Update - Went to pick up my vehicle again, 4th time, and I saw a 4" circumference oil leak under my vehicle. Went in the office, Keith came out, looked at it and said they'd take care of it. I was flabbergasted that it was done WRONG again. Then another guy came out, look under the vehicle and said it's just RESIDUAL oil leaking. I said, WHAT? There shouldn't be any oil leaking from underneath my vehicle. He stood up and said, It doesn't matter, you're not important and won't be coming back again!! I was stunned. I followed him into the office and asked did you just say what I think you said? He laughed and said yes. I asked his name, MR CUSTOMER SERVICE'S name is ZEKE. Tracy obviously could care less about how his customers are treated. This morning there were two big oil spots on the floor of the garage. I crawled underneath and can see oil dripping from the pan that covers the bottom of the vehicle. I now have an appointment with VW in Orem as my husband is concerned that they not only stripped the drain plug but ruined the thread inside the oil pan. Last pic is the latest oil in my garage.Unless you are desperate and can't get your automotive work done anywhere else I would avoid Tracy Auto like the plague. I have been going to him since 2010. Took my VW Touareg in for a SIMPLE oil change on December 1st, I reminded them when I dropped it off that they CANNOT reuse the metal oil ring on the drain plug. Picked it up and didn't drive it much and on Sunday I noticed a huge oil slick in the house garage. It was so large I can guarantee that the mechanic did not even put in an O ring let alone use the old one. I called them Monday Dec. 4th about the oil slick and mess in my garage. I also sent a text to Tracy, he didn't seem real concerned about it. Took it back in on the 4th for the 2nd TIME and on the way home I checked the oil level, its done electronically in the VW. They had overfilled it and there was a message it was overfilled and need to reduce the oil level!!! I called and got their VM and left a message. I did not hear back from them and forgot as I was getting things ready for Steve's surgery on the 7th. On the 8th I called again and the front desk guy said I could bring it in the 11th or 12th. Of course now I would need to find someone to meet there to take me home and then take me back to get the car since Steve could not drive after his surgery, no weight bearing for 6 weeks. Dropped it off on the 12th and when I picked it up I checked the oil level and it was down 2 marks from the MAX level, it was not full as it should have been. Even though the guy at the front desk told me they had removed 8 quarts and put 8 quarts back in. I believe that was a lie and probably got the information from the mechanic who can't seem to do a simple oil change. I figured screw it, I'll add some oil in a week or so. Today, Dec 18th, coming back from the barn I noticed a big wet spot in the garage. Got out and SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE. There was another big oil spill on the garage floor. See last picture on the review. Called and got the same lack of any real concern and could care less if I had to come down again for the 4th TIME!! Told the kid I wanted 50% refund on my oil change and he could check with Tracy before I got there. Couldn't find anyone to pick me up so we got Steve into the 2500 pickup and he followed me over. The counter guy said Tracy would NOT refund any of the cost of my oil change, THEY DON'T DO THAT!!! WHAT????? Took it in at about 10:30 am this morning still haven't heard back and quite honestly I expect it to leak again!!!I will never set foot into Tracy Auto for anything ever again. I wouldn't go there to get a flat tire fixed. Tracy could care less about his customers and the incompetence shown on a simple oil change and how I have been inconvenienced is appalling. Be warned, You are rolling the dice if you take your vehicle in there for anything!!! Find somewhere else to go.

Had them replace a water pump in my F-150 2017. I had been losing coolant for awhile and had been unable to figure out where as it was not pooling anywhere. They figured out the issue. New water pump was installed but happened to be defective out of the box. They got my truck right back in and put another new pump in. This time with 0 issues. Thanks again!

We were traveling from Lake Tahoe back to Kansas when our thermostat quit working. After contacting several shops with 1 week to 1 month backlog, I contacted Keegan. He was able to squeeze us in the next morning. In less than 2 hours we were on the road. Keegan is very professional and treated us well. I would highly recommend Keegan and Tracy's Auto Repair. Been taking my vehicles to Tracy s for a little while. Mostly oil changes and such. I have zero complaints. Work is done pretty quick, they are honest about what needs to be done and they do a darn good job. Grandma always told me to visit a conservative dentist and a conservative mechanic, both will do what is necessary but not what costs you an arm and a leg or tooth. If it ain t broke, these boys won t fix it but if it is, this is the only place in town I trust. Oh and they sell a few vehicles too so maybe my next ride will come from Tracy s, I know he will give grandma and me a good deal, especially after this amazing 5 star review (joking of course). God bless America and God Bless my conservative mechanics at Tracy s Auto repair.

