Avoid this place at all costs. All I wanted was my boat winterized and shrink wrapped. What I got was $1,200 bill from a competent marina in needed engine repairs to fix what these guys messed up and $300 to buff the burn marks off the boat. No offer from Adventure Marine to pay for damages. Place is a joke. Sid and his wife will lie to your face.AVOID.

STAY AWAY!! The most inept marina on the Wasatch Front. Brought in a perfectly functioning boat to have the outdrive seal replaced, motor winterized, and shrunk wrapped. 18 months later I am still paying for repairs to the service I had done at Adventure Marine. The seal they replaced was installed incorrectly causing water to rush into the engine compartment with such velocity that our bilge pump couldn t keep up. Our canvas boat cover had denim patches sewed on where they burnt the canvas with the torch for the heat shrink. Our hot water heat exchanger was not drained properly and froze, splitting it, destroying it. A water line from the manifold was not clamped in place causing all the water the exhaust manifold took in to blow-into our engine bay. My depth sounder no longer worked and the burn marks from the shrink wrap had to be polished out. When I asked what Adventure Marine was going to do about all the repairs, they went silent. Never heard from them again. Totally ignored. All the promises of great customer service are lies. I paid these clowns $3500 for service. I ve since paid over $2400 to have their service fixed. And not a word from these charlatans.You are better off finding some 3rd graders and having them service your boat. Hell, the 3rd graders might get something correct.

After thinking about leaving a review for a long time I finally am doing it. I had to have a motor replaced in my 2002 seadoo Waverunner. Atleast that s what I was told cause it had filled up with water. It took several months to get it installed and returned to me. The very first time I took it out it immediately filled up with water again. So I took it back to them and after being told it was first a fuel pump issue which costed me approx $900. Then when it came down to it I was told the new motor they put in was bad and needed to send it back and get a replaceMent. Which warrenty covered the motor but not labor. So I approved then to do it. Well 6 months goes by and I call to find out what s the progress on my machine and I m being told it will be done on several different dates . Then comes more issues I m told had to buy new computer and a few other things. A couple later I m being told that they can find my injectors that they accidentally got sent with bad engine and they were having the mechanic pay for new ones which were actually bad ones that got put on it. Long story short when I finally was told my machine was ready I was excited and went and got it. Thinking it was going to finally be good. When I picked it up Sid proceeded to tell me I didn t owe for labor and he was no longer working on older machine and he never wanted to see my machine again. I thought wow cause I was prepared to pay. Well I immediately took it out to the water and guess what it did the exact same thing! Come to find out the carbon ring was broken and was leaking water through the boot . I took it to a trusted mechanic and he fixed that in about a hour. Got it started and took out on water again. Ran for approx. 3 mins and bogged out . Well come to find out that motor was bad to but the worse part is the shop had my machine for so long that my warrenty had ran out now I m stuck buying a new one 5000 for nothing in the end. This shop was too busy working on there new addition to their shop and didn t work on my machine in a timely manner. I should of read reviews before I ever took my machine there . Nothing worked right after they worked on machine. They even told me they tested my machine in there tank . If they did they would of seen it still was taking water on. It probably never needed new motor just seen someone who didn t know crap about waverunners and took advantage of me.

This business is a legitimate joke! Nothing but delay after delay and excuse after excuse! After multiple trips back and forth my motor was never fixed yet I paid for it! I understand labor isn't free and I understand that OEM parts can be problematic to procure however I don't understand the lack of executing a customer's request and doing quality work upon completion. In the end game if your trying to keep a business reputable this place had me fooled. I had Lee's Marine go through it afterwards and it was obvious that there was little work done to it besides the plugs being changed and some overly expensive lower unit oil being replaced. Word gets around faster than ever these days and I know that I will not be doing business with this place ever again!

Planned to meet at a boat ramp 5 mins from my house to help me find a leak. Day prior to appointment they called required pre-payment of $430. This was the amount just to show up. I went ahead by myself and found the leak in 5 minutes. My buddy has a fishing boat he paid these guys thousands to get it running. They even said it was tank tested under load. Except they don't have a tank....his boat has been sitting in his driveway for 6 months it won't run for 5 mins. They know how to charge. It's clear to see they are only interested in big money boats.

I have had my boat here twice the past 2 years. Last summer they had it for almost the whole summer. Nothing they did fixed the problem. Almost a grand later and nothing changed. This summer 2023 I dropped the boat off June 10th and got the boat back September 11th. Once again after the whole summer, I finally put it in the water and noticed a sliced piece of pipe that was supposed to be fixed was not. I was told by Sid that it was fixed and the pipe was long enough so they just trimmed it off. The tube was not fixed at all. I know the boat is older but after 2 months last summer and 3 months this summer, I wasted a bunch of money and time. I am just trying to figure out what they did other that fix a hinge and seal a few exhaust ports. Waste of time!!! Look elsewhere. I ll never go back!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I took my 1969 fiber form boat into the shop and they diagnosed it properly and told me all I needed to get done. It was a great experience and they re really good at what they do. They have some nice boats for sale to.Service: Boat trailer serviceService: Boat trailer service

Adventure Marine was great to work with. I am new to boating in general. Sid answered all of my questions and was a great communicator. He helped me order an outboard motor which unfortunately was damaged during shipment. Sid was quick to call and inform me. He called with an alternate solution and ensured that we were taken care of. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone. They really work hard to make sure their customers are happy and informed. I wish I could give a 10/10!Service: General installation

I really can't comment on this business yet. I made an appointment with Adventure Marine to have my 50 year old 24 ft Fiberform boat inspected and certified safe for use. I will comment further after the inspection is complete.

