Took me a while to get a jump so was almost 7:30pm when I was looking for a new battery. Advanced auto parts had multiple options in stock and they offered free installation. Very pleased.

Today my car battery died and I was in desperate need to change my battery. I called around a few places and to my pleasure this location had the battery I needed. The guy I spoke to on the phone was pretty professional told me his name was DERICK. how he d put the specific battery to the side so when I get there it ll be away for safe keeping. Even though I was pretty tired and fed up with the traffic I went to retrieve the battery off the principal of him saying he d save it for me. I arrived came inside stood behind a man who was being serviced by a young man (whom I came to know later was Derick) some white guy with the store uniform comes up to the man and asked him was he being serviced and he said yes. And just left me there without asking me. At first I shrugged it off because I spoke with Derick prior so it makes more sense to continue the business with him. Finally get to the front counter explained to him whom I am and he said let s go see if I can install your battery. I said well wait you said you could hence why I came out this way because of the surety. We get to my car he looks under the hood as another customer pulls up (using this for context) and says mmm let me go see if I can get this out. So I waited for him thinking he s coming right back. After some minutes I go back inside to see him talking to the same white co worker (an older man) asking him about the cca Of the battery I have in my car vs the one I m trying to purchase. So he comes back to me and told me I need to take off the bar across the battery for him to install it and attempted to hand me some tools. I said I m no expert I can t do that. So he tells me yet again he ll come help. I go outside in good faith because I m not going to babysit you. Wait another some odd minutes to come back in and see him dealing with the customer who pulled up when we were under my hood looking at the battery. They both looked at me without a care and continued on. Derick decided to help other customers instead of helping me when I was the first one in the store left me outside twice and then when I m all upset and tell him I no longer want his help or the battery and how him and his co worker have horrible customer service he says I had to help the customers fun fact the guy he was helping didn t even purchase anything. I was about to purchase a $382 battery but based on how I was treated there s no way I could further my patronage.

Brandon the associate was super helpful and super informative to somebody who s not super well rounded in cars and it s always scared to get up charged. I felt very comfortable and felt I got good service at a good price.

Thank you, Advance Auto, for once again taking good care of my 1971 Chevelle. You installed a battery for me back in 2017 and now, with just two months left on the 3yr warranty, you replaced it with no issues. In fact, you r technician couldn't have been nicer. Great Service! Had the most welcoming and caring reception at this place. Needed my car battery replaced. The person at the store Darius was able to walk me through what I needed and later told me how I can do it myself, which I successfully did. His knowledge of car parts made, something that s complicated for me, easy. Great employee and he deserves a 10/5. Thank you.

Good customer service. The staff are quick to help and are knowledgeable about everything asked. The prices are good compared to other places like Pep Boys. I have found everything I needed each time I come here. The store looks a little drab and needs some more lighting, but overall, always a good experience. Parking is easy and convenient. I would recommend this store for your automotive needs.

Bryan and the girl at this store were awesome and vary helpful (evening April, 7). They had checked my battery for free and give me info regarding my situation. I wish every staff at auto parts store were like them! Great job!

I came to replace a battery hold down on a older car with a nonstandard thread. Jordy (sorry if I didn't catch the right name) spent 15 min helping me finding the correct sized nut and bolt that fit my battery holder.

I only give this store 4 stars due to its location. It is along Rt1 and is easy to get into the parking lot but can be difficult and confusing to get out of and/or are prone to causing one to make a bad maneuver in traffic if one is unfamiliar with the traffic pattern immediately south of the parking lot entrance/exit. I want to specifically give a shout out to Tim. I have dealt with him multiple times; he is fast, communicates clearly, and provides excellent customer service. I also want to give a shout out to Juan, who is very personable and provides excellent customer service. From my perspective, both are great employees.

Got a severe misfire during a long trip to Philadelphia. Limped along to here to get the code read and attempt a fix to complete the trip.The store associates let me use their code reader which showed a cylinder six misfire. Had an ignition coil in stock and even lent me tools to get the quick fix done in the parking lot.Utmost professionalism and respect from this store.

Customer service here SUCKS!!!! I plan on writing to corporate about my experience as well. I used to go here all the time and never had a problem. But the past 2 times I went, the clerks wouldn't install a freaking headlight or wipers for me.What's the point of paying more money for retail when I can just order everything cheaper from Amazon? This is the exact reason why brick-and-mortar businesses are going under. They are not realizing the importance of helpful, friendly service and not striving for repeat customers. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!!

I went in to purchase wiper blades a lil after 8AM (store opens at 7:30AM). The lady told me she couldn't put the blades on at that time, but I could come back later. I assumed it was because she was in the store alone. The only problem was I was catching a flight out of town so I ended up driving my car to the metro without blades because I didn't know how to put them on (silly me). As I was leaving, another employee was walking in. I asked him if he could put the blades on for me, and his response was that he worked in the back. Say what?! To me, this was a slap in the face to every other employee in that store who doesn't work in the back. It implied that he thinks he's gotten too good to put on some wiper blades because he "works in the back." Needless to say, I returned the blades to the store when I returned to town, and this location will definitely NOT get a dime from me even though I can walk to the location. I will happily drive to another auto parts store that employs people who have a bit more humility. I've worked my butt off to get to where I am and have the credentials/degrees to prove it, but I would NEVER tell someone I'm too good to make a copy or pick up a piece of trash on the ground or remove my trash from a restaurant table.

I just placed a review about horrible customer service from the manager and my review was removed. I understand the policy but when the worker which was the manager becomes rude and disrespectful that's on a whole different level. I have reported this matter to corporate and if something is not done I will take it a step further. I will never support a business who allow workers to treat customers any kind of way.

I have had the worse experience with them, i bought a altornater from them four different times and all four were defective and the tried to sale me a fifth one until I demanded it be checked first before I leave just to find out that one was defective as well... I am beyond displeased with this place and company and will be taking this as far as I can. This is very dangerous, costly, and very bad business... The gentleman even went as far as telling me that all parts are tested three times before sent out of the factory. How is this possible with this being my fifth very disappointing visit? Terrible business

Advance is always my first choice for parts for my vehicles, and this location is one of the best. Excellent customer service, and while they may not have the part I need immediately on hand, ordering though the website is super easy.

I picked windshield de icing with price tag of $6.49, whereas, I was charged $8.65. Not a good place to visit for auto parts

Oct 20 2015 we arrived from Ft Myers Fl for a 10 year wedding anniversary trip. When we arrived at Regan airport my wife scooter was dead and had a tough time. getting it to go. We were going to go downtown DC that night but could not have done that with out help of Nick and William(manager trainee). They were abl. To get the battery out of the case and found it to be cracked and leaking acid. After about an hour we were on our way to hotel to charge it up. With out these 2 fine men our trip was doomed on arrival. Thank You both, Kevin and Cathy Conley

New to Virginia so I called Auto Zone in Alexandria. BIG MISTAKE. Stuck up young girl. Called Advance Auto Parts and they went out of their way to help me find the right product and when I got to the store they even added the power steering fluid to my car. My new go to place! Thank you gentlemen!

I went to the AAP on Richmond hwy and purchased brakes. When my mechanic tried to place them on my car one of the clips was too small as if it had been returned. When I called up to the store I was told that I was unable to return it at any other location which turned out to be untrue.