On Wednesday, September 7, 2022, I was hauling a four horse trailer and my horse up to the event center in Heber to participate in a two day event. On the way up my Ford F-350 Diesel truck started overheating. A two hour drive turned into 4 1/2 hours as I limped into Heber. I was able to unhook my trailer and put my horse up at the event center and get my truck over to Tracys auto repair. It was well after 8 o clock but I just parked it there, put my key in the dropbox and left a voicemail on their phone. They got back to me first thing Thursday morning and promise to work it into their schedule to take a look at it. Thursday evening they let me know it was the water pump and they would get the part in on Friday and have it ready for me Friday afternoon to haul home.I cannot thank these guys enough for helping me with my emergency. Prioritizing getting my truck up and running so that I could hook up, get my horse, my 15-year-old kid, and all of us back home. They were efficient, patient with all of my phone calls and checking on updates, and competent. I hooked up the trailer and hauled everything home without a problem. Thank you guys so very very much!Service: Engine repair

So my name is Erik O ReillyI'm not your average customer and i try to be a reasonable man. I was a highly qualified automotive technician for very well known car dealership and helped ran a small auto repair shop two plus years automotive schooling so I have a strong understanding of both sides of the fence. The stars are not because of the repairs but for the professionalism and lack of training and not going over a job ticket one final time before talking to customers. I asked for a few things to be looked at. A fuel leak , service transfer case and rebuild the rear end. I was told the truck was finished but come to find out they fixed everything besides the fuel leak. I called up and talked to the kid. They had me come back so they can make a very simple repair. I showed up and sat in the lobby for two hours to be told i needed to come back the next day. While i waited in the lobby i overheard two employees make fun of other customers in front of me. I showed up the next day i waited two hours again. I even know i wasted four hours in their lobby, half a tank of gas and had to leave work early to return two extra times. I was still asked to pay for them to repair a fuel line that had a good size leak. Me being a new customer was very disappointed in them.

Great people that deliver quality service at a reasonable price. I took my car into a dealer for a recall, and they told me it needed several repairs and quoted me prices. I called Tracy s and they quoted me around the same on some repairs and much cheaper on others. I took it in and it took them a couple of days to repair some things on the car except for the rear struts. They said it would take a week for the struts to come in. After a week I called about the struts, and they did they were never ordered, so they ordered them and that it would take another week. I waited and I had to call again instead of getting a call I was expecting to see if they were in. They came in on a Thursday. I was moving out of state on a Saturday, so I needed the car repaired no later than end of day Friday. I told them such and they said they would have it done sometime Friday. I drive there and drop off the car first thing in the morning. I call several times during the day asking about the status and I get a response similar to it ll be the next one in . I m busy packing to move and so I forget until about a half hour before closing and I get a call saying they were busy and didn t get around to it and when I d like to reschedule. I would imagine after waiting nearly three weeks for a part, I d be first in line, but I guess not.Overall, not very good communication, but reasonable prices and good work. I d recommend google here if you can wait and be severely disappointed over a long amount of time. Maybe you ll get lucky and get in quickly though too.

Cathy gave me an appt for 8am. My car didn't get driven I to the bay until 9am since they had to clear out their mess from the night before. Really unorganized. Another guy came in that had appt. They told him they were behind and come in sometime in the afternoon.Cathy gave me a quote on the most it would cost to install a hitch on my car. She said it would only take an hour and a half at the most Of course when the guys went over their time all of a sudden they charged me extra. Cathy changed her tune as soon as we called her. She back pedaled when she knew she was wrong. Really sad. I wouldn't have brought it in for that price I was charged. My advise is to go to Point S.Service: General repairs & maintenance

If you are looking for incompetence and dishonesty, this place is for you. We towed our car in and three weeks later we towed our car out. They charged us over $300 for nothing. They couldn t fix it. They have no idea what they are doing. Three weeks and nothing. There are no trained mechanics in the place. Keaton at the front desk will promise you everything and never deliver. He isn t a mechanic and knows nothing about cars. Telling the truth doesn t matter to these people.Don t go near this place.Service: Engine repair

Sticking to the facts, so I can alert other vehicle owners. I consider this a public review, and I d want to know if it happened to someone else.Took my truck to Tracy s auto in Heber.Told them it was shifting hard, making a clanking noise, and that my trailer lights didn t work. Check engine lights were on.Took them two days to let me know it was a ujoint and engine coil, as well as a bad fuse for the lights. Another day to replace those.I picked it up after hours (and therefore didn t have any to explain to me why the check engine lights were all still on), paid the bill ($105 for a fuse?!?) and drove the truck exactly 30 miles (I have odometer reading on invoice and when it seized). The engine seized, and the truck had to be towed. After asking other mechanics to diagnose it, they said there s no way any mechanic should have missed that the engine was seizing, because of the clanking noise it was making. They told me it should never have left the shop, and was unsafe to drive.I called Tracy s auto back and explained to them what had happened. I asked that since my truck was now salvage material, would they be willing to refund the labor only and meet in the middle, since I paid $557 for a truck that didn t make it 30 miles down the road. I thought meeting in the middle was reasonable. They said no. They wouldn t be willing to refund anything.

