Do not buy tires here! I ordered tires clear back on Black Friday only to find out they did not have an appointment to install them till just shy of a month later. Despite that, I still waited patiently for my appointment. I get my appointment 15mins early and asked the service guy how long it would take and he told me it would take around a hour and a half. After not hearing thing for almost 2 hours, I go back to the service desk and ask them if it was done. He told me that they had just lifted it up to install the tires. Mind you my appointment was at 5:30, and it was now 7:15. It took them almost 2 hours to even start working on it! He said it would be another hour to put them on and my only option was waiting another hour or trying to schedule a different appointment earlier in the day (since they would likely be leased delayed during the day). Absolute worst service I have ever had and they had no desire to make it right after their mistake. Meanwhile, I haven t had any transportation and was stuck here the whole time they claimed to be installing my tires. The slightly cheaper price is not worth it. Pay the extra $50 and go to a tire shop that treats it s clients right.

When you have an appointment for a tire rotation and it takes "professionals" an hour and a half when you're the only car at the time of the appointment, something is wrong. I have become disenchanted with Costco and their poor service and extremely long waits. I have used them for all my vehicles for the past 12 years, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless you don't care about your time, because they sure don't.

Waited 2 weeks for an appointment only to be told that the certified tire changer techs were incapable of removing the lug nuts on my 7 yr old vehicle that gets regular tire rotations. Definition of incompetent for a tire shop. Huge fan of all things Costco and have never had a bad experience but this tire center is poorly managed and is honestly no cheaper than actual tire shops in the area. When asking questions their tire tech leader got extremely defensive and acted inappropriately. Store manager even apologized for her behavior.

Costco tire is the absolute worst. I wish I could give it Zero stars. The only positive thing I can say is that we got a pretty good price on the tires. I knew there was a problem after even with an appointment I had to wait for 2 hours before they got to our car to install the tires. About a year after we bought the tires we got a flat on our way home from a trip. We were turned away with 2 hours left in their day because they did not have "time" to patch the tire. They filled it up and sent us home. Fast forward another year and we picked up a piece of metal on the way to one of my wife's doctor's appointments. We stopped at the bountiful store 5 minutes after opening and once again were told that they did not have time to do anything. Had my wife not stepped out with her 8 months pregnant belly I don't know if they would have even filled up the air when they sent us away. They told us that the piece of metal was too big to fix and that we would have to go back to the store we got it from where they had the tire in stock. Thankfully I took my wife home first. When I got to the Ogden Costco they told me that they would take care of it. 4 hours later they presented me with a bill for $100. Some warranty. I understand that the tires are 2 years old and are prorated for the warranty. But all the install charges and extra costs were a surprise. Not only did I have to wait for 4 hours but they have removed all chairs and tables to wait so I sat on the concrete floor for 4 hours while I listen to other irate customers come in to complain and the phone ring off the hook and not be answered. Worst customer service ever! It's a shame because I love everything else about Costco.

Gunner in the tire center was extremely kind and helpful going above and beyond! He deserves a promotion, raise, or at least employee of the month recognition!

Purchased "certified used" from one Tim Dale Nissan that was supposed to have been serviced Tire rotation, balance and replaced TPSM valve at Costco for way less aggravation while shopping. Tires at Costco with courtesy and an explanation of how to trip the light off saved the day.

Is it busy? You bet.Is it worth it? If there is a sale.10/10 recommend getting an appointment online.Phone tree to get to the tire Center is annoying though. The battery policy and tire repair policy is top notch too

Put new tires, wheels, tpms on my truck drove off was super shaky once I hit the freeway and the tpms lights went off within 15 min of leaving with an error code. Sure mistakes happen. So I call in and the guy make me feel like it my fault telling me I did something to the tires.??? I literally just left. I ask if I can come in real quick to have them check to see if they forgot to tighten the lug nuts. He s says no. No time until tomorrow morning. I say okay. So I try to schedule an appointment and he says there s only one a few day out. I asked what happen to the morning? He just brushes it off. I said I shouldn t have to wait a week to fix a poor quality install. Sets up a time the following evening. I waited 2hrs for the install walked every isle and shopped. Here I sit day two. I m at the 2hr mark again. 4hrs in two day. Still not done. Lady when I walked in said they couldn t help me today. I said why? I have an appointment, then she said oh okay. When did it happen. After I just explained when it happened. Then she proceeds to grab warranty paperwork and says they will need to make a warranty claim. Dude you installed them yesterday. Store is about to close and I m still waiting. Worst customer service. Not worth saving a few dollars, time is money and they just waste it. Go to some other tire place that actually cares and takes pride in their work.

