I gave another shop three chances to get my alignment right and still had a pull to the right. These guys were able to get me straightened out. Highly recommend! they will be who I m using for all my alignments.

These guys are amazing! They're such a honest company. There's a kind of company that you want to give your business too. I was referred from another friend to them truly outstanding people. If you're looking for a good mechanic. Or a mechanic that will give you their honest opinion and what is going on with your vehicle. Or if you need brakes or shocks they are your people. Go see Jon. He'll take good care of you. Their alignment work is reasonable and spot on if you're in the need of a mechanic or auto repair, give Jon call. Excellent auto repair and mechanic as well as alignment

Val s alignment is a honest repair shop! Took my car in and they recommended I get a few things fixed before they worked on my car and they didn t charge me any fees for telling me what was wrong with the car.

I can highly recommend them!They found out where "the squeaky noise" came from on no time.On top of that they were able to order hard to get spare parts from an international dealership for my German campervan within 1 day.Well done!

The gentleman there took care of our truck alignment the same day we dropped it off, even though they were already slammed with work orders. Very professional and considerate of people. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy shop.

The owner Jon is a Drama queen!It was so hilarious! I thought he was joking with me at first.He got very upset because I was correcting him when he wrote my phone number wrong twice.Then when the car was done, I asked him if I can look at it and if he can explain what was done, he was so offended and said YOU DON T TRUST ME!!! Then he made sure to make me pay, no explanation of service that was done, not allowed to check the car, then he gave me the key and told me I don t like you, DON T COME AGAIN , I must ve doubted his intelligence or scratched his ego.I kinda enjoyed the show, but it was a very pricy one.Val was the reason for the great reputation, but he must ve retired. He should ve taught Jon how to run the business, or maybe not to take little things personally.

I called Val's on Monday morning to schedule an alignment, anticipating it would be a few days out to get my truck in. I let them know I was worried about wearing heavily on my tires after just having done some front-end work on it on it. They heard my concern and said if I wanted to just bring it down and drop it off that morning they would fit it in that day.I took it down and dropped it off, they aligned it and it drives perfectly. Their service was very quick, they were very friendly and professional, and there was not one oz of Bologna in the whole transaction. I always read a bunch of reviews before I will go to a shop. Trust me, you can throw out any negative reviews about Val's and put 100% stock in all the five star reviews written about them. They are genuine hard working professionals and are fantastic.

Tires were balding on the outside. VAL Recommended the alignment. He did a great job returning the alignment to factory condition. A few days later I hit at great speed a log on the highway. I returned to val to inspect the van, he gave me a good bill of health for my van and he refused to accept the $35.00 diagnosis fee.

Jon Hansen has to be the most unprofessional business owner to date. I tried to explain about my problem and a part I had in the vehicle, he cut me off and said he doesn t care what parts I have, I don t think we are the shop for you and handed my keys back. This business is not the same quality service from years ago. It s a new owner not original owner.Service: Wheel alignment

Val's is the absolute best!! The owner, Jon Hansen, is the best! There is absolutely no way these negative experiences could be 100% correct.. He has saved us so much money on multiple cars. He tells you what needs to be done, and what should be done and can wait. He has given my family member's second opinions on pricey repairs recommended, and saved them from getting them done and discovered less expensive correct repairs. I am a woman and have only ever been treated with respect and honesty, also been in with my infant daughter and never had any problem. I would never take my car to anywhere else. I grew up with a car mechanic as a father and now that he doesn't have the time and resources to repair my car himself I happened to get so lucky in finding an honest, polite and respectful repair shop to keep my cars running!

The owner is very rude you parked in the wrong spot he gets very upset move is that how you treat your customers I work for a dealership I'll tell people about him you don't get very much business is this the way you treat your customersr

I own an automotive performance shop in Knoxville, Tennessee and needed an alignment on my cross country trip. This would mark the first time I've had any form of service completed on any of my vehicles in over 10 years. I was charged $80 to set the toe on the front of my van. I charge $25 for the same service at my shop. Staff wasn't friendly until I handed him my CC. I now know why mechanics and auto shops get such a bad rap. I experienced it first hand.

Worse place to go to. The guy was very rude and said racial stuff to us. We work at dealer and we have an exemption form and he wouldn t accept it. Also said he knows what kind of people we are. ( we are Hispanic ) wouldn t recommend. He assumed we didn t do our work legal because of our ethnicity.Service: Wheel alignmentService: Wheel alignment

Front end of my car was shaking and drifting while driving on bumps or breaking. Called Val's made an appointment went in they assess my vehicle while I waited, give me a complete analysis of what needed to be done at the same time prioritizing the most important. Very impressed their knowledge and desire to get me up and running. Highly suggest them for a front end work and brakes

Pulled in to have my car aligned next thing I know they say my front lower control arm bushings need to be replaced, didn't align the car & said it would cost $773.00!Got a second opinion since I didn't believe them! Come to find out they were price gouging me. Front end was fine and the second shop aligned it at a much more reasonable cost.DON'T USE VAL'S BECAUSE THEY ARE UNETHICAL!!! JOHN SAID "WHY YOU DON'T TRUST ME. RED FLAG THERE...

