Came in for a head gasket job price was a little lower not much lower then other shops but they could get me in immediately and start work. I brought them 1000 dollars in new parts as well and as needed and they left my car a mess grease hand prints all over the interior and with a huge exhaust leak which the dealer wants another 2k to fix. Almost just as much as what I paid Miguel I d give them a reasonable review but the job they did is costing me double now, not to mention they broke almost every electrical connector they touched and then tried to charge me an extra 120 while they zip tied them all on the engine.

I was traveling from Texas to Washington, my power steering started going out about 3 hours from Salt Lake City on a Saturday. I called multiple shops that said they wouldn t be able to look at my car until Monday. Miguel, the owner, said he could see me that day. The shop stayed open late working on my car and were able to get my back on the road. They were my saving grace!!

I wish I could give zero stars, but that is not possible. This guy is a scam artist, he hit my wife's truck while test driving a car and refused to pay for any of the damages. The police citation listed him at fault, yet he refused to provide any insurance info for his business, instead listed the insurance of the car owner. Long story short, my insurance attempted to collect for the damages (GEICO) and was unable to after multiple attempts. I ended up paying for all the damages out of pocket and through my insurance (over $5,000). Be warned this business is as shady as they come.Service: Auto body & trim repair

Miguel is very friendly and courteous, he is very honest, and his prices are very competitive. He worked on my BMW and left it running better than the dealership for a fraction of the cost. Don t go here things were not fixed correctly.My daughter was having car issues. It was running really really rough and the check engine light came on. This was the closest shop. I called and talked with Miguel. He said to bring it in. After looking at it, said he would have the car fixed in 2 hours. Seemed reasonably priced. Had previously taken it to Autozone to have the codes read.Brought it in and he changed the spark plugs and one of the ignition coils.After bringing it home, it was still sluggish, started to run rougher again and the light came back on. We are about 40 minutes from his shop, so I found someone local.None of the spark plugs were torqued correctly. He tightened them up, as some of them were ridiculously loose, and then he put on 4 more new ignition coils as it was still misfiring.Running smoothly and correctly now another $500 later. Would ever recommend this shop to anyone else.

These clowns installed our turbo booster in backwards. Additionally they left our car unlocked, and our car was broken into because they don't have a place to store cars they're working on. On top of that they illegally parked our car on the street so our car got a parking ticket that we had to pay. Terrible all around experience. Would not recommend to anyone.

Worked on my old 93. Very thorough. Super fair. Price wasn t bad for a few hours labor. Everyone is busy right now, I recommend them and will be returning with the next issue.

I've taken my car to Jason Auto three times now and they're always quick, competent, and reasonably priced. Miguel is good about keeping you in the loop and explaining what repairs are needed and why. My Suzuki needed a new starter. The check engine light was also on. They were able to get my car in and out in a day for a good price. Car runs great again with no check engine light. Miguel was very friendly and communicative.Service: Auto maintenanceService: Auto maintenance

My car lights (AWD, no traction, lock steering wheel etc) were all lighting up, car wouldn t start right away and I couldn t accelerate. Took it to Jason Auto repair, they replaced my fuel pump and had a great experience. They are fast, friendly and fair priced. Would highly recommend!!!!!

This guys charge me almost 500$ for switching a sensor and told me had changed a turbine for the transmission so watch out and make sure he changes the part he tells ypu

Just dropped my Mazda 3 off there to get my clutch replaced. After talking to Miguel about it I'm hopeful that they will be able to get it done in good time and for a really good price. Also he was also really nice and offered me a ride from his shop downtown to my apartment. I really appreciated that!Miguel and his guys do amazing work, got my car fixed in the time that he said he would and it runs great. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Miguel has worked on all of my chevy vehicles from Tahoes to a avalanche.When I was stuck and needed to get my truck back to work he and his crew did the best they could to help me get back on my feet .Anyone from the service I recommend this shop if you want to be treated fairly and great budget deals.

Miguel and his team are by far the most professional and hardworking mechanic my whole family has ever had. I've been debating writing this review for quite a while. We had our service done earlier this year (in February or so). Our car ( Volkswagen Jetta , Diesel) broke down on the freeway and we had to get it towed to the nearest shop, which ended up being this one. They seemed real amiable and despite the area we decided (foolishly) to give them a shot, it took them nearly 3 weeks just to diagnose our car and get back to us about the problem. Once they called us back about the the problem, it was found to need a "new engine" The person who called us did not speak almost any English, and though I do speak some conversational Spanish, I don't know enough vocabulary about car specific things to get more information, we were just told it "needs an all new engine." Having already had our car that the shop for nearly a month we agreed to have them replace the engine. As the price they gave us was very reasonable. It took nearly 2 months to get our car back after that (it was late March, early April or so). In the time the car was there the mechanic neglected to lock our car while it was waiting, and our car was broken into and we had quite a few things stolen. and due to the unknown timeframe of it happening we were unable to get anywhere with a police report. We picked up the car and immediately we could tell something was off. The cars (energy) and pep were completely gone. The car would not go over 35 mph no matter how hard we gunned the gas or how long we drove. We took it back to the shop and they fixed a wiring issue that locked the accelerator. That was rectified but the car never drove the same again, accelerating seemed nearly impossible and getting the car to go over 60, such as on the freeway, would take upwards of 10 minutes even when flooring the gas the whole time. We took it back for them to run additional diagnostics, but the mechanic said there was nothing wrong and sent us on our way. This past month (November) we had to take our car in again due to the check engine light being back on, and our car needed to be reregistered. We took it into a closer mechanic and it was found that the car needed a whole new turbo booster (which in retrospect, is the exact problem for why the car wasn't accelerating.) But, considering we had just gotten a "Whole new engine" as we were quoted. We are understandably upset.I will never go back to this place. and I am so traumatized from my experience with them that I will never refer or contact this location again.Just a word of warning if your planning on bringing your car to this place in the future.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

