For some reason with a recent bus route change there is a bus stop IN my driveway. Not only is it considered trespassing for a line of kids to be in my driveway onto my front yard, it is also unsafe as I am coming and going from my house at the same time as well as my neighbors who park on the street in front of my house. I've called the bus garage multiple times in the past month to talk to Christy in charge of routing and I've talked to the driver who just told me that the kids were in charge and have yet to see any results. There is a corner 20 yards in both street directions and it would be easily moved and much safer in either of those places. This goes to show the disregard for the saftey of children the Iron County Bus Garage maintains.

I am baffled that children are not allowed to ride other kids bus if they are going to another kids house after school, even with permission. It s a mode of transportation, if they re not riding one bus, they re riding another. Either way they are being transported by the school district s bus system! When speaking to Josh at the bus garage I was met with a very dismissing and cold tone. Not really understanding where the liability comes from if permission is given, everyone would be aware of which bus my child would be on. It is what it is, I just don t agree with it, seems ridiculous.

Iron County has some of the worst, rudest amd inconsiderate drivers I've ever encountered. I understand the urgency of getting to and from each place in a timely matter but clearly it's at the cost of other drivers. I have first hand witnessed an accident with a bus driver that could have been avoided if a little more patience had been involved. (This was no doubt the bus drivers fault, who showed no remorse) I believe these drivers need more training before hiring them off the streets. This job that involves getting our children to and from school should have a better process of getting qualified drivers who do not put others at risk on the road.

I love working for ICSD.Driving a school bus is so much fun.Sure there are days that the students can get loud and roudy..but overall, I love it. Better than my 25 yr medical career.I get the best of both worlds. The people I work with are also awesome !!

Almost every window is broken and let's cold air in. The buses are extremely unsanitary and the bus driver refuses to turn on the heater because he doesnt like it when everybody wants it on.