Will not recommend then due to the way they handle services. First I set up a time to bring it in and 5 weeks later they still had not started the work, 2nd they said they would provide a complimentary inspection which ended up costing me $180. next when they did the work they over charge me for the part and labor. Cost me $200 more for the part and 8 hours longer than what you hear online it should take and cost. After all that they removed my prop and told me it was bad and again wanted to charged $200 more than I could get on line. and did not give me the washers and nut to put it back on. Then I could not put my second prop on when I got home. I know they need to make money but the way they do it is a bit shady. I think I will try other places before I go back there. I'm betting I will get prompt service with no hidden or over priced service and all my parts back when they take them off. Cost me over $$800 more then the other shops a little down the road and wont take 2 months to get my boat back. Be careful and take your time looking around.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I bought from them, a 2003 Larson SEI 190 with a Volvo Penta 4.3 GL inboard engine. I have had several boats, all outboard motors. I am not familiar with inboard motors. Sid (owner) was super helpful selling the boat for which I paid over $14,000 cash. Initially I gave them 5 stars. Not anymore.I did not get to use it last year 2022, so I had them winterize it for me. Note well, it has not been used since buying it.Today 6/13/2023 I connected all the loose battery wires, charged the battery, full tank of new fuel etc. Engine cranks but won't start. I called and his wife Michelle said he is too far behind and will not take calls. I towed the boat to their business and simply asked Sid if he could advise how to start it.All I got was a barrage of how far behind he is and he cannot give me a minute.Well there is customer service. One easy lesson on how to loose a customer.I'll find another dealer who is interested. Worst place EVER! They had our boat for TWO years! This place is unreal. We missed two seasons of boating. They always had an excuse. They "fixed" it ones and we took it out on the water and luckily made it back on shore. They are friendly but go some where else I promise anywhere else would have been better. And it happened to our wave runner as well..it was not just a one time thing...unreal!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Our boat was in the shop for 3 months. We were so excited to get the call that was ready to go. $500 later we take the boat out and get stalled out in the middle of the reservoir and require paddles and assistance to dock. We contact the company and bring it back again to have them call and say the issue was fixed again. Took it out this morning to have it not even start long enough to leave the dock. Not sure what we paid for except a complete waste of time and money. If it was not able to be fixed they could have just said that to avoid us even trying.Services: Tune-ups, Engine repair

Outboard repair turned out to be desaster they replaced the oil compartment and it leaked water into oil and then took months to do warranty repair just to have same problem.

My earlier review was completely wrong. I found out soon after, that Adventure Marine mis-assembled my drive unit, doubling a seal and causing water to enter the gimbal housing, destroying my gimbal bearing and U-joints. The also installed my intermediate shift cable wrong, causing it to wrap around the drive shaft. All this came after having to retighten all of my hose clamps and reinstall my battery and air cleaner housing, which they neglected to even leave me the hardware for. Oh, thanks for dropping my trailer and bending my landing wheel, too! See you in small claims court.

Just a quick note to Sid and Michele thank you so much for turning around my Moomba Max so quickly. I went into Shallowater sucked up a lot of debris and they were able to get my boat back to me before the weekend when I put the boat in the the shop on a Tuesday. This type of turnaround for this time of the year is amazing thanks guys highly recommended.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Called ahead to ask about how long the service would take to summerize and get an oil change for our two machines. Dropped them off May 17 and just barely got them back June 9.. So it took almost 4 weeks for this to get done. We were told it would take 3-5 days for an initial assessment and then they would call with the finally estimate for cost. We were told $180 per machine and ended up paying $600 for them. Will not be coming back or recommending them to our community.Service: Oil change

Having just come from a boat repair experience with disorganization, untimeliness, complicated pricing, and inconsistent communication, it was really amazing to find "Adventure Marine and Power Sports".They were organized, professional, timely, and communicative. They are very transparent with pricing and needed repairs. They gave me a full inspection report on my boat, engine, and trailer with photos, comments, prices, and a "Red", "Yellow", "Green" evaluation to help me understand priority.You won't experience the same things that bother you with other repair shops. Absultly the best mechanic I've ever met, and a even better guy. I had a issue at the gorge and this man and his wife came at 1:40am. My boat almost sank, I called sid and he was on his way. I'm a lifetime costumer because of the integrity, respect, and quality I get. Thank you so much sid, your the best.

BEST Shop in Utah!I have had my UTV's and ATV's serviced and repaired at many different shops. Adventure Marine and Powersports is hands down the best.I will not take my toys anywhere else.