I brought my car to them to install a hitch. First time I waited 5 hours for a 2 hour job. Finally called them. They said they are backed up and can't service my car that day.I returned a week later. They installed the hitchWhen I went to roll down my windows from driver side, none worked. In fact the power to the driver side control panel that controls power windows, mirror adjustment and lock/unlock button had no power. They said they had nothing to do with that although they installed wiring for the hitch. I asked to talk to owner, the 16 or 17 year old attendant said the owner will not talk to me and asked me to leave. What a customer service. They are over priced and irresponsible.

Terrible customer service. Bought tires through goodyear online and Tracy's auto repair happens to be the only shop that goodyear works with. They don't communicate with the customer, had my original appointment on the 20th, they told me the tires would arrive on 22th, went back on the 23rd, Still nothing! Finally goodyear reorder the tires, got it sent to them and it finally arrived yesterday. Of course Tracy's doesn't like to ever answer the phone and not they only want to change my tires on the 3rd of January. Terrible customer care from their part!

My brakes gave out on a road trip and I called Tracy s for last minute help and they SAVED ME. They asked me on the phone what has happened before I even went in and already had an idea of 2-3 things that could be the problem. They put in a last minute order for me and did the work as quickly as they could. Customer service is awesome, friendly and straightforward. I would recommend this shop to anyone!

$72 for a $20 thermostat? Then had to go back because they barely had the heater hose & radiator hose back on. Would have been nice to know they were installing a gold plated thermostat before hand. Had them back flush the heater core, or they were supposed to anyway however the bill says they charged me to replace the heater hoses, which they did not so I feel l ike they didnt even do the back flush.

Made an appointment 2 days in advance and dropped my car off hours early to find that they didn t even look at it. Waste of time. Had important repairs that had to be put off for another day because of their lack of pride for their work. Do not waste your money. Point S does a better job plus they don t waste your time with lies.Services: Brakes, Air conditioningServices: Brakes, Air conditioning

I went to Tracy's Auto after a referral from a client. I had them put a new engine in my car. The manager never went over any kind of warranty with me so I assumed they got the engine from a reputable place. I have had nothing but problems with my car and ended up buying a friend's car. The first several months after I got my car back, I had it back to them several times because it wasn't running right, was burning oil. They probably had it more during the first 3 months than I did. One time I went and just got the car back because they had it for so long. I finally found a mechanic who had time and was willing to look at it and I was told they gave me a bad engine. Now they aren't standing behind their work, won't return my calls or even take my calls. I have talked to other mechanics who say that if they got the engine from a reputable place, they should get another engine for me and replace the bad one they put in. They basically just took $4,000 and gave me back a car that I can't sell for what I put into it. This is why mechanics get the reputation for taking advantage of females who know nothing about cars. My bad I guess. I would not recommend Tracy's Auto for anything except for being dishonest, not standing behind their work, or taking advantage of people they know don't have money to waste. Unlike them, when I try to sell the car I will be honest and fully disclose the problems with the car. I hope I can save someone else the hassle and problems I have had in dealing with them.

We moved to Heber 5 years ago and have been taking our 2005 and 2013 vehicles here for general maintenance and oil changes. They've always been honest with us. We did have a misunderstanding one time but it was my mistake not theirs. I have no problem recommending them.

This place is great. It's always hard to take your vehicle places to get repairs but I felt good about the atmosphere I was in. The prices were reasonable and they had my car done when they said it would be. Thank you Tracy's Auto

U-Haul trailer rental drop off. Arrived at site, 25-30 year old male tells me to back the trailer. Doesn t get out of his chair the whole time I am unhooking. Ask about paperwork before leaving. States he just emailed it, phone was dead, get home and plug in to find no email. Finally get ahold of the young man after calling the 4 numbers they have listed. He answers and says he hasn t had time to check it in yet. No professionalism, no help, just poor business all around.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THEM! I'm currently stuck on the side of the road. I took my 2010 Subaru with 50k for a lube and oil change. Drove my car maybe 3 miles and it completely stalled out. They broke my coil which was arching spark across the whole engine bay. The guy came and said yep this isn't our fault it's a faulty part. Proceeds to leave me on the side of the road. Doesn't offer a tow home nothing. The car is brand new bought from a Subaru dealer, I dropped it off after work in which it ran perfect and after taking it to Tracys it suddenly breaks down. The coil is $300 plus labor, so thx for the $500 dollar oil change Tracy!!! Also I almost forgot the positive battery cable wasn't even tightened down was basically off the post when I opened the hood!!
