a ride to my home instead of making me wait there for the tow truck. The day after, they identified the issue with my car and fixed it in a matter of hours. They showed very kind customer service during my tough situation and deserve to be recognized for it.

I took my Volkswagen in for overheating issues and my service manager Hubert managed the situation so professionally he explained to me what had to be done. He kept in touch with me throughout the process which is really great of him to do. I also had my brake pads changed with him. Great service. Hubert was also very understanding and kind. I recommend German Auto group and Hubert.

I am writing on behalf of Martha who assisted me with an auto repair and diagnostic on my 2010 BMW X5. I am happy to write a great review for Martha who provided me five-star customer service and helped me to get my headlight fixed. I saved around $2500 by not having to replace the entire left headlight assembly. Instead Martha and her team provided a solid diagnostic and determined that the headlight wiring and functionality was not damaged but just needed replacement of a new ballast. They replaced the ballast and the headlight has been working great ever since. In my opinion, German Auto Group is a fair and honest private car dealership that does better service then the BMW name brand dealership. Their technicians are very knowledgeable and do great work. I m recommending German Auto Group to anyone in the future that needs service and Martha is you go to Service Advisor.

Great customer service, efficient services completed, and professional. Hubert provided excellent customer service ensuring that I was being taken care of. Their mechanic, Jong, was also very professional and efficient. No matter what I needed done, they were both willing to help me and provided reasonable pricing for the services, which can be extremely pricey for a BMW. My new best friends! I took my 2013 BMW X5 here for service and brakes after years of being railroaded by the dealership across the street. The staff promptly greeted me upon my arrival after setting an appointment the previous day. The staff is professional, courteous and repaired my car in a timely manner. Even though I know nothing of cars they took me in the garage to show me the issues. I appreciated being able to work in their private office suites while waiting on my car and they also have a nice clean lounge area. I will only bring my car here now! Wish I had found them sooner.

I been a customer of this business from when they opened. I have had three Mercedes Benz' during that time period. They treated all of them and my current one (CLS63 AMG) with genuine care. I will take my car to them for a service or repair before I take it to the dealership... that says a lot about theses guys and the work they do. I recently got my car serviced and the mechanic was kind enough to have me accompany him and he went over everything my car needed. I brought my car (2008 Audi A4) in for service after my oil light came on. I was most impressed because before I drove it in, the manager of the shop called me and insisted I check the oil level. There was not enough oil to drive, which I would not have assumed. He stayed on the phone with me and walked me through how to add oil to my engine before I drove in. Supreme customer service!The shop is clean and every person I interacted with was pleasant and friendly. After getting a full diagnostic, GAGA walked me through every repair and answered all of my questions. They were fast and efficient and the work was good. I got the repairs done in July 2020, and in November my car is running in tip-top shape.I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the level of customer service, especially as a single woman who has had mechanics (here's looking at you, Audi dealership!) overstate repairs, make up unnecessary repairs, and try to scare me into repairs. This place was awesome. My first time there the people were friendly knew my car (which made me feel very comfortable) advise on what was needed gave me upfront true pricing a d allowed me to choose what to do and not to do at the time. When I made a choice not to do a repair I thought was pricey they advised why it was needed the cost if I didn't do the repair but then Martha went and got approval to reduce the service cost to help me out with the amount I'd pay out of pocket. They were great and my car is running much smoother. I will be taking my car there for service from now on.

Brought my Quattroporte in for scheduled maintenance and damaged undercarriage. My service manager Hubert managed the whole process perfectly. He kept in touch with me throughout and had my car ready in less than a day. After dealing with the poor service department of Volkswagen of Alexandria it was a pleasant surprise to have one of my best service experiences at German Auto Group. Lui was a very kind, understanding, and timely service representative, one of the best I ve ever dealt with, and he went above and beyond to help me get my car back up and running. Overall a very solid family oriented business, that charged me a fair price for excellent work. German Auto Group of Alexandria, on Pickett Street needs to be trusted with caution and self education of your vehicle. The people are extremely nice and appear knowledgeable when speaking with them, but don t let the demeanor fool you into a false sense of trust.I had a transmission work done on a 2010 Mercedes Benz with German Auto Group that wasn t done correctly causing further problems. After seeking diagnosis from not 1 or 2 but 3 other transmission repair shops I learned the work done wasn t needed and the simple act of changing out the transmission fluid was and did fix the vehicle s shifting problems. I was led to believe an expensive repair, replacement was needed. This after this Group replaced the transmission once already.Approach with caution, don t let the smiles and mechanics showing you a bad part or system in the garage fool you unless you know for sure what s wrong and just need the work done.