Painfully slow customer service, they are always busy and do a decent job for a good price. Plan on a minimum hour for any service.Follow-up, tires were not balanced correctly on installation. Came back and asked them to balance my tires correctly. After an hour of waiting they said they were balanced, they are not. Good deal on tires and little else.

Long line to buy tires. Bought our tires. Hadn't been called in 9 days. I was told it would be 4 days. Called them a few times. They answered the fifth time I called. Very frustrating! They said to me that another person was accidentally given our tires by mistake. Was told 'mistakes happen,' by Jacob. Because their tires were the exact as ours, we were told we could have the ones they ordered. They did not offer a suitable amends other than a verbal apology from Jeremy. I was driving on my spare tire for that whole time I was waiting for the phone call. They put my tires on. It took 1.5 hours. Longest wait time process for something like that I've ever experienced. They need to adjust their process and have 1 - a waiting area, 2 - someone to answer the phones (oh and supposedly their phones aren't working this month anyways, he said) 3 - a speed checkout line for people coming to pick up. I am very disappointed in this place. I don't recommend using their services.

The waits were long. The staff is friendly but super overwhelmed. I often have to wait for days for an appointment for a tire repaired, and even when I have an appointment, it's hours before they can patch my tire. They don't answer their phone either. I keep going because they have a warranty, but I'm not going to get tires there again. Again, the staff us nice and competent but they are way overworked.

They did the job. I called and made an appointment in the morning for installation in the afternoon (although I m pretty sure you can just roll up without an appointment and they ll get you in as soon as they are able). Got some new tires put on right before taking a 2,500 mile road trip. Tires stayed on, stayed at the correct pressure and drove smoothly. Friendly service, good prices (close to $300 less than my last set of tires that I got for the same vehicle at some place that claims to offer a DISCOUNT on TIREs). I was able to shop in Costco while the tires were put on, giving me ample opportunity to easily spend the previously mentioned $300. I ll most likely continue to buy tires from Costco.

Takes way too long to get anything done. Dropped off a car for one tire to be put on. It's been an hour. I am the only car back there. to get this appointment and get my tire ordered was an ordeal. Don't call because they don't answer .I don't think I will ever buy my tires here again. It's not worth the savings. I would much rather pay more and get things done in a timely manner.

We had an appointment at 4:00 to have our tires rotated. When we got there, they warned us they would likely be an hour, since they running behind. Since we live so far away, we decided to stay. Our vehicle was on the rack 55 minutes that we know of. We checked on it and they said it was waiting for a supervisor check. It took two hours and 3 minutes!! We are happy with the tires, but will never buy them at Costco again because of the terribly slow service. This isn't the first time we've had to wait forever. Don't buy tires here!

I just saw the mechanic go with customer in a wheelchair to his car to double check the battery type. The customer couldn t remember. It made my day. By the way, I m in line to get my second set of tires from Costco. And they were able to get me in right away.

I love Costco, who doesn't? Other than Costal elitists. They have been my go to place for tires since my parents got kicked out of the Garden of Eden and tires began to wear out. Good prices and great service. But that all changed once the tire manager got wore from being chronically understaffed and became a checker. Since then they have gone through more managers than my ex went through shoes. It used to be easy to get your free tire rotation and balance while spending $300-500 on groceries and impulse buys. Who doesn't need night vision googles? Not anymore unless your shopping takes more time than Joe does each morning figuring out who he is. I had an appointment at noon today to have 4 tires mounted and balanced. They tell you to show up 15 minutes before your appointed time. I guess that is for the time spent waiting in line before you actually see a representative to turn in your keys. I was told that it would be ready in less than 1 hour 20 minutes. We finally got it back around 2:15pm.Perhaps this is designed in order for their customers to have more time to make impulse buys and try each sample twice. Who knows. Bottom line, the free rotation and balancing is nearly useless unless you have no place else you would rather be, and love pigging out on free samples.