First experience and I have a new favorite mechanic! Miguel is such a nice guy and gave me a very good price on something that would have cost me far more at the dealer. Some reviewers have mentioned a language barrier but I think his English is great. As a woman it can be hard to find someone who will take me seriously. But he treated me the same way I think he would treat everyone. Took me on a test drive before and after. And apparently he accepts crypto! �gracias!

I brought in my near totaled car and he looked at it for free then made a reasonable offer when I asked if he wanted to buy it. Miguel is a stand up guy, even gave me a ride home after I dropped it off. Also gave me reasonable estimates if I wanted to fix it. He said they always give two prices, a cheaper barebones price and a more expensive option. Would highly recommend for people who don't have much money. Very useful, I know a lot of people are going through hard times right now with covid price increases and the salt lake gentrification boom. Would highly recommend if you're in a financially tight situation.

I used to work here and the owner is a liar in many ways. For starters he uses clients cars for his own errands and allows employees to use them as personal vehicles at times. He has had a vehicle towed for driving his OWN clients car without insurance or registration. Cars constantly get tickets he will leave your car far away from his shop for weeks. He runs up miles on clients vehicles and it s completely unnecessary. When changing parts at times 95% of a job is done and the remaining 5% will have you coming back to pay more and make it appear as new problems. A job should be done right the first time. A fake smile can go a long way and Miguel knows how to manipulate clients.

Miguel took me in the same day I called and got the my oil change and rear brakes replaced in just a couple hours. Really good service and very good price! I m very happy and plan on returning again

They kept my car for a month and two weeks. They quoted me before they knew the part that was broken and then needed to charge me more than I had budgeted for. My car is doing amazing and is now running better than before. Yet the poor communication and the time it took to get it done is the reason for the rating. Otherwise it was an average experience.

I snapped the head off of a really hard to reach bolt while trying to replace a crankshaft position sensor myself. I was expecting a several hundred dollar bill to undo my mistake, but these guys got everything taken care of in one day and had me back on the road for less than half of what I was expecting to pay. This is a very lean, no-nonsense operation so you know you aren't paying for their marketing budget. These people are problem solvers. I have already recommended this shop to several friends and family. I really can't overstate how happy I am with the work they've done and the low price they charged me.

My new go-to mechanic! Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and well priced. I needed my entire radiator + hoses replaced, and it was done in about 4 hours. $500 cheaper than other quotes from big name shops. So glad I found this shop! I was visiting Salt Lake from out if town recently and my power steering pump went out at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon. Miguel had already left the shop when I called but rather than leaving me stranded, he said he would turn around and come back. I was lucky enough to make it to his shop without the engine overheating and they pulled my vehicle in immediately. Within a few minutes they diagnosed the problem, went and picked up a new power steering pump before the parts store closed, and then stayed an hour and a half late to install it on my vehicle and get me back on the road. These guys went WAY above and beyond the call of duty. On top of all that, the price was significantly lower than I expected. They say everybody needs a good Barber, a good Doctor, and a good Mechanic. I can't help you with a Barber or Doctor, but if you're looking for GREAT service at a fair price, you'll find your Mechanic at Jason Auto Repair.Service: Engine repair

Great service and a fast turnaround. I have an older car that could use a lot of upgrades but they did exactly what I wanted done, no trying to sell me on extra repairs. When I picked up the car they made sure to walk around and point out the new parts they put on, showing me the old ones they replaced. All in all a very positive experience.

I had car trouble on Memorial Day. He fixed my car on the holiday so I was able to make it to work on time and transported me twice to WesternUnion to take care of some personal business. Extremely affordable. Definitely recommend.

I brought my car in for a routine oil change, and they almost destroyed my transmission. Instead of changing the oil, they drained my transmission fluid and then overfilled the oil. Luckily, I only drove it for about 5 minutes before I had to pull over, otherwise I probably would have needed to get a new transmission. I had to get my car towed to the dealership to fix their mistake.Service: Oil change