These guys were super quick, very friendly and treated my wife and 4 kids super good. Val's had the truck done on time, and even gave them all a ice cold water to drink. They really appreciated that. Truck runs great. Thanks Val's.

Took my 2003 Nissan Murano in for an alignment about 10 minutes after they took my car in the manager or owner not sure who he was told me I needed the right upper ball joint and right inner tie rod replaced. Had my niece's husband Jack it up and check both sides and he could not find a problem. Too my Murano into Les Schwab to have them do their free alignment inspection and they also found no problem and was able to align my car. I feel like Val's was trying to make an extra buck or take advantage of a 62 yr. old elderly lady. Will never recommend them to anyone.Service: Wheel alignment

I have been trying to contact this business to get some wheel alignment done for last few days as it came highly recommended. First of all, no one was picking up their phones nor was it going into the voice mail. I was able to talk to Jon Hansen who is the owner. While I was asking him the questions about the work that needed to be done it seems out of the blue he said that he did not want to work on my car. All of this happening while I was on phone. You can only imagine how the other user felt when Jon was yelling at him and his wife with a little baby in their hands. To me the owner came across as extremely unprofessional and I am glad that I did not spend any money contributing to growth of his company. These kind of people deserve to go out of business because they totally lack customer service. In these tough economic times, money is scarce and there are lot of people willing to do the work with a smile and great customer service. My advice is to skip this place and find someone else.

When ever I have handling issues I always bring my cars and trucks here, over the last 8 years I have had tie rods, wheel bearings, struts, and alignments done here on 4 vehicles. They have even done 2 timing belts, a couple water pumps and cooling fans for me while they were doing the other work.Jon has always been very fair with me, half the time I have brought my own parts and he has been helpful in making sure that I have the right parts before he works on my cars, he even got the 4 wheel drive working on my Kia after it hadn't worked in 3 years.I can't say enough good things about this shop, they have really taken good care of me.

Jon is great! Took my Colorado in for alignment, said my wheel bearing was bad. He got it fixed through my warranty company the next day. We ran into a small snag and he got it fixed as fast as HE could do it, I'm finally on the road home now.Thank you Jon!

I've been taking all of my cars to Val's for 20 years now. They are fast and most importantly honest. One experience that stands out is when I took my '89 Alfa Romeo Spider in for an alignment. Val pointed out to me that a couple of the ball joints and steering components were pretty sketchy and should be replaced. He told me that he could have done the alignment but that I would have just been back in 6 months for another one after those parts had failed. He advised me to go home and replace the parts in my own garage (I'm an avid DIY guy) and then bring it back. He could have fixed it for a lot of money but told me the least expensive way to do it and even where to get quality but inexpensive parts. Best shop ever!

These guys are top notch and helped my husband look over a car we were about to purchase. They answered all his questions and were more than helpful. We would go back to them in a heartbeat! Happy to find honest hard working companies!

I needed an alignment and brought the vehicle into Val's first thing in the morning. The job was done around noon. The price was fair and the car drives like a dream.

I was referred to Vals just for regular oil changes and inspections. Coming from someone who knows nothing about cars I have always felt comfortable with the service provided at this shop. They always take the time to explain any problems that are found in plain and simple language and why the service needs to be done now in order to save me trouble (not to mention money) in the long run. So glad that I take my car here.

Good old school shop that understands how to manually correct the alignment on a 40 year old vehicle, and does it for half the cost of the chain store computerized outfits.Made my appointment, got me in on time, was out in 30 mins. No messing around. Good deal for my purposes. Not sure what else you need from an alignment shop.

I have to honestly say that I regret every penny that I unfortunately spent at this shop. I couldn't afford to have them do all the work that Jon quoted me on, so I had them do half of it at least to help me out.Let me keep it as short as I can about this shop.1. Check for loose nuts and bolts after getting your vehicle back. A customer should never have to finish a mechanics work. (Found a couple that I tightened up myself, then went back and told Jon about it, he says he got distracted by another customer)2. Make sure they don't replace parts you never discussed with them in the first place. (Steering stabilizer that was only 2 months old, Bilstein 5100 series that I put on myself and he try's telling me it's just a shock (like a regular shock for your suspension). I had to go back to your shop and get it from you guys. Then I see that you cut the bolt to get it off. Really?3. Quadruple check your invoice.The best of all is #4.I had to make a google account to write this thing.Sincerely,You know which customer.Stop trying to rip people off or this happens.

John was so polite on the phone and honest when I arrived that I decided to have him check out another problem aside from my sqeaky brakes. My truck had been making a loud metal noise for some time and 4 other local shops checked my truck and couldn't pin point the issue over the course of 3 months and getting new tires. He found it in 10 seconds. I am doing business here from now on! The brake pad was not installed properly from another shop and was so lose it was causing a loud noise when the pad jingled against other metal parts! You get what you pay for!

Jon has always taken care of our car and kept it running smoothly. Very knowledgeable and down-to-earth service. As long as we're in Salt Lake, we'll stick with Val's.