Don't expect to get decent service. Ever. Plan on waiting 10-15 minutes before getting to talk to anyone, and another 90+ minutes for any service. Every. Single. Time. Even during the slower times of the day or if you have an appointment. And don't expect them to honor their warrenties unless you spend 2-3 hours every month rotating your tires at their location only. They sometimes will take appointments, but sometimes they won't. Very inconsistent with terrible service. They definitely lost this customer.

I just want to say how great this place was for us! We brought in our car on an insanely CRAZY day! Normally they ask to reschedule but we drove pretty far and they were able to squeeze us in. They were obviously stressed but held their cool and were very kind. They discovered some of our rims were in trouble and helped us so much. We were very indecisive what we wanted to do and they stayed open a bit later for us to sort things out. After a long time of trying to figure it out we decided to use some of my Father's used tires in the mean time. They let us get a full refund even though they did a lot of labor on our car. We ended up not being charged a thing and they switched our wheels for us. We were very difficult, and I feel awful about that day. But they treated us so kindly. We are SO grateful!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased 4 new tires, that had an 80,000 mile warranty, from the Costco Tire Center in Riverdale, Utah on 12/6/14. I went in for a tire rotation and repair of a slow leak today, 06/19/20, and they said my tires are out of warranty, so they can't repair the leak. I have only put 40,778 miles on the tires, and they have an 80,000 mile warranty. They referred me to the "What is Covered" section of the Costco Road Hazard Warranty, which states, "This warranty is valid for sixty (60) months from the date of purchase or when the tire reaches 2/32 of an inch or less in remaining tread depth (whichever comes first). When a tire has 2/32 of an inch or less in tread depth, it is considered worn out." I have had these tires for 66 months, which is outside the 60 months on their warranty, despite the tires only having half of the 80,000 mile warranty. Here is the note from today: "Right rear tire is road hazard 5/32". Tires are out of warranty due to being purchased 12/2014. Uneven wear on tires. Recommend 4 new tires." Seems like a scam to me.

I had an evening appointment, they found I had an obstruction in my tire and it needed to be replaced. James G. spent over 45 minutes with me reviewing the options and taking care of me even though he was already clocked out and was the last person there. Appreciate his expertise and level of customer service, this is why we buy our tires from CostCo.

We have bought our tires from Costco back East the last few years, no issues. In the 10 months we have lived here we have gone to the Ogden Costco twice and had horrible service.First time was to get tires rotated, almost ended up loosing a tire shortly after, because they were not tightened correctly.Just went in yesterday to get a flat repair on our new car, spent $12 and waited over 40 min before they called and said they couldn't fix it. Tried to sell me tires that for 2 would have cost me only $300 less then what I spent 1 1/2 years ago on 4 for my minivan.Very disappointing.

The servicemen are super friendly otherwise this would have been a one-star rating. They just don't seem to know how to do anything. I bought tires here about a year ago and every single time I need to have them rotated they either can't get the tire off or break a lug nut. In either case this requires another trip to a different shop because Costco can't fix them! (WHY?!) 3 shop visits, usually over 3 days as I work full time, to complete a job that should be a <20 minute job. (They are really good at refunding the second shop fees though) The last time I was getting a tire "unstuck" the second shop made it seem like whoever had last worked on my tires had done a really poor job.Second issue was I had a flat they couldn't repair and after purchasing 2 new tires they installed the incorrect sizes! They didn't notice right away either, I've been driving on them for a while. The extra savings from the tires do not outway the long waits inline, extra shop visits, and low confidence that my service is going to be done correctly.Would never recommend.

An hour and a half wait time for a flat repair is ridiculous. Any other tire shop would be able to perform this service in less than 30 minutes. Each time I've been into this tire center I've had a crazy long wait. They really need to improve their process to minimize wait times.

With their promotions, the price was the best I could find but...I waited over 2 hours for them to put on the new tires. And that's with an appointment. Not sure why it took so long or why my car sat on the lift for over an hour but it's why I'll be going somewhere else next time.

