After rebuilding the transmission in my 03 Dodge, at times it had trouble shifting from 2nd to 1st. The truck would almost push me through a light or stop sign before I could flip it into neutral. I took it back multiple times and Scott worked on trying to figure out what the problem was. He spent a lot of extra time on it and tried really hard. I felt bad having to take it back so many times thinking they should have been able to figure out what they screwed up on by now. I was beginning to think I messed up taking it to Scott. He figured it out, it wasn't the transmission. My transmission control module was bad and wasn't allowing the transmission to down shift. When you have a worn out transmission you don't really need a transmission control module. That was 2 yrs ago and the transmission and truck tow well. Highly recommended

I m very happy with the job done on my Allison transmission. I had a front seal leak fixed and now it doesn t leak. Scott and crew are honest people which is hard to find these days. Will use again for any transmission repairs.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Unfortunately I have had a horrible experience with Scott and crew at S&G transmissions . I took my truck in there to have my transmission serviced and my transfer case resealed . My transfer case is still leaking after taking it back to them 3 times . At this point I want my money back. they charged me $1,250.00 and didn't fix the problem.Service: Transmission

S&G Transmission was Highly recommended to me by my mechanic's shop owner... as well as my Corvette specialist..... So I went to him... His first opening was a ways out but I thought he was worth the wait. My 99 Corvette lost Reverse... Turns out it lost Second, Forth and overdrive too. Anyway they ended up rebuilding the entire Transmission. Cost more than we initially thought, But, it was a total rebuild with upgrades and updates and not cheap aluminum. It runs MUCH BETTER!!! Scott and his guys know they're stuff, when I stopped by Scott showed me the old broken stuff and the new parts and how it fits together, very complicated stuff!!! All new clutches gears slip stuff belts and other stuff above my head!!! But now I know what went into the project and am grateful for all they're hard work! I'm glad I took it to S&G Scott and Kevin and Devin were great!!! Thanks guys!!!Service: Transmission

Seriously the best transmission shop anywhere. I ve been to plenty of other shops who don t really care about you. Scott at SG Transmission is an honest great guy. Not to mention the turn around speed my truck was done very fast. Overall very happy with this company and the work they do will be returning for sure.

I stopped by yesterday March 15th 2022 to ask some questions about my Ford Transit connect transmission having some occasional rough shifting. I can not say enough how much I appreciate Scott for going above and beyond for helping answer my concerns. He is extremely informative and knows exactly what he is talking about. Though I don't have any transmission problems that need fixing at the moment, I will be sure to bring my vehicle to him, when or if the time comes. (Fingers crossed that time doesn't come.) Took my 7.3L Excursion to him on my scheduled appointment. I told him I would be going out of town so I couldn't pick it up unless he finished by the next day - but told him not to rush and I wasn't worried. He had it done before my vacation. I was quoted $220 + tax for a transmission service elsewhere. He did my transmission service AND transfer case for just over $200. Very competitive pricing, very quick service, I'll definitely be back!Service: Transmission

We have had Scott work on transmissions in several of our trucks. He is always quick to get the job done and easy to work with. If we have ever had any problems he will do what it takes to make things right. He will build you an awesome transmission for cheaper than most.

Scott and his crew are some of the best in the business. If you have transmission troubles, you can trust them not to take advantage of you. In Scott's words, "We don't try to retire from each job." Transmissions are expensive, but Scott and his crew take a lot of pain out of the process and get it done fast. Highly recommended.

Best in the business! If your looking for honesty, knowledge, and a professional shop, this is the place. I took my 1969 roadrunner their to rebuild my transmission, but they have worked on all my vehicles over the years. I had SG transmission rebuild my 04 red Dodge 1500 in February of 2016. I had a pan leak that kept coming back after a few attempts to fix it. Scott took care of me even after the year was past and made sure the job was done. Quality customer service.

Our Chrysler van started having transmission problems while we were on vacation. The local dealership was horrible to deal with. Found S & G on Google. The 5 star reviews are real. Scott got us right in and diagnosed the problem. He even called to follow up and make sure we made it home safely. The charge was more than fair. Wish he had a shop in Ohio!

SMG transmission is a locally owned and operated transmission shop. Scott and his crew are always willing to help answer questions and do the job that needs to be done. I feel they are fair and honest and go there with any transmission issues.

I burned up a tranny and took it to Scott, he had it completed within 2 days.Incredible service, Great Price!!!!If you have any transmission problems Scott will take care of you.I would recommend this place to everyone I know!!!!!

I purchased a car that the transmission was done a few day before purchase by sg transmission. Ended up finding a transmission leak after getting it home, took it back and they took really good care of me. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get a transmission fixed. They did some amazing work and took really good care of my car!

My F150 was getting stuck in 5th gear. SG worked on it and I paid the bill. On my second trip with the repaired transmission, it stuck again. SG worked on it again, but for free. Took it in a third time and they found the abnormal and unique issue and fixed those issues. They covered the new parts. I m going back with any transmission problem I have in the future. I recommend you do too.

As of today this transmission shop is the second best reviewed shop. But they leave out the fact that they don't work on subaru. How can a good transmission shop not service a main brand vehicle.

This is the only place I trust to bring my vehicles for any type of transmission work they are very honest and respectful I brought my 99 Dodge Durango to this shop after having some bad luck with a different shop S&G Transmission rebuilt my transmission and it is still running strong today it's been about 2 years this is the only place I will have any type of transmission work done