Decent prices bad service. Never have had a timely experience in all the years I have used them for tires. Waiting for 20 minutes ,on a Monday morning, to get your keys after they call you and tell you your car is ready, not fun. Need a waiting area or additional customer service employees.

On the website, it says they take walk-ins and to call for availability. Don't waste your time they don't answer the phone's.

Don't bother with an appointment!! We had an appointment at 11 am for a nail in our tire. No one was in any bays when we arrived. Just 4 or so people goofing off. It's been 1 1/2 hours and it's still not done and my food is melting. Save yourself a big hassle and go to a real tire service center. This isn't it!!

I'm writing this as a warning to anyone considering tires from this Costco. If I could give it 0 out of 5 stars I would. Avoid this place at all costs. While installing my new tires, they stripped two of my tire studs, and explained to me that it had been like that before. They sent me on my way with 3 lug-nuts loosely fitted on my tire. When I looked at the studs my self, it was clear they had been freshly stripped. It looked like they had put the lug-not on crooked and kept drilling.Long story short, I had to pay around 150 on my dime to repair the damage they had done. Spend a little extra and have professionals who will admit to their own fault and not send you on your way with their mistake.

WARNING! DO NOT BUY TIRES HERE! DISCOUNT TIRE WILL MATCH THEIR PRICE AND HONORS THEIR WARRANTIES! IN FACT THEY SUGGEST YOU REPLACE THE TIRES AND PRORATE THE WARRANTY AT 4/32 WHICH IS TWICE THE LEGAL TREAD LIMIT... A MUCH SAFER EXPERIENCE. THIS SHOP WILL LEAVE YOU HANGING AFTER YOU BUY THE TIRES AND TRY TO WIGGLE OUT OF THE WARRANTY!I echo what everyone said about it being painstakingly slow and half way expected that, but my experience with this shop are far worse then just slow service, not being able to reach anyone there for help or questions EVER, and 3 or 4 day wait just to get something fixed like a nail in the tire. Those things I can put up with for the great price I got on the tires.I got a nail in my tire last fall and scheduled an appointment to get it fixed. After the few days of waiting my wife was told they could not do it because the tread depth was to low. The leak was very slow so I decided to bring it home and shop around. A few weeks later they had a sale so I scheduled another appointment and had my wife bring it back. After waiting at least an hour they told her that the tread depth was to high and that they could not prorate the warranty. Come on Which is it? You can't make the claim both ways!I told them a when we brought it in last time that they would not fix the nail in the tire because there was not enough tread. He told me there was a lot of slush on the road and it was hard to tell and that they would have to look at it again. He also said they would not honor my warranty unless I had proof of rotation since I had them rotated at the dealer with an oil changes (since their service is so slow). This meant I would have to wait another 3 or 4 days.I can understand asking for proof of rotation if the wear is uneven but the wear on my treads are very even and exactly the same since I rotate the tires religiously every 3-5 thousand miles. Discount tire has honored my warranty in the past without even looking in their own system because my tire wear is so even. What it really comes down to here is that the staff is looking to do the least amount of work possible. There have been times when I have come in and no one is in the shop. People are standing around in back but no one would come up front to help me. When I finally had someone for the service desk go back and get someone they would not see me and made me schedule an appointment several days out.To wrap this up, I ended up driving the car 15,000 more miles with the screw in it most of the way through the winter. Tonight it got to the point that it was goign flat every day and a half and I got sick of filling it up so I took it off and patched it myself. The screw was right in the middle of the tread and the tread depth was 4/32 which means that 15,000 miles ago it was even thicker than that. I don't know what to say. I am besides myself.Even if discount tire will not match Costco's price I will not buy tires from Costco again.

Had an appointment to rotate my tires at 10 am, dropped my truck off at 9:50 and went into shop and after taking my time I went out at 11 and they had just pulled my truck in. 45 minutes later my truck is done but now clunks as it drives. Had to return to the shop and they had to place a different style of weights on because the ones they installed were hitting the calipers. Finally left at 12:45. I might go somewhere closer and pay it off pocket next time I need a rotation.
